1. The document proposes localized, self-organizing, and energy-efficient data aggregation tree approaches called Localized Power-Efficient Data Aggregation Protocols (L-PEDAPs) for sensor networks.
2. L-PEDAPs are based on topologies like LMST and RNG that can approximate a minimum spanning tree using only local neighbor information. The routing tree is constructed over these topologies.
3. Route maintenance procedures are included to handle node failures or additions while prioritizing remaining power levels to maximize network lifetime. Simulation results show L-PEDAPs perform nearly as well as centralized solutions for network lifetime.
SECTOR TREE-BASED CLUSTERING FOR ENERGY EFFICIENT ROUTING PROTOCOL IN HETEROG...IJCNCJournal
One of the main challenges for researchers to build routing protocols is how to use energy efficiently to extend the lifespan of the whole wireless sensor networks (WSN) because sensor nodes have limited battery power resources. In this work, we propose a Sector Tree-Based clustering routing protocol (STB-EE) for Energy Efficiency to cope with this problem, where the entire network area is partitioned into dynamic sectors (clusters), which balance the number of alive nodes. The nodes in each sector only communicate with their nearest neighbour by constructing a minimum tree based on the Kruskal algorithm and using mixed distance from candidate node to base station (BS) and remaining energy of candidate nodes to determine which node will become the cluster head (CH) in each cluster? By calculating the duration of time in each round for suitability, STB-EE increases the number of data packets sent to the BS. Our simulation results show that the network lifespan using STB-EE can be improved by about 16% and 10% in comparison to power-efficient gathering in sensor information system (PEGASIS) and energy-efficient PEGASIS-based protocol (IEEPB), respectively.

Typically, each node’s activities will consume energy, either for sending packets, receiving or preparing/processing packets. Number of hops, distance of nodes, and size of packet will determine the consumption of energy. The framework is based on the principle that additional relay nodes with appropriate energy and routing metric between source and final destination significantly reduces the energy consumption necessary to deliver packets in Wireless (Ad-Hoc) Mesh Network while keep the connectivity of dynamic nodes. Using the framework, the average network connectivity is kept 18% higher and the lifetime of network lasting more than 2.38% compared with network with Link State Routing mechanism. Wireless mobile ad-hoc network (MANET) is a special kind of network, where all of the nodes move in time. Node is intended to help relaying packets of neighboring nodes using multi-hop routing mechanism in order to solve problem of dead communication. MANET which engages broadcasting and contains multiple hops becomes increasingly vulnerable to problems such as mobile node’s energy degradation, routing problem and rapid increasing of overhead packets. This paper provides an extensive study of energy consumption in the MANET that consists of several network areas with the presence agents. Agents will minimize number of hops and its affect in linearity with the delay. As nodes grow, either in data transmission services or coverage of node’s communication or more agents stand in overlapped locations, accordingly data exchange and topology development to adapt the network are becoming an important issue. As a result, agents are needed to support process automation, high-level connectivity and intelligent service on that such environment. We evaluate the agents’ performance and network energy consumption for supporting MANET. The proposed agents provides service packets transmission between networks; e.g. determine appropriate relay nodes dynamically, maintain the transmission between networks through another nodes, share the topology knowledge among agents, and route packets between source and final destination that are unable to communicate directly. The achievement on research with this approach is conducted via simulation study. A similar network without agents is presented to derive such referential bounds by using appropriate functions of network agents. The proposed algorithm is confirmed with composite simulation results.
Routing in Wireless Sensor Networks: Improved Energy Efficiency and Coverage ...CSCJournals
This paper proposes a new method for collecting distributed data in Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) that can improve the energy efficiency and network coverage; especially in remote areas. In multi-hop communication, sink nodes are responsible for collecting and forwarding data to base stations. The nodes that are located near a sink node usually deplete their battery faster than other nodes because they are responsible for aggregating the data from other sensor nodes. Several studies have proved the advantages of using mobile sink nodes to reduce energy consumption. Nonetheless, the need for compatible and efficient routing algorithms cannot be understated. Accordingly, a hybrid routing algorithm based on the Dijkstras and Rendezvous algorithms is proposed. To improve the energy efficiency and coverage, Energy Efficient Hybrid Unmanned Vehicle Based Routing Algorithm (E2HUV) is proposed to create a routing path for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) that can be used as mobile sinks in WSNs. Performance results show that the E2HUV algorithm offers better efficiency as compared to currently existing algorithms.

