the various perspectives surrounding the issue. This might include exploring the impact of
buying and selling college essays on academic integrity, potential consequences for students
caught engaging in such transactions, and the broader implications for educational institutions.
On the ethical front, the writer must grapple with the question of whether promoting or
discussing the sale of college essays is an endorsement of academic dishonesty. Crafting a
nuanced argument that considers different viewpoints while maintaining a balanced and
unbiased tone can be challenging. Moreover, exploring the potential harm caused by the
commodification of academic work requires a thoughtful and sensitive approach.

Essay On Radiator Hose Cut Day New Director
Radiator Hose Cut Day New Director Meets Department (March 2, 2017) 48. On
the way to work, to meet the new director, the car had overheated when getting off
the off ramp to work. I checked under the hood and I saw that the car had a clean
razor blade like cut in the radiator hose allowing air to get into the system. I had
electrical tape and silicone in the car at the time, and I used that to repair the hose
that was torn. Then I stopped at Harbor Freight to get hose clamps to tighten down
the hoses; so the air would not get in and it wouldn t leak. I have receipt of the hose
clamps I purchased there that day. I intended to notify my Supervisor through email
on my cell phone that I was having car trouble, and I would be there as... Show more

Why Teachers Should Have Guns
There was a fire in the science class room today. Luckily the teacher had fire
extinguishers in the class room which, stoped the fire in a few minutes. Should the
school call the fire department and do nothing causing people to get hurt? Or should
the teacher stop the fire? Of course the teacher should of stop the fire with a fire
extinguisher. By stopping the fire it did not get bigger worse and no one got hurt.
There was a kid brought a guninto school today and, pulled out during class.
Luckily the teacher had a gun in the class room which stopped the kid in a few
minutes. Should the school call the police department and, do nothing causing
people to get hurt? Or should the teacher of stop the shooter? Of course the teacher
should of stop the shooter. By stopping the shooter it did not get worse and no one
got hurt. Teachers should have guns in school to protect the students. Part of the
reason why teachers should have guns is what causes school shootings. What is
the cause school shootings? Who is to blame? Is it the broken homes, the lack of
god or, the fact that there is to many guns? Should we blame the government or
blame society or should we blame the images on TV? The thing to blame is fear.
Everyday America lives in fear of each other and everything. They fear each other
because of their skin, religion and where they live. A foot ball player from Missouris

Using The Personal Task Management Software On
Computers...
1.Background Rationale
In contemporary society, many people are overwhelmed by the number of tasks
that need to be accomplished [1], this tasks are of different types, ranging from
daily based such as meetings at work, and non daily based buying groceries after
work. To help ourselves to remember these tasks, basic practices are to take notes on
the paper based day planners or post it and to use the personal task management
software on computers and/or smartphones. As smartphones are used as an
alternatives to personal computers, taking notes on smartphones is getting more and
more popular [1].
Similar to programs on a personal computer, applications can downloaded and
installed on a smartphone. Similar to a personal computer there exists a wide
selection of proprietary and open source mobile operating system platforms, out of
these smartphone operating systems, the most prominent ones being Apples iOS,
Googles Android, Symbian from Symbian foundation, RIM blackberry OS and
Windows mobile from Microsoft [2].
This project focuses on developing a mobile application, Locale Reminder for
Google s Android operating system. Majority of smartphone manufacturers such as
Samsung, Motorola and HTC have adopted Android as operating system for their
products. As indicated by App Brain statistics, there are more than 1.4 million
applications accessible as of November 2014, of which more than 1.2 million are free
and more than 0.2 million are paid. On July 24, 2013 Google declared
Saml vs. Oath
While researching for this assignment, I came across a lot of good points about each
access control measure, along with some bad points. Each measure was implemented
with the best intentions for the user. The fact that it simplifies log on procedures is a
big factor. Security Assertion Markup Language is an XML based open standard for
exchanging authenticationand authorizationdata between security domains. Open
Authorization allows you to use a common username and passwordto access different

They could theoretically go into your Facebook account and change your
password, locking you out of it. That is a downside to OAUTH. It grants the
website certain permissions to post something on Facebook on your behalf. What
I mean by this is if you have your Yahoo account linked to Facebook and you read
an article, Yahoo will post something on Facebook saying you recently read a
certain article. Granted Yahoo gives you an option to show friends on Facebook
what you read or not, but websites such as SocialCam do not give you that option.
If you watch a video on SocialCam it will show on Facebook what you watched.
The reasons behind these actions are so friends will drive friends to read potential
stories and to drive people to the websites to gain more viewers. So they essentially
use your Facebook to further their website. Also websites can use recent trends
from your Facebook page to try to entice you with advertisements. The
advertisements may proclaim that friend of yours on Facebook uses a certain
product, or is interested in certain things that you may be interested in. Now which
one do I prefer? Personally they both have their downsides, but for ease of access I
actually prefer OAUTH. IT has its flaws, but so does any software or ease of access
program. Depending on how it is used, I would prefer to use it only to access certain
websites where I
Reflection About Suffering
Introduction
Christians know other Christians are prone to suffering. Non Christians I have
spoken to believe that Christians have a happy life. Non believers believe we do
not endure suffering simply because in their reality, God is personified as a genie;
Christians can simply pray for what they desire in life; examples including money,
power, wealth, and the Lord will grant those desires immediately. However,
Christians know suffering is inevitable. From a theological standpoint, suffering is
defined as: the experience of physical pain and mental distress. ( suffering ) If
individuals were to evaluate suffering from a Christian perspective, we must realize
categories that come with suffering. First, suffering is the consequence of the flawed
nature of creation. Second, suffering is the direct consequence of one s violation of
God s laws. Third, suffering can be good for our faith, and finally suffering is
embedded in truth, Christianity, and within the church. Historical Development
Before looking at the categories which formulate suffering, I would like to look at
Christian authors who agreed with my categories of suffering and who also sparked
my inspiration for evaluating suffering from a believer s viewpoint.
The first author is John Bunyan. His book, The Pilgrim s Progress tells the story of
Christian, a pilgrim who journeys from the City of Destruction to the Celestial City.
The City of Destruction emulates the world; Celestial City heaven. Christian was
The Fashion Industry In The Devil Wears Prada
It can be said that the Fashion industry is not for everyone, especially Anne
Hathaway s character in the 2006 Film The Devil Wears Prada. The fashion industry
is one of the hardest business to work in and this film shows it. The fashion Industry
takes a lot of time, money, dedication, and uses lots of resources that Anne Hathaways
role, Andy Sachs learns quickly. As coming out of Northwestern College as a
journalist she lands a job with the magazine Runway as their junior Assistant for the
head editor and chef Miranda Priestly, who is played by the wonderful Meryl Streep.
Miranda could be described as strict, stern, demanding, and a overall perfectionist.
However, by the end of dealing with Mirandas demands for a year Andy can only
hope she will score a job as a reporter or writer else where, so the question is will
she do it? When Andy begins her job as the junior assistant you can definitely see
that she struggles a lot. Andy walking in had no sense of style, had no knowledge
of what Runway Magazine was, and also had no idea that many people had wanted
her position at this company. In fact the first day that Andy arrives at runway
magazines home office she is absolutely appalled. Emily Charlton, Miranda s Senior
assistant was supposed to interview Andy, but unfortunately as soon as Andy and
Emily sat down to chat the phone had rang. It was Mirandas driver stating that they
were outside and to prepare. With the look of madness in Emily s eyes you could see
that
Runaway Juveniles Are Not A Serious Problem
National surveys suggested that 6% 7% of adolescents run away from home in the
United States (Sanchez, Waller, Greene, 2006; Tyler Bersani, 2008). Most
runaways rarely stay away from home for long periods and stay within 50 miles of
home (Hammer, Finkelhor, Sedlak, 2002). Although runaway juveniles are not a
serious problem (Kim, 2006) and eventually return to parents or guardian (Milburn
et al., 2007), they are victimized and exposed in deteriorate circumstances while
away. There were many problems for runaway juveniles, in spite of returning after a
short period of time, such as increasing their likelihood of engaging in high risk
behavior, being exploited or victimized by others, and resorting to illicit activities
(Chen, Thrane, Whitbeck, Johnson, Hoyt, 2007; Kipke, Simon, Montgomey, Unger,
Iversen, 1997; Wagner, Carlin, Cauce, Tenner, 2001). However, few researchers
explained the reason of why adolescents run away from home (Andres Lemay,
Jamieson, MacMillan, 2005; National Runaway Switchboard, 2008; Safyer,
Thompson, Maccio, Zittel Palamara, Forehand, 2004; Van der Ploeg Scholte, 1997;
Welsh, 1995). They claimed that the most common reason is negative family
environment. Safyer et al. (2004) found that 41% of the adolescentsattributed their
runaway behavior to a poor relationship dynamic with their parents. Poor parenting
practices and physical abuse increase the likelihood that a child will run away

