The document compares the performance of water injection, gas injection, and water alternating gas (WAG) injection scenarios in an oil field in Sudan using reservoir simulation. The simulation found that WAG injection resulted in the highest oil recovery rate of 26.46% and total oil production of 8.83 million stock tank barrels, outperforming water and gas injection alone. Water injection recovered 26.37% of oil but had earlier breakthrough of water. Gas injection recovered 23.78% of oil but resulted in the lowest reservoir pressure. Therefore, the study concluded WAG injection is the best enhanced oil recovery method for this field as it maximizes oil recovery while maintaining reservoir pressure.
Application of Foamy Mineral Oil Flow under Solution Gas Drive toa Field Crud...theijes
Heavy oil Flow in the form of foamy oil under solution gas drive is widely observed in many Canadian reservoirs. Despite the importance of such phenomenon, complexity involved in foamy oil flow in porous media is not well understood. Series of numerical simulations were performed to model experiments that were carried out in a two meter long Sand pack to investigate the conditions required to increase oil production under solution gas drive mechanism. Through these experiments the solution gas drive performance at different depletion rates were analyzed. Creation of foamy heavy oil is thought to be responsible for higher recovery factors compared to what is expected from the conventional solution gas drive theory. However, the complex nature of foamy oil and different transport parameters are yet to be understood. The results of this study can be used to numerically model foamy-oil mechanism in heavy oil reservoirs. Furthermore, the results can be applied for reservoir production optimization as well as management. A new model has been developed using commercial numerical simulator, computer modeling group, (CMG-STARSTM). By using the experimental data, different experimental production histories have been matched. Effect of different parameters such as fluid and reservoir properties and depletion rate on foamy oil recovery have been evaluated. The results reveal that despite many difficulties, foamy oil flow through porous media can be numerically modeled. However these models will strongly depend on a good understanding of many different parameters including rock-fluid interaction, as well as the depletion rates. Given the complex nature of such systems, this numerical model can be used to simulate and predict the oil and gas production from heavy oil reservoirs under foamy oil conditions
UntitledExcessive Water Production Diagnostic and Control - Case Study Jake O...Mohanned Mahjoup
For mature fields, Excessive water production is a complex subject in the oil and gas industries and has a serious economic and environmental impact. Some argue that oil industry is effectively water industry producing oil as a secondary output. Therefore, it is important to realize the different mechanisms that causing water production to better evaluate existing situation and design the optimum solution for the problem. This paper presents the water production and management situation in Jake oilfield in the southeast of Sudan; a cumulative of 14 MMBbl of water was produced till the end of 2014, without actual plan for water management in the field, only conventional shut-off methods have been tested with no success. Based on field production data and the previously applied techniques, this work identified the sources of water problems and attempts to initialize a strategy for controlling the excessive water production in the field. The production data were analyzed and a series of diagnostic plots were presented and compared with Chan’s standard diagnostic plot. As a result, distinction between channeling and conning for each well was identified; the work shows that channeling is the main reason for water production in wells with high permeability sandstone zone while conning appears only in two wells. Finally, the wells were classified according to a risk factor and selections of the candidate wells for water shut off were presented.
Water coning is a serious issue for the oil and gas industry. This poses a big
concern regarding the costs that to be incurred for separation and equipment
capacity. Coning is the production of an unwanted phase with a desired phase. Over
the years, many techniques and control methods has been birthed, however, the issue
of coning can only be mitigated and not completely discharged. Reservoir and
production engineers need to understand the basic framework; the parameters that
greatly influence coning and how effective manipulation of it can deal with it. With the
introduction of horizontal wells, the production rate is two to four times that of
vertical wells, and coning is reduced and the breakthrough time is increased.
