Misandry Thesis
No, woman s rights or FEMINISM is not off base. It is a political and social development that looks
for EQUAL treatment of ladies and men
Individuals need to acknowledge then woman s rights, misandry and matriarchy are three altogether
different things. Matriarchy is indistinguishable to patriarchy, with the special case that the parts are
saved and the lady is the power figure, women s liberation does NOT bolster that. Misandry is the
statement of disdain towards the male sexual orientation, women s liberation does NOT bolster that,
either. Women s liberation strikes to right some exceptionally clear and harmful medications and
social convictions towards ladies until they are equivalent to men. It is extremely straightforward. The
motivation behind why this development was named woman s rights is that ladies are thought to be
abused more in correlation to men. It is much like prejudice towards dark individuals. Misandry
exists, however it doesn t hurt men socially or politically. While misogyny has brought about the
abuse of ladies as well as the lives of ladies. Honestly, there are people who call themselves women s
activists keeping in mind the end goal to pardon their sexist activities, however this rate is extremely
minor and the entire development ought not be cut down in view of the mix ups of minor. ... Show

Macbeth s Downfall
British politician William Pitt once said that [u]nlimited power is apt to corrupt the minds of those
who possess it; and this I know ... that where law ends, tyranny begins . Pitt s assertion is substantiated
by William Shakespeare s 17th century tragedy entitled Macbeth, where the protagonist Macbeth
commits unspeakable crimes in his pursuit of power, including the murders of many innocent people
such as King Duncan I of Scotland, Macduff s entire family, and his friend Banquo. Consequently,
Macbeth becomes paranoid and is ultimately slain by Macduff at the end of play. Macbeth s lust for
power leads him to his downfall as it causes him to slowly metamorphose from a courageous, loyal,
and noble general to a brutal, cruel and inhumane tyrant. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This includes murdering his friend and ally Banquo, who has done Macbeth no harm, as well as
attempting to murder Banquo s innocent son Fleance. Macbeth killed Duncan in order to make himself
king of Scotland, but he fears that his felony will be futile in the long term if Banquo s descendants,
rather than his own, are destined to wear the crown. In order to prevent his worst fear from becoming
reality, Macbeth hires assassins to assassinate Banquo and his son Fleance, in an effort to prevent the
witches prophecies about Banquo from being fulfilled. Macbeth attempts to tamper with fate even
though fate is an inevitable course of events that is predetermined by God and is beyond human
control. Macbeth kills Banquo in order to satisfy his greed and, thus, he must pay the consequences
for his actions. Additionally, Macbeth developed hubris, believing that he is invincible and nobody can
slay him. Consequently, Macbeth s hubris slowly becomes his dominant character trait. This is evident
when Macbeth visits the witches at his own free will. After the witches give him the three apparitions,
Macbeth presumes that the witches apparitions can never come true and, therefore, he is invulnerable
(Shakespeare 4.1.104 105). Macbeth s hubris lingers to the very end of the play, even when he knows
that his defeat is inevitable. When Macbeth finally realizes the witches deception during his fight with
Macduff, Macduff suggests that Macbeth should capitulate. In turn, Macbeth replies, I will not yield,/
To kiss the ground before young Malcolm s feet,/ And to be baited with the rabble s curse./ Though
Birnam wood be come to Dunsinane,/ And thou opposed, being of no woman born,/ Yet I will try the
last (Shakespeare 5.8.32 37). This quote bespeaks the magnitude of Macbeth s hubris. Macbeth
refuses to surrender to his enemies and demonstrates that his pride is so

Earning Differences by Gender
Despite women outnumbering men in U.S. colleges and the implementation of legislation like the
1963 Equal Pay Act the pay differences persist. According to some the pay gap persists because:
Men are more likely to pursue college majors and advanced degrees in fields that lead to higher
paying careers.
Women are getting graduate degrees, but not necessarily in fields that give the best salaries.
Discrimination remains a factor and it is difficult to document and measure.
Women on average are working fewer hours than men, often to care for children or other family
members.
The wage gap narrowed steadily through the 1980s and 1990s but the convergence slowed in the early
2000s. In 1980, women earned 60.2 cents for every $1 men ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

