Syo Diagnosis Research Paper
Most diagnosis methods now have been pretty much focused on reducing what the client is feeling
and would usually not be able to get to the primary problem. Basically it is like stopping a tap leak by
just putting higher walls to keep the water in and letting the water to flow out from the hole in the
pipes. This thing will eventually become a bigger problem than before. What is Syo diagnosis? What
is the basic principle of Syo diagnosis? Syo diagnosis as the name implies is a method of diagnosis
and unlike modern medicine which classifies the problem with the symptoms. The diagnosis is
achieved through dynamic interaction with the client. The diagnosis is derived from intuitive
integrated observation of the person s whole situation as a person.

The Struggle of the Women of Sudan
The women of Sudan have come a long way in their struggle not only to be heard, but also to have a
positive and lasting effect on the people in Sudan. This organization was born during exile, and
reflects the long struggle and what has been achieved by the women in Sudan. Since its establishment
in 1998, this organization has brought women from the both the Northern and Southern part of Sudan
together in order to work for the same goals. Women in Sudan have started a campaign that will work
to defuse the hostility between communities as well as to have a social identity in where they can
empower themselves and fight for their rights. This peace movement has helped to produce the
development and peace within their communities. Overall, this movement has worked to strengthen
and empower women politically, socially, and economically. The history of how this peace movement
initially began in 1997. But before this movement had started, Sudan was and still continues to be in a
state of violence, chaos, and restlessness. The main reason being that Sudan has historically been
home to many different ethnic groups that speak various languages and different customs. Since the
1500s different groups of people tried to colonize and rule over Sudan. Because of the constant
conquering by different people Sudan never really achieved a state of peace. In 1504 Sudan was

Peter s Persecution
Simon Peter, a fisherman, called by Jesus to leave his life and become a disciple, wrote the book of 1st
Peter. After his transformation from sin into Christianity, He wrote this book to encourage believers in
different countries facing persecution for their beliefs. He wanted to provide hope for the Christians in
a similar situation as himself. Peter wrote this book to the people in the form of a letter, an epistle, to
the followers in Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia. (Northern Asia). He wrote this
book/letter at the outset of Nero s persecution in around 62 A.D. This was just and early formed plan
or way of coping with what was changing and happening to them. This passage follows the context of
encouragement, which is the main topic of the book of first peter. This specific passage deals with
suffering for a good cause and how to stand up for what you believe in which ties into the life story of
Jesus; how he never gave into a greater power, but stood up for what was right in spite of the physical
or emotional harm that might have come to his human body. Instead, he looked towards the greater

From the viewpoint of the recipients, having someone that understood them, someone to commiserate
with was what they needed for a boost of strength. Written in a time when Christian oppression had
just begun, having this letter as a guide of how to conduct their self was crucial for the spread of the
gospel.
The letter begins with how they should act according to the example of Jesus and how to respond to
evil doers. Like minded, sympathetic, loving... Peter lists the traits that they should have. Moreover,
showing gentleness and respect in the face of adversaries for God will bless those who suffer for right.
Peter contrasts how God will reward the righteous versus the actions that the unrighteous will have to

Message of Hope in Rap Essay
Message of Hope in Rap
The three year anniversary of Notorious B.I.G s murder is fast approaching and many people still rave
about his music. What made him so special was the connection he had with his listeners. He found
many ways to incorporate his life stories into his music that relates to every other thug growing up in
the streets from New York City to Los Angeles. The perfect example of this is his double CD, Life
after Death where most of his songs are about death and how people deal with it. Its quite ironic how
he sort of predicted his own death in the album but by doing so, it helped his fans and family deal with
his death better. To understand his songs, you have to understand the life he grew up in. Raised in ...

This chorus gives hope to the other struggling people to have faith and not to give up on life because
anything you want, you can have. It just takes the effort to be proud. This is what Notorious was
special at doing. He could deliver the message better then any other person out there, because he is a
prime example to all the people that they do have a future. Although he does talk about being rich and
leading a good life now that he has the money, he also realized the problems of having money. In his
song, Mo Money Mo Problems he talks about how money brings the downs as well as the ups. In the

Questions On The Novel The Great Gatsby By F. Scott...
1. Identify the protagonist, and define the kinds of conflict that make up the plot.
The protagonist of the story is the narrator, and the story is written in first person. The narrator is a
lawyer who has his own business and has hired four clerks, the last being Bartleby. The narrator seems
to be indecisive, and he is a pushover when it comes to Bartleby because of something in Bartleby s
demeanor that hooks him. The reader sees events unfold through the narrator, and he becomes the
most personable character throughout the story.
2. Characterize the staff at the Wall Street office before the arrival of Bartleby. How are they comic?

Are there any verifiable reasons for his behavior? Is he a developing character (give examples to show
that he is or is not)?
Bartleby is a static character because although initially he is a studious copyist who does his job
diligently and produces lengthy, completed copies, at that time, he is still passive and prefers not to do
the tasks the lawyer asks. When Bartleby tells the lawyer he had permanently given up copying,
indicating an epiphany and change of mind, it does not change who is as a character because he still is
passive and refuses to talk much or explain himself. In the beginning, when the lawyer requests that
Bartleby examine a small paper, he responds with, I would prefer not to. In the middle of the story,
when the lawyer asks Bartleby to leave the premises or make himself useful, Bartleby again responds
with, I would prefer not to quit you, still displaying his passivity. Finally, this passivity leads to his
death as he refuses to eat at the prison even though the grub man shows him a special preference. 4.
How does the lawyer feel about Bartleby at the various stages of his story? Are his feelings clear to
him? How do you feel about Bartleby as the story develops? Can you say for certain why he does
what he does (or does not do what he does not)?
The lawyer changes his opinions on Bartleby as the story develops, never coming to a definitive
decision. Initially, the narrator

Arguments for cathode rays as waves.
Effectively unaffected by gravity (the extremely low mass makes it almost undetectable)

Could travel through certain thin sheets of metal (and were in fact so small they could travel through
the crystal lattice of some metals)
Produce florescence. Arguments for cathode rays as particles.

