Case Study Of Trump s One China Policy
So far, Trump has managed to antagonize the Mexican president and the Islamic world as well as harangue
the Australian prime minister and the French president. More interestingly, after reaching out to his
Chinese counterpart via a letter in which he expressed a desire to form a constructive relationship , Trump
decided to accept the traditional US approach of pursuing a One China policy.
US defence secretary James Mattis was in Asia recently as the first member of the Trump cabinet on
foreign shores for talks with Japan and South Korea two of America s closest allies. This visit was an
attempt to underscore the importance of Asia in Trump s foreign policy matrix.

Though he took on China by suggesting that it shredded the trust of nations in the region with the island
building and by using political pressure on states in the region, he refrained from calling for an increase in
American military presence in the region. Abe s visit to the US last week saw Tokyo offering direct
financial, engineering and technical input for Trump s proposed infrastructure development programme as
well as other proposals for cooperation in cutting edge technologies such as commercial aircraft, robots
and artificial intelligence. This plan, the Japan US growth and employment initiative , is the centrepiece of
Abe s outreach to Trump. Tokyo is hoping to embed the larger US Japan relationship in the economic
leverage that it can bring to bear on it.
In South Korea, Mattis addressed the controversy over the joint decision to deploy a Terminal High
Altitude Area Defence (Thaad) battery in response to North Korean ballistic missile development. He had
already reaffirmed American commitment to the deployment of a Thaad system to defend against North
Korean ballistic missiles despite recent pressure from China to cancel the deployment.

Free Speech For Sale Essay
Under the constitution, every American has the right of free speech, but does free speech matter if no one
can hear it? Free Speech for sale reveals the painful truth that free speech, and the certainty that one will be
heard, is guaranteed only to those who can afford it. And corporations can afford it. Whether through
purchasing massive amounts of advertising for political purposes, or by owning the companies that bring
people the news, powerful corporations are able to drown out the voices that disagree with them and it s all
perfectly legal. To me, this situation calls into question how true our democracy really is. Are we as the
voters receiving the thorough information we need to make decisions? Or are we being fed censored or ...

The news organizations they own barely bothered to report on this pending legislation even as the
corporate owners (NBC, ABC, CBS and Fox) were lobbying Congress hard for what amounted to a
corporate giveaway estimated to be worth $70 billion. This definitely deals with special interests, and what
a corporation, or in this case corporations, will do to protect them. The act was passed because of the
corporations giving money to members of Congress. Sure it may seem a bit manipulative, but it is totally
legal under the constitution.
Media corporations have been merging into fewer (and larger) entities which are better able to control the
flow of information to the public. Because of their size and power, they can prevent unfavorable coverage
of their activities in the media outlets they own. In 1983, 50 corporations controlled the vast majority of all
news media in the U.S. In 1992, fewer than two dozen of these corporations owned and operated 90% of
the mass media; controlling almost all of America s newspapers, magazines, TV and radio stations, books,
records, movies, videos, wire services and photo agencies. Now only 5 huge corporations Time Warner,
Disney, Murdoch s News Corporation, Bertelsmann of Germany, and Viacom (formerly CBS) now control
most of the media industry in the U.S. General Electric s NBC is a close sixth. Democracy can t exist

Common Causes Of World War I
Through two world wars, there have been many similarities and differences over the course of this time. It
is easy to discuss both wars and how it changed the world, but when comparing common causes of the war
the overall common factors are the imperialism and nationalism that caused these devastating wars to take
place, along with instability both economically and politically all over the world right before the wars took
place. There is so much background history leading up to what started both tragic wars and it is important
to highlight factors like the economics and politics leading up to the war and the economic life and politics
taking place during both world wars along with the leaders that got these wars to go from a war between a
couple countries to a war affecting countries all over the world.
Even though this was not a cause of the war it is important to note that in both World War I and in World
War II there were sides that were chosen. It was a battle of the Central Powers against the Allies. The
Central Powers were made up of Germany, the Ottoman Empire, and Austria. While the Allies made up of
Britain, France, Russia, Italy and the United States. In World War II the alliances made were the Axis
Powers and the Allies. The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

1. Harris told Houston that he needed a couple of weeks to think about his proposal. How should Houston
handle this?
Harris is using what is called a time objection also known as stalling technique. In this particular case
study Harris already has the need fulfilled by a different supplier and while they have had a few late
deliveries Harris need to determine if it worth going through all of the work to get set up a new vendor.
The time objection is often one of the hardest objections to gauge because it can mean many different
things. In certain cases changing product can be a major process and can be very time consuming. With
such a major change it is understandable that buyers want to take ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

After uncovering any further objections and gaining an understanding of where Harris sits, Houston could
begin to press and push for a sense of urgency. If Harris did not have any doubts there would be no need
for a two week period to think. Pushing can be a sensitive task because if Houston pushes too hard he
could destroy his relationship and his chance of doing business with the buyer. If all else fails and the
buyer insists on taking time to think Houston should establish a firm follow up appointment as soon as
possible.
3. What techniques should Houston have used to overcome the fore stalling tactic?
There are certain times in which it is impossible to prevent forestalling, but there are things a sales person
can do to try and prevent objections. Utilizing the LAARC method gives is a good step in combating
resistance and objections. The LAARC methods uses five steps to avoid objections which are to listen,
acknowledge, assess, respond and confirm. Listening is always the most important part of sales. Buyer will
often tell you exactly what they are looking for if you keep you mouth shut and listen. Active listening
shows respect as well as arms a sales person will exactly what the buyer is looking for. Part of active
listening is acknowledging what a buyer is saying. If you acknowledge that it proves that not only are you

Brony Fandom Analysis
Five separate areas of analysis dealing with various facets of the Brony fandom are contained in this
chapter. The first three sections explore areas of conflict between Bronies and traditional masculinity. Each
segment explores how fans choose to handle situations that are adverse to their fandom. First, an
examination of quantitative data relating to the demographics and potential influential factors of self
disclosure practices of Bronies will take place. Secondly, issues of harassment towards Bronies as told by
the fans will look at the methods society attempts to corral the fandom for their transgressions against
gender norms. In response to these attacks of character, some fans will not disclose their fandom to others.