The case given in the article is a prime explain of wage discrimination faced by females in the
workplace. Based on the details given in the article the female worker was suffered wage
discrimination. When compared to her male friend she was equally qualified but she was paid less
despite that fact. The employer got away with discriminating against the female worker mainly
because workers at her work place was forbidden. When she found out it had been four years. The
Ledbetter Fair Pay Restoration Act enacted in 2009 allows victims like her to file a pay discrimination
complaint against the employer within 180 days of their last pay check instead of the previously law
which required victims to file the discrimination pay compliant within 180 days of receiving their first
unfair paycheck.
Opinion
According to the United States Census Bureau, the changes in the real median earnings of men and
women who worked full time, year round between 2011 and 2012 were not statistically significant and
the female to male earnings ratio has not experienced a statistically significant annual increase since
2007. So this clearly indicates that legislation enacted by lawmakers so far have failed to eliminate the
wage gap problem that currently exists between males and females.

The Extraction And Absorption Of Casein
Part A Part A of this experiment examines the extraction and absorption of casein within milk. The
foremost objective is to effectively remove the casein rich curds from the milk by altering the pH
using acetic acid. Then, the objective is to dry the curds so that only the proteins and various other
materials remain. Afterwards, this part aims to evaluate the spectrum of copper (II) sulfate
pentahydrate, then use this spectrum in comparison to a solution of Casein sodium potassium tartrate
and NaOH in a copper (II) sulfate solution, also known as the biuret test. This denotes the presence of
protein.1 The ultimate objective of this part is to characterize the protein Casein. Casein is a highly
hydrophobic protein.1 However, it s compact spherical particles are able to be held together through
interactions with calcium in milk. This allows the hydrophobic protein to be suspended within the
polar solution through the presence of calcium ions. When acid is added to a solution the number of
H3O+ increases.1 Because proteins contain regions which are charged, the addition of large amounts
of acid alters the charge of the side chains these changes can dramatically alter the non covalent
interactions of the side chains.1 Essentially, the addition of the acid creates an environment which
alters the charges of the side chains this causes significant changes to the forces within the protein
folds, altering the protein. Because acid is added to the milk, it creates an environment

The United States Government
For some people, it is difficult to understand how the United States government is laid out, what the
three branches of the government are, or how they are different from one another. Those people may
not understand how each branch keeps one another in line or how their duties are divided. Each
branch has its own individual set of responsibilities and duties to make sure the government is run
precisely and that the rights of the citizens are respected. Learning about the three branches further
beckons to discuss the separation of powers as well as implied and inherent powers. These powers
may also be difficult or impossible to understand when reading about them in legal terms, or on
government information. This misunderstanding can lead ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Executive branch, or the President of the United States, has the authority to execute and enforce
the laws approved by congress. He also acts as the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces and
appoints the cabinet, the heads of the 15 executive departments. Finally, the Judicial branch includes
the Supreme court and the Federal district courts. Members of this branch are appointed by the
President and approved by the Senate. McClennon goes on to say, Another criticism of divided
government is that it breeds toxic relations between the executive and legislative branches of the
federal government. This seems especially true when one considers the current dynamic between
President Barack Obama and congressional Republicans. But then he goes on to say that this, still, is
very insignificant in regards to actual legislation. For those troubled by relatively unencumbered,
concentrated power of this sort, the Framers commitment to checks and balances provided, and still

Bull Frog Research Paper
During my summer on August 23, 2015, my brother and I went to Kensington metro park to see if we
could catch a frog. At the park we found a pond full of frogs and we finally caught a frog called The
Bull frog, it had green and brown spots and a bright green upper lip and a creamy yellowish belly, it
was three to eight inches long. Bull frogs is mostly found statewide, but numbers have been reduced
locally due to overharvesting for frog legs. Now rare over much of state. The Bullfrog could be as the
size of a toad, but there is a big difference. Frogs have two bulging eyes
strong, long, webbed hind feet that are adapted for leaping and swimming, it has smooth or slimy skin,
frogs tend to lay eggs in clusters. Unlike Toads, Toads have stubby bodies with short hind legs, for ...