Combining these two results Thompson was able to find out the mass charge ration of an electron.
9. Outline the role of electrodes in the electron gun, the deflection plates or coils and the fluorescent
screen in the cathode ray tube of conventional TV displays and oscilloscopes.
CATHODE RAY TUBE:
 Electron Gun used to produce fast moving streams of electrons. o The electrodes have two roles: 1)
emit electrons to form a stream 2) accelerate the electrons (accomplished by a very large potential
difference between the cathode and anode) o The anode has a hole in it to allow the stream of
electrons to leave the electron gun.
 Deflection system used to change the direction of the electron stream o For the electron beam to
create an image on the screen, the beam must sweep over the screen rapidly.
 This is accomplished by the deflection plates that guide the electron bean to particular parts of the
screen.
 Fluorescent Screen coated in phosphorus that emits light when struck by the electrons. o This
makes the position of the electron beam visible.

beta club. I was thirteen when I first learned about the VolunTeen program at East Tennessee Children
s Hospital. It was a few months before my fourteen birthday, but I was still too young to apply at the
time. I waited the year to apply, and it was one of the best decisions I have ever made. I went through
the interview process, and I got a position in the Rehab Camp. I would not trade my time in the
program for anything in this world. I watched a child for a week who ended up being my world for the
time, and I can only hope I was theirs too.

Gender Myths and Feminist Fables: The Struggle for Interpretive Power in Gender and Development
is a piece of work that begins to unpick the issue of myths within gender and development. Cornwall
et al examine how myths have a twofold nature they can at once be both useful and problematic in
their creation and in how they are interpreted into policy use by developmental agencies. The article
explores the uneasy space in which these myths are appropriated into processes, and how certain
myths become embedded in developmental practise whilst others are cast aside because of the power
differentials within ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The essay will conclude that this article is useful in thinking about how myths (and language) need to
be addressed in order to achieve the important goal of shifting power dynamics, both within the real
world and the development sector itself, to bring about real change for women and girls globally.
The power and importance of the generation of myths is at the heart of Gender myths and feminist
fables . The article is inspired by the frustration within the development sector with these myths and
highlights how ideas and representations of women, often initially based on feminist research, become
translated through development language into myths. These myths are then appropriated into
simplistic slogans a variety of catchphrases coined by different NGOs, institutions and government
campaigns that reduce the plight of women to a few buzzwords. The researchers put some focus on the
beneficial and unifying nature of myths within development. Cornwall et al harness the works of
Albert Hirschmann and Georges Sorel to demonstrate that myths are an integral part of development
because they have the power to move i.e. in a practical sense, myths are able to capture the heart of the
public and ensure support is pledged to aid agencies. Myths are important, because they act as agents
for change encoding truths in narratives that nourish and sustain convictions both for development

Essay on Solar Energy
Solar Energy
Solar energy is the most ancient kind of energy found on earth, for it is as old as the sun. quot;Solar

overflowing energy. Every second the world receives 95.8 trillion watts of power...just think about that
for a minute. Think about how much power the earth just received in the time it took you to read this

In the 1690 s an Italian scientist invented a solar furnace that was so hot it could shatter a diamond,
one of the hardest substances on earth (Asimov 119).
The real question around the beginning of the 19th century concerning solar energy was quot;could
the sun produce electricity directly? quot; The main motivation behind this desire was that electricity
could be stored in a battery, and used later. It would not be necessary to use the device in the sunlight.
All inventions failed, until Frank Shuman, an engineer from Pennsylvania finally made a
breakthrough. He built an experimental plant that used black troughs covered in glass with a few
inches of water. When exposed to the sun, the water got very hot, causing it to circulate and power an
electric generator. His data was so convincing that he got financial backers and built the world s first
solar electric power plant in Egypt. However, the Eastern Sun Power Company went out of business
even though it was using free fuel. It didn t produce enough electricity for the area that it used, 14,000
sq. ft of sun collecting land (Zweibel 48).
In 1954 Bell Laboratories invented the first photovoltaic (or solar) cell, made from the semi conductor
silicon, and other elements. It was the first way to convert sunlight directly into electricity. When the
space program was launched in the 60 s, it

The Active Participation Of The People Regarding Political...

Dr. David Fisk
Political Science 101
14 January 2015
Final Examination
The active participation of the people regarding their political culture is paramount to the durability
and vitality of their regime. That is, a population that fosters a positive spirit in support of their
government and ardently engages mutually within it will ultimately support a sturdy democracy.
Furthermore, a democracy standing on the virtues of trust and civic engagement within its people will
be able to stand tall and powerful because it s people will be able to cooperate to essentially get more
accomplished.
To begin, the primary element that defines a strong democracy is social capital. Social capital is
defined as, ...features of social organization, such as trust, norms, and networks, that can improve the
efficiency of society by facilitating coordinated actions, (Putnam 167). Putnam posits a very effective
example concerning social capital: ...a group whose members manifest trustworthiness and place
extensive trust in one another will be able to accomplish much more than a comparable group lacking
that trustworthiness and trust, (Putnam 167). In this example he highlights the importance of a
relationship built around trust and how it lends itself to getting more accomplished.
Through social capital, there is a spontaneous cooperation within the people. Spontaneous cooperation
emphasizes the value of trust, and the importance of being both reliable and honest as a

The Importance Of Stereotypes In Maya Angelou s Poetry
Maya Angelou s poetry supports female defiance of stereotypes. The poem Phenomenal Woman
presents a female speaker who defies stereotypes in multiple ways. First, the speaker notes that she
lacks traditional aspects of female beauty, though still has power to draw men to her through her
womanhood and sexuality, as previously discussed. Secondly, the speaker, who can be assumed to be
Angelou, places men on their knees, in positions of servility to her, which contrasts the usual
patriarchal scenario with a woman subject to a man (18). Also, when describing her immediate effect
on a crowded room the speakers says, Then they swarm around me, / A hive of honey bees. Her
metaphor compares men to a hive of honey bees, an unflattering ... Show more content on

