1. Communication Essays
Crafting an essay on the subject of communication can be a challenging endeavor. Firstly,
communication is an incredibly broad and multifaceted topic, encompassing various forms such
as verbal, non-verbal, interpersonal, mass, digital, and cross-cultural communication, among
others. Narrowing down the focus of the essay to a specific aspect of communication requires
careful consideration and research to ensure depth and relevance.
Moreover, effective communication itself is a complex phenomenon influenced by numerous
factors including cultural backgrounds, social contexts, personal experiences, and technological
advancements. Understanding these intricacies and analyzing their implications within the
confines of an essay can be daunting.
Furthermore, communicating ideas effectively through writing requires a mastery of language,
organization, and argumentation. Crafting a coherent and persuasive essay demands clarity of
thought, logical structure, and adept use of evidence to support claims. Balancing theoretical
frameworks with practical examples and real-world applications adds another layer of
complexity to the writing process.
Additionally, staying abreast of current research and emerging trends in communication theory
and practice is essential for producing a relevant and insightful essay. This necessitates extensive
reading and critical engagement with scholarly literature, which can be time-consuming and
intellectually demanding.
In conclusion, while writing an essay on communication offers opportunities for exploration and
intellectual growth, it also presents significant challenges in terms of scope, complexity, and
scholarly rigor. Successfully navigating these challenges requires dedication, patience, and a
commitment to excellence in academic writing.

2. Role of Women in Greek Myth Essay
The role of women in ancient Greek life was insignificant compared to that of
Greek men. A woman s job was to take care of the children and to cook and clean
unless she had servants or slaves that would do it for her. Yet, in Greek mythology,
women were often written as major characters. Well known Greek plays contain
many well written, complex, female characters. Female individuals in Greek
mythologywere often seen as very powerful and fierce and were depicted by her wits,
her beauty, or her bad deeds.
To start off we have Helen of Troy, a mortal woman, thought to be one of the most
beautiful in her time. She left her husband Menelaus of Sparta for Paris of Troy and
because of that and her beauty a 10 year war surged between Sparta ... Show more

4. Living With Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder
I.Introduction Living with Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder is one of the
hardest challenges I have ever faced. Having been diagnosed at the age of seven, it
is the most prevalent thing in my life. ADHD is the most commonly diagnosed
psychological disorder in the United States (Hughes). It is a persistent disorder,
often prevalent through adolescence and adulthood. Most individuals diagnosed
are between the ages of seven and nine, although there have been numerous cases
where individuals have been diagnosed in their later years. Case studies show that
males are four times more likely to be diagnosed/affected with ADHD, and lately,
studies have shown an unexplained increase in the number of diagnoses made in
children. It has been recognized that in the past, people have scoffed at the
diagnosis of ADHD, and even disregarding and bashing the disorder, calling it
things like, a real medical hoax (Citation). These individuals, however, are severely
misguided, seeing as though ADHD is a real disorder, and it affects millions of
people worldwide in present day. There have been neurological studies studying and
showing that ADHD is, in fact, neurologically related, and it is most likely caused by
chemical imbalances in individual s brains (Citation). One greatly debated question
in the world of Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder is, Can an individual that was
diagnosed with ADHD eventually outgrow it? One side of this argument states that
an individual that has been

Comparing Frances Zefferilli s Hamlet and Shakespeare s Hamlet
I believe Frances Zefferilli s version of Shakespeare s Hamlet, made in 1990, is one
of the best versions of the play to be put onto screen. The film, starring Mel Gibson
as Hamlet, and Glen Close as Queen Gertrude, takes a different look to the play.
Zefferilli explores the physiological stability of Hamlet very well, especially in Act
3, Scene 4. My interpretation of that scene in the text was different to the one given in
the movie.
After reading the scene, I had the notion that Hamlet was already quite confused he
had just come out of a scene where he could have killed the king, but his blunted
purpose gets in the way. The killing of Polonius in the text gave me... Show more