The chest cartilage of toads is different also. Toads tend to lay eggs in long chains. There are only two
native toads in Michigan, which are The Eastern American Toad and The Fowler s Toad, they are
mostly the same ,but different in shape and color. The Eastern toad is mostly brownish skin is very
warty. Short, but large and muscular hind legs allow it to move more easily through woodlands and
backyards. Throat and belly white speckled with black. Found common statewide. The Eastern
American Toad is similar to The American Toad, but throat and belly is usually plain colored and has
more warts, three or more in each dark spot on the back. Two to thirtytwo inches long. Found in
western and southern Lower Peninsula. Many of toads and frogs population has dropped over time
and the reason behind this is the Amphibian Decline. Many species have lost most of their population
for many reasons like climate change, small changes in temperature and moisture, changes in global
weather pattern and many trees getting cut down. People could change that in many ways, by keeping
the place clean, keeping factories away from nature, less cutting trees and treating nature in a better
way possible.

Basic Rules Of Evidence Are No Different For Electronic...
General Requirements for Admissibility Generally, the rules of evidence are no different for electronic
records than for paper records. Medical records are first subject to the hearsay rule, which says that
any statement made out of court by a person not currently testifying is not admissible. However there
are a number of exceptions to this rule, one of which is the Business Records Rule. Medical records
are considered business records. For any business record to be admissible in a legal proceeding, it
must be properly authenticated. In the case of medical records, a sponsoring witness must normally
testify that the medical record meets certain conditions. Usually the sponsoring witness will be
someone who knows enough about your medical record procedures to testify about how they are
created and maintained. Computer print outs are often used when the evidence is stored electronically.
This is typical procedures for producing records from EHR or other electronic data systems.
Evidence in Electronic Form While the basic rules of evidence are the same for paper and electronic
records, there are several important differences. Compared to paper records, most courts consider
electronic records to be more voluminous, more difficult to destroy, easily modified, easily duplicated,
potentially more expressive, and more readily available. As a consequence, strict new rules were
enacted in December 2006 requiring the preservation and disclosure of electronically stored

Antebellum Reform
In 1630, John Winthrop dreamt that America was a City on the Hill , predestined for preeminence. In
1776, the American Colonies proclaimed independence with the affirmation that all men are equal,
free, and blessed with the sacred rights to life, liberty, and happiness. These uniquely American ideals
ideals characterized the young democracy in contrast to the oppressive monarchies of Europe.
European citizens saw the correlation between America s greatness and its democratic principles. The
liberties that America furnished to all men, regardless of status, gave citizens pride in their nation and
drew envy from constituents of tyrannical monarchies. The notions of equality and freedom, however,
did not extend to all of America s population; ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Additionally, other movements such as Temperance and Educational reform piggybacked on the wave
of interest for reformation, and in general all of these movements endeavored to mold the U.S. into a
more virtuous nation. No prominent reform was completed in the antebellum era, so in reality,
democratic ideals only expanded democratic sentiment. Due to the social upheaval in favor of
improving the egalitarian image of the U.S., Antebellum reforms introduced the notions of universal
liberty, but failed to follow through with meaningful change until later in American history.
Antebellum era reformists ostensibly promoted the tangible democratic ideals of liberty and suffrage
to the oppressed elements of society, but did not deliver any legislated reform. Abolitionists still did
not care about slaves so much as they did about the institution of slavery. Abolitionists such as
William Lloyd Garrison even outwardly complained in the Declaration of the National Anti Slavery
Convention in 1833, that slaves did not enjoy any ...constitutional nor legal protection... for the crime
of having a dark complexion... (Doc 1). Yet, Garrison, despite being keenly aware of the
inappropriateness of Slavery, disliked Slavery primarily because he believed tarnished the reputation
of the North. Other

