They lay hard-shelled eggs and have lungs, warm blood, and are classified as either flying or flightless running birds. Examples include crows, sparrows, pigeons, parrots, eagles as flying birds and kiwis, ostriches, penguins, hens, and peacocks as running birds.

 body is covered externally with feathers.

 their fore limbs are modified to form wings.

 their bones are hollow and light so that they can
easily fly .

7. TOOTHLESS MOUTH:
 their mouth is toothless and their jaws prolonged
into beak.

8. SOUND BOX :
 There is a sound box present at the base of their
neck produces melodious voice called syrinx.
