expected to work daily for meager earnings. This process is exhibited in the engraving titled
Orphan Girls and Boys in a Welfare Institution. The images are set in Germany in 1846 and
display orphaned girls working in a sewing factory and boys working in a textile factory. This
depiction of boys and girls speaks volumes about gender roles when it comes to social standing
and job opportunities. In addition, these images show a very idealized version of child labor and
industrialization and argue that children should be a source of cheap labor to reduce the cost of

We stayed in the small town of Cortez, CO. It was a nice quite town with good 4th of July
fireworks. We ate at Destination Grill. It s next to the Holiday Inn. The food was really good
and it wasn t crowed. If you go take some time look at the pictures that they have hanging up
around the restaurant. Cortez is about a 20 minute drive from the entrance to Mesa Verde
National Park. We had a 9:00 a.m. tour that left from Far View Lodge. We read that we needed to
arrive really early because traffic in the park was bad. The lodge was about 30 minutes inside the
park. There was no traffic that early in the morning, so we got there early. We had time to look
around the gift shop and look out at the Far View the lodge is named after. If you have a tour this...
I highly recommend this tour because we got a lot more information on the park than we would
ve gotten if would have driven around the park ourselves. With the 700 years tour we got to take
a bus around the park with a very knowledgeable guide. We got to stop a different kevias and
learned how they were built. We also got to go down into Cliff Palace. This is a ranger led
program. Our guide was from Tennessee, but he knew so much information about Mesa Verde
and Cliff Palace. I recommend touring Cliff Palace and the rest of Mesa Verde during the
morning if you re visiting during the summer. We toured Cliff Palace at 10:30 and it was
complete shade. Cliff Palace is not a hike that you need to take if you have heart, hip, knee, or
shoulder problems. This hike requires climbing down steep stairs and climbing ladders. There is
one short ladder before you get to Cliff Palace, and then there is a very long ladder when you
leave Cliff Palace. Bring water when you come to Mesa Verde, even in the morning. Also be
mindful of altitude changes. Cliff Palace is located at a 7,000 foot attitude. My house in
Tennessee is located at 440 feet. So it s easy to get winded even if you re not really doing that

The numbers are quoted on their
Web sites and in their corporate documents with a tremendous sense of pride. However, becoming
diverse should not be thought of as a goal. In reality it s a train that has
already left the station.
So what does diversity mean in today s corporate world? Many organizations have rapidly become
diverse. With shifting populations in the United States, achieving diversity doesn t require much
effort.
But for many, diversity is still a code word for afп¬Ѓrmative action. Many companies have
developed diversity programs, but their only metric for success is measuring the hiring and
promotion of women and people of color. Yet progressive companies understand that diversity
management extends far beyond hitting the numbers or compliance. It includes a wide range of
activities designed to proactively create an inclusive work culture succinctly described by the U.S.

Training Corp. as an environment that gives all members of the workforce the opportunity to be
productive, without disadvantaging anyone.
Having diversity, while inevitable, does not automatically bring harmony, success and profitability.

Jim Carrey Analysis
The purpose of art is to bring people into presence Jim Carrey .The particular artist that I chose is
an artist in many different realms though he is an accomplished actor he also is a painter and has
painted for most of his life it was not until recently that his art work has been showcased. That
artist that I am talking about is Jim Carrey. I feel that his artwork shows emotional depth has an
interesting color schemes and really lets us go into his mind through the use of his art.
The artwork that I have seen of Carrey s is emotional I understand that art is all about how one
perceives their art and it can mean many things to many different people. For instance, when I look
at his work I can see the emotion that he was trying to convey in the type of brush work that his
painting has. I also understand that I could have chosen another artist that is more skillful or has
been in the art world longer but with that being said that is why art is amazing it does not judge.
Art has its own universal language. When I look at his paintings I can see and almost feel the work
and feeling that goes into his work. When I look at it I feel the emotional depth. For example, he
has this painting of Jesus Christ and it makes you wonder about everything our whole existence is
based off of but like I said that is just my viewpoint.
Another thing I have noticed about his artwork is that he uses a lot of interesting colors that pop
out at you that demand attention. In a lot of his paintings