The Potential Misuse of Genetic Engineering and Cloning
Human s wisdom has not yet caught up to their capability in science and technology. Genetics are being
experimented which could alter human evolution. This technology, genetic alteration, is close to being
used by the public. Cloning is a form of genetic alteration and experimentation. More legislation should be
passed to further restrict genetic experimentation due to the possible misuses of the technology.
There are many different forms of cloning. There is cloning in nature which helps with farming and has
been around for thousands of year. The cloning of animals and humans is another form. The first cloned
animals were created by Hans Driesch in the late 1800 s. His goal was to prove that genetic material is not
lost during cell division. While testing sea urchins, the results ended up with two identical sea urchins.
There were no major advances in cloning until November of 1951, when Robert Briggs cloned a frog
embryo. We now have the technological advancements to clone a human being.
Nuclear transfer is how most of cloning is done. It is the introduction of the nucleus from a cell into an egg
cell that has had its own nucleus removed. This can be accomplished through fusion of the cell to the egg
or through the direct removal of the nucleus from the cell and the subsequent transplantation of that
nucleus into the egg cell that has had its own nucleus removed.
Genetic engineering is not completely a bad thing. Humans and animals are not the only thing that can be

The Fall of the Berlin Wall and the Disintegration of the...
Communism is defined as a political and economical doctrine, the aim which is to abolish private
ownership of property and for profit enterprise and to replace these with public ownership and control of
industry, agriculture, and resources ( Communism ). The product of this government is supposed to be a
society free of class ranking based on wealth, property, and political power. The Soviet Union was the first
country to test these governmental strategies and it did not take long for the regime to collapse. The
inevitable collapse of communism led to the fall of the Berlin Wall; this started the domino effect of
freedom that ultimately led to the collapse of the Soviet Union.

During the Soviet Union regime the health care system became socialized and citizens were allowed to
have full health care without charge. The Soviet Union was also the first country to have an equal number
of hospital beds to citizens (Hoeppler). Even though they had great access to heath care the hospitals
lacked the essentials needed for the hospitals to operate up to standards. In 1990, 24 percent of hospitals
did not have adequate pluming, 19 percent lacked central heat, 45 percent lacked bathrooms or showers, 49
percent had no hot water, and 15 present operated without any water at all (Hoeppler). These conditions
were unacceptable according to Boris Yeltsin.
In June of 1991, Yeltsin won the presidential election in Russia. He became the first Russian leader to
stand in a legitimate election. Yeltsin inspired mass demonstrations against the 1991 attempt to overthrow
Gorbachev s, the president before him, government ( The Fall of the Soviet Union ). This brought him
popularity. Yeltsin decided to capitalize on his popularity by going forward with radical reform policies.
After doing things like banning the CPSU, confiscating CPSU s assets, and distributing the state s assets to
the populace. So, it did not take Yeltsin much time at all to start to dismantle the Soviet Union ( The Fall of
the Soviet Union ).
The fall of the Soviet Union became the most dramatic event of the twentieth century. With the Soviet

Do Not Go Gentle Into That Goodnight, By Emily Dickinson
Death is the concern in of both Dylan Thomas Do Not Go Gentle into That Goodnight, and Emily
Dickinson s Because I Could Not Stop for Death . Moreover, while these two poets use similar themes in
their works, the execution and tone of their respective pieces could not be more antithetical. More to the
point, Thomas poem paints death and oblivion as something deserving of fear and dread, and even though
dying is an immutable fact in our world, man will always feel the need to have, Rage, Rage against the
dying of the light . However, Dickinson does not let the fear of death consume her, so much so, that in her
poem she embraces death as nothing less than a gentleman, who in her own words kindly stopped for me .
At the end of it all, Dylan Thomas poem is a loud boisterous proclamation about the desperation of man to
hold on to life and to leave something behind but ultimately realizing they cannot, while Dickinson s is a
quiet reflection about the cyclical nature of life and death and the peace the end brings. Dylan Thomas
aforementioned poem is about battling against the rising tide, while still knowing there truly is no stopping
it. More to the point, the author is conveying that man will always fight against the ire of death and in the
interim, try to avert it, but in the long term, hope that something in their legacy leaves a worthwhile
impact. Fight against the dying of the light, is a call to action; every person will fight to hold on to this life

These three sub themes were chosen because they each play a role in educating African children. The three
sub themes provide a narrow focus on the overall right to education in Africa. The first two pictures
included in the sub theme access to education are pictures which represent the overcrowding of
classrooms. These pictures are included because according to Schanzenbach (2014) class size can be
correlated to future student outcomes. The smaller the student to teacher ratio is the better the future
outcome of the individual child. The following two pictures are included to further the understanding of
access to education in relation to safety. There are many safety factors that can impact a child s education.
Safety concerns are one of the main reasons children are not attending school or are found underachieving
(Asante Africa Foundation, 2013). The last picture of this sub category is included to help visualize how
many children in sub Sahara Africa are not attending school due to an unstable country. Poirier (2012)
mentions how conflicted countries in Africa produce major damage to public infrastructures, and
contribute to the displacement of populations. Armed conflicts heavily impact the enrolment rates of
children in school. In 2009, 27 million people worldwide were displaced due to armed conflicts of this 27

Testing Is The Measurement Of Software Quality
Testing is the measurement of software quality. It is the practice of making objective judgments regarding
the extent to which the system meets, exceeds or fails to meet stated objectives. A good testing program is
a tool for both the developer and the end user; it basically identifies the end of the development part of the
project, establishes the criteria for project acceptance, and establishes the start of the warranty period.
Testing Program is a selective innovation that permits you to perform web testing all the more rapidly,
proficiently, and regularly, which implies you can instantly recognize the main driver of any bottlenecks or
issues and regulate them. We make it simple for you to measure the performance and trustworthy of your
site so they meet business and client experience desires. Testing should be represented in the early phase of
the software advancement life cycle, the expense of fixing the bug is bigger if testing is not done in prior
stage and bugs found in later stages. In the todays aggressive market just the quality items stay long
lasting, so to ensure they create the great quality item the testing of utilization is key variable in SDLC.
There are two fundamental purposes of testing they are verifying procurement specifications and managing
risk. First, testing is about verifying that what was specified is what was delivered it verifies that the
product meets the functional, performance, design, and implementation requirements

The life of teens going to black tie events every week or so even in New York can be unrealistic. Another
fault viewers might complain about is the plots of some episodes may seem obvious or happen too fast.
Viewers can be left with disappointment because some issues can be left resolved with simple solutions, or
some can be completely ignored altogether. Specifically, a scene in the show has a con man pretending to

money is back. In that case, I actually wanted to see how she got the money back, and I was left confused

