Introducing the school to the partners
Our institute is made by two schools with different course:
1. Liceo –Ginnasio ”F. Cicognini ”, classic study with latin,
greek, philosofy, matematic, phisic and so on
2. Liceo Socio-Psico-Pedagogico “G..Rodari”, with latin,
psicology, pedagogy, mathematics and so on
3. -Having an idea about organization of education for special needs children in other
countries:
In Italian school there are different pathways related to
capacity, difficulties and needs of individual pupils.
Essentially these courses can be reduced to two:
• the strong path, which allows the attainment of the
Diploma, is a way to achieve the objectives set for the rest
of the class. Generally it is followed in the case of
physically and / or sensory disabled people. This is assessed
by the vows, no additional markings; it follows the general
criteria adopted for the class. The transition to the next
class is linked to the achievement of sufficiency.
• the weak path aims to reach appropriate targets to actual
proficiency as a carrier of difficulty, so the Class Council
shall prepare a personalized education plan (P.I.S), which
may differ significantly from the curriculum or provide for
its reduction and simplification. The evaluation is done from
the votes (OM 80/95), but only in relation to the objectives
of personal education plan. On the evaluation forms (school
reports) it will be given the phrase "this vote is related to
PIS and not to ministerial programs and it is adopted
pursuant to Art. 13 Ministerial Order n. 80 of 9 March 1995."
Thereby the Class Council declares that "the student is
admitted to the frequency of the next class”. A certificate
of attendance is issued at the end of the course.
With strong path pupils are always in class, otherwise with
weak path they are sometimes in class and sometimes in the
laboratory ( music, cinema, computer, dance, sport…)
The teachers for special needs must take a degree and after a
master for special needs.
Working process:
- the age of the pupils: 14-18 years old
- the handicap of the pupils: every different handicap: autism, Down
sindromed, x fragiel
- the staff at your school: about 120 teachers, 17 for special needs
- the organisation and the groups of pupils in your school : the organisation
is in class, for age and curriculum. The pupils with
special needs are in class and in groups for laboratory.
- the subjects that they teach at your school : In my school there are
teachers of many matters;also techers for pupils with
special needs have different masters. In Italy there is a
suddivision in “AREA” depending on university degree.
AREA 1: teachers with degree in Science, Maths
AREA 2: teachers with degree in Italian, Latin, English,
philosophy and so on
AREA 3: teachers with degree in art, law…
AREA 4: teachers with degree in physical education
- extra activities and projects at your school : laboratory of art,
theater, physical education, dance, ITC….
- the future of the pupils after they finish school : after the school,
according with family and Psycologist, they attend
cooperative or another place where they can work in
protected situation.

  • 1. Step 2: This is my school Introducing the school to the partners Our institute is made by two schools with different course: 1. Liceo –Ginnasio ”F. Cicognini ”, classic study with latin, greek, philosofy, matematic, phisic and so on 2. Liceo Socio-Psico-Pedagogico “G..Rodari”, with latin, psicology, pedagogy, mathematics and so on 3. -Having an idea about organization of education for special needs children in other countries: In Italian school there are different pathways related to capacity, difficulties and needs of individual pupils. Essentially these courses can be reduced to two: • the strong path, which allows the attainment of the Diploma, is a way to achieve the objectives set for the rest of the class. Generally it is followed in the case of physically and / or sensory disabled people. This is assessed by the vows, no additional markings; it follows the general criteria adopted for the class. The transition to the next class is linked to the achievement of sufficiency. • the weak path aims to reach appropriate targets to actual proficiency as a carrier of difficulty, so the Class Council shall prepare a personalized education plan (P.I.S), which may differ significantly from the curriculum or provide for its reduction and simplification. The evaluation is done from the votes (OM 80/95), but only in relation to the objectives of personal education plan. On the evaluation forms (school reports) it will be given the phrase "this vote is related to PIS and not to ministerial programs and it is adopted pursuant to Art. 13 Ministerial Order n. 80 of 9 March 1995." Thereby the Class Council declares that "the student is admitted to the frequency of the next class”. A certificate of attendance is issued at the end of the course. With strong path pupils are always in class, otherwise with weak path they are sometimes in class and sometimes in the laboratory ( music, cinema, computer, dance, sport…) The teachers for special needs must take a degree and after a master for special needs.

Working process: - the age of the pupils: 14-18 years old - the handicap of the pupils: every different handicap: autism, Down sindromed, x fragiel - the staff at your school: about 120 teachers, 17 for special needs - the organisation and the groups of pupils in your school : the organisation is in class, for age and curriculum. The pupils with special needs are in class and in groups for laboratory. - the subjects that they teach at your school : In my school there are teachers of many matters;also techers for pupils with special needs have different masters. In Italy there is a suddivision in “AREA” depending on university degree. AREA 1: teachers with degree in Science, Maths AREA 2: teachers with degree in Italian, Latin, English, philosophy and so on AREA 3: teachers with degree in art, law… AREA 4: teachers with degree in physical education - extra activities and projects at your school : laboratory of art, theater, physical education, dance, ITC…. - the future of the pupils after they finish school : after the school, according with family and Psycologist, they attend cooperative or another place where they can work in protected situation. the website of the school is http://www.cicogninirodari.prato.it/rodari/