ENERGY-EFFICIENT MULTI-HOP ROUTING WITH UNEQUAL CLUSTERING APPROACH FOR WIREL...IJCNCJournal
The development of an energy-efficient routing protocol, capable of extending the life of the network, is one of the main constraints of wireless sensor networks (WSN). Research studies on WSN routing prove that clustering offers an effective approach to prolong the lifetime of a WSN, particularly when it is combined with multi-hop communication that can reduces energy costs by minimizing the distance between transmitter and receiver. Most clustering algorithms using multi-hop in data transmission encounter the hotspot problem. In this work, an Energy-efficient Multi-hop routing with Unequal Clustering approach (EMUC) is proposed, to create clusters of different sizes, which depend on the distance between the sensor node and the base station. Equilibrate the energy dissipation between the cluster heads is the purpose of this approach by adopting multi-hop communication to relay data to the base station. The implementation of multi-hop mode to transmit data to the base station reduces the energy cost of transmission over long distances. The effectiveness of this approach is validated through performed simulations, which prove that EMUC balances energy consumption between sensor nodes, mitigates the hotspots problem, saves more energy and significantly extends the network lifetime.
Coverage and Connectivity Aware Neural Network Based Energy Efficient Routing...graphhoc
There are many challenges when designing and deploying wireless sensor networks (WSNs). One of the key challenges is how to make full use of the limited energy to prolong the lifetime of the network, because energy is a valuable resource in WSNs. The status of energy consumption should be continuously monitored after network deployment. In this paper, we propose coverage and connectivity aware neural network based energy efficient routing in WSN with the objective of maximizing the network lifetime. In the proposed scheme, the problem is formulated as linear programming (LP) with coverage and connectivity aware constraints. Cluster head selection is proposed using adaptive learning in neural networks followed by coverage and connectivity aware routing with data transmission. The proposed scheme is compared with existing schemes with respect to the parameters such as number of alive nodes, packet delivery fraction, and node residual energy. The simulation results show that the proposed scheme can be used in wide area of applications in WSNs.
Comparative Analysis of Green Algorithm within Active Queue Management for Mo...ijtsrd
The Queue Management Techniques play an important role in improving the Quality of Service in Mobile Ad hoc Networks. The need of congestion control and Queue management is inevitable in Mobile Ad hoc Network. Understanding and analyzing the latest AQM Techniques give an insight to improving throughput, packet loss rate, average end to end delay and other parameters that severely affect the performance. The performance of mobile ad hoc networks is evaluated by varying the Channel Error Rate, Bandwidth and Delay at different fragment sizes of different traffic flows. The proposed method performs the network analysis of new Routing protocols. The work proposes to evaluate various Active Queue Management Techniques in a multi traffic environment i.e., sources generating both TCP and UDP traffic classes. The UDP is propagated via CBR and TCP is propagated via FTP. The implementation of the proposed queue management technique has been done in NS 2. In the proposed work we have make NS 2 compatible with GREEN by integrating source code into the ns 2 installation files and using various AQMs in comparison with GREEN to calculate the throughput at various Bandwidths across network. Using various AQMs in comparison with GREEN we have calculated the throughput at various Delays across the network and we have also calculated the throughput at various channels Error Rate across the network. The proposed method has been compared with other primitive AQM techniques so that a repository of best available results can be obtained for design and research purposes. The proposed method has outperformed the existing queue management techniques in number of scenarios. Energy Consumption Reduction in Wireless Sensor Network Based on ClusteringIJCNCJournal
ABSTRACT
One of the important issues in the routing protocol design in Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) is minimizing energy consumption and maximizing network lift time. Nowadays networks and information systems are one of the main parts of modern life that without them, people cannot live. On the hand, the impairment of these networks leads to great and incalculable costs. In this paper, a new method based on clustering has presented that problem of energy consumption is solved. The proposed algorithm is that energy-based clustering can create clusters of the same energy level and distribute energy efficiency across the WNS nodes. This proposed clustering protocol classify network nodes based on energy and neighbourhood criteria and attempts to better balance energy in clusters and ultimately increase network lifetime and maintain network coverage. Results are shown that the proposed algorithm is on average 40% better than LEACH algorithm and 14% better than IBLEACH algorithm.