What Is The Impact Of Technology On The Banking World
Date Technology s Impact on Society in the Banking World Technology s impact on society has changed in
many areas of our lives. Technology has changed travel, you can now book your own plane ticket without
going to a traveler s agency, schooling you can take classes online, and have access to doctors and
medicine without having to leave your home. I chose to write about the topic of banking. With the help of
technology banks are able to reach out to more customers and provide better services to them. How has
technology affected the world of banking? What choices do we have when it comes to our banking needs?
With the advance technology, banking has become a 24 hours a day and seven days a week ability. Not too
long ago banks were only open from 9:00am to 3:00pm, workers and businesses rushing to get to the bank
before they close. Paychecks were handed out personally not direct deposit, cashing or depositing a
paycheck entailed a trip to the bank. Now most companies have direct deposit and the printed paycheck is
becoming a thing of the past, this is only one example of how technology in banking has changed in
society. The electronic banking (e banking) can be described as the automated method of new and
traditional banking services which reduce cost, and simplify front and backend process satisfying
customers. (In software engineering, the terms of front end and back end are distinctions which refer to the

The Relationship Between Ghrelin And Eating Disorders
What Is the Relationship Between Ghrelin and Eating Disorders?
Introduction:
Ghrelin, commonly referred to as the hunger hormone, is a 28 amino acid peptide that has many important
roles in human digestion including regulation of growth hormone release, enhancement of appetite, and
increase of food intake (1). This gut derived peptide could play an extremely important role in the altered
eating behaviors of patients with eating disorders. Increased fasting plasma ghrelin levels have been
consistently reported in underweight patients with anorexia nervosa. Circulating levels of this hormone
have also been found to be enhanced in symptomatic bulimic patients, while also being blunted in response
to balanced meals (4).
Because of ghrelin s effect on appetite and its suggested role in eating disorders, this research will aim to
investigate ghrelin s relationship with anorexia nervosa (AN) and bulimia nervosa (BN). The following
paper will determine exactly how these eating disorders influence ghrelin regulation or how ghrelin levels
may influence the eating disorders themselves. This paper will examine ghrelin s functions, the two eating
disorders, and what that relationship precisely is by examining ghrelin s metabolic actions as well as two
clinical trials that explore its role in bulimia nervosa and anorexia nervosa.
Metabolic Basis Ghrelin has many roles in the body s metabolism, one of which is serving as the natural
ligand for the growth hormone secretagogue receptor.

sleep usually under the age of one. It is also known as crib death because the death usually occurs in the
crib. Sudden Infant Death Syndrome claims the lives of approximately 2,500 infants each year. The
majority of SIDS deaths occur between 2 and 4 month year olds. The cause of SIDS is usually known and
there are a number of causes. Causes of SIDS include: smoking or drinking during pregnancy, inadequate
prenatal responsibility, prematurity, inexperienced mothers, smoking near or around the baby, enormous

invaded and attacked by off worlders, she escapes to search for help to save the rest of her people that had
survived their torture. A warrior from the Tribe Argentus, Tam, finds Nissa s cryo pod. Many of the woman
in his tribe withered away from disease, causing many of the men to not find a mate or to give up from a
broken bond. In his tribe, bonding is sacred and connects twos souls. When Tam finds Nissa s pod and
awakens her, the only way to save her is to bond with her. I do think that the first chapter moves a little
fast, and it escalates to something very hot and steamy quickly. Neither of the two understand each other,

David Kolb s Framework Of Experiential Learning
A big proponent of ESL learning, what my case study consists of, can be compared to David Kolb s
framework of experiential learning. Kolb s experiential learning cycle features four stages: the concrete
experience, reflective observation, abstract conceptualisation, and active experimentation. The first stage,
concrete experience, involves doing or having an experience. The second stage, reflective observation,
involves reviewing or reflecting on the experience. The third stage, abstract conceptualisation, involves
concluding or learning from the experience. The fourth stage, active experimentation, involves planning or
trying out what you learned. ISLA, which stands for Immersion for Spanish Language Acquisition,
facilitates a supportive environment for Hispanic children to learn and explore in Spanish. ISLA mission is
to provide cost free heritage language classes, taught 100% in Spanish, include literacy, science, arts, and

Cesar Duran Research Paper
A child s parents have decided to name their newborn baby Iron Maiden because the father believes the
name will make the youngster tough like his British heavy metal band heroes. Cesar Duran, 24, is a huge
Iron Maiden fan, and decided to name his son born on 2nd February after the British band. As a result, the
boy s name is Iron Maiden Duran Ruiz, and it has now been approved and stamped on his official birth
certificate. Dad Cesar said: I love that band, but this is not the main reason to name him like that, because
we also got inspired by the Iron Maiden mascot Eddie. My wife and I want him to be a little beast, a little
devil, and if he takes after his namesake and he really wants something he will have all the strength to keep

Trace Evidence
Crime Scene/Scenario #1 Sacramento, CA July 1986 Allan Dakin, 50, is bicycling toward his favorite
fishing spot. He stops at a flooded irrigation ditch and works his way down to check his crawdad traps
when he spots a young blond female, floating in the water face down. He panics, heads home to notify
authorities. Sheriff deputies and local fire department respond first to the scene at 8:45 am, and push the
body using a long gaff to the opposite bank where the victim will not drift downstream.

victim from the water in a way that will not disturb any evidence left on the victims body, making certain
they are careful to not damage the body, leave any evidence in the water, or further contaminate the body.
They pull out a 5 8 , 150lb young female with short blond hair and brown eyes, I have recorded this
information using the Crime Scene and Human Figure Templates (Swanson et al 54). I will now establish
what happened here, determine the sequence of events; find out what the perpetrator did, and note
inconsistencies. After organizing the crime scene I am interviewing Allan Dakin. I will ask what he was
doing here, how he found the body, why was he here, and take down all his information for later
interrogation. Once I have interviewed witnesses, I can properly document and recover physical evidence
in the evidence recovery log, and photographs (Swanson et al 49). Anything can be physical evidence so it
is crucial that nothing be touched or tampered with until assessed. I am looking for fingerprints, tire tracks,
tools, weapons, damaged areas, palm prints and any body materials. I see that there are twigs stuck in the
victim s bra strap, and there is dirt on her back and shoulders. I collect those twigs and dirt samples as
evidence so that the forensic team may later test them using genetic fingerprinting to see if