He just continues on. He isn t put off because he had such high hopes that it would be
the king, so instead of being sad about the murder of his trusted councillor, he is
merely disappointed that it had to be Polonius calling for help instead of the king.
This part of the scene is presented a bit differently in the movie. When Hamlet enters,
you can really tell that he has gone mad. He is sad one minute, the next minute he ll
give out an almighty roar. Zefferilli has used the scenes surrounding this one to make
it seem important. In some of the versions they didn t have the near death of
Claudious the scene before. I think having this scene beforehand sets you up for
Hamlet s confrontation with his mother.
You can really tell that both Hamlet and Gertrude are affected by Hamlet s insanity.
Both of them appear to cry for most of the scene. The whole scene is a sharing of
emotions. The kiss is a connection between them both, rather than a lust they both
have for any sexual contact. They needed to connect physically in some way, after all
they are mother and son.
When the ghost of Hamlet s father enters, Hamlet is eager to find out what he has to
say. The ghost suggests that Hamlet talks to his mother but Gertrude still believes
that he has lost his sanity, Alas, how is t with you? . In the movie the ghost appears
to be a real person, not a see through character like the other movies depict. This is
done to cause the allusion that Hamlet s father is still
6. The Role Of Anxiety Disorders In Veterans
The Department of Veterans Affairs says that anger is a common complaint of
people who are diagnosed with PTSD, which is an anxiety disorder. And
researchers from Cordova University believe anger and anxiety are related. If you
have been diagnosed with PTSD or other anxiety disorder, it s important for you to
understand anger.
The causes and triggers of anger
People with anxiety have a heightened sense of awareness to what they perceive are
threats. When they feel threatened they have anxiety attacks and/or flashbacks.
Researchers believe they may have found the cause of flashbacks and it has to do
with serotonin, which many people recognize as a hormone that makes you happy.
However, serotonin has also been found to play a role in the storing
7. Believe In Divorce
Do you believe in divorce? Do you believe it is better for the child or children in
the middle of the divorce? I believe it isn t, because a girl now 17 named Kristina
Herrndobler says even though she has no memory of the trauma, but she still has an
abiding skepticism of marriage. Also, in the United States almost 50% of marriages
end in divorce, which means 50% of people in the U.S will either see the effects of
divorce or feel them first hand. This should not be taken lightly because a portion
of that 50% are children and since they are so impressionable, being that children
are often sheltered from sorrow and sadness this can leave them emotionally scarred
for the rest of their lives . I believe that divorce can leave children psychologically...

I believe differently, because I ve been through two divorces and in actuality they
often make things more tense and cause more arguments than before the divorce
was even done and over with. Divorce comes with hurt, sorrow, and many negative
effects on the future of everyone involved. Divorce gives children an increased
risk of depression, anxiety, anger issues, trust issues, learning disabilities and other
psychological problems that they will have to deal with for the rest of their lives
which they have a lot left to live of. As I said above even a woman now 26 has
fears of being with someone any less than perfect because of what she went
through as a child. Research has shown that the trauma of divorce follows
everyone involved through the rest of their lives even if it is the past and even if
all that follows them is memories it is all still negative. Divorce comes with
custody battles and with those come arguing and tension that is unnecessary which
leads to more frustration and sadness which all comes down to just complete
negativity. On top of all of that it brings upon unnecessary financial problems that
could be avoided through therapy and even just being civilized and not being
selfish. So before you say divorce is better for the well being go and check some
statistics because 99% of them state the opposite which makes your claims

erospace engineering pertains to aircrafts and spacecraft, it involves researching,
developing, constructing. It can be split into two major fields; aeronautical
engineering and astronautical engineering. Aeronautics is concerned with aircraft
that fly within Earth s atmosphere whereas astronautics is concerned with
spacecrafts. The focus of this Aerospace Engineering(Aeronautics) project and
production was to build an aircraft. It was to increase maneuverability while
keeping control and stability. There was a need for a much more advanced
transportation. Over the last year, four major disasters have damaged the name of
the aeronautics. First, there were the two lost Malaysia Airlines 777s, one due to an
errant missile fired from a war zone, the other due to circumstances that are still
unclear. Then came the AirAsia crash, as well as the recent loss of a TransAsia
plane in Taiwan. In mobility everything is added to the flight and drop of a flying
machine.
In result of these disasters the Janejet AT 9 is equipped with two turbojet engines,
a avionics computer bay, shock absorber and a FAA certified auto pilot raft and a
2016 fly by wire system. It is made up of aluminum and two curricular rotor blades
inside the sides of the plane. With these assets the Janejet AT 9 will have the ability
to hover, ascend, descend, take off and be prepared for crash landing ease.