Horse Soring Issue
In this essay, I will explain the facts, and argue my own views and opinions on
horse soring, a topic that has been booming for horse owners and horse lovers in the
United States and other foreign countries for the past forty years. This issue has not
only been affecting the horse population, but its controversy has spread and became
a huge issue in our government. People use soring to win competitions in a very
cruel way. Nothing about this issue seems very fair to me whatsoever.
The HPA otherwise known as the horseprotection act, passed as a bill by congress
in 1970 to ensure the protection of all horses from soring in shows, sales, auctions,
and practices. The bill in 1970 stated it to be cruel and inhumane to force a horse to
sore in a competition if it did not naturally have it that way already ... Show more

Not too recently a case of soring hit the spotlight in August of this year. A USDA
Medical Officer working at a Tennessee Walking Horse Show and found a horse
being sored in a forced way. The person who had gotten caught had rubbed foreign
oil on the horse s legs. The officer who captured this case mentioned in an article,
Its a Competitive World Out There. Unfortunately there are people who make
unethical choices to gain unfair advantages. This shows me, how badly people
want to win, when they do not even consider what pain this does to the horses that
help them win. Even now in 2016 after almost forty years horses seem to still
suffering from the choices that people make. But we can help; we can do
something to stop it. Multitudes of people capable of turning in a violator of this
act; once turned in, the penalties include: spending up to two years in prison, fines
of five thousand dollars, disqualification from showing for up to one year or more,
and a $2,200 fine or less for each hose found sored, and the person will also no longer
be able to compete in events, but they will be able to

Breach of Duty: Acme breached the duty of care because if we weigh the facts there
is more cost to Gunter than the cost of Acme preventing harm to Gunter by adding a
tag to Gunter s computer identifying it as the owner. The identification tag would
cost very little when comparing the harm caused to Gunter. In one of his letters,
Fontz mentioned that he had experienced a high volume of replacements and he was
unable to keep track of the defective parts. Calculating the risk from both sides
(defendant and plaintiff) we could conclude that Acme could prevent mixing up the
hard drives by identifying them at a very low cost, and Gunter would not face the
consequences of loosing the hard drive. Therefore, Acme breached the duty of care.
Negligence Per Se: According to the Business Law book by Mallor, courts use
statutes to determinate how a reasonable person would behave. Under the
Negligence Per Se, the defendant violation of such laws can create the breach of
duty and can allow the plaintiff to win the case . Acme breached the duty by failing
to return Gunter s original hard drive causing harm to Gunter.
Actual Cause: In actual cause, Gunter must connect his loss suffered by Acme s
actions. Gunter has to provide the proof necessary to conclude Acme s negligence.
Since there is no hard drive, Gunter is not able to prove it. However, he can argue
that because Acme lost his hard drive he is not able to
Asynchronous Transfer Mode for Transmitting Information
Essay
ATM is called Asynchronous Transfer Mode. ATM is a networking technology
which transmits information in the form fixed cells. The main vision behind
designing ATM was integration of services and performance requirements of both
telephony and data networking which was shortly called Broadband Integrated
Service Vision (B ISDN). This cell relay protocol was designed by ATM forum and
was universally adopted by ITU T. Usually the size of the fixed cells is about 53
bytes with 5 bytes for header and 48 bytes payload. When compared to the cell
sizes used in the previous technologies, the size of an ATM is small. The smaller
size of the ATM cells gives us a major advantage. ATM enables us to transmit video,
audio and data over the same network... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This should be done without any degradation in the performance or without
requiring any replacement. 3.The design must be implemented in a less expensive
method. In case the ATM becomes the backbone of the international
communications the cost of implementing it should not be a major barrier. 4.The
proposed system must ensure accurate and predictable delivery. This is possible
only if ATM is a Connection Oriented system. 5.The major objective of ATM was
to move most of the functionalities to the hardware side and have comparatively less
functionalities in the software. This will ensure higher speed in the delivery of
packets. It is clear from the above points that the major goal of ATM was to ensure
guaranteed Quality of Service (QoS). To ensure this various service classes were
defined by the ATM forum like Constant Bit Rate, Real time Variable Bit Rate, Non
Real time Variable Bit Rate, Unspecified Bit Rate, Available Bit Rate.
ARCHITECTURE OF ATM NETWORKS The ATM is a cell switched network as
discussed previously. There are two important interfaces which acts as a backbone
to the whole architecture of ATM. The first is Network to Network interface (NNI)
and the other is the User to Network interface (UNI). The User to Network interface
is used to connect the User access devices or the end points to the switches, while the
Network to Network interface is used to connect various switches. The connection
between two end

they work as a pre purchased, credit card. This innovation not only makes the life
of the passengers but also places a potential increase in the profits made by the
cruise companies, as passengers will always have a option of payment accessible
to them. Branding is another critical aspect of the cruise industry when it comes to
reaching and expanding on market segmentation and as the cruise market grows,
the need for branding will become even more notable. (Dowling, K. 2006. Pg 3)
Cartwright amp; Baird suggested that, Brand names are very important as they
often carry with them considerable customer loyalty perceptions. Even when a
cruise company acquires another company, they will often keep the name and
ambience of the acquired company in order to retain the company base.
(Cartwright, R. amp; Baird, C. 1999. Pg 73) Example: One of the biggest changes
in the cruise industry is the number of families going on cruises. In the past, it was
rare to see children on cruises. It is for that reason that cruise lines have had to adapt
their packages to include younger children; one of the best examples of this is the
Disney Cruise line. Disney offers many facilities and entertainment programs to their
customers. On a Disney cruise you can experience many types of entertainment

