A NOVEL BINNING AND INDEXING APPROACH USING HAND GEOMETRY AND PALM PRINT TO E...ijcsa
This paper proposes a Bio metric identification system for person identification using two bio metric traits
hand geometry and palm print. The hand image captured from digital camera is preprocessed to identify
key points on palm region of hand. Identified key points are used to find hand geometry feature and palm
print Region of interest (ROI). The discriminative palm print features are extracted by applying local
binary descriptor on palm print ROI. In a bio metric identification system the identity corresponding to the
input image (probe) is determined by comparing probe template with the templates of all identities enrolled
in biometric system (gallery). Response time to establish the identity of an individual increases in proportion to the number of enrollees. One way to reduce the response time is to retrieve a smaller set of candidate identity templates from the database for explicit comparison. In this paper we propose a coarseto-fine hierarchical approach to retrieve a smaller set of candidate identities called as candidate set to reduce the response time. The proposed approach is tested on the database collected at our institute.Proposed approach is of significance since hand geometry and palm print features can be extracted from the palm region of the hand. Also performance of identification system is enhanced by reducing the response time without compromising the identification accuracy.

As we know the fingerprint is unique of every living objects. It is quite difficult to find out the prints.
Usually the Forensics use Fine powder and duct tapes to identify the prints of living object. As powder is
exceptionally muddled, so such molecule can cause loss of information after that examination the information is
coordinated with the system. The proposed system consists of an embedded device in which it consists of ultra
light to glow the fingerprints details. After that we can detect the fingerprint, analysis and it will checks on the
database, and it will return the output after matching. For matching and analysis of the Fingerprint, we will be
using the Algorithm for matching.
Highly Secured Bio-Metric Authentication Model with Palm Print IdentificationIJERA Editor
For securing personal identifications and highly secure identification problems, biometric technologies will
provide higher security with improved accuracy. This has become an emerging technology in recent years due to
the transaction frauds, security breaches and personal identification etc. The beauty of biometric technology is it
provides a unique code for each person and it can’t be copied or forged by others. To overcome the draw backs
of finger print identification systems, here in this paper we proposed a palm print based personal identification
system, which is a most promising and emerging research area in biometric identification systems due to its
uniqueness, scalability, faster execution speed and large area for extracting the features. It provides higher
security over finger print biometric systems with its rich features like wrinkles, continuous ridges, principal
lines, minutiae points, and singular points. The main aim of proposed palm print identification system is to
implement a system with higher accuracy and increased speed in identifying the palm prints of several users.
Here, in this we presented a highly secured palm print identification system with extraction of region of interest
(ROI) with morphological operation there by applying un-decimated bi-orthogonal wavelet (UDBW) transform
to extract the low level features of registered palm prints to calculate its feature vectors (FV) then after the
comparison is done by measuring the distance between registered palm feature vector and testing palm print
feature vector. Simulation results show that the proposed biometric identification system provides more
accuracy and reliable recognition rate
Palm print recognition based on harmony search algorithm IJECEIAES
Due to its stabilized and distinctive properties, the palmprint is considered a physiological biometric. Recently, palm print recognition has become one of the foremost desired identification methods. This manuscript presents a new recognition palm print scheme based on a harmony search algorithm by computing the Gaussian distribution. The first step in this scheme is preprocessing, which comprises the segmentation, according to the characteristics of the geometric shape of palmprint, the region of interest (ROI) of palmprint was cut off. After the processing of the ROI image is taken as input related to the harmony search algorithm for extracting the features of the palmprint images through using many parameters for the harmony search algorithm, Finally, Gaussian distribution has been used for computing distance between features for region palm print images, in order to recognize the palm print images for persons by training and testing a set of images, The scheme which has been proposed using palmprint databases, was provided by College of Engineering Pune (COEP), the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (HKPU), Experimental results have shown the effectiveness of the suggested recognition system for palm print with regards to the rate of recognition that reached approximately 92.60%.
