The Patient Protection Affordable Care Act is Good for...
Like Benjamin Franklin once said, Words may show a man s wit, but actions his meaning , this is what
America is expecting from president Obama. Most people believe that the Patient Protection
Affordable Care Act (PPACA) violates the United States Constitution, and it should be eradicated.
This law was implemented to help people acquire affordable health insurance; therefore, it is
important to the people whom have preexisting conditions, and the American government is
confronting medical legal and ethical issues like elective abortion. President Obama s intention to
provide affordable health insurance for all U.S. citizens is a noble act. However, there are mixed
reactions in reference to this law in part of the citizens provided that ... Show more content on

This act gives the American people rights and benefits. For example: it will provide health coverage to
adults and children with preexisting conditions, it will end lifetime and annual limits on health care
policies, it will allow adults under the age of twenty six to be carried by their parent s health
insurance, and it will provide preventive service access without cost.
The intentions of the PPACA are to provide coverage to uninsured people, to lower health care cost, to
have a better system in order to stop fraud, and to stop health insurance companies to deny coverage
due to pre existing medical conditions. Richard Sorian, Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs says,
Since of the launch of the Health Care Fraud Prevention and Enforcement Action Team (HEAT) task
force in 2009, over 670 defendants have been charged for attempting to defraud Medicare of more
than $1.3 billion taxpayer dollars. And we are continuing to use our resources to stop each instance of
health care fraud before payments are sent out the door (June 2011, Para. 1, 2) . In order for this
process to be successful we need to do our part to stop criminals. For example: we need to protect our
Medicare and Social Security number, do not divulge Medicare number for medical equipment or
services not needed, and do not let other borrow Medicare ID card. The most common type of fraud is
medical equipment especially in

Disability Discrimination In The Workplace
Over the years, the workplace has experienced several instances of discrimination. In attempt to stop
the discrimination, Title VII was passed. Although Title VII helped employers in terms of race, color,
gender, religion and national origin, those who had disabilities continued to face the frustration of
disability barriers in the workplace, given disability was not one of the listed protected classes.
Employers abstained from hiring the disabled in fear of them not being able to perform at the same
level as the other employees or the attitudes of such employees towards the disabled workers. Of
course, there was some legal protection against discrimination: The Vocational Rehabilitation Act of
1973, but this law only applied to employees ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, other labor laws prohibiting employment discrimination based on disability such as Section
503, among others, are enforced or administered by the DOL. Under Title I of the Americans with
Disabilities Act, employers with fifteen or more employees are prohibited from discriminating against
people with disabilities. Furthermore, the employment provisions of the Act require that employers
provide equal opportunity in selecting, testing, and hiring qualified applicants with disabilities, job
accommodations for applicants and workers with disabilities when such would not impose due
hardship, and equal opportunity in promotion and benefits. (United States Department of Labor). If an
employer is found liable for such discrimination, the fines can be extremely high. Therefore, it is
important to know the definition of disability as determined by the ADA. A disability is a physical or
mental impairment that essentially limits one or more of the major life activities of an individual, a
record of having such impairment, or being regarded as having such impairment (Bennett Alexander
and Hartman) and the individual should be able to prove such factors to establish a prima facie case in
court. Despite of these definitions, a disability is determined based on the effect the impairment

Hitchcock s Film Adaptation Of The 39 Steps
The 39 Steps is a theatrical production based on John Buchan s 1915 novel and Alfred Hitchcock s
1935 film. Unlike the original source material, the production was designed for four actors to play
over a hundred characters in total. Overall, it was an incredibly successful performance which did not
fail to bring in a good story and laughs throughout.
The story is set in Britain during the 1930s and the stage production shows points to this in a few
ways. The most noticeable hints I found towards the time period was the costumes, which is what
tends to draw my eye a lot. Alfred Hitchcock s film adaptation of The 39 Steps was very much in the
film noir style. Black and white colour scheme, somewhat melodramatic acting, the whole lot. While
the theatre production is not completely in this style, it still makes some allusions towards Hitchcock s
film. For example, the acting is still very hammy and overdramatic (though not in a bad way by any
means) and the main protagonist does monologue about himself.
The production has only four actors to play all the characters, around ... Show more content on

She only played three characters (Annabella Schmidt, Pamela and Margaret) and not all of them were
on stage for that long. Her first role was killed off rather quickly, the next appeared briefly but then
returned during the second act, and the third only progress to a certain point before leaving. While
these three characters were distinct, made so by their different costumes and accents, it actually wasn t
that easy. When Pamela returned later in the play, it took me a good while to clue in that we had seen
her before. There was nothing instantly grabbing about that one role that made me instantly recognise
her so I thought it was simply a new character. Unlike Annabella or Margaret, Pamela didn t have a
noticeable German or Scottish accent and wasn t as melodramatic in her actions. In fact, Pamela had
so little impact on me that I completely forgot her