The same position appears in, Shoulders falling down like teardrops, which uses a simile to describe a
physical position of the speaker diminishing herself through comparison to falling tears (15). The
image of tears falling adds to the confusion and shock of the speaker when she considers that a man
would prefer her in this state. The speaker rhetorically asks the oppressors, likely male and white
given Angelou s background, if they prefer her with a broken spirit and lack of confidence, implying
that the speaker will not give up and give the male oppressor the power over her that he wants. Such
defiance of patriarchal stereotypes marks Angelou s feminism in her

Passages Of Jane s Jane Eyre
Passages Her beauty, her pink cheeks and golden curls, seemed to give delight to all who looked at
her, and to purchase indemnity for every fault. (page 16) o Upon reading this quote, I felt that the
majority of people in this novel were shallow as they valued looks over everything else. Since Jane
was not as beautiful as the others, she was always the scapegoat no matter what went wrong. o This
line seems to give the reader a better sense of the characters within the story. Oh! I saw a light, and
thought a ghost would come. (page 18) o Why would she think that there would be a ghost? Did the
author leave out a part of the story? This may have been alluding to the fact that Jane was delirious
from being in that room and possibly from the lack of food. After reading ahead, the author explains
that Uncle Reed (Jane s Uncle) died in that room as it was his bedroom. Missis was, she dared say,
glad enough to get rid of such a tire some, ill conditioned child, who always looked as if she were
watching everybody, and scheming plots underhand. (page 26). o As I was reading this quote, I was
thinking to myself, I wonder if Jane would have been better accepted if her father/mother had been
rich? Would that have changed things entirely? o Also, Jane s mother was cut off by her father (Jane s
Grand Father) because he felt that the marriage to Jane s father was beneath her. Maybe, had this
hatred from the grandfather not existed, Jane would have been treated more

Is Markt at risk and liable to NeemMiracle with respect to Trade Mark infringement, passing off,

No Trade Mark infringement for two reasons;
a) The mark or get up being used by Markt only similar in colour and not necessarily name, the word

b) NeemMiracle has not registered the trademark in either Australia or New Zealand.
There may be a case for passing off under common law and/or misleading and deceptive conduct

off to be successful we can refer to the classical trinity . In the Jiff Lemon Case Lord Oliver set out
three tests for an action in passing off to be met. The classical trinity has been used as a touchstone for
passing off.
It can be argued that the getup of the Mira Neem product(s) is adopting a similar style or mark to

Syndrome annually. (Robertson, 2016) Typically, there are 23 pairs of chromosomes in a normal,
healthy human being. One pair from the mother, one from the father. Chromosomes are found in every
cell of the human body, they carry a genetic code that determines specific traits in every human being.
(Park 625 627, 2014) Occasionally, one of the chromosomes may be missing or an extra copy of a
chromosome forms. When this happens, it results in a multitude of genetic abnormalities. These
abnormalities are classified as syndromes. (ndds.org/DownsSyndrome, 2016) Downs Syndrome
(Trisomy 21) is a genetic disorder caused by a third copy of chromosome 21. (Park 625 627, 2014)
There are three different types of Down s Syndrome; Trisomy 21, the most common form of Down s
Syndrome, where an extra copy of chromosome 21 exists in every cell. In Mosaicism, there is an extra
copy of chromosome in some of the cells, these children often present with fewer symptoms. And
lastly, Translocation, where there is an extra segment attached to chromosome 21 itself, often only
affects one set of chromosomes.

Summary Of Martha C. Nussbaum s Anger And Forgiveness
Sometimes people can be angry or furious. However, when the time passes they do not even
remember their anger. Should they stay angry or should they let it go as Martha C. Nussbaum says in
the Anger and Forgiveness book? To answer this question, the notion of anger needs to be explored.
For instance, according to Nussbaum, in the Middle Realm , anger is the domain of life , and affects
the way we spend our lives (p.138). Nussbaum says that we mostly deal with people who we meet
temporarily; it can be at work, at the store or on the street, but we do it on a regular basis. Therefore,
as the author points out, we do not get into a deep relationship with these people in this realm, and this
is a short term situation. Also, Nussbaum says that she finds it easy to transition herself in a non anger
situation with people who she loves. On the other hand, she finds it harder to transition from this
feeling when dealing with irritating strangers (p. 139).
Furthermore, the author agrees with the Stoics that mixture of heterogeneous elements is not worth to
pay attention to. She gives some examples of the heterogeneous elements, which could be improper
termination of employment, negligent medical treatment, harassment on the job, theft, etc. (p.139).
Instead of being angry, Nussbaum suggests Transition (before) or Transition Anger (after). She also
indicates that there is no point in getting further embroiled, mentally and emotionally (p.141). Indeed,
this recommendation is essential for a business world where people have a tendency to get frustrated
fast. By applying Nussbaum s techniques of controlling the anger, businesses can not only improve the
working environment within their companies, but also prevent customers from being angry in various
situations.
A good example of possible applications of Nussbaum s anger techniques is demonstrated in the
article BA says most flights running; angry passengers face delays. People s anger and an inability of
the British Airways company to address the problem lead to negative customers experience and
damaging the company s reputation. In this case, the Middle Realm anger is described which is
usually not important. Even though people are angry, there is nothing

Interview With a Veteran of Desert Storm Essay
Through history, the United States has participated in many significant events, such as the infamous

forces, preparing B 1 bomber planes was one of the most significant tasks to do. Next, in addition to
helping provide equipment for the famous B 1 Bombers, Rob Hernandez had to move across the world

Stephanie Gilmore Essay
You learn a lot more from your losses than your wins. You can dwell on what you ve lost, and how.
But then you need to let it go, because you can t change the result. All you can do is be better next
time, get back out there and try again. These are the words of the famous Australian surfer, Stephanie
Gilmore.
Stephanie Gilmore, born in Murwillumbah, New South Wales, has been given the title of most
medalled female surfer in the world. At the age of 27 she has had twenty one elite World Tour
victories and five World Championships, making her perhaps one of the greatest female surfers in the
world. However, with every win putting a celebrity in the spotlight, of course there must be some
hardships endured. Gilmore is no exception to this. Ranging from a violent attack whilst walking to