A Fast and Accurate Palmprint Identification System based on Consistency Orie...IJTET Journal
Abstract — A palmprint identification system is a relatively most promising physiological biometric approach to identify the person. The numbers of palmprint recognition based biometric system have been successfully applied for real world access to control applications. A typical palmprint identification system identifies a query palmprint and matching it with the template stored in the database and comparing the similarity score with a pre-defined threshold. The Consistency Orientation Pattern (COP) hashing method is implemented in this work to enforce the fast search and to obtain the accurate result. Orientation pattern (OP) is defined as a collection of orientation features at arbitrary positions. The principal palm line is a kind of evident and stable features in palmprint images, and the orientation features in this region are expected to be more consistent than others. Using the orientation and response features extracted by steerable filter and gives an analysis on the consistency of orientation features, and then introduces a method to construct COP using the consistent features. Those features can be used as the indexes to the target template. Because the COP is very stable across the samples of the same subject, the COP hashing method can find the target template quickly. This method can lead to early termination of the searching process.
Intrinsic biometric, nowadays, has become a trend
in research on human identification due to some disadvantages of
the extrinsic biometric features. Extrinsic biometric features are
easily imitated and lost as they are located outside the human
body and are easy to change due to accidents. Therefore, in this
paper we focus on a method which can extract a feature from an
image of intrinsic biometric. Moreover, we use palm skin vein as
the intrinsic biometric feature for human recognition application.
The feature of an image can be extracted by using a specific
method, such as Local binary pattern (LBP), which has been
commonly used in many research works. A modified LBP, called
cross-LBP (DVHLBP), has been proposed in our previous paper.
DVHLBP has better performance compared with the
conventional LBP. In this paper, we further optimize the
DVHLBP method. In this paper, DVHLBP is used as the
extraction feature algorithm on palm vein and histogram
intersection is used for the matching process. In the simulation,
the ratio of data model to data testing was 5:5. Testing was done
by applying some scenarios. The optimization is done by
examining the number of regions that yield the optimal threshold
value. The optimal configuration is achieved when we use 8
neighborhood pixels with radius of 12, 16 regions. Simulation
results show that the false accepted rate (FAR) and false rejected
rate (FRR) are 0.01 and 0.01, respectively, with recognition rate
of 99%. In addition, we show that the optimized DVHLBP has
improvement in the accuracy and equal error rate (EER).
A Novel Framework For Numerical Character Recognition With Zoning Distance Fe...IJERD Editor
Advancements of Computer technology has made every organization to implement the automatic processing systems for its activities. One of the examples is the recognition of handwritten characters, which has always been a challenging task in image processing and pattern recognition. In this paper we propose Zone based features for recognition of the handwritten characters. In this zoning approach a digit image is divided into 8x8 zones and centre pixel is computed for each zone. This procedure is sequentially repeated for entire zone. Finally features are extracted for classification and recognition.
A hybrid learning scheme towards authenticating hand-geometry using multi-mo...IJECEIAES
Usage of hand geometry towards biometric-based authentication mechanism has been commercially practiced since last decade. However, there is a rising security problem being surfaced owing to the fluctuating features of hand-geometry during authentication mechanism. Review of existing research techniques exhibits the usage of singular features of hand-geometric along with sophisticated learning schemes where accuracy is accomplished at the higher cost of computational effort. Hence, the proposed study introduces a simplified analytical method which considers multi-modal features extracted from hand geometry which could further improve upon robust recognition system. For this purpose, the system considers implementing hybrid learning scheme using convolution neural network and Siamese algorithm where the former is used for feature extraction and latter is used for recognition of person on the basis of authenticated hand geometry. The main results show that proposed scheme offers 12.2% of improvement in accuracy compared to existing models exhibiting that with simpler amendment by inclusion of multi-modalities, accuracy can be significantly improve without computational burden.

There is no way to track the articles till they are received and there is no way to let the customer know what happened in transit, once he booked some articles. In such a situation, we need a system which completely computerizes the cargo activities including time to time tracking of the articles sent. This need is fulfilled by Courier Management System software which is online software for the cargo management people that enables them to receive the goods from a source and send them to a required destination and track their status from time to time.

CFD Simulation of By-pass Flow in a HRSG module by R&R Consult.pptxR&R Consult
CFD analysis is incredibly effective at solving mysteries and improving the performance of complex systems!