The Panama Canal The Panama Canal is the only canal in the world to link the
Atlantic and Pacific oceans together. It was built in the country of Panama and first
used on August 15th of 1914. It became one of the most useful canals in the world for
trading and transportation. In my opinion, the creation of the Panama Canal served as
a significant human feat because the level of construction that it required had
never been done before, it took major sacrifices by humans and the economy, as
well as created a major world trading route. It has shown to be the most successful
North American Canal. The Panama Canal first began construction the very first
day of 1881 on January 1st. Diplomat Ferdinand de Lesseps of France was the
leader of the Suez Canal construction which led to him leading the construction of
the Panama Canal. He did not examine the location of construction very well and
poorly timed his preconstruction viewing during the dry seasons of Panama. After
the dry season was ended, flooding and storms occurred causing lives to be lost and
delay of construction. Mosquitos carrying malaria and poisonous snakes added to the
deaths during construction averaging to about 200 a month. Although the fabrication
of the canal was not as successful as they had wanted it to be at this time, it lead to
the invention of steam shovels because most machinery were made of steel and had
serious rusting problems.

was secured. I read over my passage of my werecat assassin code, then met the

In the Uniform crime report section it covers how crime is recorded and documented
nationwide so statics can be compiled and released to the public. The UCR, though
very effective, does have its flaws. For instance, it is mentioned that there are times
when coders made mistakes when entering crimes and one area in particular stands
out. Branford Connecticut entered their NIBRS subjectively to the UCR and it was
called into question when it showed a 35% increase in their burglary rate. Another
issue that can occur is that some departments who experience high crimerates may not
report all crimes into the UCR to make their area seem safer. One of the strangest
things that can happen with this system is that departments can be enhancing their

The United Nations was not created to lead mankind to heaven, but to save humanity

Dag Hammarskjöld , former United Nations Secretary General
The kinds of hell Dag Hammarskjöld referred to are not difficult to imagine in a
world ravished by World War II and terrified by the threat of nuclear war.
Hammarskjöld is known today as the second Secretary General of the United
Nations (UN) and widely regarded as a man of unimpeachable character. His career
at the UN was remarkable, in that he was completely uninterested in the
bureaucratic politics many at the United Nations engage in, choosing to lead
projects from the command tent instead of the corner office. He was the first and
only Secretary General to be chosen unanimously and is largely regarded as the
greatest leader of the United Nations in history. John F. Kennedy once said about
Hammarskjöld, I realize now, in comparison to him I am a small man. He was the
greatest statesman of our century. (Cite) The question then begs to be asked: what is
the driving force behind this man s impeccable integrity? As we know now, it was
his passionate and private Christian faith. His compassion for his fellow man
manifested itself in the form of service to millions through the United Nations. In
addition, a collection of vivid personal Christian reflections, hailed by many as one of

14. The Concentration Of The Wastewater
where M1 is the molarity (concentration) of the wastewater, V1 is the amount of
titrant used to reach a neutral pH, M2 is the concentration of the titrant used, and V2
is the total amount of titrant used as calculated in Figure 1. As Table 8 shows, the
calculations were consistent with the qualitative analysis of concentration formerly
explained. For example, the olive oil had the most concentrated wastewater at 10.25
M while detergent I and vegetable oil had the least concentrated waste water at 2.5
M and 3.6 M, respectively.
Just like all the other results, these titration analyses could be due to the improper
formation of soap due to a lack of heating again, as previously explained. Then, there
was detergent II which started with an ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A 1M concentration of each was used in the titrations when a 6 M concentration
should have been used. As a result, this caused the calculated concentrations of the
wastewater to be higher than they otherwise would be.
Looking at Figures 2 7, the titration graphs have an interesting curve. The change in
pH appears to start slow, then almost instantaneously changes to the neutralized
pH. For example, in Figure 2, the olive oil wastewater starts with a very basic pH.
As hydrochloric acid is added, the graph appears to slowly move down the Y axis,
meaning the pH is decreasing as well. Suddenly, around the time when about 0.33
units of hydrochloric acid had been added, the graph drops steeply to the acidic pH
values and plateaus at the acidic pH of about 1.4. The vegetable oil waste water s
titration curve in Figure 3, the crisco waste water s titration curve in figure 4, the
lard waste water s titration curve in figure 5, and the detergent I waste water s
titration curve in figure 6 all display the same described pattern as olive oil waste
water s titration curve. In figure 7, the detergent II waste water s curve follows the
same general pattern but is reversed. The graph starts at an acidic pH since the
detergent II s waste water was acidic. Then, it increases slowly at first and
exponentially increases in pH with the graph showing a steep curve and eventually
leveling out to a basic pH of about 12. The
15. How Is King Henry Viii Selfish
Many people know King Henry VIII as the cruel man with six wives. He was seen
as a very controversial ruler. His desire for a male heir and ultimate power drove
him to do things that no other person would dare to attempt. To easier understand the
reasoning behind his actions, you need to dig further into his life. Henry had a decent
upbringing as the child of Henry VII of Englandand Elizabeth of York. He was born
on January 28, 1491 and was their second son. He had an older brother named Arthur
who had been engaged to Catherine of Aragonsince the age of two, she was the
daughter of Ferdinand and Isabella, the rulers of Spain. Arthur was always destined
to take the throne. Therefore, Henry was steered towards a church career and studied
music, languages, poetry, and sports. He learned French, Spanish, Italian, and Latin,
which was the international language. Henry was happy about England being a
catholic nation. Even when he was away from home, he would still attend Mass
three times a day. He had so much knowledge about the religion that he was allowed
to talk with the church officials. He wrote books and even some musical works. It is