The Rights Opportunity Commission ( Eeoc )
Throughout History, the idea of equal opportunities and rights had and still is a
major issue amongst the people of the nation. Equal opportunities is defined as the
treatment of others equally without the discrimination of their sex, race or age.
Actions have been made to help prevent this from ever happening. In 1964,
Congress passed Public Law 88 352 (78 Stat. 241). This civil rights act forbade
discriminationbased on sex and race in hiring, promoting, and firing. ... Title VII of the
act created the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission(EEOC) to implement
the law. Morris Dees acted upon this and as a lawyer for civil rights he helped
prove that due to physical and social differences, you still have an opportunity to
prove and have a say in the world. The want of equal opportunities by morris dees
and the people, helped trigger the creation of the SPLC. The SPLC and the ideas that
Morris Dees conveyed to the people created an opportunity of equality.
Background on Law s before Morris Dees Actions:
In the 1960s, Americans who knew the equal protection of the laws expected the
Congress, and the courts to achieve the promise of the 14th Amendment. The
amendment states the rights and equal protection of the laws created. All three
branches of the government and the public debated a constitutional question: Does
the Constitution s restriction of denying equal protection always ban the use of racial,
ethnic, or gender criteria in an attempt to bring social

Essay On My Brother Sam Is Dead
War Is Never Right
But somehow, fifty years later, I keep thinking that there might have been another
way, besides war, to achieve the same end (Collier and Collier 211). The quote
shows how there could possibly be another way to solve the British and Patriots
argument. In James and Christopher Collier s historical fiction book, My Brother
Sam Is Dead, the story takes place during the American Revolution which occurred
in 1775. To many people in the book, both sides believe that war is always unfair.
War could tear families or people apart or bring them together as a group to fight.
The Patriots fight for their own freedom by revolting and creating the American
Revolution. In the historical fiction novel, My Brother Sam Is Dead, there ... Show

Both sides to Tim are bad in both ways. Finally, when Mr. Meeker did not allow
Sam to take the Brown Bess to fight with, Sam stole the gun. Sam disobeyed his
father and Tim tries to take it back. Tim kept on trying to persuade Sam to give the
gun back to Mr. Meeker, but he keeps ignoring Tim s request. When Tim tries to
steal the gun from Sam, Sam immediately found out and chased after Tim. When
Sam caught up to Tim, Tim started to blackmail and said that he would shoot the
gun at Sam if he got closer. Don t come any closer, Sam, or I ll shoot you (Collier
and Collier 55). This shows that even war can tear the two brothers that love each
other apart. Families can still be teared apart from any type of war.
Another reason why the authors are against war is due to the clash of generations.
During the American Revolution, Yale students would go to get weapons and
they would join the war. The younger adults believe that they should join the war to
fight for freedom. Yale students did rush away to get weapons and join the war in
1775 (Collier and Collier 214). These college students are sacrificing their lives to
fight for their own freedom. On the other hand, the adults say that war is bad and
that no one should fight. Grownups believe that it is not worth it to fight for their
own freedom. Many people say that war is unfair or not worth it. I think men of
common sense will prevail. Nobody wants rebellion except fools and hotheads
(Collier and Collier 6). Mr.
Our Zombies Ourselves Summary
Comparative Analysis of Vampires Never Die and Our Zombies, Ourselves In
vampires never die Guillermo Del Toro and Chuck Hogan use technology
advancement to explain the creation of vampires, also using mixed vocabulary and
expressions to explain a more serious tone. On the other hand, James Parker uses the
development of the modern zombie to explain the stereotype of these creatures in
his article Our Zombies, Ourselves, while using more playful expressions to show
his tone. These three authors seem to have the same concepts while writing about
these monsters, but still disagreeing on some points. While there are some key
differences in these two articles, they are similar in many ways also. All three authors
agree and disagree on several points, such as they both appeal to more intellectual
audiences, and they both write about conformity with the want to fit in, while
disagreeing on what they use to explain their monster s general idea. Firstly, the
authors all aim for a more intellectual audience that find horrorstories entertaining.
These articles were written for The New York Times and The Atlantic Monthly,
which are both papers for very intelligent people. The New York Times and The
Atlantic Monthly are both known for being very complex reads, so people must be
very intelligent to understand them. Authors Guillermo Del Toroand Chuck Hogan

difficulty of this reading. This
Harley Davidson Inc Business Overview
Harley Davidson Inc
Introduction
Since its introduction in the market (1903), Harley Davidson Inc. has experienced
mixed fortunes in their production process. The company started as a monopoly until
at a time when the Asian companies such as Honda emerged strongly in the market
(1973). This strong competition presented by the Asian companies has forced the
company to modify its production process in order to achieve its mission and vision
statements. Even though the company has experienced stiff competition throughout
the year, it still has popular following around the world. Some competitors include
Kawasaki, Yamaha, and Suzuki, Indian, Victory, BMW and Triumph motorcycles
showing that the company has applied a unique strategic management in order to
remain relevant in the market. The background of the company triggers the thesis
statement of this article: proper strategic management is the key to coping with a

The Fellowship of the Ring Response Essay
The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring
Reader Response
The novel The Fellowship of the Ring by J.R.R Tolkien is set in a fanciful world
filled with strange creatures and magical happenings, but not everything is so
unlike our world. Many of the characters change over the course of the story, just
as we do over the course of our lives. Frodo, the main character and the carrier of
the magical ring, is part of the mythical race of Hobbits, yet he is remarkably
human. He has the same values as we do, and his small size hides his big heart. His
journey throughout the novel changes his life and his outlook on life. In the
beginning he is content with his quiet life, and his voyage leaves him lusting after
adventure. Of all ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However the women wear their hair down and the men wear fancy embroidered
vests, which suggests much later in time. I like novels with no set time, because they
let me imagine what I want.
The Fellowship of the Ring has a lot of background information and long words.
Tolkien does this in all of his writing. I disliked all the landscape in the beginning,
but I grew to be thankful for the extra description as the novel went on. Tolkien s
world is complicated, with many mountain ranges, plains, deserts, jungles, and
forests, and the rich description helps to keep them straight and also helps the reader
imagine the world of Middle Earth. Generally fantasy books that are written for
children have less information and more action, but not this one. This book is
written with many long and occasionally some made up words. The names, for
example the name Galadriel, are made of odd letters and have strange
pronunciations, yet all fit the characters to a tee. The Elvish language made by the
author flows off the tongue of the reader, and is a pleasure to say aloud. The book
may seem dense to a reader who prefers fast paced action, yet the description and the
rich language simply enhance the plotline.
Tolkien wrote his novels as bedtime stories for his young children. When they were
first published, they were sold solely as children s novels. Over the years, however,
The Fellowship of the Ring has become a classic read by all ages. How does
Why the Levi Advertisements Were Successful Essay
Why the Levi Advertisements Were Successful
Levi s began to manufacture jeans around the 1870s, and jeans were originally
working men s clothing. During the 1950s people aged 13 19 became known as
teenagers, prior to this people were all either children or adults. Jeans became
popular clothes for teenagers because they were seen as a sign of rebellion against
parents and authority. The jeans wearing teenagers then grew up and become parents
meaning that the next generation of youngsters saw older people wearing the jeans
and refused to wear them. This forced jeans to become unfashionable throughout the
early 80s. In the mid 80s Levi s hired a highly successful advertising company (Bartle

Environmental Issues of Japan
The focus of this paper is the show you three environmental issues of that japan have
in its country. The three environmental issues that Japans has are the Energy
management, nuclear power, and fishing and whaling. Energy management, the first
environmental issue, is how much japans waste s energy on the cell phones and
insulations in their homes. Nuclear power, the second environmental issue, nuclear
power provides 35% of electricity and we all remember the earthquake that
destroyed half of them that was a big issue. Fishing and Whaling, the third
environmental issue, is about the food the fish way too much, and there is less fish
and whales in their water for them to keep doing it.

