What is corporal Punishment
• Corporal punishment is a form of physical punishment that
involves the deliberate infliction of pain as retribution for an
offence, or for the purpose of disciplining or reforming a
wrongdoer, or to deter attitudes or behavior deemed
unacceptable. The term usually refers to methodically striking
the offender with an implement, whether in judicial,
domestic, or educational settings.

• (3) Punishing someone as a warning to others
Disadvantage of corporal
punishment
• (1) Giving harm to students’ physical and mental health
• (2) Having negative effects upon the relations between
teacher and students
• (3) Improper demonstration
• (4) Leading students to the negative development for their
personality
• (5) unwilling to investigate into the real causes of students’
improper behaviors
• (6) Stimulating students’ extreme behaviors
• (7) Giving rise to resistance
• (8) Having negative influence on students’ learning

Avoid corporal punishment
• In this situation, we need to avoid corporal punishment as much as
we can.
• Children who grow in an environment with love will learn to show
gratitude in the future;
• children grow in an environment with tolerance will learn to show
tolerance in the future;
• children who grow in an environment with practice of democratic
disciplines will learn liberalism in the future;
• children who grow in an environment with forgiveness will learn to
show compassion in the future.