diagnosed with Glioblastoma and only given six months to live, turned her
tragedy into a legacy when she chose to die with dignity. She became an advocate
for the Compassion and Choices End of Life Consultation or EOLC program by
sharing her story and decision with everyone in America in an effort to help give
everyone in her situation the same options. She believed in dying with dignity for
the same basic reasons that many others do; constitutionally speaking, it is within
everyone s individual rights, it is an established medical practice used all over the
world, and no one should be forced to suffer needlessly. After researching her
diagnosed form of cancer and discussing her options with her family, any type of
treatment given would only destroy the quality of life during the time she had left
to live. What would you do? Imagine going to the doctor after numerous, severe
headaches. The doctor performs a CT scan that reveals a rapidly growing brain
tumor. The doctor breaks down the information, reveals that the tumor is a rare form
of cancer, and is inoperable. Unfortunately, the doctor also relays the life expectancy
with a cancer this rare and aggressive; a few months at best and those short months

18. Grade Inflation Is The Biggest Issue
Is Grade Inflation Truly The Biggest Issue? Grade inflation, the belief that students
are receiving grades that they haven t worked for and therefore don t deserve. But
what s so wrong about grade inflation? When learning about this subject we also open
the doors to learning about the multitude of other problems plaguing our educational
system that could use our attention much more than gradeinflation does. Through
gradeinflation we re able to understand problems often forgotten about and looked
over. When researching into the topic of grade inflation one begins to see a
multitude of problems arise that have been previously ignored and have been left
to continue wreaking havoc on the educational system. Mark Oppenheimer shares
a similar points of view in his article where he discussed his opinion, that grade
inflation is one of the much lesser issues and that we need to be focusing on other
things.(other things, just quote his article). His ideas are countered by the ideas of
people such as Rojstaczer who argue that grade inflation is becoming an out of
control issue that needs to be fixed (add in quotes from the book and article) In the
past colleges like Princeton and Wellesley have tried to adopt policies to help curb
grade inflation. Even though it lowered the percentages of high grades, effectively
lowering the amount of grade inflation, it came with the cost of unforeseen
consequences that affected the students and staff. In his article Rojstaczer
19. Reduction Of Nuestra De La EncarnaciГіn
In the end, isolation and indoctrination would remove the old religion and replace it
with the religion of the west. For many of the Jesuit mission towns, isolation and
indoctrination did not always have virtuous motivations. On the other hand, in the
case of the GuaranГ and their Jesuit missionaries, both sides had positive motivations
for establishing the Reduction of Nuestra SeГ±ora de la EncarnaciГіn. Although the
motivations appear self serving on the exterior, the interior motives of both the
GuaranГ and the missionary are relatively positive. For the GuaranГ, the reductions
provided protection by the European missionaries from the slave raiding Portuguese

