The Up2U Consortium is developing a next generation digital learning environment (NGDLE) using containerized microservices architecture to better integrate formal and informal learning between secondary schools and universities. The project is funded by the European Commission and involves 18 partners across 12 countries. The goal is to create a modular, interoperable platform that provides personalized education resources and tools accessible anywhere through different learning management systems and infrastructure providers. Schools will be able to experiment with the open-source Up2U NGDLE deployed in partner clouds or integrate components into their own systems.