The Kashiwazaki Kariwa Nuclear Power Plant was completely shut down for 21
months following an earthquake in 2007. The 2011 earthquake and tsunami
caused the failure of cooling systems at the Fukushima I Nuclear Power Plant on
March 11 and a nuclear emergency was declared. This was the first time a nuclear
emergency had been declared in Japan, and 140,000 residents within 20 km of the
plant were evacuated. The total amount of radioactive material released is unclear,
as the crisis is on going. On 6 May 2011, Prime Minister ordered the Hamaoka
Nuclear Power Plant be shut down, as an earthquake of magnitude 8.0 or higher is
likely to hit the area within the next 30 years.
Fishing and Whaling, the third environmental issue, is about the food the fish way
too much, and there is less fish and whales in their water for them to keep doing it. In
the Japanese diets, fish and its products are more prominent than other types of meat.
Because of the depletion of ocean stocks in the late 20th century, Japan s total annual
fish catch has been diminishing rapidly. Japan, along with the United States and the
European Union, occupies the large part of international fish trade. Japanese fish
catches were the third in the world in 2000, following China and Peru. The United
States, Chile, Indonesia, the Russian Federation and India were other major
countries. By 2004, the number of adult Atlantic Bluefin tuna capable of

PROBABLE CAUSE OF THE BHOPAL INDUSTRIAL DISASTER OF 1984

INDUSTRIAL HYGIENE AND TOXICOLOGY

ABSTRACT
On December 3, 1984 a gas leak occurred at a facility in Bhopal India, owned and
operated by Union Carbide India Limited that killed an estimated 3,500 people,
although some speculate the death toll was closer to 8,000. To this day, the residual
effects of the toxic chemicals that were poured on the ground and buried by Union
Carbide workers at the Bhopal site continue to make people sick. Heavily
contaminated soils and groundwater have poisoned an estimated 200,000 people
with chronic exposure since the gas leak occurred and long after the plant was shut
down. Union Carbide claimed ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The pipe was not sealed and a faulty valve allowed the water to mix with the gas
causing a chemical reaction which heated the tank up tremendously. According to
Cameochemicals.noaa, MIC gas is Highly Flammable, is Polymerizable, and most
importantly in this case, Water Reactive (Cameochemicals). When workers poured
more water over the pipes to try and cool them this undoubtedly increased the
volatility of the reaction that was taking place. Methyl Isocyanate readily undergoes
violent chemical changes at elevated temperatures and pressures (Cameochemicals).
This theory could be where the company s saboteur claim comes from, due to the
premise that water was added intentionally, Even though it may have been a desperate
attempt to prevent the tank from bursting under pressure. In the confusion and chaos
surrounding the days following the leak it is impossible to determine whether the site
was tampered with or altered to throw off an investigation of the gas leak. Although
the cause of the worst industrial accident in history may never be clearly known,
there is no mistaking Union Carbide s total disregard for the safety and health of the
people of Bhopal. Studies of the ground water near the chemical plant confirm that

Photography and The Gothic
The photographs taken by Terry Evans in the collection Heartland show a range of
perspectives of the Midwest prairie. Heartland displays characteristics of the
traditional Gothic through the combination of wide landscapes and dilapidated
factories. Photos from three collections portray the transition of the untouched
landscape to an overgrown and gothic scene. The first photos of the gothic transition
come from the Prairie Images of Ground and Sky collection. The collection shows
untouched nature that gives a feeling of the sublime. It shows wide green expanses,
bathed in warm light, that shows a raw beauty and goodness created by nature. This
feeling of the sublime is a major aspect of the gothic due to its ability to provide...

This feeling is better reflected in the Matfield Green collection that depicts the
green expanse that is similar to the Prairie Images of Ground and Sky collection but
also includes things such as railroads and power lines that show that the area is
populated. This collection adds an aspect of the isolated landscape and fear of
isolation because there is a sparse dotting of humans across the large expanse that
gives the viewer the knowledge that there are inhabitants around, but not seen or
directly noticed. The element of isolation in nature is demonstrated in The Mysteries
of Udolpho and The Turn of the Screw by Udolpho and the House at Bly through
their setting in isolated landscapes with weak tethers to the rest of civilization. The
idea of overcoming this isolation is also present in the novels. Emily in The
Mysteries of Udolpho escapes the isolation to safety. The Governess in The Turn of
the Screw hopes to do the same by connection with the Man from Harley Street but is
not as lucky. The effect of the isolated landscape with an unknown element causes the
reader and viewer to become suspicious of their surroundings and uneasy with the
sublime landscape due to the possibility that something evil is residing within it and
give a more traditional gothic feel. The third collection that completes a gothic
picture of the Midwest shows the ruins of the prairie. Steel Work
The Cultural Context Of The Epistle Of James
Introduction The epistle of James considered the greatest practical Christian living in
the New Testament comparable to Proverbs in the Old Testament. Throughout the
epistle, there are over twenty references to the Sermon on the Mount, making the
epistle a small commentary on the sermon given by Jesus.
The Author One of the most discussed subjects about the epistle of James is who
wrote it. The author identifies himself James as a servant of God, without giving
any other clues to who he is. Three possible people could be the author of this
epistle: the first and least likely is James the son of Alphaeus, the second is James
the son of Zebedee and brother of John, and the last is James the brother of Jesus. No
evidence in history to suggest ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, just what does this mean, James explained in verse 18 that they are new
creatures or the firstfruits of his creatures through the word. Firstfruits, being the
best of a crop that the master would get for himself before giving away or selling
any. These would have been the best, most perfect of the crops. This is also
something the Jewish people would understand being mostly farmers. Now that
we know that they are to understand the word so we can be those firstfruits, what do
they need to do to understand? James instructed be quick to listen, slow to speak,
slow to anger It is interesting that James placed, quick to listen first, why did he do
this, to ensure the reader understands the importance of listening to the whole word
not just hearing what they wanted to hear. James is encouraging the reader to listen
to scripture whenever they get the chance for it is a sign of being a true Christian.
Slow to speak, first, they needed to listen, but they could not listen if they were
speaking. The need to hold their tongue until the end was essential to prevent them
from looking like a fool (Proverbs 17:28). Slow to anger, why is this last on the list?
Research Assistant History
The research done by Molony and Hammett looked into how research assistants are
compensated for their help in the field. These two also research if the wealth
asymmetry has any affect on the relationship between researcher and research
assistance. The history behind research and research assistant relationships has a
great deal to do with the history and the colonial era transition of researchers.
In places like South Africa, the white researcher has less of an advantage in
conducting research because populations are based on color and if you are white then
you do not get as many opportunities to view the cultures of other people. Unlike in
Tanzania, the transition from their colonial era was smooth and comfortable.
Tanzanians enjoy working with and helping the white foreigners conduct research
because it helps them learn English and understand the white culture. In Tanzania, the

Research assistants should also know how to assimilate themselves in different
areas and groups also known as a gatekeeper . A gatekeeper is needed in the
research process to be able to visit locations unknown to the researcher or where the
research would not have been able to go without the help of a research assistant.
Other factors of selecting a research assistant include knowledge, race, age, and
gender (pg. 296). Gender plays a major role in anthropological research assistants
because taboos of opposite sex can cause complications of the research. Even if it
is easier for a male to work with a female because female assistants are able to enter
new territory and communicate with people a male could never have talked to, it is
just easier to work with an assistant of the same gender so no complication arise in a
concerned family of the research

Address was significant or not. There are two sides to every story in this case there
are the ones who believe the address was important and then there are ones who
thought the address had no significance. The Gettysburg Addresswas full of logic and