20. The Pursuit Of The Romantic Movement
It is illustrative of a wider cultural dichotomy that it seems simultaneously radical and
conformist to the point of truism to state that science has been a definably romantic
endeavour, in culture and practice. The heroic and transcendent in science (namely
that which is seen to contribute to improvement) has obviously been endorsed and
celebrated through prose, poetry and image, but few of these celebrations directly
acknowledge the values of the romantic. Likewise, the surprising interdisciplinary
overlap that existed before the lath eighteenth and early nineteenth century definition
and division of scientific application and research, art and academia is rarely
discussed. Similarly, the embrace of the subjective, the social and the highly
experimental amongst earlier, scientifically inclined romantics sits uneasily with
enlightenment grounded assertions that the primary scientific focus has always been
the discovery of natural rules and applications, through pure logic and reason.
Within this paper, the influences and cultural changes that the romantic movement
(particularly within the superlatively receptive nations of Britain and Germany)

22. 5 Elements Of Crimes Paper
There are 5 general elements of crimes. Those are mens rea, the act, the concurrence
principle, harm and causation (Brody and Acker, 2010).
First we will define each. Mens rea is latin for mental element. A fundamental
principle of Criminal Law is that a crime consists of both a mental and a physical
element. Mens rea, a person s awareness of the fact that his or her conduct is criminal,
is the mental element, and actus reus, the act itself, is the physical element (Legal
Dictionary, n.d). An example of this would be the current investigation and decision
by the FBI not to prosecute Hillary Clinton because the FBI concludes Hillary
Clinton did not mean to violate the law when she used her personal server to send out
confidential emails.
The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The concurrence principle requires a logical connection or nexus between mens rea
and an act before the conduct is labeled criminal and the act must have been
motivated by a guilty mind (Brody and Acker, 2010). So someone breaks into my
house because they are homeless and hungry. They decide after getting cleaned up
and getting something to eat, to take some personal items from my house. They have
not committed burglary because they did not intentionally break into my house with
the idea of stealing something. They only wanted something to eat and to get clean.
The fourth element is harm. This is pretty well self explanatory. It is causing harm to
another individual. So assault would be considered harming someone because they
have physically harmed another human being in the course of a crime.
The last element is causation which is causing or producing an effect. A defendant in
a trial will have a hard time trying to prove someone other than themselves caused the
actual crime. Let us say I stab someone and they are deemed unconscious on the way
to the hospital. During the ambulance ride, the victim who is unrestrained, knocks
out the breathing tube that has been inserted and winds up dying. The ambulance
personnel cannot be held liable and deemed the cause of the victim s death because
the injuries sustained were fatal
23. Varying Cultural Structures in Homer s The Illiad and The...
Greek mythology deals significantly with culture and its factors, as they describe the
societies and the people inhabiting it by depicting their everyday life and the state of
their land. Both Hephaestus, in Homer s Iliad, and Odysseus, in Homer s The
Odyssey, set out to portray the cultures that they saw, yet the cultures and societies
varied greatly, from Hephaestus illustrating the highly developed societies of the
Greek and their culture; while on the other hand, Odysseusseems baffled by how
underdeveloped the Cyclopes land and culture is. Hephaestus and Odysseus seem to
have the same understanding what is normal of a culture, society, and their factors;
however, there are noteworthy variations between their accounts. In the 18th... Show

Odysseus continues to elaborate, These people have no institutions, no meetings for
council...each one is the law for his wives and children. (Odyssey 9.112, 114) Hence,
the absence of laws leads to the lack of a structured society, where there were no
mediators, no law to abide by to and dictate what is right or wrong. Such difference
was dire enough for Odysseus to use to describe the new land that he reached, as
this state of chaos and lack of laws was one of the primary shortcomings of the
Cyclops culture, and could be the reason why the Cyclops culture was primitive. The
major difference between the two cultures, Hephaestus culture on the shield and the
Cyclops culture, is in their approach to agriculture and the economical basis of the
culture. Hephaestus described the agriculture aspect using many images, starting with
He made upon it a soft field, the pride of the tilled land, wide and triple ploughed.
(Iliad 18.541, 542) Here he vividly displayed the image of the ploughed field; also,
Hephaestus continues to elaborate on agriculture, as it is the economic basis and
structure of the culture on the shield. Ensuing Hephaestus proceeds to describe a
harvesting scene with the harvesters working, the king pleased with the harvest and
the women preparing food for the workers while the heralds preparing a feast; thus
showing the society members and the role of each one and

