2. MUSEUM The Museum of San Lorenzo Maggiore set in sixteenth-century rooms, spread around the tower. It offers an extraordinary glimpse into the history of Naples that embraces a wide span 25 centuries, from the Roman period to the greek '700 / '800. Into its scientific and location of the visit reflected the historical layers are present within the complex. The visitor passes from the testimonies of the Greek era to those of the Roman era, the republican and imperial-era to the late ancient and early Christian and Byzantine civilization from the Middle Ages and the Norman and Swabian, Angevin and Aragonese with that. Moving from one level to another of the museum, ideally back in time until the last rooms that house the pastors of the seven-impressive collection of nineteenth-century convent. A distinctive feature is the fact that the works are presented in the context of the same origin, in order to promote the correct and complete understanding of the above, physically rearranging the spaces in which they were located and looking for the same condition of light, views issues and objectives for which they were produced. This need is especially important as the container museum is itself a space steeped in history.
