Convenience store in Vietnam 
• 34,6% come to convenience store one time per 2-3 days. Especially, 
this ratio of male seem to be higher than female. 
• Family Mart with 51 stores in Ho Chi Minh city is still the most 
popular choice for people here. 
• 40.6% come to convenience store by evening. it is not different so 
much by age or by gender. 
• 59.4% always buy drinks when coming to convenience store while 
66,9% never buy cigarette and 49,2% never buy comestic. 
• 38,5% female always buy cooked foods when coming to 
convenience store while this ratio seems to be lower with male 
(23,4%) 
• They mostly eat-in of convenience store. The ratio of age group 10- 
20 who eat-in convenience store is higher than age group 20-30. 
• The reason why male choose convenience store seems to be quite 
different with female. Pricing is important to male (28,8%) while 
location (41%) is much more important to female.