A Study Of The Life And Career Of Lord Alfred Tennyson And Selected Criticism
Of His Works Whether a person likes or dislikes the works of Lord Alfred
Tennyson, most would agree that he was one of the most influential writers of his
time period. Tennyson grew up in a wealthy family never wanting for anything.
English author often regarded as the chief representative of the Victorian age in
poetry. Tennyson succeeded Wordsworth as Poet Laureate in 1850; he was
appointed by Queen Victoria and served 42 years. Tennyson s works were
melancholic, and reflected the moral and intellectual values of his time, which made
them especially vulnerable for later critic. Alfred, Lord Tennyson was born in

In the poem Enoch Arden, Philip Ray and Annie Lee grow up together. Enoch
wins her hand. He sails abroad and is shipwrecked for 10 years on a deserted
island. Meanwhile Annie has been reduced to poverty. Philip asks her to marry
him. Enoch returns and witnesses their happiness, but hides that he is alive and
sacrifices his happiness for theirs. An Enoch Arden has come to mean a person
who truly loves someone better than himself. The poem ends banally: So past the
strong heoic soul away. / And when they buried him, the little port / Had seldom
seen a costlier funeral. IDYLLS OF THE KING (1859 1885) dealt with the
Arthurian theme, and THE ANCIENT SAGE (1885) and AKBAR S DREAM
(1892) testified his faith in the redemption offered by love. Despite his pessimism
about the human condition, the poet believed in God. In the 1870s Tennyson
wrote several plays, among them poetic dramas QUEEN MARY (1875) and
HAROLD (1876). In 1884 he was created a baron. Tennyson died at Aldwort on
October 6, 1892 and was buried in the Poets Corner in Westminster Abbey. Soon he
became the favorite target of attacks of many English and American poets who saw
him as a representative of narrow patriotism and sentimentality. Later critics have
praised again Tennyson. T.S. Eliot has called him the great master of metric as well
as of melancholia and that he possessed the finest ear of any English poet since

25. Batman And Superman Similarities
To people that have comic book illiteracy, Batman and Superman would seem like
they would be pretty similar to each other, which is true but only to a degree. They
have similar names, outfits, and both live two different lives, etc. On the other hand,
when it comes down to what makes these two men special, they are polar opposites.
They have differences in backgrounds, powers, motivations, and in what makes them
popular among fans. Despite their similarities in outward appearances, Batmanand
Supermanare exceedingly distinct from one another. Batman and Superman are
poles apart, but, when it comes to certain aspects of their lives, they can be found to
be similar. Both Batman and Superman are extremely popular comic book
superheroes who have had multiple television shows and movies made about them.
Batman and Superman show up at similar times in the comic book world and are
published in the same comic book brand: DC Comics. Moreover, they both have
superherocostumes and despite the color themes, the costumes follow the pattern of
having their logo on their chest followed with a cape in the back. They are also alike
in terms of their secret identities. Batman is actually Bruce Wayne and Superman is
actually Clark Kent and they both live normal lives when they are not out saving
them. Both of these characters have childhoods where both men did not know their
parents very well because their parents died when they were young, making both of
them orphans. When they start

Optimizing Website Success Be Mobile Friendly
In the past year web traffic from smart phones has increased by 84%. This shift has
created a need for companies to be able to communicate with their clients effectively
via a new technology and has afforded some issues tiny screens for instance.
There aren t any wrong ways to deal with this new challenge, but there are some
methods that have been shown to be more effective than others. Before modifying
your website or building a companion website it s important to determine what the
clients will wish to accomplish on your mobile site. They will either be looking to
save time or locate information.
The best thing you can do for your website if you don t wish to create a mobile
version is simplify the content of your site. By eliminating unnecessary
information, links and large slow loading graphics, mobile viewers can locate
information more easily without having to zoom, refresh or wait a long time for
your site to load. Try to keep contact information on each page most mobiles will
allow users to click on a telephone number and store it right from the website
remember that users will be navigating with fingers so it is very important that the
font be large enough. This has huge advantages when your goal is to obtain new
clients.
Once you have recreated your website to be more consumer friendly as a whole, it s
time to think about other ways that mobile users could find you without actually
visiting your site. Utilising

Knives or Kukri Knives which is more lethal? Comparisons are odious, wrote the
poet John Lydgate in the 15th century. While that may be true, comparisons are fun
too, and inevitable. Below we look at two of the most celebrated knives in human
history and leave the judgment to you. The Bowie Knife The Bowie knife is the
quintessential American knife. Invented by famous pioneer Jim Bowie, its legend
originates from a bar fight in which Bowie, armed with his knife, survived despite
being up against guns. That blade was different from the modern day Bowie knives
and more like a butcher s knife. The design later evolved to include some standard