The Internet And Its Impact On The World
The internet is a vast place with information on every topic known to man, even the unnecessary ones
but only 0.03 percent (Jones 2014) of the internet is surfed by the majority of the population. The
other ninety nine point ninety seven percent is left untouched. That other large percentage is possible
to get to but companies like google, bing, and yahoo haven t cracked the code on how to do it but at
the same time choose not to incorporate that large percentage because they think it s too risky to do so.
This unchartered area for most is known by many names such as the darknet, invisible web, and
hidden web but most call it the deep web because of the ocean metaphor many tech savvy people use
to represent the internet and The Deep ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Now how sites become deep web material is anything from: requiring a password to getting in ,or
encrypted ,or the website is trying not to be found. Thats where programs like Tor come along or
otherwise known as the onion router because the process Tor uses is known as onion routing. Onion
routing is the idea that if someone wants to access a website they go from point A to B like on the
regular internet but since onion routing/Tor is built on anonymity they get from point A to B by adding
more points so on onion routing the user would go from point A to B to C to D to E to F or however
many it takes. How they do this is when a user sends a signal that they want to go to a website then
that signal will be encrypted and sent to a node or just another computer. When the signal gets to that
node a layer of the encryption will be solved and then sent to another node and the same thing will
happen till the signal reaches it s final destination. This process means that search times are a little
longer then normal but it is to insure that the user stays as undetectable as possible. Now Tor s system
is designed in a way that anyone can be a node if they wanted too, all that means is that traffic will go
through the users pc (Tor 2005).
The Deep Web gets a lot of bad reputation due to what resides in the depths. Because the Deep Web is
so difficult to navigate, it leads to many illegal things being stored

Charlemagne played a pivotal rule in western Europe after the collapse of the Roman empire. Europe
was going through a period of time known as the dark ages. This period is from the fall of Roman to

provided a turning point to this era and was able to slow down the cultural and political crumbling of

numerous resources (Charlemagne). One of Charlemagne s greatest resources was the church. His

Analysis Of Stephen Stills For What It s Worth
Event of the 60 s inspired Stephen Stills to write For What It s worth, the song then was released
months later by the group Buffalo Springfield according to the article Closing of club ignited the
Sunset strip club (Cecilia Rasmussen). The riot is also known as hippie riot. The reason it is
considered the hippie is that the protesters were young rock and roll fans, some were student and some
of them wore long hair. The reason behind the protest was that residents and business owners had
encouraged the passage of a 10 pm curfew. This is to reduce loitering and the traffic in that area. In
1966 there were a bunch of peaceful youthful protests going on in the Sunset Strip because of a club
getting shut down, and the police started beating them during one of the protests. This is usually
connected to the Vietnam War because it was made around the same era, and this song is very much
about peace and rebellion, which was the vibe during the Vietnam era. According to Rasmussen fliers
contained information about the protest were distributed earlier that day. And the protest began with
the protester blocking the traffic peacefully until a group of off duty marines showed up.
Even thou the song was inspired by the event previously mentioned. The song became one of the
protest song in the 60 s, the reason is that the lyrics of the song pretty much described the events that
took place in the 60 s and early 70 s. Due to the Vietnam War protest happened all over the country.

Research Paper On In Vitro Meat

TITLE:
IN VITRO MEAT
WHAT IS IN VITRO MEAT?
In vitro meat is an animal flesh product that does not bring harm to a developed, living animal in order
for it to be produced. Every year, 10 billion animals are killed (this number is increasing) in the US,
just to serve humans needs. Implementing In Vitro meat into people s lives will allow people to eat
healthier, save lives, and will reduce the emission of greenhouse gasses. In theory, a single cell of an
animal can be enough to feed the whole population of the world with meat. Earth s population is
predicted to rise to approximately 9 billion, thus finding a sustainable system to today s meat
production is critical.
INTRODUCING THE PROBLEM:
Currently there are 7 billion mouths to feed worldwide, and that number will only increase to 9 billion
by 2050. As a result, the demand for meat is expected to grow by more than two thirds, which means
we will need to produce 70% more meat on the same amount of land currently being cultivated and
harvested for food production. 26% of Earth s ice free surface alone is used just for grazing livestock.
Traditional means of producing meat for human consumption suffer from inefficiency. On average,
animal protein production in the U.S. requires 28 calories of feed for every calorie of meat produced,

Comparison Of Amazon And Ebay s Business Model

Amazon and Ebay are two well known brands of online shopping sites. They have evolved and grown

