This document discusses the construction and evaluation of a blended learning platform called InfoCenter at Heinrich-Heine-University Düsseldorf in Germany. The platform combines traditional classroom learning with e-learning resources like lecture slides, interactive video lectures, and video glossaries based on behaviorism, cognitivism, and constructivism learning theories. It also includes Web 2.0 tools like wikis, blogs, social bookmarking, and social networking. An evaluation found that interactive video lectures and tests were most accepted while wikis and social networking were less so, possibly due to uncertainty about how to integrate social media into learning. Further work includes incorporating more content, better combining media, and motivating social media use for learning