The lumbering blade is twice as heavy as the Bowie but it is one uncompromising,
destructive weapon. A sharp Kukri in the hands of anyone capable of wielding it
with skill is a force to be reckoned with (Google the exploits of Gurkha soldiers in
the World Wars). If your parallel earth opponent is a quick, lithe individual with a
knife of his own, then the lighter, more wieldable Bowie would be the better
option. If he is a big, strong giant of a figure, and you are unsure of the damage the
Bowie would cause, then opt for the Kukri. Granted, it is easier to stab with a
Bowie, but a stabbing stroke is also easier to deflect. Now imagine him trying to
parry or deflect the swing of a shiny, heavier Kukri; also, a Kukri strike does not
have to be perfect to inflict damage. Bowie and Kukri in popular culture The knife
immortalized by Sly Stallone in the Rambo franchise is a version of the Bowie
knife. Milla Jovovich s Alice from the Resident Evil movies has put many a monster
to rest with the Kukri. Interestingly, the Bowie and the Kukri appears together in the
original Bram Stoker s Dracula, in 1897. A Kukri decapitates the Count as a Bowie

Production and inventory control s responsibility was to minimize yield and

direct production workers, support, and overhead staff. As the processes matured and
became more and more automated, fewer direct production workers would be
required. American Connector Company s Sunnyvale facility was divided into five
separate production areas: terminal stamping and fabrication, terminal plating, plastic
housing moulding, assembly and testing, and packaging. Typically, terminals were
cut or stamped, then transported to a holding area to await plating. Concurrently, the
mouldingdivision fabricated the plastic housings, which were then shipped to the
work in process holding area to await plating of the terminals. Following plating, the
batches of housings and plated terminals were shipped to assembly, where most of
the units were assembled through an automated assembly process (10% of

31. Internet Neutrality
Who owns the internet? The common opinion is that the web is a free and equal
source for all its users, belonging to no one and everyone at the same time, however
the increasing monopolization of content producers and methods of access has
become a major cause for concern. As a unified, single entity, the Internetdoes not
belong to any single person or organization, but the quality and levels of access
available are dependent on thousands of corporate groups and impact every internet
user. While once seen as an equalizing field, discussions of web fast lanes, private
platforms, and pay for play access have turned the once obviously neutral Internet into
a highly contested structure. Net neutrality is a step forward towards ensuring a future

The preferential leveraging of certain websites by telos and ISPs inherently
implies reduced access to others, Panda explains, ...this could lead to blocking
others, either fully or, with choked access... ISPs are the gateway through which all
access must pass. Millions of web pages, platforms, app, services, with any and all
types of information and resources available. There are small, niche sites (Reddit
forums on Twilight Zone special features) to large, global content (the DOW
summary) available at all hours of the day, and while the educational value of each
of these would undoubtedly vary from person to person, access to both of these does
not. Comparatively, in a world without net neutrality equalized education is
constantly at risk depending on their whims of the ISP. Attempting to access event
coverage on FOX news could be slowed or blocked completely if Comcast is your
internet service provider. This not only leads to biased or even misinformation, but
further monetizes the very nature of education. Paid prioritization, where those with
the most financial resources can speed up access to their content, would hurt public
and non profit content providers, such as libraries, that cannot afford a fast lane for
research and archival collections (Long). Additionally, because content providers
that pay more for fast lanes could pass extra charges on to consumers for access to
organizations that have not paid for such lanes, leading libraries and schools to end
up paying more for commercial content while still losing their consumer base. ISPs
are businesses at their core and thus have financial incentives to favor their own
content over others, but once customers pay for their internet access, they should have
the rights to choose the content they access. When someone purchases a car, they
determine the route and

