3. Introduction
1. Coriander
Coriander is a plant in the Apiaceae family. Its
fruit are typically called “coriander” while its
leaves are called cilantro. Coriander is a source
of vitamin C, calcium, magnesium, potassium,
and iron. Coriander essential oil might have
antibacterial effects.

Shape: broadly lobed at the base of the plant, and slender and feathery
higher on the flowering stems.
Colour : Coriander is a light pastel shade of Green. It belongs to the
color family Pastel Spring Green, and it has high lightness and low
saturation. Coriander is a warm color.
Taste:Most people perceive coriander as having a tart, lemon/lime taste,
but some individuals perceive the leaves to have a soapy, pungent, or
rotten taste.
Lenth:It is a soft plant growing to 50 cm (20 in) In tall
Coriander flowers are small in size, with each flower measuring only a
few millimeters. The flowers grow in delicate, lacy clusters arranged in
an umbel shape and can bloom in varying white, lavender, and deep
purple hues.

Coriander, originated in Italy but is today
cultivated widely in The Netherlands, Central
and Eastern Europe (Russia, Hungary, and
Holland), the Mediterranean (Morocco, Malta,
and Egypt), North Africa, China, India,

Coriander herb can be grown indoors under a
wide range of climatic conditions. However,
hot weather during the summer months
causes coriander to bolt quickly and reduces
foliage development. A coriander crop will
mature in 40 to 45 days.
9. Side Effects
Effect on liver function:
Overdose may couse damage to by extra ordinary essential oil components and may
emphasize excessive bile secretion
Skin sensitivity problem :
Acid Present in it and cause irritation and itching of skin and make it sensitive to
sunlight.
Breathing problems and chest pain:
Prolonged use cause tightness of throat and dry throat and also cause chest pain