Amazon intended to benefit from cross selling on the basis that it already has a loyal installed base in
place. (Krishnamurthy, 2004) Amazon also benefited from economies of scope as its basic
infrastructure is already in place and highly scalable.
Three building blocks complement this: Amazon s feedback system, recommendation system and its
buy/sell system. Its recommendation system accounts for 35% of Amazon s sales as customers are
more inclined to buy a product based on the strength of the reviews of other customers. It also brought
repeated purchasers that account for 66% of sales. (Salehnejad, 2012)
Also, Amazon has emphasized on building several distribution centers around the world to hasten
deliveries (Hof and Himelstein, 1999). Coupled with its software it provides a laser like focus on the
buying experience (IT Business Edge, 2012). Such a system and service is what draws customers
towards Amazon and subsequently retains them.
In 1999, Amazon became a merchant platform by introducing zShop, a new service that allows anyone
to sell merchandise through its website . (Moore, 1999) It not only creates extra revenue from the
$9.99 monthly subscription fee from sellers but also 60 cents per transaction for payments made with
1 Click, as well as 4.75 percent of the final sale . (Moore, 1999)
The draw for small to medium business to subscribe to Amazon s zShops would be Amazon s huge

Nihilism in Crime and Punishment Essay
Themes of Nihilism in Crime and Punishment Nihilism is one of the most difficult philosophies to
accurately define because of its ambiguous nature. In its simplest form, one might consider it an
extremely pessimistic form of skepticism in which the individual discounts even the idea of existence.
Therefore, to a nihilist, all values, relationships, authority, beliefs, and emotions are baseless and
empty. First popularized in Ivan Turgenev s Fathers and Sons in 1862, nihilism is associated with a
revolutionary movement that occurred in Russia from 1814 to 1876. The principles of nihilism often
can be linked with those of utilitarianism, existentialism, and anarchism. Dostoevsky demonstrates his
aversion to this philosophy through ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Throughout the story we are shown that he is not above the emotions and guilt that are the basic
human reactions to an action as extreme as murder. His downfall comes because of this very fact, as
he mentally and physically deteriorates under the stress of his culpability. His arrogance is proven to
be the unfounded and foolhardy ideas of one who is truly a deeply insecure and unstable person
(though Raskolnikov never truly realizes this).
Through Raskolnikov s exemplification of the impracticality of this principle, Dostoevsky makes his
greatest point in Crime and Punishment. His commentary on the subject seeks to discredit the theory
in the circumstance of an individual superman by displaying Raskolnikov as a character who is
difficult for readers to identify with because of his inanity. Even Raskolnikov s name is a symbol of
nihilistic ideas, the word raskol meaning schism in Russian, illustrating the shift from an older school
of thought (social utopianism) to a darker philosophy: nihilism and utilitarianism. Raskolnikov seems
to fluctuate back and forth between the two philosophies, acting on one and then mentally chastising
himself for it, immediately and almost erratically changing his mind. This symbolizes the more human
side of him struggling

History Of Agroecology Vs. Industrial Farming
In this paper I will argue that the natural=good idea provides good guidance for other environmental
issues, other than GM products and ecosystem management, by utilizing the example of Agroecology
vs. Industrial farming. Natural can be defined as anything that has been produced by nature and not
made or altered by humankind in any way. The natural=good idea argues that anything that is
produced, preserved, protected, and so on, in natural ways or with naturally occurring products is the
better alternative to something that was done artificially or human made. The natural=good idea can
be used when arguing in favor of Agroecology over Industrial farming, because Agroecology is
natural, more sustainable and overall healthier for the environment than Industrial farming. The
natural=good idea guides some people s thinking when looking over environmental policies and
ethics. The idea is that natural, regularly occurring things and processes in nature, unaltered by man,
are good and should be used. The opposition is that man made and unnatural processes, products, etc.
are therefore bad because they are not naturally occurring. Helena Siipi shows this idea that
natural=good when discussing her ideas for ecosystem management strategies. She states that there
are three management methods, preservation, restoration, and engineering. Preservation is not
modifying the ecosystems, areas, or objects but rather simply protecting them. Restoration is to alter

Meaning of Edgar Allan Poe s The Raven Essay
Edgar Allan Poe s The Raven employs a raven itself as a symbol of the torture, mainly the self
inflicted torture, of the narrator over his lost love, Lenore.
The raven, it can be argued, is possibly a figment of the imagination of the narrator, obviously
distraught over the death of Lenore. The narrator claims in the first stanza that he is weak and weary
(731). He is almost napping as he hears the rapping at the door, which could quite possibly make the
sound something he heard in a near dream like state, not an actual sound.
He is terrified of being alone in the chamber he is in when the poem takes place. The sad, uncertain
rustling of each purple curtain thrilled me filled me with fantastic terrors never felt before ... Show