The answer can be summed up in one word; inspiration. Gilmore makes an ideal role model for many
girls of all ages. Having started her surfing career at the age of 17, she worked her way up the surf
ladder extremely quickly, winning the Women s world title just two years later at the age of 19.
Along with all her achievements came great controversies, the worst accusing her of making the
surfing industry sexual . This was when she was seen posing nude in the popular sports magazine
Roxy . Gilmore however, bounced back from the rude comments like an expert saying When girls
embrace their femininity and sexuality, it s not taking away from their power and athleticism at all;
they re combining the two sides, and that s a very powerful combination for a girl to have . This
statement also makes her an ideal feminist icon.
Aside from that, Stephanie Gilmore is a charming woman, with terrific speaking skills and a dazzling

Afib Research Paper
Atril fibrillation, also known as Afib, causes problems with the heart s electrical impulse system
resulting in an Afib irregular heartbeat. The most common type of heartbeat problem, Afib affects 2.2
million people in the United States.
Afib Heart Disease
The four chambers of the heart normally beat regularly, with the two uppermost chambers beating
first, followed by the lower two chambers. The beats begins with the signal from an electrical impulse
in the right atrium. During afib heart disease, the impulses don t travel through the heart in a regular
fashion. Impulses fire rapidly, sometimes as fast as 300 to 600 beats per minute. The atrioventricular
node limits these pulses, resulting in an afib heart rate that is 150 beats per minute or less.
Symptoms of Afib ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Complications from Afib
Though many people live for years with afib without any complications, they are more at risk for
other heart problems. In afib, the heart doesn t pump blood effectively due to it beating irregularly and
rapidly, resulting in a greater chance of afib blood clots forming.
When a blood clot leaves the heart, it may travel to the brain, resulting in an afib stroke. People who
have afib are five to seven times more likely to have a stroke than others without the disease. If the
blood clot travels to other parts of the body, such as the lungs, kidneys, heart or intestines, other life
threatening problems can occur. Because afib may decrease the heart s ability to pump by as much as
25 percent, combined with a rapid heart rate, afib heart failure may occur if symptoms are sustained
over several days.

Allusions Of Animals In Macbeth
In the same way that many people today might perceive crickets as lucky , or of black cats as unlucky
, most people in 16th and 17th century England, when William Shakespeare was alive and writing his
plays, had commonly held beliefs about what certain animals represented or symbolized. Shakespeare
is still read, performed and loved today because of his seemingly very deep understanding of human
nature, as well as his solid grasp on what his audience knew, understood, and could relate to. He used
this understanding when writing the play Macbeth, when he utilized allusions to commonly known
animals such as owls, ravens, and bears, to convey the creepy tone of the play as well as the
impending sense of dread that builds throughout the story. In this way, Shakespeare displays his ability
to use commonly held perceptions of different types of animals to convey his tone to people in all
classes of society in 16th and 17th century England. One of the animals that Shakespeare alluded to
heavily in Macbeth is the owl. While Macbeth is off killing King Duncan, Lady Macbeth says, It was
the owl that shrieked, the fatal bellman, which gives the stern st good night, and then later, in the same
scene, Lady Macbeth tells Macbeth, I heard the owl scream and the crickets cry, (Shakespeare Act II,
scene ii). This animal based imagery evokes a sense of creepiness and evil, even in a modern
audience, despite the fact that most people think of owls in a more positive light now than they did
back then. In Shakespeare s time, the allusion would have been even more powerful. Although the owl
was praised as a symbol of Athena in Ancient Greece, the people in Europe in the Middle Ages
thought of it as sinister and shady, due to the fact that it only comes out to hunt in the dark, and its
feathers and wings are constructed so that it can fly completely silently. That sort of mindset carried
into the 16th and 17th centuries, where the owls still carried a deceitful and wicked connotation (Rijks
1). Since owls were widely perceived in such a way in that time period, people in the audience would
assume, possibly even subconsciously, that bad and evil things were happening onstage if there were
references being made to owls, the

Misogyny in the Poem Ode on the Death of a Favourite Cat,...
Female writing during the 18th century became a popular method of expressing feminine mentality on
issues that were previously considered forbidden. Writers such as Aphra Behn, Mary Leapor and Lady
Mary Wortley Montagu published their works alongside many respected male poets such as Jonathan
Swift and Thomas Gray. Women were gaining a sense of independence and emancipation from the
traditional patriarchal rule, and this was occurring at an increasingly rapid pace. Many female poets of
the time wrote works that dealt with the treatment of women by men, and how they are slaves to
masculinity. At the same time, these women were degrading men to the role of an oppressing tyrant.

Selima is at leisure when observing her inverted reflection in the smooth lake (6), which represents the
water in the China vase. As she joyously gazes upon her image she purred applause (12) as she adored
her view, and continued to gaze until two angel forms were seen to glide (14) in the vase. This section
of the poem echoes Eve s character Milton s Paradise Lost:
As I bent down to look, just opposite
A shape within the watery gleam appeared,
Bending to look on me: I started back,
It started back; but pleased I soon returned,
Pleased it returned as soon with answering looks
Of sympathy and love: There I had fixed
Mine eyes till now, and pined with vain desire,
Had not a voice thus warned me; What thou seest,
What there thou seest, fair Creature, is thyself [.] (www.byrosons.net, Book IV, 460 468)
Both Eve and the female cat narcissistically become fascinated with their own reflections, allowing
themselves to become blinded from their unfortunate destinies, which lead them to their own demise
and self destruction. Another stereotypical assumption of women is that they contain an unappeasable
desire for material goods. Since women are also exuding a newfound sense of control and power in
the literary world, Gray also illustrates that, stereotypically, women do not have any control or power
over the situations they place themselves in. The