Implementation of optimal solution for network lifetime and energy consumptio...TELKOMNIKA JOURNAL
In current scenarios MANET mainly focus on low power battery operated devices. Moreover in a MANET transmission of large data consumes more energy that affects the performance of network, energy consumption, throughput, end to end delay, and packet overhead. The sum of these parameter metrics measure must be taken into account to increase the life-time and network energy efficiency. The main constraint in WSN is due to the restricted power in a node, which cannot be substituted. The node senses the data and it is moved towards the sink. This action of data movement needs to be efficient and the usage of battery in the sensor node requires to be efficiently employed to improve the network lifetime. The development of the energy efficient algorithms is of primary concern in the research arena of MANET. In any network, most of the routing protocols are focused directly to collect and bifurcate the large data for long distance communication. The prime goal of this research focused to identifies and survey more suitable routing protocol for MANET. That consumed less energy and increase life time of network. In this paper the author made on attempt on improved energy efficient LEACH protocol for MANET to reduce the energy dissipation that to life time of the network during the data transmission between source nodes and destination nodes.

Review on Clustering and Data Aggregation in Wireless Sensor NetworkEditor IJCATR
Wireless Sensor Network is a collection of various sensor nodes with sensing and communication capabilities. Clustering is the
process of grouping the set of objects so that the objects in the same group are similar to each other and different to objects in the other
group. The main goal of Data Aggregation is to collect and aggregate the data by maintaining the energy efficiency so that the network
lifetime can be increased. In this paper, I have presented a comprehensive review of various clustering routing protocols for WSN, their
advantages and limitation of clustering in WSN. A brief survey of Data Aggregation Algorithm is also outlined in this paper. Finally, I