Atlantic Canada A History Case Study
In chapter 12 of Atlantic Canada A History; Margaret R. Conrad and James K. Hiller are trying to show the
poor economic situation that the Maritimes and Newfoundland faced in between the first and second
World Wars. The rest of North America seemed to be moving on and achieving economic success, but this
was not the case for the Maritimes and Newfoundland. In this chapter Conrad and Hiller try to find the
factors that affected the economy in the Maritimes and Newfoundland during this time. Conrad and Hillers
research show that the Maritimes often had a lot of bad luck when it came to achieving economic success.
Their research shows that Cape Breton and New Brunswick had potential for economic success through

Swot Analysis Of Lennar Home Builders, Inc.
Strategic planning requires all levels of an organization, from the head of the company to the most junior
member, to think about where the organization is today and how they can influence the organization to
move forward in a positive manner to attain its goals (profit, growth, downsizing, etc.). One method used
in strategic planning is for an organization to conduct a Strengths, Weakness, Opportunities, and Threats
(SWOT) analysis. Just as the name implies, a SWOT analysis looks at the four dimensions that can affect
an organization. One business that can benefit from a SWOT analysis is Lennar Home Builders, Inc. This
assignment will focus on one of the largest national offices for this company, located in Miami, FL. First,
the paper will describe the history, products, and major competitors of one of the largest home builders in
the country. Next, the focus shifts to create a SWTO analysis detailing the strengths, weaknesses,
opportunities, and threats that may affect the organization. The assignment begins with a brief discussion
on Lennar Homes, one of the most successful home builders in Florida and the United States. In 1954,
Gene Fischer and Arnold Rosen created a new home building company names F R Builders in Miami,
Florida. Over the next 17 years, the company grew until it rebranded and renamed itself into Lennar
Corporation and became a public company. Slowly, the company grew and expanded from builders to

Anton Chekhov s The Cherry Orchard
Anton Chekhov s The Cherry Orchard Analysis of Comedic Characters Anton Chekhov s The Cherry
Orchard is one of his most famous plays, despite the fact that the comedic aspect is often questioned. The
Cherry Orchard records the tale of a wealthy Russian family who are faced with the loss of their estate due
to bankruptcy, while also facing the reality of losing their beloved cherry orchard. Titled as a comedy, it
seeks to disclose the family and household dynamics during this brief period. The wealthy family is in so
much debt that they are being forced to sell their beloved cherry orchard, a symbol of the affluent past that
the family was accustomed to. The Cherry Orchard does not appear to be a comedy in our modern day
sense of the word, which is the reason that it can be so difficult for the 21st century reader to understand
why the play is labeled a comedy and not a tragedy. In Checkhov s work, the characters are one of the
most prominent comedic forces driving the play. French philosopher Henri Bergson s once summarized
comedic character by saying that, Comedic character is rigid or inflexible in circumstances that demand a
resiliency of the mind or body (Fiero). Through the lens of this definition, we conclude that the primary
circumstances that demand(s) a resiliency of the mind or body for the characters in The Cherry Orchard
are the selling of the cherry orchard and the loss of their class prominence. We will be considering
Chekhov s comedic style

The Creation Of Sputnik
On October 4, 1957 the Soviet Union launched a satellite called Sputnik 1 into space. This marked the start
of the space race. Americans were terrified of the chance of the Soviet s sending missiles from space.
However Dwight. D. Eisenhower was not scared and did not do much.
About a month later on November 3, 1957 the Soviets launched a new spacecraft called Sputnik 2. Sputnik
2 sent the first animal into space, it was named Laika. Lakia did not survive, but the Russians were in the
lead.

server a paramount and simple to spell address. At the same time, the domain names keep the truly
technical IP address undetectable for most viewers..
Example: about.com, japantimes.co.jp, spain.info
How are they spelled?
1) Domain names are sorted out right to left, with general descriptors to one side(right), and particular
descriptors to other side(left).
2) It is similar to family surnames to one side, particular individual names to one side. These descriptors
are called domains .
3) The top level domains (TLD, or parent domain) is to the most distant right of an domain name. Mid
level domains (youngsters and grandchildren) are in the middle. The machine name, regularly www , is to
the far left.
4) Levels of domains are isolated by periods ( dots ).

The Dangers of Total Equality in Harrison Bergeron
Kurt Vonnegut, Jr. s Harrison Bergeron tells the story of an unbelievably talented young man that defies
the constraints of total equality in futuristic America, year 2081. Because of the 211th, 212th, and 213th
amendments, all citizens are subjected to a communist like state where everyone is made to be equal in
beauty, physique, and intelligence. Throughout Harrison Bergeron, symbols such as Harrison s defiance of
the law, his physical attributes, and the setting presents the theme of the story as the idea that total equality
would be disastrous. Harrison s defiance against the government symbolizes the rebellious nature of many
people everywhere and in every time period. Harrison breaks out of the prison that he was put into for
being so dominant, just to show everyone what he can become. He exclaims to the audience, Even as I
stand here he bellowed, crippled, hobbled, sickened I am a greater ruler than any man who ever lived!
Now watch me become what I can become! (Vonnegut 5). His rebelliousness is a product of his human
competitive nature. Throughout all of time, people have always strived to be better than one another, and
to be different as well. The Olympics, Miss Universe, and the Nobel Prize are all examples of rewards
people receive when competing against one another to show exactly who is best. Being able to show one s
talents allows for more individuality to be recognized. Notably, Harrison s physical characteristics

In Voltaire s novella Candide, the main character s newly found wealth from an idealized Eldorado is
exploited by the world s fixation of greed that ultimately effects himself and others as he learns that money
cannot buy happiness. Candide is brought up amongst greed, reared in a castle in a small corner of the

by this example of money and power. His journey into the world, after his expulsion, begins with the

Eldorado s jewels create ambitious greed in Candide, overshadowing his main concern of surviving for his
Cunegonde. Candide truly believes in the philosophy that indeed everything is for the best and Eldorado is
the ideal place for this notion to flourish but he leaves this beautiful dream out of spite because he cannot
function in a society that cannot be bought (Silver 2). The very true world he despises is actually the only
place he has succeeded.
After leaving Eldorado with numerous sheep packed with goods and fifty loaded with gold, jewels, and
diamonds they are only left with two after a hundred days march that strained the convoy to its limits of
starvation (Voltaire 39). They reach a Dutch town where they learn that Miss Cunegonde is a mistress to

The Rights Of Gay Rights
Gay Rights has always been a controversial topic. People have fought and argued over this simple human
right for years and now we are finally seeing progress. The Gay Rights Movement started on 1924 by
Henry Gerber, founder of The Society for Human Rights, the first documented Gay Rights organization
according to CNN news. From the start homosexuality was considered a sociopathic personality
disturbance which was diagnosed by the American Psychiatric Association in April 1952. When
homosexuality became a hot topic, President Dwight D. Eisenhower singed an executive order that banned
all homosexuals from working for the Federal Government saying they are a security risk. Which I can see
why it was signed, homosexuals are very sassy and can put you in check which the government wouldn t
like. Fast forward to 2005, the state of California was one of the first states to pass a bill allowing same sex
marriage and on June 26, 2015 the Supreme Court ruled that a state cannot ban same sex marriage which
handed the best victory for gay advocates everywhere in America. Although Gay Rights have come a long
way in America there is always room for more improvement such as discrimination on getting a job or
adopting just because of your sexual orientation.