Accounting Ethics Essay example
The Bible and Accounting Ethics
The Bible and accounting have numerous similarities when it comes to ethics. First,
let us take a look at the definition of ethics; ethics are the beliefs that distinguish
right from wrong. They are accepted standards of good and bad behavior (Wild,
p.8). Therefore when comparing the two we are able to distinguish certain verses in
the bible, with the code of ethics in accounting that are recognized in the accounting
industry or any industry at that.
There are a few verses that I would like to start off with, just to give the reader an
idea of the many scriptures that pertain not only to accounting ethics but general code
of ethics for any form of business. You shall not steal; you shall not deal... Show

Those changes can only come with hiring different people who have different
backgrounds and ideas, and without that the company itself will not stand out to
potential clients.
Lastly I will discuss competition within different companies. When it comes to
competition for different companies one company may think that wiping out their
fellow competition would be beneficial to their business when in fact it is immoral.
If you meet your enemy s ox or his donkey going astray, you shall bring it back to
him. If you see the donkey of one who hates you lying down under its burden, you
shall refrain from leaving him with it; you shall rescue it with him (Exodus 23:4 5,
English Standard Version). Basically what this scripture is trying to get across is
that even though they are competition it is moral to compete in a friendly way.
Making it a goal to destroy that company because they are competition is unethical.
For instance, put yourself in the competitor s shoes would you like it if your fellow
competition was striving to put you out of business for their own personal gain? To
be an honest company one must follow the ethics of the Bible, not only for personal
reasons but to honor our Lord who will reward in the end.

Synthesis Of Tert-Butyl Chloride Lab Report
The objective surrounding the experiment outlined by this report is to perform an
SN1 reaction to synthesize tert butyl chloride while recording the reactivity of the
compound with sodium iodide and silver nitrate reagents. Nucleophilic substitution
reactions, denoted SN1 or SN2, are characterized by a nucleophile(electron pair
donor) reacting with an electrophile (electron pair acceptor) to break a bond at a
carbon to form a new bond with that carbon.1 In order for the reaction to take place,
a compound or element must break away from the electrophile, so it may accept
electrons from the nucleophile.2 The octet rule must not be disobeyed and thus, the
leaving group allows space for other electrons to attach. Figure 1.1 (right) shows a

For this experiment, the nucleophile will be considered the chloride ion from HCl.
The chloride ion in this case constitutes a good nucleophile because it is charged
with a 1 and is relatively low in electronegativity.5 Since the chloride ion will be
donating a pair of its electrons, the fact that it is negatively charge indicates that it
indeed has extra electrons to donate and thus its nucleophilic character is greater as a
result. Additionally, the electronegativity of the chloride ion is a showing of how
willing the ion is to donate elctrons, or rather how tightly the chloride ion holds those
electrons to the nucleus. A low electronegativity indicates that the ion is larger in size
and allows electrons to float more freely and also donates those outer electrons more
Scapegoat For Women
The American people must modestly realize that men are the prevailing sex, while
women should exercise their God given abilities of being housewives. One of the
most noble tasks for women is to raise children and to prepare them for the future. In
the last century, women have become addicted to demanding more rights without
justification. The United States of America must stand strong in denying women the
right to have an abortion, equal pay, paid maternity leave, and political representation.
Women must have the legal and ethical responsibility for keeping their unborn child
because they are directly responsible for having that child in the first place.
Furthermore, if a womancannot prevent an unwanted pregnancy, the unborn should
not be used as a scapegoat.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Women have failed to capitalize on the right to vote ever since the ratification of the
Nineteenth Amendment. For the most part, women do not desire to involve
themselves in political affairs. Moreover, women who wanted to run for a political
office often lacked the efficient management to run their campaign, and the adequate
resources to use the media to advertise their campaign agenda. Since we live in a
democratic country, women should never complain about their failure to gain
adequate representation in the House of Representatives and the Senate. Society
cannot do much more for women to win political elections and compete against
men; women should learn how to support each other. In a free country, various
groups of people, including women, will always demand certain rights that will
serve their own agenda. It is healthy to compete and demand certain rights, but some
women s rights are baseless and cannot be granted because women should not be
treated more sympathetically just because they are women. America is the land of
opportunity for those who are willing to work and strive to achieve their
Modern English Language
There are 6,909 languages spoken in the world today (Anderson). As of 2009, roughly
328 million people speak English as their first language, coming in third to Chinese
and Spanish (Languages of the World). This essay will describe the geographies,
politics, and arts that contributed to the evolution of the present English language, as
well as the different pronunciations, dialects, and varieties that have risen up
throughout the world. Several countries and civilizations influenced the English
language. In the nineteenth century thirty million people immigrated to the United
States of America (History: Late Modern English [c.1800 Present]). These included
Italians, Austro Hungarians, Russians, Germans, Norwegians, Swedes, and more.
Many times these immigrants would form their own communities in which they
would have a distinctive English with a strong ... accent and an idiosyncratic syntax
(History: Late Modern English [c.1800 Present]). During this time, the British Empire
spanned nearly twenty five percent of Earth, including Canada, South Africa, India,
Australia, and several other countries. Once colonized, the natives were taught the
English language and contributed some of their own words as well (History: Late
Modern English [c.1800 Present]). Through the colonization process, several varieties
of the English language were produced. Examples of the New Englishes were
Australian English, South African English, Caribbean English, and South Asian

Current Issues In Health Care
One of the main issues government workers face for the next decade is the aging
workforce due to retirement in crucial administration positions. The public health
workforce significantly lack experienced leaders to fill the gaps of certain
employment positions. Employees who are within management positions are not
certain when they will retire due to indefinite economic situations from the previous
years. Additionally, the aging workforce issue is more dominant in pubic
organizations than private administrations because public organizations have to

Summary Of John Knowles A Separate Peace
A Separate Peace by John Knowles tells a story of the external and internal wars a
person experiences in their lifetime. During the summer session of 1942 at Devon
Academy, introverted student Gene Forrester follows in the footsteps of his carefree
yet ambitious best friend, Phineas. Gene starts to envy Finny s charisma rather than
admire. The growth of his selfish desires to transform into Finny contradicts Gene s
morality, creating an internal conflict. Knowles conveys one s selfishness causes
decisions to be based on self concern rather than the well being of others. For

Then at last Finny straightened from this prayerful position slowly; as though it

his selfish and deceitful side overpowering his morality. He lies to preserve the
untainted image that Finny held of him. He completely disregards the impact it
would have on Finny when he inevitably found out the truth from someone other
than him. When Gene did not return [Finny s] look it reveals his immediate guilt
and shame because he recognizes that this would have a negative impact not only
on Finny, but their friendship. In addition, Gene s selfish desires to fulfill his
satisfaction forces him to feel the necessity to shake the tree branch. Gene admits,
[Finny] had never been jealous of me for a second. Now I knew that there never
was and never could have been any rivalry between us. I was not of the same
quality as he. I couldn t stand this (Knowles 59). In the moments leading up to
Finny s fall, Gene realizes the mutual rivalry and enmity between him and Finny
does not exist. Finny has no real enemy, re establishing Gene s inferiority to him
knowing his morals are not of the same quality as [Finny s]. His realization that he
remains inferior angers Gene and causes him to reveal his spitefulness when he shook

to overcome her mental health issues and her addiction to drugs (A Most Modern

family and loved ones, they did share one thing in common, they all wanted what they

justification for her inability to recover from her addiction to drugs and underlying
mental health

two of his timeless books. They are as different as night and day but in some cases