DYNAMIC CONGESTION CONTROL IN WDM OPTICAL NETWORKcscpconf
This paper is based on Wavelength Division Multiplexing (WDM) optical networking. In this optical networking, prior to data transfer, lightpath establishment between source and
destination nodes is usually carried out through a wavelength reservation protocol. This wavelength is reserved corresponding to a route between the source and destination and the
route is chosen following any standard routing protocol based on shortest path. The backward reservation protocol is implemented initially. A fixed connected and weighted network is
considered. The inputs of this implementation are the fixed network itself and its corresponding shortest path matrix. After this initial level of implementation, the average node usage over a time period is calculated and various thresholds for node usage are considered. Above threshold value, request arriving at that path selects its next shortest path. This concept is
implemented on various wavelengths. The output represents the performance issues of dynamic congestion control.
ENERGY SAVINGS IN APPLICATIONS FOR WIRELESS SENSOR NETWORKS TIME CRITICAL REQ...IJCNCJournal
Along with handling and poor storage capacity, each sensor in wireless sensor network (WSN) is equipped
with a limited power source and very difficult to be replaced in most application environments. Improving
the energy savings in applications for wireless sensor networks is necessary. In this paper, we mainly focus
on energy consumption savings in applications for wireless sensor networks time critical requirements. Our
Paper accompanying analysis of advanced technologies for energy saving techniques for the optimization
of energy efficiency together with the data transmission is optimal. Moreover, we propose improvements to
increase energy savings in applications for wireless sensor networks require time critical (LEACH
improvements). Simulation results show that our proposed protocol significantly better than LEACH about
the formation of clusters in each round, the average power, the number of nodes alive and average total
received data in base stations.
ENERGY EFFICIENT AGGREGATION WITH DIVERGENT SINK PLACEMENT FOR WIRELESS SENSO...ijasuc
In WSN the data aggregation is a means for condensing the energy requirement by reducing number of
transmission by combining the data and sending the final required result to the base station. The lifetime
of the WSN can be improved by employing the aggregation techniques. During the process of aggregation
the numbers of transmission are reduced by combining the similar data from the nearby areas. By using
the clustering technique and aggregating the correlated data greatly minimize the energy consumed in
collecting and disseminating the data. In this work, we evaluate the performance of a novel energy
efficient cluster based aggregation protocol (EECAP) for WSN. The main focus in this proposed work is
to study the performance of our proposed aggregation protocol with divergent sink placements such as
when sink is at the centre of the sensing field, corner of the sensing field or at a location selected
randomly in the sensor field. We present experimental results by calculating the lifetime of network in
terms of number of sensing rounds using various parameters such as – average remaining energy of
nodes, number of dead nodes after the specified number of sensing rounds. Finally the performance of
various aggregation algorithms such as LEACH, SEP and our proposed aggregation protocol (EECAP)
are compared with divergent sink placements. The simulation results demonstrates that EECAP exhibits
good performance in terms of lifetime and the energy consumption of the wireless sensor networks and
which can be as equally compared with existing clustering protocols.
Nearest Adjacent Node Discovery Scheme for Routing Protocol in Wireless Senso...IOSR Journals
The broad significance of Wireless Sensor Networks is in most emergency and disaster rescue
domain. The routing process is the main challenges in the wireless sensor network due to lack of physical links.
The objective of routing is to find optimum path which is used to transferring packets from source node to
destination node. Routing should generate feasible routes between nodes and send traffic along the selected path
and also achieve high performance. This paper presents a nearest adjacent node scheme based on shortest path
routing algorithm. It is plays an important role in energy conservation. It finds the best location of nearest
adjacent nodes by involving the least number of nodes in transmission of data and set large number of nodes to
sleep in idle mode. Based on simulation result we shows the significant improvement in energy saving and

M-EPAR to Improve the Quality of the MANETsIJERA Editor
In MANET, power aware is important challenge issue to improve the communication energy efficiency at individual nodes. Energy Consumption in Ad Hoc Network With Agents Minimizing the Number of Hop...CSCJournals

Based on simulation result we shows the significant improvement in energy saving and
enhance the life of the network

K dag based lifetime aware data collection in wireless sensor networksijwmn
Wireless Sensor Networks need to be organized for efficient data collection and lifetime maximization. In
this paper, we propose a novel routing structure, namely k-DAG, to balance the load of the base station's
neighbours while providing the worst-case latency guarantee for data collection, and a distributed
algorithm for construction a k-DAG based on a SPD (Shortest Path DAG). In a k-DAG, the lengths of the
longest path and the shortest path of each sensor node to the base station differ by at most k. By adding
sibling edges to a SPD, our distributed algorithm allows critical nodes to have more routing choices. The
simulation results show that our approach significantly outperforms the SPD-based data collection
approach in both network lifetime and load balance.
A scalable and power efficient solution for routing in mobile ad hoc network ...ijmnct
Mobile Ad Hoc Network (MANET) is a very dynamic and infrastructure-less ad hoc network. The actual
network size depends on the application and the protocols developed for the routing for this kind of
networks should be scalable. MANET is a resource limited network and therefore the developed routing
algorithm for packet transmission should be power and bandwidth efficient. These kinds of dynamic
networks should operate with minimal management overhead. The management functionality of the
network increases with number of nodes and reduces the performance of the network. Here, in this paper,
we have designed all identical nodes in the cluster except the cluster head and this criterion reduces the
management burden on the network. Graph theoretic routing algorithm is used to develop route for packet
transmission by using the minimum resources. In this paper, we developed routing algorithm for cluster
based MANET and finds a path from source to destination using minimum cumulative degree path. Our
simulation results show that this routing algorithm provide efficient routing path with the increasing
number of nodes and uses multi-hop connectivity for intra-cluster to utilize minimum power for packet
transmission irrespective of number of nodes in the network.