Here's a great example: At a large natural gas-fired power plant, where they use waste heat to generate steam and energy, they were puzzled that their boiler wasn't producing as much steam as expected.
R&R and Tetra Engineering Group Inc. were asked to solve the issue with reduced steam production.
An inspection had shown that a significant amount of hot flue gas was bypassing the boiler tubes, where the heat was supposed to be transferred.
R&R Consult conducted a CFD analysis, which revealed that 6.3% of the flue gas was bypassing the boiler tubes without transferring heat. The analysis also showed that the flue gas was instead being directed along the sides of the boiler and between the modules that were supposed to capture the heat. This was the cause of the reduced performance.
Based on our results, Tetra Engineering installed covering plates to reduce the bypass flow. This improved the boiler's performance and increased electricity production.
It is always satisfying when we can help solve complex challenges like this. Do your systems also need a check-up or optimization? Give us a call!

1. Combining Left and Right Palmprint Images for More
Accurate Personal Identification
ABSTRACT:
Multibiometrics can provide higher identification accuracy than single biometrics,
so it is more suitable for some real-world personal identification applications that
need high-standard security. Among various biometrics technologies, palmprint
identification has received much attention because of its good performance.
Combining the left and right palmprint images to perform multibiometrics is easy
to implement and can obtain better results. However, previous studies did not
explore this issue in depth. In this paper, we proposed a novel framework to
perform multibiometrics by comprehensively combining the left and right
palmprint images. This framework integrated three kinds of scores generated from
the left and right palmprint images to perform matching score-level fusion. The
first two kinds of scores were, respectively, generated from the left and right
palmprint images and can be obtained by any palmprint identification method,
whereas the third kind of score was obtained using a specialized algorithm
proposed in this paper. As the proposed algorithm carefully takes the nature of the
left and right palmprint images into account, it can properly exploit the similarity
of the left and right palmprints of the same subject. Moreover, the proposed
2. weighted fusion scheme allowed perfect identification performance to be obtained
in comparison with previous palmprint identification methods.
EXISTING SYSTEM:
PALMPRINT identification is an important personal iden-tification
technology and it has attracted much attention. The palmprint contains not
only principle curves and wrinkles but also rich texture and miniscule points,
so the palmprint identification is able to achieve a high accuracy because of
available rich information in palmprint .
Various palmprint identification methods, such as coding based methods and
principle curve methods have been proposed in past decades. In recent
years, 2D appearance based methods such as 2D Principal Component
Analysis (2DPCA) , 2D Linear Discriminant Analysis (2DLDA) , and 2D
Locality Preserving Projection (2DLPP) have also been used for palmprint
recognition.
DISADVANTAGES OF EXISTING SYSTEM:
No single biometric technique can meet all requirements in circumstances .
The limitation of the existing system is unimodal biometric technique and
have less perfomance.
3. Processing time is high.
PROPOSED SYSTEM:
In this paper, we propose a novel framework of combining the left with right
palmprint at the matching score level. Fig. 1 shows the procedure of the
proposed framework. In the framework, three types of matching scores,
which are respectively obtained by the left palmprint matching, right
palmprint matching and crossing matching between the left query and right
training palmprint, are fused to make the final decision.
The framework not only combines the left and right palmprint images for
identification, but also properly exploits the similarity between the left and
right palmprint of the same subject. Extensive experiments show that the
proposed framework can integrate most conventional palmprint
identification methods for per-forming identification and can achieve higher
accuracy than conventional methods.
This work has the following notable contributions.:
First, it for the first time shows that the left and right palmprint of the same
subject are somewhat correlated, and it demonstrates the feasibility of
4. exploiting the crossing matching score of the left and right palmprint for
improving the accuracy of identity identification.
Second, it proposes an elaborated framework to integrate the left palmprint,
right palmprint, and crossing matching of the left and right palmprint for
identity identification. Third, it conducts extensive experiments on both
touch-based and contactless palmprint databases to verify the proposed
framework.
ADVANTAGES OF PROPOSED SYSTEM:
The left and right palmprint images of the same subject are somewhat
similar. The use of this kind of similarity for the performance improvement
of palm-print identification.
Very high accuracy.