that they both confuse information. For example, Huck tells Jim that Henry VIII

In Las Meninas, the artist Velazquez shows himself in there along with the king,
queen and princess Margarita. Velazquez is wearing clothes that look like knight
clothes. On his clothes there is a picture of a sword in the shape of a cross that
might symbolize either him having a reputation as a knight or his desire to be a
knight. Velazquez had an ambition of becoming a knight. But there were certain
requirements he had to bypass. Their laws stated that only those from families of
nobility could join, members cannot have Muslim ancestry and a crafts man
couldn t be a member. Velazquez was an artist and art was seen as a craft. Three
years after his painting Las Meninas, he was accepted to be a knight. Another icon
is Velazquez himself being in the picture with the royal family and the king and
queen shows a symbol of him wanting to deliver a message to viewers or impress
the king and the queen with his painting. Another symbolism that is apparent is the
picture or the mirror that reflects the king and queen. Rather than both being in a

interesting point that shows how honored the king and queen
The Spanish American War of 1898 Essay
The Spanish American War of 1898 One hundred years ago, in 1898, the United
States was fighting the Spanish American War. The victory over Spain made the
United States a colonial power. The Spanish colonies of Cuba, Puerto Rico, Guam,
and the Philippines, as well as the formerly independent nation of Hawaii, became
American possessions. The excuse for entering the war was the rebellion by the
Cubans against Spanish rule and the explosion of an American battleship U.S.S.
Maine. The Spanish colonies in mainland North and South America became
independent in the early 1800s, but Cuba and Puerto Rico remained Spanish. Many

crews suffered no fatalities and few injuries. The Battle of Manila Bay was a
singular demonstration of the daring and decisive application of sea power. In a
few hours, Dewey had eliminated any threat that the Spanish Navy might pose to
U.S. Far Eastern commerce and placed Spain s centuries long rule of the
Philippines in great jeopardy. A few days later, with the capture of Cavite arsenal,
he also gained a repair and refueling base, essential for maintaining his squadron
under wartime conditions thousands of miles from home. On May 15, Theodore
Roosevelt began training the famous Rough Riders for battles in Cuba, which
brought him the fame that made him vice president in 1901 and then president on
September 13 . In Washington, President McKinley received the news of the great
battle. However, the battle of Manila did not end the war. 100 miles off the US
coast is where Spanish held Cuba, by a substantial army, and hostile to American
interests there. No naval force could impose on Cuba, and in order to force the
Spanish out, a full scale invasion would have to be mounted. In 1897, Theodore

History of the Assembly Line
Back during the second World War, my grandma had to go into the factories to work.
At that same time, my grandpa, her husband, was over fighting in the war. She was a
Rosie the Riveter and went into the factory to work for General Motors. Sadly, she is
no longer with us so everything I have learned about her in the factory are stories that
have been passed down.
General Motors at that time was making anything from tanks to ammunition casings
(Carroll, n.d.). I was unable to track down what exactly my grandma was working on
but at that time she lived in Pontiac, Michigan and many plants around there were
producing a variety of different products for the war. After... Show more content on

By 1927, Ford, with the help of the assembly line, had sold about fifteen million cars
worldwide. These fifteen million cars accounted for over half of all automobiles
that were sold by that time (McKenzie, 2015). Also, in the 1920s, the assembly got
a slight upgrade. The original rope and pulley assembly lines were upgraded to
mechanized conveyors. The next big upgrade to the assembly line was in the
decade of the War. This is when robots were first introduced to the assembly lines.
This was developed by the vice president of manufacture, Delmar Harder. This was
a chance to see what automation could possibly do for the line. These robots did
not run purely by themselves, the workers still played a large role. With this new
found knowledge, Ford was able to open a self regulating plant for sheet metal
stamping. Continuing with the development and improvement of the assembly line,
in the 1960s, new machines were invented that allowed for five axes of motion.
These devices were called the Versatran , and were installed a Ford factory in Ohio.
But later in the decade, robots became even more complex adding another axis it can

Essay On Global Health Development
Global Health Development through the Lens of Nigeria Nigeria is a lower middle
income country located in western Africa. Nigeria is one of the fastest growing
populations in the world today, growing at a rate of 3.2 percent annually (United
States Agency for International Development, 2017). The combination of low income
and large populationintroduces many developmental challenges that Nigeria must
overcome in order to decrease individual health risk and increase quality of life. The
development of Nigeria is not just effected by health factors but also resource,
economic, and governmental limitations. In order to overcome all of these challenges
in countries such as Nigeria, the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) were
developed by the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The status of health in Nigeria can be seen through indicators such as the incidence
of disease. The leading cause of death in Nigeria is Malaria, a disease that has been
completely eradicated in most countries (Center for Disease Control, 2013).
Treatment and test kits for malaria can be extremely expensive. However, a simple
vaccination can help to prevent the illness thus resulting in fewer deaths. Another
prominent disease seen in Nigeria is HIV. Nigeria has the second largest number
of cases of HIV in the world (United States Agency for International Development,
2017). Nigeria has developed a prevention plan to help provide therapy as soon as
possible however, HIV results in the death of many individuals as there is no cure.
The list of diseases which place burden on the health status of Nigeria is endless.
Ultimately, changes need to be made in order to prevent transmission, allow for early
detection, and eradicate diseases.
Health Priorities in terms of MDGs In theory, the MDGs were designed with the
best intentions of improving health across the world. However, progress for Nigeria
was noticeably lacking. Out of the eight goals, Nigeria only accomplished three goals
(TAC economics, 2017). The three goals that they achieved include: goal six of
combating HIV/AIDS, malaria, and other diseases, goal seven of ensuring
environmental sustainability, and goal eight of developing a global partnership for
development. In order to
Drinking At Cervo s Analysis
Cervo s, a two month old restaurant on the east end of Canal Street, is divided in
two. In front is a long bar where bartenders stir sherry with lemon lime soda and
three cooks make all the food. In the rear is a squarish dining room that can fit about
16 people if they all hold their breath.
The tight quarters back there, the low ceiling broken by a skylight, and the glossy
wood paneling made me feel as if I were eating in the dining cabin of a large but not
excessively luxurious sailboat. And the man at the table next to mine couldn t seem
to find his sea legs.
I don t recognize anything on this wine list, he said. Which is exciting, in a way, but ...
Gamely, the sommelier asked what he usually liked to drink. Unoaked chardonnay
and California style sauvignon blanc, he said, but you don t have any of those. ...