The raven also symbolizes the torture the narrator has inflicted upon himself due to the death of
Lenore, a rare and radiant maiden?nameless here forever more (731). The raven s refusal to answer
any question asked of him with an answer other than nevermore only tortures the narrator even more.
The narrator is as much saddened by the arrival of the raven, as he is disturbed. He says, on the
morrow he will leave me, as my hopes have flown before (732). He is still recovering from the
sadness of the loss of Lenore and in this raven he may find comfort for a while, but the raven will only
be gone in the morning, just like everything else.
The narrator can anticipate the answers of the raven, knowing that the only word it speaks is
nevermore , and tortures himself even more by asking certain questions to which the answer
nevermore would devastate him. He asks if there is balm in Gilead. He even goes so far as to ask the
raven if Lenore is in Paradise within the distant Aidenn, it shall clasp a sainted maiden whom the
angels name Lenore (733). The answer nevermore sends the narrator into a rage. He calls the raven a
prophet , but cannot place if it is a prophet of evil or of good.
The narrator mentions that the raven lands on a bust of Pallas Pallas Athena who, according to Roman
and Greek myth, was the goddess of wisdom. The narrator can consider that a Freudian slip of sorts;
that the raven speaks the truth because it

The Theme Of Death In Disney Movies
The Circle of life The Lion King was definitely not the first Disney movies to contain death, but it was
the first to have a central theme around it. Children still sing The Circle of Life on repeat, however
back they never really think about the meaning behind the song, it was just another catchy Disney
song to a six year old. In this classic song people are taught about the fundamentals of death and how
its just one big circle. Death is a necessary part of life, world religions revolve around it, and it drives
people to accomplish more in life. One of the most common appearances of the topic death is in
religion. Holy books such as the Bible, the Vedas, and the Tripitaka, show many different views on

One of the first reasons death is so important is because without death earth would have reached its
carrying capacity along time ago. Alan Watts a famous british philosopher once said If one person
dies, it is in a way honorable, because he s making room for others ( ). Watt s said that dying was
honorable which is very true. Through death current generations are leaving room for the next
generation and their contributions to the world. Improving the world is one of the main goals of
humans and many find comfort in knowing, as Jeffrey Kluger wrote in his Time Magazine Article,
that the world you re exiting is at least a bit richer than the one you found when you arrived ( ). One of
the most fulfilling things for a person to know before they die is that they have had some sort of
impact on the world around them, whether it be through the environment, animals, or the people
around them, it helps people feel like their death was more meaningful if they know they left a legacy
behind. Alan Watts once said that death is the source of life. We see this when the leaves fall from the
trees and they mold and wrot creating humus from which more plants can grow ( ). All around things

to become independent , an older ideal of womanhood has been weakened: that of the woman as
housewife. (b). Getting well education is seen as an escape from the country s confines a chance to
make one s fortune independently. (c). It s as if young women can only come in two types, with one
going through higher education, off to save the world, and the other staying at home, with a perceived
lack of academic ability or potential. â‘¡ People have the solid idea, which is working women=high
educated=better contribution to society, (a). People pay more attention to women who have a higher
level education because they think those women contribute to our society. (b). In contrast, according
to the survey, 7 key findings about stay at home moms last updated on April 8, 2014 on the website,
PewResearch center, shows that Stay at home mothers are younger, poorer and less educated than their
working counterparts. Those labels show and make people think housewives are lake of ability, so that
they don t give enough respect to them.

Pike s Gold Rush
story of why a United States Mint facility was needed in Denver goes back to about 1850, when some

and Joe falls through the ice and freezes to death. Buck had to beat Spitz physically and Sol leks

Charles and Hal are pretty much the same except Charles is more passive than Hal. Mercedes is the
only female character in the story and in my opinion is very pampered. Buck was stolen from his
home in California and forced into dog slavery. This mean that Buck must now pull a heavy sled for
thousands of miles across the country to get to the destination of the leader of the dog pack, Dawson.
Buck was very shy at the beginning because he had never done anything in that state of work before.
Buck was beginning to have dreams about the primitive. Buck became involved in a rivalry between

every student should receive the learning in the same way, but this is unjust for students have

