• Guidelines
• Classroom Procedure
This classroom is a learning environment.
Students are tasked to grow and mature in
ways that strengthen mind and body.
We will embody an environment of safe and
healthy relationships. Your individual
actions and ideas serve to reflect our
classroom values.
The Purpose
 Logical consequences: are to try and help you
understand why rules are there in the first place.
For example…
 If you take 1 minute from your 26 classmates
because of an outburst, you will owe 26 minutes
of your time toward their learning. (sharpening
pencils, preparing labs etc.)
 If you must be Tardy, come in silently and your
neighbor might catch you up, if you ask politely.
:
• Come in silently and begin
the daily warm-up in your
lab group.
• Follow the lab procedure
as closely as you can.
• Safety first. Check that
you have all proper safety
equipment.
• No food or drinks.
If it’s a day..
• Work as a TEAM.
• Keep a lab notebook, neatly.
• Foolery is not at all acceptable.
• Ask questions for clarity, discuss
procedures as a group, report
possible safety concerns.
Expectations
1) Warning
2) Second warning
3) Logical Consequence
4) Self-reflection worksheet
5) Call home / parent
6) Walk the plank
Actually…
Keep calm, get quiet and listen.
Depending on the situation, I will direct the class accordingly.
If there is a potentially dangerous situation within the school, we may follow
lock-down procedures as practiced.
In the event of a crisis..

 Prepare Curriculum Material
 Develop a Timeline to accommodate that material
 Develop a daily routine to properly chunk that material
 Develop a classroom management plan (CMP) to allow for learning the
material efficiently
 Prepare a functional workspace and procedural outline to optimize the
learning space in lieu of time constraints
 Prepare parents for the year’s curriculum early and communicate frequently
to adapt and accommodate for student aptitudes
 Plan and develop a classroom ethos to enhance learning, temper social
ethics, and prepare students for life.