There are more than one ways that the holocaust is very similar to the Genocide in Armenia. Like Hitler,
The Turkish government had devised and set into motion a plan to exterminate more than one million of
turkeys Armenians. Like the holocaust in Germany, the genocide in Armenia had a lot to do with religion
and in almost a super similar situation to the holocaust, it all started to go bad when a group called the
young Turks decided they wanted all the power and wanted any religion but theirs out of turkey. By April

The Yarra River has been around since 1835 and is still around today, in the heart of Melbourne. Although,
there has been a significant build up of toxic from the CSIRO uranium processing near the Yarra River (

the Yarra had built up a decent amount of chemicals and toxins. The 2009 dredging project was removing
and dumping the toxic sediment from the Yarra into the bays dumpsites. This evidently decreased the
quality of the water and affects the marine life and their habitats, our beaches and us and people who swim
in this now contaminated water. There is now high levels of toxins in local fish, eels and mussels. In
January 2017, 36 beaches were deemed unsafe to swim in due to high levels of faecel pollution. This

The Female Characters Of Mary Shelley s Frankenstein
The female characters in Frankenstein represent the treatment of women in the early 1800 s. Women who
are deprived of their female roles and are enclosed in a feminine sphere of domesticity. In the novel,
Frankenstein, the women characters are treated as property and have little privileges in relationship to the
male characters, the women suffer and are eventually destroyed showing how unimportant they are in the
book s society, and when it comes to reproduction of human s, man thinks it pointless to have women play
that role. These attacks on the innocent prove that women are second rate in the novel.
The women in Frankenstein are forced to be submissive. Victor treats Elizabeth more like a possession or
object instead of a living, breathing human being. Elizabeth is passive around Victor. She and other women
of the novel, are accepting of the male controlled society being the powerful figure because that is what
they were raised to follow (Kolker). Men withdraw the women of their rights thus the women are forced to
act well mannered. Like Elizabeth s destruction, the monsterette s creation and destruction dramatize how
women do not function in their own right but rather as signs and conduits for men s relations with other
men (Smith 323). Elizabeth possesses herself as being quiet and calm. This quiet behavior adds to the fact
that she is a possession and not an individual. All praises bestowed on her, I received as made to a
possession of my own (Shelly 44).

By 1998, Newell was considering a merger with Rubbermaid Incorporated to form a new company,

Martin Luther King Jr. was a hero to some and a villain, to others but no matter what way the people
viewed him, he influenced US history forever. He was an African American Baptist minister, a social
activist from Georgia, a father of four children, and a loving husband. He stood for peace, equality, and
justice, especially for African Americans and the socially disadvantaged. The pastor became a Civil Rights
leader due to the tension in the south. Little did he know, he became the man that was considered to be the
driving force behind the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and Voting Rights Act of 1965. His first attempt to

was known to be one of the most racist, most segregated towns in the south. The African Americans
nicknamed the town Bombington because there were so many unsolved cases of random bombings in
Birmingham. They called the day they marched D day. It was a silently planned protest. Kids were leaving
school by the classroom, teachers were encouraging them to help the campaign. Kids from all over joined
and parents were worried but proud. Organized by Martin Luther King, hundreds of African American
children marched from the Baptist church to Birmingham. They were in groups of 50 and all 922 of them
were all bussed to the jail, happily. The purpose of this non violent protest was to show that the African
American community was not afraid of the whites anymore. They all came together and would stand up
for what is right because they technically weren t doing anything wrong to the whites. With the fame he
was getting from the civil rights movement, Martin Luther King began to pick up a lot of new civil rights

Negative Effects Of Technology And Social Media
Technology and social media in today s world are evolving tremendously. When stepping outside into the
streets, a rare count of faces appear to be looking up. Instead those faces are being shoved into their
phones. These two objects are becoming so intriguing, that many lose sight of the beautiful city or town
they are currently roaming through. Today people rely solely on technology instead of interacting face to
face. It is destroying the interaction between people communicating in person. Communicating and
connecting in person is a vital source all over the world, without it people will become lost, the use of
technology and social media should be limited. Many believe social media is the answer to almost all
problems happening in their lives. Feeling sad? Easiest way to fix that is to watch funny videos on
YouTube or play Pandora music. Bored? Candy crush or Imessage games on the iPhone is the got to.
Interested in seeing what friends or family members are up to? Just check Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat,
or Twitter. Many believe that each application that is available for download are great and essential for
having a phone. When it comes to texting or calling, according to the essay No Need to Call , Sherry
Turkle makes it well known that people today would rather text than call and talk over the phone or in
person. Not only do people say that a phone call asks too much, they worry it will be received as
demanding too much (Turkle 375). They believe that talking over the phone is a big burden to others, so
they rather email or send a text message so that others can reply on their own time. The use of technology
and social media, helps to find valuable information easy. There is no waiting on a letter, telegram, or
tuning into the radio at a certain time of the day. It is as simple as logging onto a computer or telephone,
and accessing the internet browser to complete a Google, Yahoo, or Bing search. The answer for majority
of the questions will show up immediately. In the essay Small Change; Why the Revolution Will Not Be

within the same lagoon. A wealth of culture and unique island life waits for you to explore in each island.
Hop to an uninhabited island without the sign of a human presence and explore its features perfectly