Drinking at Cervo s means leaving familiar landmarks behind. Most of the wines
are from Portugal and the rest from Spain, with very few well known names
between them. After a few false starts, the sommelier steered him to a vinho verde
from a winery called Aphros. I d drunk it very happily on another night. It was
more lush and ripe than the thin, fizzy vinho verdes that I cut my teeth on as a
youngster, and had enough citrus to come in for a soft landing in Mr. Sauvignon
Blanc s comfort zone. He took a sip, and looked as if he d decided to wait and see

Setting For Treasure Island On The California Coast
As I ease into the yellowish water, sandy running shoes around my neck and small
dog wriggling under my arm, I become aware of a faint and unfamiliar sour musky
odor. This better be worth it.
I expect it will be. One time Sonoma County resident Robert Louis Stevenson is said
to have developed the setting for Treasure Island on the California coast. For many
of my generation and older, that is the tale that launched a thousand ships, pirate
vessels all, in dreams of sudden and incalculable wealth. Decades later, any hope of
sudden material wealth has slipped away like fog under a midmorning sun. But a
greater wealth hinted at in the book remains, even if it is only attainable during the
odd vacation week every year the wealth of enriching experience and wonder.
Which brings me back to the Sonoma coast and Gualala Point Regional Park. The
park is a County facility, and offers one of the shrinking number of public beaches
where dogs are welcome. Provided they are on six foot leashes, that is. Such a
diminishment of the dog s world is nothing compared to that of the snowy plover s.
The plover is a six inch sandpiper, nearly invisible in its shoreline environment,
whose very existence is uncertain due to development of California s coast and
trampling of beaches and dunes and cryptic eggs in the sand. A dog s merry chase may
seem harmless no bird caught, ever and yet still doom another chance for a tiny bird s
future.
So we were happy to be on the beach with our dogs,

On the way to work, to meet the new director, the car had overheated when getting off the off ramp to work. I checked under the hood and I saw that the car had a clean razor blade like cut in the radiator hose allowing air to get into the system. I had electrical tape and silicone in the car at the time, and I used that to repair the hose that was torn. Then I stopped at Harbor Freight to get hose clamps to tighten down the hoses; so the air would not get in and it wouldn t leak. I have receipt of the hose clamps I purchased there that day. • 3. Why Teachers Should Have Guns There was a fire in the science class room today. Luckily the teacher had fire extinguishers in the class room which, stoped the fire in a few minutes. Should the school call the fire department and do nothing causing people to get hurt? Or should the teacher stop the fire? Of course the teacher should of stop the fire with a fire extinguisher. By stopping the fire it did not get bigger worse and no one got hurt. There was a kid brought a guninto school today and, pulled out during class. Luckily the teacher had a gun in the class room which stopped the kid in a few minutes. Should the school call the police department and, do nothing causing people to get hurt? Or should the teacher of stop the shooter? Of course the teacher should of stop the shooter. By stopping the shooter it did not get worse and no one got hurt. Teachers should have guns in school to protect the students. Part of the reason why teachers should have guns is what causes school shootings. What is the cause school shootings? Who is to blame? Is it the broken homes, the lack of god or, the fact that there is to many guns? Should we blame the government or blame society or should we blame the images on TV? The thing to blame is fear. Everyday America lives in fear of each other and everything. They fear each other because of their skin, religion and where they live. A foot ball player from Missouris said I mean, people were looking at us like we were aliens. They were looking at him because they
  • 4. Using The Personal Task Management Software On Computers... 1.Background Rationale In contemporary society, many people are overwhelmed by the number of tasks that need to be accomplished [1], this tasks are of different types, ranging from daily based such as meetings at work, and non daily based buying groceries after work. To help ourselves to remember these tasks, basic practices are to take notes on the paper based day planners or post it and to use the personal task management software on computers and/or smartphones. As smartphones are used as an alternatives to personal computers, taking notes on smartphones is getting more and more popular [1]. Each measure was implemented with the best intentions for the user. The fact that it simplifies log on procedures is a big factor. They could theoretically go into your Facebook account and change your password, locking you out of it. That is a downside to OAUTH. It grants the website certain permissions to post something on Facebook on your behalf. What I mean by this is if you have your Yahoo account linked to Facebook and you read an article, Yahoo will post something on Facebook saying you recently read a certain article. Granted Yahoo gives you an option to show friends on Facebook what you read or not, but websites such as SocialCam do not give you that option. If you watch a video on SocialCam it will show on Facebook what you watched. The reasons behind these actions are so friends will drive friends to read potential stories and to drive people to the websites to gain more viewers. So they essentially use your Facebook to further their website. Also websites can use recent trends from your Facebook page to try to entice you with advertisements. The advertisements may proclaim that friend of yours on Facebook uses a certain product, or is interested in certain things that you may be interested in. Now which one do I prefer? • 6. Reflection About Suffering Introduction Christians know other Christians are prone to suffering. Non Christians I have spoken to believe that Christians have a happy life. Non believers believe we do not endure suffering simply because in their reality, God is personified as a genie; Christians can simply pray for what they desire in life; examples including money, power, wealth, and the Lord will grant those desires immediately. However, Christians know suffering is inevitable. From a theological standpoint, suffering is defined as: the experience of physical pain and mental distress. ( suffering ) If individuals were to evaluate suffering from a Christian perspective, we must realize categories that come with suffering. First, suffering is the consequence of the flawed nature of creation. Second, suffering is the direct consequence of one s violation of God s laws. Third, suffering can be good for our faith, and finally suffering is embedded in truth, Christianity, and within the church. Historical Development Before looking at the categories which formulate suffering, I would like to look at Christian authors who agreed with my categories of suffering and who also sparked my inspiration for evaluating suffering from a believer s viewpoint. The first author is John Bunyan. His book, The Pilgrim s Progress tells the story of Christian, a pilgrim who journeys from the City of Destruction to the Celestial City. The City of Destruction emulates the world; Celestial City heaven. Christian was

The fashion Industry takes a lot of time, money, dedication, and uses lots of resources that Anne Hathaways role, Andy Sachs learns quickly. As coming out of Northwestern College as a journalist she lands a job with the magazine Runway as their junior Assistant for the head editor and chef Miranda Priestly, who is played by the wonderful Meryl Streep. Miranda could be described as strict, stern, demanding, and a overall perfectionist. However, by the end of dealing with Mirandas demands for a year Andy can only hope she will score a job as a reporter or writer else where, so the question is will she do it? When Andy begins her job as the junior assistant you can definitely see that she struggles a lot. Andy walking in had no sense of style, had no knowledge of what Runway Magazine was, and also had no idea that many people had wanted her position at this company. In fact the first day that Andy arrives at runway magazines home office she is absolutely appalled. It was Mirandas driver stating that they were outside and to prepare. With the look of madness in Emily s eyes you could see that

Most runaways rarely stay away from home for long periods and stay within 50 miles of home (Hammer, Finkelhor, Sedlak, 2002). Although runaway juveniles are not a serious problem (Kim, 2006) and eventually return to parents or guardian (Milburn et al., 2007), they are victimized and exposed in deteriorate circumstances while away. There were many problems for runaway juveniles, in spite of returning after a short period of time, such as increasing their likelihood of engaging in high risk behavior, being exploited or victimized by others, and resorting to illicit activities (Chen, Thrane, Whitbeck, Johnson, Hoyt, 2007; Kipke, Simon, Montgomey, Unger, Iversen, 1997; Wagner, Carlin, Cauce, Tenner, 2001). However, few researchers explained the reason of why adolescents run away from home (Andres Lemay, Jamieson, MacMillan, 2005; National Runaway Switchboard, 2008; Safyer, Thompson, Maccio, Zittel Palamara, Forehand, 2004; Van der Ploeg Scholte, 1997; Welsh, 1995). They claimed that the most common reason is negative family environment. Safyer et al. (2004) found that 41% of the adolescentsattributed their runaway behavior to a poor relationship dynamic with their parents. Poor parenting practices and physical abuse increase the likelihood that a child will run away (Matchinda, 1999; P. Kurtz, G. Kurtz, Jarvis,