They were using all of the money but had a low cost effectiveness ratio. Since their bridge was very
heavy and was mostly made out of only newspaper their bridge was probably very weak because it

used in concrete to reinforce it. Without the reinforcement, the beams would crack because of the load
causing the beam to be in tension. Their bridges were made with only paper with tape holding it
together. As compared to my group s bridge we tried our best to reinforce our bridge with straws. With
no reinforcements, their bridge collapsed under the weight put on it. Other groups tried to make a
bridge with the least amount of money hold the most weight. In the future, I would try to make a

not like any of the other bridge. I think making a bridge this way would be more of a challenge in the

Salmon Rivalry
Salmon hatcheries have been operated for a variety of purposes throughout their its history in this
region, from harvest augmentation, to mitigation of habitat destruction, to conservation and
preservation of native populations. Despite this long history, we are only just beginning to understand
how hatchery raised fish interact with and effect wild populations of salmon. Research shows that
captive bread salmon impact wild salmon in a variety of ways, from competing with them directly for
resources, to reducing the fitness of wild populations through interbreeding between wild fish and less

2. The distinction Beerbohm makes between going out for a walk and being taken out for a walk is
that going out for a walk requires your own motivation and pride. He thinks that going out for a walk

Lender Liability and the Duty of Good Faith
Lender Liability and the Duty of Good Faith I. Introduction From time to time, lenders and their
attorneys announce that lender liability is no longer an issue with which the lending community needs
to be concerned. What usually prompts this proclamation of the death of lender liability is a recent
case in which a court has summarily rejected a borrower s claim that the lender violated the duty of
good faith and fair dealing. Many courts have rejected borrowers lawsuits which are based on
allegations of the violation of the lender s duty of good faith. Nevertheless, lender liability should
continue to be an area of concern to lenders. Although courts often dismiss cases based on a borrower

Then a discussion of the objective and subjective test of good faith will take place before finally
concluding that the good faith obligation should not be imposed in debtor creditor situations to
override express terms of a contract. II. The U.C.C. A. The Good Faith Performance Obligation and
the U.C.C. The central provision of the U.C.C. s good faith requirement is found in § 1 203, which
provides that every contract or duty within this Act imposes an obligation of good faith in its
performance or enforcement. With regard to debtor creditor relationships in particular, this obligation
of good faith performance imposes on a lender a duty to deal in good faith with its borrower in all
situations, not only in situations where, because of the circumstances of the loan, the lender has
assumed actual control over and a fiduciary responsibility for the borrower. One troublesome but
important aspect of the good faith performance obligation is its application to contracts, which provide
that one party to the contract may, in its sole discretion, take certain actions pursuant to the contract. In
such cases, the actions of the party who can exercise its discretion may affect all parties to the
contract, and dependent parties must rely on the good faith of the party given the right to exercise its
discretion. Often, the discretion exercised by the party in control will adversely affect the dependent
party. However, it does not necessarily follow that

Analysis Of Edgar Allan Poe s Tell Tale Heart
In the depths of the night, a loud shriek comes from a man who would later be assassinated and hidden
under the floorboards of his own chamber. In Edgar Allan Poe s Tell Tale Heart, the story of this
murder is told from the point of view of the killer. The narrator tells of the man s vulture like eye,
which causes him to murder the man to rid himself forever of the villainy the eye possessed. After the
murder, the narrator is haunted by the sound of the man s beating heart to the point that he has to
admit to his felony. In this ghastly tale, the narrator is guilty of premeditated murder because he had a
reason to kill the man, knew right from wrong throughout the story, and had a plan to kill the old man
in advance.

In addition to the fact that the narrator understood that murdering someone is wrong, the narrator has a
motive for killing the old man. Right off the bat, the narrator tells the reader why he wanted to kill the
old man. He says, I think it was his eye! yes, it was this! One of his eyes resembled that of a vulture a
pale blue eye, with a film over it. Whenever it fell upon me, my blood ran cold; and so by degrees
very gradually I made up my mind to take the life of the old man, and thus rid myself of the eye for
ever. This indicates that he had a clear rationale for killing the old man and is guilty of first degree, or
premeditated murder. Some may argue that the narrator is mentally insane and killed the man because
over an irrational fear caused by his mental illness. However, an insane person would not wait to
terminate a powerful feeling of paranoia and to assassinate the person causing such fear.
The idea that the narrator was patient enough to wait to kill the old man gives a final indication. As
well as having a specific desire to assassinate the elderly man, the narrator had a plan to go about his
killing. This is exhibited when the narrator says, I was never kinder to the old man than during the
whole week before I killed him. This is the first indication that he

The Importance Of Gender Equality In Youth Sports
Youth sports help children to develop many skills such as teamwork and coordination which can be
useful in other aspects of life and can be transferable into many career fields later in life. There are not
many girls playing contact sports. Youth football has a very large portion of male athletes and far less
female athletes. This is due to many factors and barriers created when the organizations that run youth
football leagues may have trouble recruiting young girls, have trouble guaranteeing the safety of
young athletes, and may even discourage young girls from participating in programs. Gender equality
is important for the betterment of society. It is an enduring concept of human life. Gender equality has
been improved due to the increasing number of female players participating in youth football
programs across the country and their inspirational fights to play the sport.
Gender equality is an important part of society. In an article on why everyone should be concerned
about what is happening with equality and should be supportive of advances in equality, the article
emphasizes how important equality is to the future of young women and girls for their careers
(Huhman). Female employees can sometimes be treated unfairly or be held to a higher standard than
their male colleagues. Women who take on leadership positions in their companies or careers are able
to help make improvements in gender equality and in the workplace. Additionally, in another article,
women work together to be activists for equality in sports and work to normalize the participation of
girls in sports often dominated by ale participants (Yi and Bhalla). By working to make seeing girls in
sports more common, girls are inspired to join sports by other female athletes. This creates a ripple
effect and eventually causes more girls to take on leadership positions on teams and higher roles in
their sports. Many of these girls can carry on these leadership qualities at school and eventually as
young women in the workforce. By inspiring these young female athletes to take on these roles and to
inspire others, they can promote gender equality and normalize the idea of females playing contact
sports. While there are some organizations that