Essay on Child Development and The Ecological Theory
Bronfenbrenner s (1977, 1979, 1989, 1993, 1994) ecological theory suggested that child (human)
development occurs for the child within the context of various environments. These environments, or
systems, are influenced from within and between other environments. The individuals within each
system influence each other through various transactions that occur between them. In ecological
theory, these systems are nested with the child at the core, embedded within his/her immediate family
environment. The system with the closest proximity to the child is the microsystem; this includes the
child and family, peers, neighborhood and school. A critical impact on development occurs within the
immediate environment of the child due to proximal ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Chronosystem represents change or consistency over time; transitions and events that occur over the
life span such global war or etting married. Changes over the life course are represented as the
chronosystem. Belsky (1988, 1993) shared Bronfenbrenner s belief that development occurs within
various environmental contexts, or systems. He explored specifically the issue of child maltreatment
from an ecological model. Belsky (1988) conceptualized the etiology of child maltreatment as
occurring from four contexts: the individual (ontogenic development), the family (microsystem), the
community (exosystem), and the culture (macrosystem). The child was positioned at the core of this
model. In keeping with evolving understanding of child maltreatment from research and clinical
experience, Belsky (1993) expanded this ecological perspective and introduced a developmental
ecological analysis of child maltreatment. This approach included the developmental context , the
immediate interactional context , and the broader context . Belsky made a distinction stating that
aspects within the child, innate and or biological, play a role in the child s experience of maltreatment
and developmental dysfunction. These include aspects such as the child s age, health and behaviors.
Belsky further determined that parent child interaction was a key factor related to child maltreatment
and occurred within the immediate interactional context. Concurrently, community,

The Political Interest Of Madagascar
Madagascar has always been of great political interest to many countries and governments. It seems a
suitable island that is out of the way, but it is in the centre of everything at the same time. People are
very unsuspecting of it, and it was the same in World War 2 as well...
The Germans and the rest of the Axis had very good reasons for wanting to control Madagascar. The
first is that they were going to use this remote island as a place to deport some of the remaining 10,000
Jewish refugees still in France that had not been able to find a home in South Africa or Brazil. The
French were not the only ones suffering though; the Polish and the Germans really need to get the
Jews out as well. However like many of the other Nazi ideologies, it was not a new one. A lot of
British, Polish and Dutch anti Semites had been considering the idea to move the Jews there since as
early as 1878.
Luckily for Nazis, Madagascar was under the control and within the empire of Vichy France (the part
of France that had surrendered to Hitler), and according to the surrender terms, France had to let the
Germans into Madagascar as well. It was going to be easy. Not only would it get rid of the Jews, but it
would also help the Axis financially as the Jews were currently surviving on charity. In May 1936,
there was a new French administration voted in, and there was serious talk of the Jews being moved
there, and they even went as far as to investigate the island to check if it was liable for that

Case Study Of Logistics At Ambuja Cement
Over the years ACC has reported an average capacity consumption rate of 86%, and Ambuja s average
utilisation pace stands high at 93%. During certain years, Ambuja Cements somehow managed to
produce even more than their total installed capacity. So the company has not only added their
capacity at a rapid, swift, pace, but has also attained high utilisation rates throughout most of its
operations. This shows the top level of efficiency in Ambuja Cement s operations.
Logistics at Ambuja Cement
Inbound logistics today is highly inefficient. Most retailers use multiple systems to manage the
process and so suffer from fragmented visibility. Prioritisation and scheduling of orders are done on an
ad hoc basis, with little consideration of current demand and inventory, while scarce resources, such as
dock door and yard capacity, are often poorly utilised.

The costs of key inputs coal, power and transport by rail or road are spiraling year on year. The coal is
of poor quality, with high ash and low calorific value content. There is need to introduce competition
for improving quality, regularity in supply and reduced prices. The power from public utilities is of
poor quality due to frequent power cuts and fluctuating voltage.
Transport by rail or road is a cost intensive component and amounts to almost 15 20 per cent of the
delivered cost to the consumers. The railway tariff is high and need to be rationalised for an essential
product like cement. Road transport on the other hand, provides limited alternative because of
inadequacy of road network and rising cost of road transport due to continuously rising fuel cost.
Inland water transport is eco friendly and cheap mode especially for bulk commodities like cement.
Coastal shipping and inland waterways will help in bringing down the transportation cost.

The Execution of Death Penalty
The Death Penalty Introduction As of 2010, thirty four States have some form of Death Penalty, while
twelve States plus the District of Columbia have no Death Penalty. The number of Death Penalty
executions from 1977 2010 by color coded States follows: (Death Penalty Information Center, 2012).
The basic dispute involving the Death Penalty is whether or not it should be abolished. This dispute
has raged for decades in the United States and people on both sides of the debate appear to be equally
passionate. Anti Death Penalty individuals propose numerous arguments for banning the Death
Penalty; this paper will address three of them: some innocent people are sentenced to death; the Death
Penalty is administered arbitrarily; and the Death Penalty is not a deterrent. After presenting those
three anti Death Penalty arguments, the pro Death Penalty responses will be examined. Anti Death
Penalty Arguments One argument against the Death Penalty is that innocent people are wrongfully
convicted and sentenced to death. While the Innocence Project, associated with the Benjamin N.
Cardozo School of Law, was not established to abolish the Death Penalty, many of its findings support
the innocent convict argument. The Innocence Project maintains that people have been wrongfully
convicted due to: eyewitness misidentification; invalidated or improper forensics; false
confessions/admissions; forensic science misconduct; government misconduct; informants; and bad