The Maltese Front And The Novel Of The Maltese Falcon
The film of the Maltese Falcon and the novel of the Maltese Falcon share some stark differences along
with certain similarities that the film and novel hold. John Huston who directed the film of the Maltese
Falcon shows Sam Spade a little differently as to how Dashiell Hammett portrays him. Both do share some
commonalities between them, yet we see a greater split from novel to film in the final scene of the Maltese
Falcon. The film portrays Spade as this stoic, cold hearted detective. Yet, the novel displays Spade as a
more dominate grabbing man that needs answers now. The film differs from the novel as we see Spade
portrayed in the film as a cold and stoic character as we see him in the novel as a more dominate and
persistent character. As we progress through the final scene Sam Spade briskly moves on to alert the
authorities about having Cairo and Gutman on the move. The novel shows Sam after putting the receiver
down to appear nervous he wet his lips and looked down at his hands. Their palms were wet. He filled his
deep chest with air. His eyes we glittering between straightened lids (p. 574). As to the film when we see
Spade hang up the phone he briskly approaches Brigid trying to get as much information out of her as he
can before the police arrive in the film at 1:28:52. As we see in the novel Hammett wanted to show Spade
as being nervous for what is about to happen and for how aggressive he will be in order to get all of the
information needed prior to the police arriving. Huston doesn t show any of that, but goes straight into
getting all of the information out of Brigid as soon as possible. Leaving a major lack in character for the
film Spade as compared to the novel Spade. Next, we follow to see Spade grabs Brigid and says G d damn
you, talk! (p. 575) which shows Spade as a dominate and demanding individual. The significance of him
grabbing executes this notion of dominance and the meaning of how important this is to Spade. In the film
Spade at that moment wasn t as forceful to get this information out of Brigid. Around 1:29:26 Spade was
standing badgering Brigid with question after question, in addition to asking rhetorical questions that
Spade already knew the answer for. Having Spade in the

Mid-Term Examination
In my social psychology class, there was a recent examination given to the class. It was the mid term
examination. For the mid term examination, the class was instructed to read chapter s 1 6 in the text book.
The class was also instructed to study for the exam by reviewing the lecture notes. In this paper I will
focus on a few questions I answered incorrectly on my mid term examination. The exam contained 48
multiple choice questions and two true/false questions. Out of this 50 questions total, I answered 18
incorrectly. One of the questions I will focus on is located on the second page. The question reads, Nicole
has just met some new people in her dorm. During a discussion on campus issues, she modifies her
opinions so that they match ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I now see that covariation model is definitely not the answer. Another choice was the representativeness
heuristic. A mental shortcut through which people classify something as belonging to a certain category to
the extent that it is similar to a typical case from that category is the definition of representativeness
heuristic (Kenrick, Neuberg, Cialdini 78). The correct answer to question 30, which is a definition, is
correspondent inference theory. Franklin dislikes the Rush Limbaugh radio talk show. At a party, Franklin
meets Jefferson, who lavishly praises the Rush Limbaugh show. Franklin takes an instant dislike to
Jefferson. Which of the following psychological theories would best predict Franklin s response to
Jefferson (Huck) , was also one of the questions I missed on the mid term. This is question 46 which is
located on the seventh page. For this question I answered reciprocity theory. I don t even know if there is a
reciprocity theory but there is a norm of reciprocity. The norm of reciprocity requires that we repay others
with the form of behavior they have given us (Kenrick, Neuberg, Cialdini, 196). Franklin did not repay
Jefferson with the same behavior so this is not the answer. The balance theory states that we all prefer to

Beowulf Chapter 8 Summary
In chapter 8, the king s brother dies and now he has to watch his nephew. At first they like the fact that
they get to take care of his nephew but Hrothgar suspects that his nephew is going to plot against him.
Wealtheow knows that when Hrothulf grows up he will begin to despise his cousins (two brothers) and
how they will rise to the throne. Hrothulf hates the king because the rich are rich are only because the poor
are poor, and they can t become less poor, therefore he plots against him. Hrothulf only talks to a crazy old
man called Red Horse because they both have the same ideas.
One day when there is dinner back at Hart, Hrothgar watches Hrothulf sit between his sons. Hrothgar
astonished at the fact that there will come a time when Hrothulf, will rise against him. Hrothgar almost
becomes a little crazy because he looks through the hall and sees a series of traps. In addition to the threat
that Hrothulf presents, there is the problem of Wealtheow s brother, Hygmod. Also, Ingeld, the powerful
king of the Heathobards, poses a threat to Hrothgar s kingdom because he can easily just take a walk to

Gabrielino Tribe Research Paper
Location
Living on the Southern California coast affects the way the Gabrielino lived. An important fact is the
Gabrielino tribe was located on Southern California coast, along the coast island in what is now known as
the Los Angeles Basin, San Nicolas. The Islands of Santa Catalina and San Clemente. Southern California
can boost of a Mediterranean climate. Also, the Gabrielino tribes community was peaceful. The Gabrielino
had many contacts with the other groups. They traded goods. When several small villages were near a
larger village, they joined under the leadership of the larger village. Next, the shelter of the Gabrielino. The
Gabrielinos lived along the coast and inland in sheltered bays. Not that many houses were made to keep or
hold 50 or 60 people maybe even 3 or 4 families. The houses were made by placing poles upright in a
circle and bending them into meet the middle they covered the framework with bundles of tule reeds and
ferns the were domed shaped. Finally, the Gabrielinos language ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

First of all, the Gabrielino made spoons out of wood and they sometimes covered the spoon in leather so
the spoon doesn t get ruined or harmed from washing it. The Gabrielino tribe made the spoons out of wood
that they smoothed so it doesn t harm them. Next, the Gabrielino tribe had different fish hooks to get the
fish from shallow waters. The Gabrielino used different types of fish hooks depending on where they live.
When they get a special type of rock called abalone, they made some hooks out of the abalone. Then they
make a small hole at the top of it then tie it into a piece of string. Then put the bait at the bottom of the
hook then they can get the fish. Last, the Gabrielino made spears to get the food from the forest. The
Gabrielino used the spikes from the cacti to make a sharp point. They get some wood to make the bottom
of the spears then, they connect them together to make a

Piglet Body Farm Analysis
My group started this Piglet Body Farm Analysis on October 4th, where we began taking notes and
observing them on a daily basis. We started with thirteen different piglets and watched them decompose
over a month s time. Each specimen had different death situations. The specimens were as followed;
Specimen 0 with clothes hanging, specimen 0 without clothes hanging, specimen 1 clothed lying on the
blacktop, specimen 2 without clothing on the blacktop, specimen 3 clothed on the grass, specimen 4
without clothing on the grass, specimen 5 clothed partly buried, specimen 6 naked partly buried, specimen
7 burnt, specimen 8 stabbed. Specimen 9 gunshot wound, and then there are two specimens that have been
buried in boxes one without ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Gabby more specifically thought the piglet on the concrete would decompose first because it is left in the
sun. She thought the sun combined with the bugs would increase the rate of decomposition. If a piglet was
left suspended it could be placed in the shade and less bugs would reach it. Laney thought, Yes, it might
decompose slower because everything goes to the head instead of staying in the original areas, or since
everything goes to the head it might just decompose mostly in the head and everything fall out .
Another question that we put a theory to was, Does a piglet decompose faster if it is on the grass/dirt
versus being on the cement? I, Allison, thought a piglet on the grass would decompose faster than on the
cement. Gabby thought it was more likely for decomposition to occur faster on grass because there are
more bugs in the grass. Laney also agreed the piglets on the grass would decompose faster because bugs
could reach the body faster and help with decomposition. By remaining on the cement, bugs would not be
attracted to it as