What Are The Advantages And Disadvantages Of Driverless Cars
1. Consumer Behavior Models
Consumer behavior eventually leads to the decision or choice between alternatives. In most cases it is
a decision whether to purchase, consume or use a service. The process of this decision making is
rather complex and it is influenced by, other than the price factor, the psychology of the consumers,
their socio cultural environment the past experiences. The consumer decision making can be modelled
as a system operating with an Input or stimuli, the actual decision making Process which then results
in a reaction or Output (Schiffman. L.G, Kanuk. L)

Typical external influences for instance, marketing attempts, price or socio cultural factors like family,

Several manufactures like Tesla, Mercedes etc., have already demonstrated their autonomous driving
technology and many other companies aim to roll out vehicles with driverless capabilities by 2020.
While it s still pretty early to forecast how autonomous vehicles will impact the lives of humans, there
are some clear advantages and disadvantages of driver less cars.
According to the NHTSA (2013), driverless cars are defined as:
Those in which operation of the vehicle occurs without direct driver input to control the steering,
acceleration, and braking and are designed so that the driver is not expected to constantly monitor the
roadway while operating in self driving mode .
One direct inference from the definition is a significant freeing of time and efforts for the driver which
could be potentially used for other value added activities. Indirect inference would be also a better
utilization of the civil infrastructure as a result of the advanced technology. While an obvious
disadvantage would be the cost of ownership, legal issues insurance in case of accidents. 6.1 Potential

The World Trade Organization implements and facilitates trade between countries. Their aim is to help
countries especially developing countries in boosting their trade between countries. They also help in
creating agreements between countries that help to encourage trade and make trade easier. They help
in settling disputes or problems between member countries anytime it develops. I chose this topic

According to an article called Developing Countries and the WTO which was edited by Gary P.
Sampson and W. Bradnee Chambers, they talk about the WTO, its aim and their main functions. They
start by saying that The goal of a world trading system centered on the World Trade Organization
(WTO) is for multilaterally agreed law, coupled with the progressive liberalization of trade, to the
basis for international trade relations (Sampson, Chambers). This basically sums up the aim of the
WTO, they are in charge of creating free and fair trade and making sure that each and every country is
being treated well, both those countries that are big in the trade market and those that are small, there
is also no discrimination and each and every rule and regulation created is accepted by all the
members of the WTO. One of the problems that have been encountered is the high tariffs that are
being put on goods that are imported from other countries. The article mentions that because of high
tariffs on many products, a compromise agreement with the exclusions sought for sensitive and special
farm products would significantly decrease the gains from reform (Sampson, Chambers). The article
also talks about how the four African countries namely, Chad, Benin, Burkina Faso and Mali use
cotton as their main means of export, the importance of this trade and also how the market price for
cotton is reducing and this might become a problem for

Pros And Cons Of Community Corrections
Community Corrections
With any type of crime that is committed by an individual, there comes a set of guidelines to follow
when regarding which punishment that that particular individual will receive based on the
categorization of their crime. Crimes can be inherently categorized into two distinctly different
categories, the first of which being misdemeanors and the second being felonies. Sets of guidelines
will vary when considering the severity of the crime based on which category the crime will fall
under, as well as the prior criminal history of the individual who committed the particular crime that
they are being punished for.
From a statistical standpoint, there are nearly seven million individuals who are currently on
correctional supervision within the United States of America (DeMichele, 2014). Of those seven
million individuals, a meager two million or 30 percent are incarcerated within a jail or prison
environment (DeMichele, 2014). The remaining five million or 70 percent of those seven million are
currently being supervised through community corrections (DeMichele, 2014). The dramatic growth
in community based corrections over the last three decades is nothing short of astounding (Wodahl,
Ogle, Heck, 2011). In a span of less than 30 years, the number of offenders under supervision in the
community has more than tripled, with an estimated 5.1 million people under probation and parole
supervision in 2008 (Wodahl, Ogle, Heck, 2011).