Why Is Catcher In The Rye Still Relevant Today
Old School Versus New School The Catcher in The Rye is a book written by J.D. Salinger and is
widely debated whether the book is still relevant to people today. The story is based in the 1950 s
about a boy who struggles to fit in and to understand human nature in a quest he pursues to find
himself and his place in this world. The Catcher In The Rye is still relevant to people today because
the emotions people felt back then are exactly the same today, many people still struggle to find
themselves, and although the times have changed, many people still act and have the same necessities
as before. The book is is relevant very relevant as people experience the same emotions as Holden did.

Kids can relate to the book more than ever because the emotions and hardships Holden goes through
are almost exactly like the ones kids face today. The book can connect to every student that reads it
and those have can support that the book is, as universal as it is timeless (Maliabadi). The book is
universal because its themes are universal, everyone can connect and find some sort of emotional
attachment to Holden and his journey. Many people sympathize with him because in some way they
have suffered as he has, everyone has lost someone or something, or eventually will, just like Holden.
Many people may argue that the book is clearly outdated as kids are a lot more driven while back in
the day kids weren t as pressured to succeed, Teenagers are more interested in Harvard than flunking
high school (Schuessler, Jennifer). Kids seem to be a lot more school oriented as well as more inclined
to strive for success than kids were 40 years ago. Many kids these days are studying hours every day
and Holden has found himself flunked out of almost every school he has attended. The book is
outdated because a lot of kids can t relate with holden s inability to succeed and that is a turnoff for a
book these days. However People still have the same goals and deeper meaning which allows readers
to really connect to Holden. since Holden s times as a teen it still is very human, and sometimes only
human to experience the, rebellious search to understand human nature and himself (Clay,J). This
quest is so important very everyone to pursue and Holden never really figured it out a his whole idea
of the catcher in the rye was debunked. It is normal for those who are lost, to inquire about life itself
as it is still a mystery to so many people.

the iconic death mask typically does not have eye holes. The belief behind this is that the eye holes

The introduction should brief characterize PL... and set up argument elegantly.
Though Milton details Adam and Eve s falls separately, the fall in Paradise Lost is not two separate
falls, but one because Adam and Eve are not independent of each other. Rather Milton has them fall
physically apart to emphasize how connected they are, and in doing so, through the fall, he solidifies
Eve as a symbol of liberty and Adam as a symbol of reason, thus making significant comments on the
relationship between and the significance of the relationship between reason and liberty. In totality,
through the structural significance of the fall, Milton is not only able to justify the ways of God to
man, as stated in his thesis for Paradise Lost, but is able to justify the ways of man, legitimizing some
of his major assertions in his prose works such as Second Defense of the English People,
Areopagitica, and The Tenure of Kings and Magistrates.

CSC6360: Mobile App Development
29 November 2016
Software Engineering for Mobile Application Development: Challenges and Research In the recent
years we have seen rapid growth of applications of mobile devices popularly known as APPS . Recent
surveys show that there are enormous numbers of mobile application developers. Although there is a
growing trend of these mobile applications, very few make it to the top charts of the devices thereby
pushing the application developers to provide with high quality, and useful applications. Software
engineering comes in to picture here, thereby leading the development of the application through
different life cycle phases for good quality output. This paper presents the different challenges faced
by the developers such as (a) building good user interfaces(b) support for multiplatform (c) dealing
with uncertainities. (d) change according to the environment. For each of the above stated challenges
we provide the current trends and advances done, along with the challenges that are faced in
developing the application and also the future risks and availabilities for developing the project.