What Is Self Discipline Essay
We already know that self discipline is important, but do we really need it?
We know about success tools, and we familiarize ourselves with many useful resources that lead us to
success, so why do we need self discipline?
We all have goals for many areas of our lives. Some of us want successful relationships, some like to get
more money, others want simply happiness in their lives and others seek better health with less weight.
These are common goals, and we sometimes fail or succeed in achieving them. The general question is:
Why we don t achieve those goals? Why we don t become successful in these goals?
The general answer is: Lack of self discipline.
Success needs time. It does not happen at once. What you do today will determine the results in your
future. If you change your present, you change your future. If you eat a lot of pizzas and delicious food
today, you will gain weight, and this will show in your future weight. If you spend more money than what
you earn today, you will have less money in the future.
Present steps determine future results.
Self discipline takes place in your present which will lead to your future. ... Show more content on

We also know that successful persons became successful just by following these laws. Many experts
studied successful people for many years and wrote many rich useful books about them. One top expert in
this field, Brian Tracy, claims that one main skill that you need to achieve success is the resource of self
discipline. You may know many laws of success, and you may have a map for your goals, but this map will
not work if you do not exercise self control for your goals. It is a fact that 97% of people do not write their
goals, and this by itself is a major obstacle to success, but simply by writing the goals is not enough unless
it is combined with self discipline. It is your practical map for success. It is your actual pragmatic steps
that lead you to translating your goals into