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.

The Roman Empire A Historical Colossus.pdfkaushalkr1407
The Roman Empire, a vast and enduring power, stands as one of history's most remarkable civilizations, leaving an indelible imprint on the world. It emerged from the Roman Republic, transitioning into an imperial powerhouse under the leadership of Augustus Caesar in 27 BCE. This transformation marked the beginning of an era defined by unprecedented territorial expansion, architectural marvels, and profound cultural influence.
The empire's roots lie in the city of Rome, founded, according to legend, by Romulus in 753 BCE. Over centuries, Rome evolved from a small settlement to a formidable republic, characterized by a complex political system with elected officials and checks on power. However, internal strife, class conflicts, and military ambitions paved the way for the end of the Republic. Julius Caesar’s dictatorship and subsequent assassination in 44 BCE created a power vacuum, leading to a civil war. Octavian, later Augustus, emerged victorious, heralding the Roman Empire’s birth.
Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. Augustus reformed the military, established efficient administrative systems, and initiated grand construction projects. The empire's borders expanded, encompassing territories from Britain to Egypt and from Spain to the Euphrates. Roman legions, renowned for their discipline and engineering prowess, secured and maintained these vast territories, building roads, fortifications, and cities that facilitated control and integration.
The Roman Empire’s society was hierarchical, with a rigid class system. At the top were the patricians, wealthy elites who held significant political power. Below them were the plebeians, free citizens with limited political influence, and the vast numbers of slaves who formed the backbone of the economy. The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.
Roman architecture and engineering achievements were monumental. They perfected the arch, vault, and dome, constructing enduring structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, and aqueducts. These engineering marvels not only showcased Roman ingenuity but also served practical purposes, from public entertainment to water supply.

Computing Localized Power-Efficient Data Aggregation Trees
For Sensor Networks
Abstract:
We propose localized, self organizing, robust, and energy-efficient data
aggregation tree approaches for sensor networks, which we call Localized Power-
Efficient Data Aggregation Protocols (L-PEDAPs). They are based on topologies,
such as LMST and RNG, that can approximate minimum spanning tree and can be
efficiently computed using only position or distance information of one-hop
neighbors. The actual routing tree is constructed over these topologies. We also
consider different parent selection strategies while constructing a routing tree. We
compare each topology and parent selection strategy and conclude that the best
among them is the shortest path strategy over LMST structure. Our solution also
involves route maintenance procedures that will be executed when a sensor node
fails or a new node is added to the network. The proposed solution is also adapted
to consider the remaining power levels of nodes in order to increase the network
lifetime. Our simulation results show that by using our power-aware localized
approach, we can almost have the same performance of a centralized solution in
terms of network lifetime, and close to 90 percent of an upper bound derived here.

SYSTEM ANALYSES :
Problem Definition:
The problem is to find an energy-efficient routing plan which maximizes the
network lifetime. The routing plan determines for each node the incoming and
outgoing neighbors for data forwarding and aggregation. In other words, a tree
spanning all the nodes must be found as the routing plan. The routing scheme
should also include mechanisms to handle node failures and support new node
arrivals.
Existing System:
The minimum spanning tree (MST)-based routing provides good
performance in terms of lifetime when the data are gathered using aggregation in
centralized manner alone.
Proposed System:
1. Localized Power-Efficient Data Aggregation Protocols (L-PEDAPs)
2. The routing tree is constructed over LMST and RNG topologies.
3. Route maintenance.
4. Data aggregation protocol (LEACH protocol-Self-configuring Clusters)
5. To minimize Setup cost and maintenance cost