This issue has not only been affecting the horse population, but its controversy has spread and became a huge issue in our government. People use soring to win competitions in a very cruel way. Nothing about this issue seems very fair to me whatsoever. The HPA otherwise known as the horseprotection act, passed as a bill by congress in 1970 to ensure the protection of all horses from soring in shows, sales, auctions, and practices. Breach of Duty: Acme breached the duty of care because if we weigh the facts there is more cost to Gunter than the cost of Acme preventing harm to Gunter by adding a tag to Gunter s computer identifying it as the owner. The identification tag would cost very little when comparing the harm caused to Gunter. In one of his letters, Fontz mentioned that he had experienced a high volume of replacements and he was unable to keep track of the defective parts. Calculating the risk from both sides (defendant and plaintiff) we could conclude that Acme could prevent mixing up the hard drives by identifying them at a very low cost, and Gunter would not face the consequences of loosing the hard drive. Therefore, Acme breached the duty of care. Negligence Per Se: According to the Business Law book by Mallor, courts use statutes to determinate how a reasonable person would behave. Under the Negligence Per Se, the defendant violation of such laws can create the breach of duty and can allow the plaintiff to win the case . Acme breached the duty by failing to return Gunter s original hard drive causing harm to Gunter. Actual Cause: In actual cause, Gunter must connect his loss suffered by Acme s actions. Gunter has to provide the proof necessary to conclude Acme s negligence. Since there is no hard drive, Gunter is not able to prove it. However, he can argue that because Acme lost his hard drive he is not able to

The main vision behind designing ATM was integration of services and performance requirements of both telephony and data networking which was shortly called Broadband Integrated Service Vision (B ISDN). This cell relay protocol was designed by ATM forum and was universally adopted by ITU T. Usually the size of the fixed cells is about 53 bytes with 5 bytes for header and 48 bytes payload. When compared to the cell sizes used in the previous technologies, the size of an ATM is small. The smaller size of the ATM cells gives us a major advantage. ATM enables us to transmit video, audio and data over the same network... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This should be done without any degradation in the performance or without requiring any replacement. 3.The design must be implemented in a less expensive method. In case the ATM becomes the backbone of the international communications the cost of implementing it should not be a major barrier. 4.The proposed system must ensure accurate and predictable delivery. This is possible only if ATM is a Connection Oriented system. 5.The major objective of ATM was to move most of the functionalities to the hardware side and have comparatively less functionalities in the software. This will ensure higher speed in the delivery of packets. It is clear from the above points that the major goal of ATM was to ensure guaranteed Quality of Service (QoS). To ensure this various service classes were defined by the ATM forum like Constant Bit Rate, Real time Variable Bit Rate, Non Real time Variable Bit Rate, Unspecified Bit Rate, Available Bit Rate. ARCHITECTURE OF ATM NETWORKS The ATM is a cell switched network as discussed previously. There are two important interfaces which acts as a backbone to the whole architecture of ATM. The first is Network to Network interface (NNI) and the other is the User to Network interface (UNI). The User to Network interface is used to connect the User access devices or the end points to the switches, while the Network to Network interface is used to connect various switches. In James and Christopher Collier s historical fiction book, My Brother Sam Is Dead, the story takes place during the American Revolution which occurred in 1775. I disliked all the landscape in the beginning, but I grew to be thankful for the extra description as the novel went on. Tolkien s world is complicated, with many mountain ranges, plains, deserts, jungles, and forests, and the rich description helps to keep them straight and also helps the reader imagine the world of Middle Earth. Generally fantasy books that are written for children have less information and more action, but not this one. This book is written with many long and occasionally some made up words. James instructed be quick to listen, slow to speak, slow to anger It is interesting that James placed, quick to listen first, why did he do this, to ensure the reader understands the importance of listening to the whole word not just hearing what they wanted to hear. James is encouraging the reader to listen to scripture whenever they get the chance for it is a sign of being a true Christian. The history behind research and research assistant relationships has a great deal to do with the history and the colonial era transition of researchers. In places like South Africa, the white researcher has less of an advantage in conducting research because populations are based on color and if you are white then you do not get as many opportunities to view the cultures of other people. Gender plays a major role in anthropological research assistants because taboos of opposite sex can cause complications of the research. • 27. Accounting Ethics Essay example The Bible and Accounting Ethics The Bible and accounting have numerous similarities when it comes to ethics. First, let us take a look at the definition of ethics; ethics are the beliefs that distinguish right from wrong. They are accepted standards of good and bad behavior (Wild, p.8). Therefore when comparing the two we are able to distinguish certain verses in the bible, with the code of ethics in accounting that are recognized in the accounting industry or any industry at that. There are a few verses that I would like to start off with, just to give the reader an idea of the many scriptures that pertain not only to accounting ethics but general code of ethics for any form of business. You shall not steal; you shall not deal... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Those changes can only come with hiring different people who have different backgrounds and ideas, and without that the company itself will not stand out to potential clients. Lastly I will discuss competition within different companies. When it comes to competition for different companies one company may think that wiping out their fellow competition would be beneficial to their business when in fact it is immoral. If you meet your enemy s ox or his donkey going astray, you shall bring it back to him. If you see the donkey of one who hates you lying down under its burden, you shall refrain from leaving him with it; you shall rescue it with him (Exodus 23:4 5, English Standard Version). Basically what this scripture is trying to get across is that even though they are competition it is moral to compete in a friendly way. Making it a goal to destroy that company because they are competition is unethical. For instance, put yourself in the competitor s shoes would you like it if your fellow competition was striving to put you out of business for their own personal gain? To be an honest company one must follow the ethics of the Bible, not only for personal reasons but to honor our Lord who will reward in the end. Citations Friedman, H. H. (2003). Synthesis Of Tert-Butyl Chloride Lab Report The objective surrounding the experiment outlined by this report is to perform an SN1 reaction to synthesize tert butyl chloride while recording the reactivity of the compound with sodium iodide and silver nitrate reagents. Nucleophilic substitution reactions, denoted SN1 or SN2, are characterized by a nucleophile(electron pair donor) reacting with an electrophile (electron pair acceptor) to break a bond at a carbon to form a new bond with that carbon.1 In order for the reaction to take place, a compound or element must break away from the electrophile, so it may accept electrons from the nucleophile.2 The octet rule must not be disobeyed and thus, the leaving group allows space for other electrons to attach. Additionally, the electronegativity of the chloride ion is a showing of how willing the ion is to donate elctrons, or rather how tightly the chloride ion holds those electrons to the nucleus. A low electronegativity indicates that the ion is larger in size and allows electrons to float more freely and also donates those outer electrons more

One of the most noble tasks for women is to raise children and to prepare them for the future. In the last century, women have become addicted to demanding more rights without justification. The United States of America must stand strong in denying women the right to have an abortion, equal pay, paid maternity leave, and political representation. Women must have the legal and ethical responsibility for keeping their unborn child because they are directly responsible for having that child in the first place. Furthermore, if a womancannot prevent an unwanted pregnancy, the unborn should not be used as a scapegoat.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Women have failed to capitalize on the right to vote ever since the ratification of the Nineteenth Amendment. For the most part, women do not desire to involve themselves in political affairs. Moreover, women who wanted to run for a political office often lacked the efficient management to run their campaign, and the adequate resources to use the media to advertise their campaign agenda. Since we live in a democratic country, women should never complain about their failure to gain adequate representation in the House of Representatives and the Senate. Society cannot do much more for women to win political elections and compete against men; women should learn how to support each other. In a free country, various groups of people, including women, will always demand certain rights that will serve their own agenda. It is healthy to compete and demand certain rights, but some women s rights are baseless and cannot be granted because women should not be treated more sympathetically just because they are women. For many of my generation and older, that is the tale that launched a thousand ships, pirate vessels all, in dreams of sudden and incalculable wealth. Decades later, any hope of sudden material wealth has slipped away like fog under a midmorning sun.
