This document discusses different types of connective tissue cells. There are two main types of connective tissue cells: fixed and free cells. Free cells include plasma cells, mast cells, leukocytes, and pigment cells. Plasma cells are large spherical cells that produce immunoglobulins and antibodies. Mast cells are ovoid cells found in connective tissue that contain basophilic granules and play roles in allergic reactions and inflammation. Pigment cells contain pigments and are found in various tissues. Leukocytes, or white blood cells, include granulocytes like neutrophils, basophils and eosinophils, as well as agranulocytes like lymphocytes and monocytes.