Literature Review:
1. A QoS Routing for Maximum Bandwidth in Ad Hoc Networks:
Ad hoc networks have characteristics such as flexibility, fast and easy
deployment, robustness which make them an interesting technology for various
applications. Ad hoc networks are considered as the most promising terminal
networks in future mobile communications. Providing sufficient bandwidth for
multimedia applications in ad hoc networks is an urgent task because of the rising
popularity of multimedia applications and potential commercial usage of ad hoc
networks. Bandwidth is more difficult to guarantee in ad hoc networks than in
other types of networks, and providing end-to-end bandwidth guarantee is a critical
and challenging problem in ad hoc networks because of multihop, mutual radio
interference and node mobility. A bandwidth-aware routing protocol of BARP,
which is based on the existing Dynamic Source Routing protocol (DSR), is
proposed in this paper in order to find a route of approximately maximum
bandwidth for a flow from a source node to a destination node in a wireless ad hoc
network. BARP is a novel bandwidth-aware routing protocol by which a route of
largest bandwidth can be found. This routing protocol takes advantage of larger
bandwidth than the existing work, and its effectiveness is demonstrated by some

simulations. It will be a great contribution to end-to-end QoS support research in
wireless ad hoc networks.
2. Power Efficient Data Gathering and Aggregation in Wireless Sensor Networks:
Energy efficiency is an important design criterion for the development of
sensor networking protocols involving data dissemination and gathering. In-
network processing of sensor data, aggregation, transmission power control in
radios, and periodic cycling of node wake-up schedules are some techniques that
have been proposed in the sensor networking literature for achieving energy
efficiency. Owing to the broadcast nature of the wireless channel many nodes in
the vicinity of a sender node may overhear its packet transmissions even if they are
not the intended recipients of these transmissions. Reception of these transmissions
can result in unnecessary expenditure of battery energy of the recipients. We
investigate the impact of overhearing transmissions on total energy costs during
data gathering and dissemination and attempt to minimize them systematically. We
model the minimum energy data gathering problem as a directed minimum energy
spanning tree problem where the energy cost of each edge in the wireless
connectivity graph is augmented by the overhearing cost of the corresponding
transmission. We observe that in dense sensor networks, overhearing costs

constitute a significant fraction of the total energy cost and that computing the
minimum spanning tree on the augmented cost metric results in energy savings,
especially in networks with non-uniform spatial node distribution. We also study
the impact of this new metric on the well known energy-efficient dissemination
(also called broadcasting) algorithms for multihop wireless networks. We show via
simulation that through this augmented cost metric, gains in energy efficiency of
10% or more are possible without additional hardware and minimal additional
complexity.
3. Establishment of survivable connections in WDM networks using partial path
protection:
As a generalization of the traditional path protection scheme in WDM
networks where a backup path is needed for each active path, the partial path
protection scheme uses a collection of backup paths to protect an active path,
where each backup path in the collection protects one or more links on the active
path such that every link on the active path is protected by one of the backup paths.
While there is no known polynomial time algorithm for computing an active path
and a corresponding backup path using the path protection scheme for a source-
destination node pair, we show that an active path and a corresponding collection

of backup paths using the partial path protection scheme can be computed in
polynomial time, whenever they exist, under each of the following two network
models: (a) dedicated protection in WDM networks without wavelength
converters; and (b) shared protection in WDM networks without wavelength
converters. Under each of the two models, we prove, that for any given source s
and destination d in the network, if one candidate active path connecting s and d is
protectable using partial path protection, then any candidate active path connecting
s and d is also protectable using partial path protection. This fundamental property
leads to efficient shortest active path algorithms that can find an active path and its
corresponding partial path protections whenever they exist. Simulation results
show that shared partial path protection outperforms shared path protection in
terms of blocking probability.