The Loss Of Innocence In Elie Wiesel s Night
Loss of innocence is a change in a person s behaviors, beliefs, or perspectives as a result of
experience. The theme of loss of innocence is often seen in not only literature, but also everyday life.
During the Holocaust, many Jewish children were forced into concentration camps, where they
endured eye opening experiences that forced them to lose their innocence. In the memoir, Night, Elie
Wiesel writes about the experiences that caused him to lose his innocence in the concentration camps.
At the age of fifteen, Elie was removed from his home and forced into a concentration camp with only
his father left. Being in the concentration camp, Elie has witnessed and experienced many awful
things that normal teens generally do not go through in life. Through these series of cruel events, Elie
Wiesel experienced a loss of innocence in which caused desentization from the brutal events
happening around him, caused his loss of hope in humanity, and changed his religious faith.
One event that leads to Wiesel s loss of innocence is when he witnesses Idek beat his father with a
metal bar and remained silent about it. This event contributes to Wiesel s loss of innocence because he
lacked emotion during the brutal beating against his father. During the Buna camp, Elie s father was
doing a poor job, which resulted in Idek s father beating his father with a metal bar. Elie thought to
himself, I had watched it all happening without moving. I kept silent. In fact, I thought of stealing

Marcuses Account of the Features and Significance of True...
Modern capitalist society is the target of severe criticism in Herbert Marcuse s book, One Dimensional
Man. As one would hope, Marcuse s intent is not merely to point out the shortcomings of the present
system. He further hopes to encourage change in the most basic features of society, and with the intent
to effect change arises the question of what goals the proposed change is directed towards. Primary
among his goals is the quot;development and satisfaction of human needs and faculties quot; (xliii).
Which of the wide range of human faculties are worthy of development? This question obviously
requires value judgments to be made; any answer will be highly subjective or very complex, and

Because they are imposed on human mentality rather then inherent in the human condition, the needs
which arise within an individual in this way are not truly necessary. Marcuse s term for these
unnecessary needs is quot;false needs. quot; It seems a feature of his definition that quot;false needs
quot; are distinguished by their being imposed on the individual by social interests beyond her own
control. To this definition Marcuse adds the contention that such needs are invariably harmful, a point
which requires empirical support. He writes that these conditioned needs are quot;the needs which
perpetuate toil, aggressiveness, misery, and injustice quot; (5). How does this happen?
One can view Marcuse s account of the harm arising from the creation of false needs as a direct
reponse to an anticipated objection by an adherent of liberal political theory. The liberal theorist might
argue that providing certain basic freedoms, perhaps a right to self determination, must be the primary
goal of society. This goal must take precedence over other aspects of human life, and the liberal
theorist might even argue that bodily sustenance is worthless without basic freedoms. Marcuse s
argument in opposition to this possible view is the idea that quot;freedom from want quot; is quot;the
concrete substance of all freedom quot; (1). This

Venus And The Greenhouse Effect
Today in everyday life, the Greenhouse effect has been heating up our planet Earth. But not only has
Earth been effected, Mars, the moon Titan, and most importantly Venus. Because Venus is so closely
related to Earth, scientist have used Venus s problem to predict what could happen to Earth in the
future. Most of Venus s problem come from being so close to the sun, the thickness of its atmosphere,
and its past experience with the Runaway Greenhouse Effect.
The definition of greenhouse effect is, as the planet absorbs the sun s energy, it also releases a
different form of energy called radiation which gets absorbed by the greenhouse gases making the
atmosphere warmer. One of the main Greenhouse gases is Carbon Dioxide, which is very effective at
trapping heat in an atmosphere, and is being added to the atmosphere faster than Venus can naturally
remove it. Carbon Dioxide is trapped in Venus s atmosphere due to the absence of its magnetic field,
making it easier for lighter gases to escape into outer space, and for heavier ones to be trapped like
Carbon Dioxide. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

organisations that are affected by the activity of the business. There are two different types of
stakeholders; internal and external. Internal stakeholders are groups within the business e.g
owner/workers and employees. External stakeholders are local and national communities and
governments, these are groups outside of the business.
The key stakeholders in a business include customers, suppliers, employees, local and national
communities and governments.

The staff/employees of Oxfam influence the charity greatly and are the main reason as to why the
charity is successful. They provide the friendly customer service to those who decide to shop at the
Oxfam stores. Staff usually do work for free so this allows Oxfam to spend more on developing third
world countries, again this has an impressive influence.
Suppliers want steady orders and prompt payment, they also want to feel valued by the company that
they supply.
Suppliers are interested in supplying Tesco with goods because of the business they get from them and
the profit that they receive. They influence Tesco because if the suppliers go out of business then
Tesco will have to find new suppliers that may not offer the same high standards as the previous
supplier.
Suppliers/donators influence Oxfam greatly. Without the public supplying Oxfam shops with goods to
sell, the shops would fail and would not be able to raise money to support the charities work for third
world countries.
This may be a sole trader or partnership. In a company it would be the shareholders. A charity would
be considered to be owned by trustees owners often have a great influence on the business and are
considered important stakeholders because they might have put a good part of their life into setting up
a business. Owners like to see the success of profit making and the growth of the business.

The Apartheid Of South Africa Essay
South Africa, after experiencing the apartheid, is trying their best to overcome the apartheid. Now, the
country even has its own leader. He is Jacob Zuma. It is already his second term as a president.( News,
B. (2016, August 5)) The country went over a lot of things, and the history of democratic political
system is not very long for them.
English and Dutch colonized South Africa in the seventeenth century. After South Africa got its
independence from England, Afrikaner National Party became a majority. This was the result of two
groups trying to gain the most power, and the Afrikaner National Party won. After the independence
and apartheid they experienced, there was the first non racial elections in 1994. After that,
parliamentary republic was elected after replacing constitution of Interim Constitution in 1197,
February 4th. After the independence, South Africa tried its best to be non racist and get out of the
apartheid they struggled. South Africa elected its own president, and aimed to be democratic. Even
though South Africa now is not fully settled democratic system, they are still struggling and trying
hard to be fully democratic. (The History of Apartheid in South Africa.)
South Africa once again, tried its best and still trying to be a democratic country. However, the second
largest party, DA, was under the control of apartheid even though the party opposed apartheid laws.
That is why DA changed its route to be more conventional liberal, which opposed ANC.(