This law was implemented to help people acquire affordable health insurance; therefore, it is important to the people whom have preexisting conditions, and the American government is confronting medical legal and ethical issues like elective abortion. The intentions of the PPACA are to provide coverage to uninsured people, to lower health care cost, to have a better system in order to stop fraud, and to stop health insurance companies to deny coverage due to pre existing medical conditions. Richard Sorian, Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs says, Since of the launch of the Health Care Fraud Prevention and Enforcement Action Team (HEAT) task force in 2009, over 670 defendants have been charged for attempting to defraud Medicare of more than $1.3 billion taxpayer dollars. And we are continuing to use our resources to stop each instance of health care fraud before payments are sent out the door (June 2011, Para. 1, 2) . Although Title VII helped employers in terms of race, color, gender, religion and national origin, those who had disabilities continued to face the frustration of disability barriers in the workplace, given disability was not one of the listed protected classes. Employers abstained from hiring the disabled in fear of them not being able to perform at the same level as the other employees or the attitudes of such employees towards the disabled workers. Unlike the original source material, the production was designed for four actors to play over a hundred characters in total. Overall, it was an incredibly successful performance which did not fail to bring in a good story and laughs throughout. The story is set in Britain during the 1930s and the stage production shows points to this in a few ways. The most noticeable hints I found towards the time period was the costumes, which is what tends to draw my eye a lot. Alfred Hitchcock s film adaptation of The 39 Steps was very much in the film noir style. Black and white colour scheme, somewhat melodramatic acting, the whole lot. While the theatre production is not completely in this style, it still makes some allusions towards Hitchcock s film. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Now how sites become deep web material is anything from: requiring a password to getting in ,or encrypted ,or the website is trying not to be found. Thats where programs like Tor come along or otherwise known as the onion router because the process Tor uses is known as onion routing. Onion routing is the idea that if someone wants to access a website they go from point A to B like on the regular internet but since onion routing/Tor is built on anonymity they get from point A to B by adding more points so on onion routing the user would go from point A to B to C to D to E to F or however many it takes. How they do this is when a user sends a signal that they want to go to a website then that signal will be encrypted and sent to a node or just another computer. When the signal gets to that node a layer of the encryption will be solved and then sent to another node and the same thing will happen till the signal reaches it s final destination. This process means that search times are a little longer then normal but it is to insure that the user stays as undetectable as possible. Now Tor s system is designed in a way that anyone can be a node if they wanted too, all that means is that traffic will go through the users pc (Tor 2005). In vitro meat is an animal flesh product that does not bring harm to a developed, living animal in order for it to be produced. Every year, 10 billion animals are killed (this number is increasing) in the US, just to serve humans needs. Implementing In Vitro meat into people s lives will allow people to eat healthier, save lives, and will reduce the emission of greenhouse gasses. In theory, a single cell of an animal can be enough to feed the whole population of the world with meat. Earth s population is predicted to rise to approximately 9 billion, thus finding a sustainable system to today s meat production is critical. INTRODUCING THE PROBLEM: Currently there are 7 billion mouths to feed worldwide, and that number will only increase to 9 billion by 2050. As a result, the demand for meat is expected to grow by more than two thirds, which means we will need to produce 70% more meat on the same amount of land currently being cultivated and harvested for food production. 26% of Earth s ice free surface alone is used just for grazing livestock. In its simplest form, one might consider it an extremely pessimistic form of skepticism in which the individual discounts even the idea of existence. Therefore, to a nihilist, all values, relationships, authority, beliefs, and emotions are baseless and empty. First popularized in Ivan Turgenev s Fathers and Sons in 1862, nihilism is associated with a revolutionary movement that occurred in Russia from 1814 to 1876. Through Raskolnikov s exemplification of the impracticality of this principle, Dostoevsky makes his greatest point in Crime and Punishment. His commentary on the subject seeks to discredit the theory in the circumstance of an individual superman by displaying Raskolnikov as a character who is difficult for readers to identify with because of his inanity. Even Raskolnikov s name is a symbol of nihilistic ideas, the word raskol meaning schism in Russian, illustrating the shift from an older school of thought (social utopianism) to a darker philosophy: nihilism and utilitarianism. • 17. History Of Agroecology Vs. Industrial Farming In this paper I will argue that the natural=good idea provides good guidance for other environmental issues, other than GM products and ecosystem management, by utilizing the example of Agroecology vs. Industrial farming. Natural can be defined as anything that has been produced by nature and not made or altered by humankind in any way. The natural=good idea argues that anything that is produced, preserved, protected, and so on, in natural ways or with naturally occurring products is the better alternative to something that was done artificially or human made. The natural=good idea can be used when arguing in favor of Agroecology over Industrial farming, because Agroecology is natural, more sustainable and overall healthier for the environment than Industrial farming. The natural=good idea guides some people s thinking when looking over environmental policies and ethics. The idea is that natural, regularly occurring things and processes in nature, unaltered by man, are good and should be used. The opposition is that man made and unnatural processes, products, etc. are therefore bad because they are not naturally occurring. Helena Siipi shows this idea that natural=good when discussing her ideas for ecosystem management strategies. She states that there are three management methods, preservation, restoration, and engineering. Preservation is not modifying the ecosystems, areas, or objects but rather simply protecting them. The narrator