civilian that were present at the time of World War II. This criticism is personified
through the main characters. Furthermore, Anime is usually known for its
flamboyant and outlandish animation (Yegulalp). However, Grave of the Fireflies,
despite being a popular Anime, exhibits emotional themes and portrays realistic
events and themes that reflects its time period (Ebert). Grave of the Fireflies was
released in 1988 as a double feature film in conjunction with Hayao Miyazaki s My
Neighbor Totoro (Toyama). Each film has contrasting qualities; Takahata s Grave of
the Fireflies deals with realistic and emotionally devastating themes, whereas
Miyazaki s My Neighbor Totoro portrays lighthearted themes such as innocence, and
are more popular with family audiences. My Neighbor Totoro is more prevalent with
western audiences because of its... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Takahata criticizes Japan s self pride through the film s examination of how the
children suffered. This self pride is seen through Japan s Nationalism and the main
character, Seita, himself. Seita, throughout the film, captures these Nationalist
ideals of righteousness and vengeance. Other than this Nationalism, his self
delusion and unwavering pride is also the result of Setsuko s death. So, how does
Grave of the Fireflies show how pride can be destructive? Historical and cultural
contexts, as well as the film s characterizations should be examined to understand
how self pride can be destructive. Takahata s Grave of the Fireflies is a criticism of
how self pride ultimately led to the suffering of Seita and Setsuko, whether it is by
Japan s fault or the main character
41. Tennessee Williams s Tragic Comedy
Once Williams made a name for himself, during his time at school, he rose in
popularity rather fast. While he was at the start of his career, he would become so
full of energy [h]e probably needed some of those boosters to help maintain that
fast paced, energetic level of performance (Herbert 65). Even though he was
energetic enough and look as if to have unlimited jokes, he was said to have stolen
other comedian jokes. Many other comedians would not perform in front of
Williams in case he decided to steal their work. Ultimately, he began staying outside
whichever club he was performing at that night so one could blame him for stealing
jokes but, there [appeared to be] some professional jealousy going on (Herbert 67).

Do you remember when you were a child you would play make believe or pretend.
When you would fly your toy plane in the air with your hand saying This is your

to operate to save them from a scrapped knee. One man actually fulfilled those
childhood fantasies. He goes by numerous names, (Frank Connors, Frank Adams, and
Frank Williams); however, when he wasn t playing pretend he is known as Frank
AbagnaleJr. In the book Catch Me if You Can: A True Story about a Real Fake he
reflects on the days he worked as an Airline Pilot, Physician, college teacher, and
even an Attorney. You may think of him as a genius, and you would probably be
correct, however he actually never went to college, in fact he never graduated High
School. To begin to understand who Frank Abagnale is we will start by looking at
what could be considered his four biggest cons, and then lastly talk about how he
turned his life around, started becoming a real person, and finally how he has an

Litster. Frank almost immediately had a huge impact on how the checks in that
bank were handled, for example he had the bank use something called Positive Pay
which is a check matching service, which stops almost all altered checks from being
cashed. And he also wanted the bank customers use high security checks. However
they did not exist at the time, so Abagnale and Litster designed the first true high
security check called the SAFECheck. Over the next three years fraud dropped in that
bank by 95%. Says Safechecks.com. Visa later combined with SAFECheck, says

46. Long Term Care Insurance Essay
Today, world s population is aging at a very fast pace and United States is no
exception to this demographic change. According to the U.S Census Bureau,
senior citizens will be accounted for 21% of the American population in 2050
(Older Americans, 2012). Although living longer lives may not seem like a
negative sign, living longer does not necessarily mean living healthier. Older
adults of today are in need of long term and health care services more than any
generation before them (Older Americans, 2012). Because of the growing need for
senior care, millions of families are facing critical decisions on how to provide care
for their parents. In addition, declining birthrates may cause people to have less
familial care and support as they... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Government funded long term care insurance program can provide care services
such as; bathing, dressing, eating, transferring, toileting, and continence for seniors.
It also can help senior citizens to protect their financial assets as well as providing
financial and emotional support for the family members. In addition, long term
insurance program would ensure older adults to receive quality care, and they would
have the freedom to decide where and when to get the care services.
The long term care insurance program can be designed as a pay as you go system
similar to the one that is established by Japan and financed by a combination of both
contributions and general tax revenues (Jones, 2009). A payment system which can
be a combination of payroll taxes and beneficiary premiums can be used to finance
the program. All workers would be paying a contribution into the program divided
equally between employers and employees on top of their health insurance payroll tax
(Jones, 2009). By mandating the long term care program to all workers, financial
feasibility of the system can be made sustainable. In addition, those who are 50 and
older would pay an income based monthly premium, which can help to cover a
percentage of the program s cost. The payroll contribution and the premium finance
together significant percentage of the program s costs would be covered (Campbell
Ikegami, 2000). In addition, users of long term care