Essay on Ritalin and Its Effects on Children
Thesis: Today there is a great debate concerning the diagnosis and treatment of ADD/ADHD and who
has the right to decide what happens. It is estimated that between 3 and 12 percent of the population
has to deal with conditions known as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) or Attention
Deficit Disorder (ADD). This equals approximately 3 million children in the United States alone. Both
of these disorders (ADD and ADHD) exhibit the same traits leading them to be lumped together.
Children affected by ADD or ADHD have behavior and emotional problems. Trouble concentrating on
simple tasks, a short attention span, failing to give attention to details, and disruptive behavior are a
few of the problems resulting from ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, the specific gene or genes causing them have not been found despite the completion of the
Human Genome Project. Technological advances have allowed for the discovery of new information
though.
These disorders can be acquired may different ways. One of these ways is before birth. The use of
drugs, toxemia, infectious diseases, exposure to radiation, prematurity, and complicated delivery are
all causes of this disorder originating during pregnancy and delivery. Post delivery causes include
meningitis, encephalitis, seizures from fever, head injury, and lead toxicity. All of these conditions
lead to damage to the brain (About ADD/ADHD).
ADD and ADHD can also be looked at as developmental disorders. This is because some children
seem to outgrow these conditions as they get older. These people were sometimes labeled
underachievers when they were young, and now classified late bloomers since they have outgrown
their disorders.
Many drugs have been developed to treat ADD and ADHD. One of these drugs is Methylphenidate
otherwise known as Ritalin. It is one of the most commonly prescribed drugs for treatment of ADD
and ADHD. Use of Ritalin is up 700 percent since 1990 (ABC News). Other drugs also used in
treatment of ADD and ADHD include Zoloft, Praxil, and Cylert. Ritalin is a drug that is used to
restore neurotransmitters in those that lack or have malfunctioning nerve impulses in the

Use Of Explicit Language In Fahrenheit 451
Thesis: Despite the use of explicit language in Fahrenheit 451, it should be studies in schools for it
conveys an important message of thinking for yourself and places emphasis on the value of written
text and literature as a whole. Introduction When posed with all of today s favorite four and five letter
words, the feeling is mutual among most audiences, it s entertainment, but go to the other side and you
ll soon realize that people are willing to have an entire book banned to keep those very words out of
reach. Despite the use of explicit language in Fahrenheit 451, it should be studies in schools for it
conveys an important message of thinking for yourself and places emphasis on the value of written
text and literature as a whole. Body Paragraph 1: Ray Bradbury s main focus in his novel was based
upon his fear of modern alienation and negative effects of which technology has on written
publications and the freedom of the mind of an individual. This quote represents the way that the
author s anti utopian style further depicts the alienation between people and literature, as well as the
isolation of people from other people, as a negative effect of the advancements of modern technology.
His dystopian world both represents and decries modern alienation, itself a symptom of unbridled
progress in which, by following blind ideals, we can hardly escape from ourselves , (Watt). Bradbury s
anti utopian realm both depicts and criticizes today s estrangement within the

