3. Shooting Pros & Cons:
There were both positives and negatives regarding today’s shoot. I have summarised the
positives and negatives below:
• No Distractions
• Management of Equipment
• Shots Double Taken
• Travelling to and from Location
• Weather
Today overall was a successful shoot, for example we didn’t have any distractions when
filming which allowed me and Brandon to get on with filming without having to pause and
then resume filming which was a hassle in previous shoots. We also made sure that the
equipment we used during today’s shoot was kept safe and was always within hands distance,
we also handled the equipment with care when filming outside. The final positive of today’s
shoot was the double taking of the shots we did, similar to previous shoots we made sure that
we were always doing each shot twice to limit errors. In terms of negatives for today’s shoot,
the weather did have an impact on the shoot since it was raining at the start of the day it did
in fact hinder progress before we went to film. In addition to this, today we spent a lot of time
travelling between locations which again hindered progress and fatigued us.
4. Shooting Takeaway’s:
There you have it, that was the review of the final shoot for Crossroad Films we will now go
on to edit all of the shots we have chosen from the 3 shoots we have done and create the
trailer for ‘Crook’. Overall today’s shoot went well and there isn’t to much to complain
about since we managed to film everything we needed to in the time we allocated
ourselves. The main negative that I think affected our shoots was the time it took us to get
to and from the location that we were filming at. Eventually when it came to filming me
and Brandon were already tired however we kept pushing on and made sure that we got
what we needed to do done and dusted. With filming done, we move onto editing and I am
confident that me and Brandon can keep the work rate up and finish editing the trailer
before the final deadline. A rough edit of our trailer will be ready for Friday which will show
you the progress that has been made.