Numerous papers has been written regarding to coning and vertical wells, only a few
emphasize on horizontal wells and simultaneous water coning and gas coning. The
objective of this research is to study the post breakthrough performance in
simultaneous coning and a black oil simulator was use for the research. Sensitivity
analysis was carried out on: the production rate of oil (qt), horizontal permeability,
vertical permeability, perforation length, the height above perforation, extent of
reservoir area and the formation porosity. A generalized correlation was developed
for predicting coning behavior using non-linear analysis

Evaluation of a systematic approach to matrix acidizing on an oil producing welleSAT Journals
Abstract All wells are susceptible to formation damage to some degree, ranging from relatively minor loss of productivity to plugging of specific zones. Formation damage could simply be referred to as a term used to emphasize reduced current production. Acidizing is a well stimulate technique where acids are primarily used to remove or cure damage around wellbore caused by drilling, completion, production and work over operations in order to improve production. In matrix acidizing, acid is used to remove the damage near the wellbore. This removal of severe plugging in sandstone, limestone or dolomite by matrix acidizing process can lead to large increase in well productivity. It is expected that matrix acid treatment should remove flow restrictions near the wellbore and allow the well to produce at an undamaged rate. However, the production rate after treatment is sometimes lower than predicted or in extreme cases without any improvement at all. This study evaluates matrix acidizing operations in oil producing wells with a view to identifying causes of acidizing failures and developed a systematic approach to matrix acidizing that will eliminate failures and greatly enhance the performance of acidized oil wells. Discussions have been centered on the fundamentals of formation damage and acidizing, review of existing literature on the subject and matrix models. In treated wells studied, stimulation ratios from productivity indices were almost equal to or greater than 2 (≥ 2) and always greater than stimulations ratios from production rates, showing that the treatments were positive in reducing or curing damage around the wellbore but the stimulation ratios from the two parameters (productivity index and production rate) were not the same as a result of flow restrictions. Since all treated intervals in the different wells studied showed positive response to damage reduction, it could be concluded that acidizing if properly executed will reduce or cure damage around the wellbore and improve productivity. Key Words: formation damage, matrix acidizing, stimulation, and productivity, stimulation ratio, etc…
Field Experience from a Biotechnology Approach to Water Flood ImprovementBill-NewAERO
Abstract
This paper is based on a field implementation in the United States of a biological process for improving waterflood performance. The Activated Environment for Recovery Optimization (“AERO™”) System is being developed by Glori in collaboration with Statoil and derives its roots from a microbial enhanced oil recovery technology developed and successfully implemented by Statoil offshore Norway. Unique among IOR technologies, AERO implementation requires virtually no capital investment and achieves high performance efficiencies at low operational cost. The simplicity of setup allows pilot project implementation creating a very low risk entry point for the operator.
A pilot project was selected for a controlled investigation of the performance and impact. Robust testing was done in both water and oil phases prior to treatment, confirming the potential for improved sweep and conformance from the project. Subsequent implementation resulted in decreased water cut and increased oil recovery observable both at the wellhead and allocated pilot levels.
This paper summarizes a rigorous analysis of the pilot project‟s performance to date, concluding that the production improvement should be credited to the implementation of the AERO™ System.

Courier management system project report.pdfKamal Acharya
It is now-a-days very important for the people to send or receive articles like imported furniture, electronic items, gifts, business goods and the like. People depend vastly on different transport systems which mostly use the manual way of receiving and delivering the articles. There is no way to track the articles till they are received and there is no way to let the customer know what happened in transit, once he booked some articles. In such a situation, we need a system which completely computerizes the cargo activities including time to time tracking of the articles sent. This need is fulfilled by Courier Management System software which is online software for the cargo management people that enables them to receive the goods from a source and send them to a required destination and track their status from time to time.
Immunizing Image Classifiers Against Localized Adversary Attacksgerogepatton
This paper addresses the vulnerability of deep learning models, particularly convolutional neural networks
(CNN)s, to adversarial attacks and presents a proactive training technique designed to counter them. We
introduce a novel volumization algorithm, which transforms 2D images into 3D volumetric representations.
When combined with 3D convolution and deep curriculum learning optimization (CLO), itsignificantly improves
the immunity of models against localized universal attacks by up to 40%. We evaluate our proposed approach
using contemporary CNN architectures and the modified Canadian Institute for Advanced Research (CIFAR-10
and CIFAR-100) and ImageNet Large Scale Visual Recognition Challenge (ILSVRC12) datasets, showcasing
accuracy improvements over previous techniques. The results indicate that the combination of the volumetric
input and curriculum learning holds significant promise for mitigating adversarial attacks without necessitating
adversary training.
Cosmetic shop management system project report.pdfKamal Acharya
Buying new cosmetic products is difficult. It can even be scary for those who have sensitive skin and are prone to skin trouble. The information needed to alleviate this problem is on the back of each product, but it's thought to interpret those ingredient lists unless you have a background in chemistry.
Instead of buying and hoping for the best, we can use data science to help us predict which products may be good fits for us. It includes various function programs to do the above mentioned tasks.
Data file handling has been effectively used in the program.
The automated cosmetic shop management system should deal with the automation of general workflow and administration process of the shop. The main processes of the system focus on customer's request where the system is able to search the most appropriate products and deliver it to the customers. It should help the employees to quickly identify the list of cosmetic product that have reached the minimum quantity and also keep a track of expired date for each cosmetic product. It should help the employees to find the rack number in which the product is placed. It is also Faster and more efficient way.