The power and importance of the generation of myths is at the heart of Gender myths and feminist fables . The article is inspired by the frustration within the development sector with these myths and highlights how ideas and representations of women, often initially based on feminist research, become translated through development language into myths. These myths are then appropriated into simplistic slogans a variety of catchphrases coined by different NGOs, institutions and government campaigns that reduce the plight of women to a few buzzwords. The researchers put some focus on the beneficial and unifying nature of myths within development. It would not be necessary to use the device in the sunlight. All inventions failed, until Frank Shuman, an engineer from Pennsylvania finally made a breakthrough. He built an experimental plant that used black troughs covered in glass with a few inches of water. When exposed to the sun, the water got very hot, causing it to circulate and power an electric generator. Should they stay angry or should they let it go as Martha C. Nussbaum says in the Anger and Forgiveness book? To answer this question, the notion of anger needs to be explored. For instance, according to Nussbaum, in the Middle Realm , anger is the domain of life , and affects the way we spend our lives (p.138). Nussbaum says that we mostly deal with people who we meet temporarily; it can be at work, at the store or on the street, but we do it on a regular basis. Therefore, as the author points out, we do not get into a deep relationship with these people in this realm, and this is a short term situation. Also, Nussbaum says that she finds it easy to transition herself in a non anger situation with people who she loves. On the other hand, she finds it harder to transition from this feeling when dealing with irritating strangers (p. 139). Furthermore, the author agrees with the Stoics that mixture of heterogeneous elements is not worth to pay attention to. She gives some examples of the heterogeneous elements, which could be improper termination of employment, negligent medical treatment, harassment on the job, theft, etc. (p.139). Instead of being angry, Nussbaum suggests Transition (before) or Transition Anger (after). She also indicates that there is no point in getting further embroiled, mentally and emotionally (p.141). Indeed, this recommendation is essential for a business world where people have a tendency to get frustrated fast. By applying Nussbaum s techniques of controlling the anger, businesses can not only improve the working environment within their companies, but also prevent customers from being angry in various situations. A good example of possible applications of Nussbaum s anger techniques is demonstrated in the article BA says most flights running; angry passengers face delays. People s anger and an inability of the British Airways company to address the problem lead to negative customers experience and damaging the company s reputation. • 26. Afib Research Paper Atril fibrillation, also known as Afib, causes problems with the heart s electrical impulse system resulting in an Afib irregular heartbeat. The most common type of heartbeat problem, Afib affects 2.2 million people in the United States. Afib Heart Disease The four chambers of the heart normally beat regularly, with the two uppermost chambers beating first, followed by the lower two chambers. The beats begins with the signal from an electrical impulse in the right atrium. During afib heart disease, the impulses don t travel through the heart in a regular fashion. Impulses fire rapidly, sometimes as fast as 300 to 600 beats per minute. The atrioventricular node limits these pulses, resulting in an afib heart rate that is 150 beats per minute or less. • 27. Allusions Of Animals In Macbeth In the same way that many people today might perceive crickets as lucky , or of black cats as unlucky , most people in 16th and 17th century England, when William Shakespeare was alive and writing his plays, had commonly held beliefs about what certain animals represented or symbolized. Shakespeare is still read, performed and loved today because of his seemingly very deep understanding of human nature, as well as his solid grasp on what his audience knew, understood, and could relate to. He used this understanding when writing the play Macbeth, when he utilized allusions to commonly known animals such as owls, ravens, and bears, to convey the creepy tone of the play as well as the impending sense of dread that builds throughout the story. In this way, Shakespeare displays his ability to use commonly held perceptions of different types of animals to convey his tone to people in all classes of society in 16th and 17th century England. One of the animals that Shakespeare alluded to heavily in Macbeth is the owl. While Macbeth is off killing King Duncan, Lady Macbeth says, It was the owl that shrieked, the fatal bellman, which gives the stern st good night, and then later, in the same scene, Lady Macbeth tells Macbeth, I heard the owl scream and the crickets cry, (Shakespeare Act II, scene ii). This animal based imagery evokes a sense of creepiness and evil, even in a modern audience, despite the fact that most people think of owls in a more positive light now than they did back then. In Shakespeare s time, the allusion would have been even more powerful. Although the owl was praised as a symbol of Athena in Ancient Greece, the people in Europe in the Middle Ages thought of it as sinister and shady, due to the fact that it only comes out to hunt in the dark, and its feathers and wings are constructed so that it can fly completely silently. That sort of mindset carried into the 16th and 17th centuries, where the owls still carried a deceitful and wicked connotation (Rijks 1). Since owls were widely perceived in such a way in that time period, people in the audience would assume, possibly even subconsciously, that bad and evil things were happening onstage if there were references being made to owls, the ... Female writing during the 18th century became a popular method of expressing feminine mentality on issues that were previously considered forbidden. Writers such as Aphra Behn, Mary Leapor and Lady Mary Wortley Montagu published their works alongside many respected male poets such as Jonathan Swift and Thomas Gray. Women were gaining a sense of independence and emancipation from the traditional patriarchal rule, and this was occurring at an increasingly rapid pace. Many female poets of the time wrote works that dealt with the treatment of women by men, and how they are slaves to masculinity. Since women are also exuding a newfound sense of control and power in the literary world, Gray also illustrates that, stereotypically, women do not have any control or power over the situations they place themselves in. Many courts have rejected borrowers lawsuits which are based on allegations of the violation of the lender s duty of good faith. II. The U.C.C. A. The Good Faith Performance Obligation and the U.C.C. The central provision of the U.C.C. s good faith requirement is found in § 1 203, which provides that every contract or duty within this Act imposes an obligation of good faith in its performance or enforcement. With regard to debtor creditor relationships in particular, this obligation of good faith performance imposes on a lender a duty to deal in good faith with its borrower in all situations, not only in situations where, because of the circumstances of the loan, the lender has assumed actual control over and a fiduciary responsibility for the borrower. One troublesome but important aspect of the good faith performance obligation is its application to contracts, which provide that one party to the contract may, in its sole discretion, take certain actions pursuant to the contract. In such cases, the actions of the party who can exercise its discretion may affect all parties to the contract, and dependent parties must rely on the good faith of the party given the right to exercise its discretion. Often, the discretion exercised by the party in control will adversely affect the dependent party. However, it does not necessarily follow that ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

One of his eyes resembled that of a vulture a pale blue eye, with a film over it. The Importance Of Gender Equality In Youth Sports Youth sports help children to develop many skills such as teamwork and coordination which can be useful in other aspects of life and can be transferable into many career fields later in life. There are not many girls playing contact sports. Youth football has a very large portion of male athletes and far less female athletes. This is due to many factors and barriers created when the organizations that run youth football leagues may have trouble recruiting young girls, have trouble guaranteeing the safety of young athletes, and may even discourage young girls from participating in programs. Gender equality is important for the betterment of society. It is an enduring concept of human life. Gender equality has been improved due to the increasing number of female players participating in youth football programs across the country and their inspirational fights to play the sport. Gender equality is an important part of society. In an article on why everyone should be concerned about what is happening with equality and should be supportive of advances in equality, the article emphasizes how important equality is to the future of young women and girls for their careers (Huhman). Female employees can sometimes be treated unfairly or be held to a higher standard than their male colleagues. Women who take on leadership positions in their companies or careers are able to help make improvements in gender equality and in the workplace. Additionally, in another article, women work together to be activists for equality in sports and work to normalize the participation of girls in sports often dominated by ale participants (Yi and Bhalla). By working to make seeing girls in sports more common, girls are inspired to join sports by other female athletes. This creates a ripple effect and eventually causes more girls to take on leadership positions on teams and higher roles in their sports. The theme of loss of innocence is often seen in not only literature, but also everyday life. During the Holocaust, many Jewish children were forced into concentration camps, where they endured eye opening experiences that forced them to lose their innocence. In the memoir, Night, Elie Wiesel writes about the experiences that caused him to lose his innocence in the concentration camps. At the age of fifteen, Elie was removed from his home and forced into a concentration camp with only his father left. Being in the concentration camp, Elie has witnessed and experienced many awful things that normal teens generally do not go through in life. Through these series of cruel events, Elie Wiesel experienced a loss of innocence in which caused desentization from the brutal events happening around him, caused his loss of hope in humanity, and changed his religious faith. One event that leads to Wiesel s loss of innocence is when he witnesses Idek beat his father with a metal bar and remained silent about it. This event contributes to Wiesel s loss of innocence because he lacked emotion during the brutal beating against his father. To this definition Marcuse adds the contention that such needs are invariably harmful, a point which requires empirical support. One can view Marcuse s account of the harm arising from the creation of false needs as a direct reponse to an anticipated objection by an adherent of liberal political theory. The liberal theorist might argue that providing certain basic freedoms, perhaps a right to self determination, must be the primary goal of society. This goal must take precedence over other aspects of human life, and the liberal theorist might even argue that bodily sustenance is worthless without basic freedoms.