Free Speech for sale reveals the painful truth that free speech, and the certainty that one will be heard, is guaranteed only to those who can afford it. And corporations can afford it. Whether through purchasing massive amounts of advertising for political purposes, or by owning the companies that bring people the news, powerful corporations are able to drown out the voices that disagree with them and it s all perfectly legal. The news organizations they own barely bothered to report on this pending legislation even as the corporate owners (NBC, ABC, CBS and Fox) were lobbying Congress hard for what amounted to a corporate giveaway estimated to be worth $70 billion. This definitely deals with special interests, and what a corporation, or in this case corporations, will do to protect them. The act was passed because of the corporations giving money to members of Congress. Sure it may seem a bit manipulative, but it is totally legal under the constitution. Media corporations have been merging into fewer (and larger) entities which are better able to control the flow of information to the public. Because of their size and power, they can prevent unfavorable coverage of their activities in the media outlets they own. In 1983, 50 corporations controlled the vast majority of all news media in the U.S. In 1992, fewer than two dozen of these corporations owned and operated 90% of the mass media; controlling almost all of America s newspapers, magazines, TV and radio stations, books, records, movies, videos, wire services and photo agencies. It is easy to discuss both wars and how it changed the world, but when comparing common causes of the war the overall common factors are the imperialism and nationalism that caused these devastating wars to take place, along with instability both economically and politically all over the world right before the wars took place. There is so much background history leading up to what started both tragic wars and it is important to highlight factors like the economics and politics leading up to the war and the economic life and politics taking place during both world wars along with the leaders that got these wars to go from a war between a couple countries to a war affecting countries all over the world. Even though this was not a cause of the war it is important to note that in both World War I and in World War II there were sides that were chosen. It was a battle of the Central Powers against the Allies. The Central Powers were made up of Germany, the Ottoman Empire, and Austria. Genetics are being experimented which could alter human evolution. This technology, genetic alteration, is close to being used by the public. Cloning is a form of genetic alteration and experimentation. More legislation should be passed to further restrict genetic experimentation due to the possible misuses of the technology. There are many different forms of cloning. There is cloning in nature which helps with farming and has been around for thousands of year. The cloning of animals and humans is another form. The first cloned animals were created by Hans Driesch in the late 1800 s. His goal was to prove that genetic material is not lost during cell division. While testing sea urchins, the results ended up with two identical sea urchins. There were no major advances in cloning until November of 1951, when Robert Briggs cloned a frog embryo. We now have the technological advancements to clone a human being. Nuclear transfer is how most of cloning is done. It is the introduction of the nucleus from a cell into an egg cell that has had its own nucleus removed. This can be accomplished through fusion of the cell to the egg or through the direct removal of the nucleus from the cell and the subsequent transplantation of that nucleus into the egg cell that has had its own nucleus removed. Do Not Go Gentle Into That Goodnight, By Emily Dickinson Death is the concern in of both Dylan Thomas Do Not Go Gentle into That Goodnight, and Emily Dickinson s Because I Could Not Stop for Death . Moreover, while these two poets use similar themes in their works, the execution and tone of their respective pieces could not be more antithetical. More to the point, Thomas poem paints death and oblivion as something deserving of fear and dread, and even though dying is an immutable fact in our world, man will always feel the need to have, Rage, Rage against the dying of the light . However, Dickinson does not let the fear of death consume her, so much so, that in her poem she embraces death as nothing less than a gentleman, who in her own words kindly stopped for me . At the end of it all, Dylan Thomas poem is a loud boisterous proclamation about the desperation of man to hold on to life and to leave something behind but ultimately realizing they cannot, while Dickinson s is a quiet reflection about the cyclical nature of life and death and the peace the end brings. Dylan Thomas aforementioned poem is about battling against the rising tide, while still knowing there truly is no stopping it. More to the point, the author is conveying that man will always fight against the ire of death and in the interim, try to avert it, but in the long term, hope that something in their legacy leaves a worthwhile impact. • 20. The Relationship Between Ghrelin And Eating Disorders What Is the Relationship Between Ghrelin and Eating Disorders? Introduction: Ghrelin, commonly referred to as the hunger hormone, is a 28 amino acid peptide that has many important roles in human digestion including regulation of growth hormone release, enhancement of appetite, and increase of food intake (1). This gut derived peptide could play an extremely important role in the altered eating behaviors of patients with eating disorders. Increased fasting plasma ghrelin levels have been consistently reported in underweight patients with anorexia nervosa. Circulating levels of this hormone have also been found to be enhanced in symptomatic bulimic patients, while also being blunted in response to balanced meals (4). Because of ghrelin s effect on appetite and its suggested role in eating disorders, this research will aim to investigate ghrelin s relationship with anorexia nervosa (AN) and bulimia nervosa (BN). The following paper will determine exactly how these eating disorders influence ghrelin regulation or how ghrelin levels may influence the eating disorders themselves. This paper will examine ghrelin s functions, the two eating disorders, and what that relationship precisely is by examining ghrelin s metabolic actions as well as two clinical trials that explore its role in bulimia nervosa and anorexia nervosa. Metabolic Basis Ghrelin has many roles in the body s metabolism, one of which is serving as the natural ligand for the growth hormone secretagogue receptor. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 28. Anton Chekhov s The Cherry Orchard Anton Chekhov s The Cherry Orchard Analysis of Comedic Characters Anton Chekhov s The Cherry Orchard is one of his most famous plays, despite the fact that the comedic aspect is often questioned. The Cherry Orchard records the tale of a wealthy Russian family who are faced with the loss of their estate due to bankruptcy, while also facing the reality of losing their beloved cherry orchard. Titled as a comedy, it seeks to disclose the family and household dynamics during this brief period. The wealthy family is in so much debt that they are being forced to sell their beloved cherry orchard, a symbol of the affluent past that the family was accustomed to. The Cherry Orchard does not appear to be a comedy in our modern day sense of the word, which is the reason that it can be so difficult for the 21st century reader to understand why the play is labeled a comedy and not a tragedy. In Checkhov s work, the characters are one of the most prominent comedic forces driving the play. French philosopher Henri Bergson s once summarized comedic character by saying that, Comedic character is rigid or inflexible in circumstances that demand a resiliency of the mind or body (Fiero). Through the lens of this definition, we conclude that the primary circumstances that demand(s) a resiliency of the mind or body for the characters in The Cherry Orchard are the selling of the cherry orchard and the loss of their class prominence. • 44. The Maltese Front And The Novel Of The Maltese Falcon The film of the Maltese Falcon and the novel of the Maltese Falcon share some stark differences along with certain similarities that the film and novel hold. John Huston who directed the film of the Maltese Falcon shows Sam Spade a little differently as to how Dashiell Hammett portrays him. Both do share some commonalities between them, yet we see a greater split from novel to film in the final scene of the Maltese Falcon. The film portrays Spade as this stoic, cold hearted detective. Yet, the novel displays Spade as a more dominate grabbing man that needs answers now. The film differs from the novel as we see Spade portrayed in the film as a cold and stoic character as we see him in the novel as a more dominate and persistent character. As we progress through the final scene Sam Spade briskly moves on to alert the authorities about having Cairo and Gutman on the move. The novel shows Sam after putting the receiver down to appear nervous he wet his lips and looked down at his hands. Their palms were wet. He filled his deep chest with air. His eyes we glittering between straightened lids (p. 574). As to the film when we see Spade hang up the phone he briskly approaches Brigid trying to get as much information out of her as he can before the police arrive in the film at 1:28:52. As we see in the novel Hammett wanted to show Spade as being nervous for what is about to happen and for how aggressive he will be in order to get all of the information needed prior to the police arriving. Huston doesn t show any of that, but goes straight into getting all of the information out of Brigid as soon as possible. Leaving a major lack in character for the film Spade as compared to the novel Spade. Next, we follow to see Spade grabs Brigid and says G d damn you, talk! (p. 575) which shows Spade as a dominate and demanding individual. The significance of him grabbing executes this notion of dominance and the meaning of how important this is to Spade. In the film Spade at that moment wasn t as forceful to get this information out of Brigid. Around 1:29:26 Spade was standing badgering Brigid with question after question, in addition to asking rhetorical questions that Spade already knew the answer for. Having Spade in the ... Another choice was the representativeness heuristic. A mental shortcut through which people classify something as belonging to a certain category to the extent that it is similar to a typical case from that category is the definition of representativeness heuristic (Kenrick, Neuberg, Cialdini 78). The correct answer to question 30, which is a definition, is correspondent inference theory. Franklin dislikes the Rush Limbaugh radio talk show. At a party, Franklin meets Jefferson, who lavishly praises the Rush Limbaugh show. Franklin takes an instant dislike to Jefferson. Which of the following psychological theories would best predict Franklin s response to Jefferson (Huck) , was also one of the questions I missed on the mid term. This is question 46 which is located on the seventh page. For this question I answered reciprocity theory. I don t even know if there is a reciprocity theory but there is a norm of reciprocity. The norm of reciprocity requires that we repay others with the form of behavior they have given us (Kenrick, Neuberg, Cialdini, 196). Franklin did not repay Jefferson with the same behavior so this is not the answer. The balance theory states that we all prefer to have ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Gabby more specifically thought the piglet on the concrete would decompose first because it is left in the sun. She thought the sun combined with the bugs would increase the rate of decomposition. If a piglet was left suspended it could be placed in the shade and less bugs would reach it. Laney thought, Yes, it might decompose slower because everything goes to the head instead of staying in the original areas, or since everything goes to the head it might just decompose mostly in the head and everything fall out . Another question that we put a theory to was, Does a piglet decompose faster if it is on the grass/dirt versus being on the cement? I, Allison, thought a piglet on the grass would decompose faster than on the cement. Gabby thought it was more likely for decomposition to occur faster on grass because there are more bugs in the grass. Laney also agreed the piglets on the grass would decompose faster because bugs could reach the body faster and help with decomposition. By remaining on the cement, bugs would not be attracted to it as ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 49. What Is Self Discipline Essay We already know that self discipline is important, but do we really need it? We know about success tools, and we familiarize ourselves with many useful resources that lead us to success, so why do we need self discipline? We all have goals for many areas of our lives. Some of us want successful relationships, some like to get more money, others want simply happiness in their lives and others seek better health with less weight. These are common goals, and we sometimes fail or succeed in achieving them. The general question is: Why we don t achieve those goals? Why we don t become successful in these goals? The general answer is: Lack of self discipline. Success needs time. It does not happen at once. What you do today will determine the results in your future. If you change your present, you change your future. If you eat a lot of pizzas and delicious food today, you will gain weight, and this will show in your future weight. If you spend more money than what you earn today, you will have less money in the future. Present steps determine future results. Self discipline takes place in your present which will lead to your future. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
