1. Conventions of a magazine
advert.

2. I am conducting some research into the conventions of a magazine
advert for existing artists to gain a better understanding of the
typical conventions used. This will make it easier for me to create
my magazine advert for my ancillary text in my final project. By
documenting my findings it will also make it easier for me to
analyse, what I believe are their, strengths and weaknesses of
existing products for well known artists.

3. A conventional magazine advert will
contain:
 Image of artist
 Large font of artists name and album title
 List of featured singles
 A website for the album or artist
 Itunes/Facebook page/Twitter/Spotify username featured at the bottom
 Depending on the genre/target audience the colours used on the page change

4. How will this help me?
 The conventions that I have noted will make it much easier for me to
create a conventional product or make it easier for me to break the
conventions and make a non-typical product.
