The document summarizes the three regions of colonies in British North America: New England Colonies, Middle Colonies, and Southern Colonies. It describes the important attributes and characteristics of each region. The New England Colonies relied on agriculture, fishing, and lumber. The Middle Colonies produced wheat and had religious diversity. The Southern Colonies focused on plantation agriculture using slave labor. The document also discusses how each region was affected by the triangular slave trade, Great Awakening religious revival, and ideas of the Enlightenment.

Important attributes/characteristics

lumber

business was the top one to be in.
• Fishing was first started (being exported) from
Boston it became a rapidly growing industry.
• Calvinism was the majority of the religious views in

then sold back to the New world and other places.
• Middle Colonies: The Middle colonies also had a good
place in the triangular trade considering they had
good ports that they could actively send goods from.
• Southern Colonies: The Southern colonies relied on the
Triangular Trade because that was the only way for
them to Access African Slaves to work the land.
10. Effects of the Great Awakening
• New England Colonies: Possibly the most
influenced by the Great Awakening were the
New England Colonies.
• Middle Colonies: The middle colonies had
religious freedom so they weren’t much affected
by the Great Awakening.

way until the Great awakening boosted their
spirits.
