The major stages of education in Albania are primary education lasting 9 years, secondary education which takes 3 additional years, and tertiary education offered at universities. Primary education is compulsory while most students continue to secondary. The academic year is divided into semesters from September/October to June/July. Vocational education provides an alternative to academic secondary programs, training students for the workforce. Universities are found in major cities like Tirana, with the largest being the public University of Tirana which was established in 1957.

2. Firstly, our dream school will be build in a natural place, near the sea.
The school will contain three big floors.

teachers don’t have to use the stairs.

On the first floor there will be a big gym, a big pool, a laboratory and a big canteen
where students will have lunch. In the corridor also there will be 2 automat machines,one
for drinks like coffee,tea,coca cola etc. and one for snacks like chocolates,chips etc.

5. • The second will be called :’’ The foreign language floor’’.
On the second floor there will be English classes, French classes, Italian classes , and Albanian classes .
Every class will contain boards and desks , and on teacher’s desk there will be a computer and a big TV. Also
every class will contain some computers so every student can use them to find information .

6. • And the third floor will be called :’’ The scientific subjects’’.
On the third floor there will be also Maths classes, Biology classes, History classes, chemistry classes etc.

with all the needed accessories , like-
computers ,TV , Internet etc. Also e very lesson
will take 35 minutes and breaks will be 10
minutes.

18 by the Education and Skills Act 2008. The change takes effect in 2013 for 16-year-
olds and 2015 for 17-year-olds.[9] State-provided schooling and sixth form education is
paid for by taxes. England also has a tradition of independent schooling, but parents
may choose to educate their children by any suitable means.
Higher education often begins with a three-year bachelor's degree. Postgraduate
degrees include master's degrees, either taught or by research, and the doctorate, a
research degree that usually takes at least three years. Universities require a Royal
Charter in order to issue degrees, and all but one are financed by the state via tuition
fees, which cost up to £9,000 per academic year for English, Welsh and EU students.

45. The literacy rate in Albania for the total population, age 9 or older, is about 99%.
Elementary education is compulsory (grades 1-9), but most students continue at least until a
secondary education. Students must pass graduation exams at the end of the 9th grade
and at the end of the 12th grade in order to continue their education.
Most schools are public and financed through the government, but recently several private
schools of various levels have been opened. There are about 5000 schools throughout the
country. The academic year is divided into two semesters. The school week begins on
Monday and ends on Friday. Depending on the academic level, the school year usually
begins in mid-September or October and finishes in early June or July.

effort by the state in this direction is adding muscle to a
growing economy. lbania has put reforming of vocational
education and training (VET) as a priority of its strategies for
socio-economic development, as reflected in the National
Strategy for Development and Integration (NSDI), contributing
to increased employability of youth and towards a competitive
economy.
At present the Albanian VET system is undergoing an
important reform aiming at the improvement of quality and
labour market relevance of existing courses with flexibilisation
and diversification of the overall course portfolio. Cooperation
with the private sector is exploring new paths. Stakeholders
cooperation at all levels, from policy formulation, steering to
training delivery remains a key to respond to the challenges of
making VET system of quality and adaptable to EU standards.

dispersed in the major cities. The University of Tirana was the first when founded in 1957, and today has a
student population approaching 15,000 and a teaching staff of nearly 900.

53. University of Tirana (UT)) is a public university located in Tirana,
Albania.
UT was founded in 1957 as the State University of Tirana through the
merging of five existing institutes of higher education, the most important
of which was the Institute of Sciences, founded in 1947. Between April
13, 1985 and 1992 (during the communist regime), UT was called
the Enver Hoxha University of Tirana after the Albanian dictator Enver
Hoxha, who died on April 11, 1985.
Academics and
UT is the largest and highest ranking university in Albania.[3] It includes
eight colleges, 50 academic departments, and 41 study programs or
majors. Most programs are offered inTirana; a few smaller
affiliated campuses are located in other Albanian cities, including
Saranda in the South and Kukës in the North.
UT offers three-year Bachelor, one or two year Master, and three to five
year Doctorate degree programs, in accordance with the Bologna system.
More than 14,000 students attend UT. UT employs more that 600 faculty
members.
The current campus is urban and decentralized. A new large and
centralized campus has been planned in the southeast periphery of

55. The University "Luigj Gurakuqi" of Shkodër in
Albania was established in 1957.
It has 6 faculties, 15 branches, 14 departments
and more than 140 professors.
It has been the major institution of higher
education in the region, especially in the technical
and scientific disciplines.
In 1992, the university received permission from
the government to initiate the development of
the Faculty of Economics, with responsibilities for
emphasizing market economics, management,
and business administration. Menduh Derguti,
rector of the University of Shkodra in 1992, asked
the University of Nebraska–Lincoln to help
develop its curriculum in market economics and
business management. Derguti attended training
seminars provided by the UNL team in September
1992. As a result, the rector, Dr. Gjovalin Kolombi,
established the Faculty of Economics.