claims in the first stanza that he is weak and weary (731). He is almost napping as he hears the rapping at the door, which could quite possibly make the sound something he heard in a near dream like state, not an actual sound. The narrator is as much saddened by the arrival of the raven, as he is disturbed. He says, on the morrow he will leave me, as my hopes have flown before (732). He is still recovering from the sadness of the loss of Lenore and in this raven he may find comfort for a while, but the raven will only be gone in the morning, just like everything else. The narrator can anticipate the answers of the raven, knowing that the only word it speaks is nevermore , and tortures himself even more by asking certain questions to which the answer nevermore would devastate him. He asks if there is balm in Gilead. He even goes so far as to ask the raven if Lenore is in Paradise within the distant Aidenn, it shall clasp a sainted maiden whom the angels name Lenore (733). The answer nevermore sends the narrator into a rage. He calls the raven a prophet , but cannot place if it is a prophet of evil or of good. Essay on Child Development and The Ecological Theory Bronfenbrenner s (1977, 1979, 1989, 1993, 1994) ecological theory suggested that child (human) development occurs for the child within the context of various environments. These environments, or systems, are influenced from within and between other environments. The individuals within each system influence each other through various transactions that occur between them. In ecological theory, these systems are nested with the child at the core, embedded within his/her immediate family environment. The system with the closest proximity to the child is the microsystem; this includes the child and family, peers, neighborhood and school. A critical impact on development occurs within the immediate environment of the child due to proximal ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Chronosystem represents change or consistency over time; transitions and events that occur over the life span such global war or etting married. Changes over the life course are represented as the chronosystem. Belsky (1988, 1993) shared Bronfenbrenner s belief that development occurs within various environmental contexts, or systems. He explored specifically the issue of child maltreatment from an ecological model. Belsky (1988) conceptualized the etiology of child maltreatment as occurring from four contexts: the individual (ontogenic development), the family (microsystem), the community (exosystem), and the culture (macrosystem). The child was positioned at the core of this model. In keeping with evolving understanding of child maltreatment from research and clinical experience, Belsky (1993) expanded this ecological perspective and introduced a developmental ecological analysis of child maltreatment. This approach included the developmental context , the immediate interactional context , and the broader context . Belsky made a distinction stating that aspects within the child, innate and or biological, play a role in the child s experience of maltreatment and developmental dysfunction. These include aspects such as the child s age, health and behaviors. Belsky further determined that parent child interaction was a key factor related to child maltreatment and occurred within the immediate interactional context. Concurrently, community, ... Some do not go to their schools but go to an internet cafe or their friends houses so as to play those online games. Now the further question is not only about Internet addiction but it is about negative impacts on those children, particularly violence in the online games. * VIOLENCE IN ONLINE GAME Children usually like to imitate what they see, so the Internet as medium can bring about violence to children as same as movies and television programs. It can be seen that Internet games can be a cause of violence because these games could invite players to engage with the action, disengage the critical faculties and take pleasure in the substitute experiences of gratuitous violence. According to Olivier (2000), Internet games send the following false messages to the players. The computer industry becomes more sophisticated in its productions. It seems a suitable island that is out of the way, but it is in the centre of everything at the same time. People are very unsuspecting of it, and it was the same in World War 2 as well... The Germans and the rest of the Axis had very good reasons for wanting to control Madagascar. The first is that they were going to use this remote island as a place to deport some of the remaining 10,000 Jewish refugees still in France that had not been able to find a home in South Africa or Brazil. The French were not the only ones suffering though; the Polish and the Germans really need to get the Jews out as well. However like many of the other Nazi ideologies, it was not a new one. A lot of British, Polish and Dutch anti Semites had been considering the idea to move the Jews there since as early as 1878. Luckily for Nazis, Madagascar was under the control and within the empire of Vichy France (the part of France that had surrendered to Hitler), and according to the surrender terms, France had to let the Germans into Madagascar as well. It was going to be easy. Not only would it get rid of the Jews, but it would also help the Axis financially as the Jews were currently surviving on charity. In May 1936, there was a new French administration voted in, and there was serious talk of the Jews being moved there, and they even went as far as to investigate the island to check if it was liable for that ... The number of Death Penalty executions from 1977 2010 by color coded States follows: (Death Penalty Information Center, 2012). The basic dispute involving the Death Penalty is whether or not it should be abolished. This dispute has raged for decades in the United States and people on both sides of the debate appear to be equally passionate. Anti Death Penalty individuals propose numerous arguments for banning the Death Penalty; this paper will address three of them: some innocent people are sentenced to death; the Death Penalty is administered arbitrarily; and the Death Penalty is not a deterrent. After presenting those three anti Death Penalty arguments, the pro Death Penalty responses will be examined. Anti Death Penalty Arguments One argument against the Death Penalty is that innocent people are wrongfully convicted and sentenced to death. While the Innocence Project, associated with the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, was not established to abolish the Death Penalty, many of its findings support the innocent convict argument. The Innocence Project maintains that people have been wrongfully convicted due to: eyewitness misidentification; invalidated or improper forensics; false confessions/admissions; forensic science misconduct; government misconduct; informants; and bad ...