average of weight of all possible outcomes under certain circumstance. (Investopedia organization,

their potential outcomes, where the utilities of an outcome measures the extent to which that outcome

better explain how individuals actual make choices between different options and prospects. It also
evaluates an outcome based on the alternation of total resources and judges by gains and losses that
related to the status. (Wen, 2010) Under prospect theory, value is allocated to gains and losses rather
than to final assets. Moreover, the investment decision making is an analogy to the behaviour of

ICC and America
Over the past few years, the International Criminal Court (ICC or the Court ) has been igniting
controversy the world over. As more countries rallied behind it, more objections have been made,
particularly from Americans, regarding what many view as fundamental flaws. I have chosen two
papers to compare and contrast the different viewpoints taken by the authors when reflecting upon
America s involvement with the ICC. One calls for total rejection of the ICC, the other weighs the
risks and benefits and calls for revision but acceptance.
The first article, entitled National Constitutional Compatibility and the International Criminal Court ,
is written by Helen ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
She suggests a combination of the two approaches.
Besides posing a threat to America s sovereignty, some aspects of the ICC pose a threat to the rights of
American citizens. Many legal protections that Americans are entitled to under our constitution have
no place so far in the ICC s treaty. Dempsey points out that the prohibition against double jeopardy,
the right to trial by an impartial jury, and the right of the accused to confront the witnesses against him
are American legalities not present in the ICC, and by agreeing to hand over our nationals for trial in
an internationally regulated courtroom we are denying them these constitutional rights and
participating in an unconstitutional act.
Duffy imparts to us that although there are numerous flaws still present in the ICC, only time will
smooth them out, and until then we are in a position only to work with it. In an unprecedented move in
international law, the ICC states that it will bind to the

Media Influence On Teenagers
In today s age of technology, we are in almost constant contact with the mass media. Whether it be
from the portable devices it seems every person has or the TV that remains on throughout the day, we
are constantly absorbing the information they force upon us be it the good or bad. The ultimate
presence of the media guarantees that what we hear, see, and experience thru it will influence the mind
whether conscious of it or not. It is becoming increasingly clear that the media is one of the most
inseparable things from a teenager s life. Teenagers are naturally curious. Faced with a multitude of
choices and challenges, they often look for direction and guidance on how they can live their lives in
today s society (Fox, 1999.) Because of this, maturing children look to this as finding out what is
normal and acceptable or what is frowned upon and not accepted.
The literature on the influence of media on teenagers is vast and most of them have focused on the
negative impacts. They seem to advance the view that the way youth react to situations, or their mode
of thinking is wholly based on the effect of the media, particularly television and movies, music,
videogames, and the internet. Youth in sense represents the age group between 13 and 20. The
outcome of media influences has largely been negative, especially since the above forms of media
have negatively influenced the behaviors and sexuality of the teenagers (Stern and Handel, 2001).

Kant Good Will
The value of an action varies in regards to the qualifications of such. Mill found value in the
consequentialist motives of an instrumental utilitarianistic will; Socrates emphasized the refinement of
virtues in the proceeding actions of good men. Immanuel Kant took a differing approach to this,
boldly stating that a good will is the only thing with full value in itself (394); making the claim that
the source of value lies solely within the motive of the action itself. While earlier philosophers
emphasized happiness as the end goal of all humanity, Kant sought after the fallacy in these claims.
He found deontology as the final remaining factor uncorrupted by the possibility of human perversion,
leading to a good will being the only marker of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
If, even with man s best effort, nothing is achieved, any process of good will must be regarded as such
(394). This marks a definite shift in philosophical thought; the consideration of good without any
remark on the consequences of one s actions and thoughts. Kant does not emphasize the creation of
happiness as the goal of one s choices, since happiness is a subjective marker open to corruption
(396). Multiple actions can produce this result, while the same action can differ in its consequences.
This uncertainty necessitates a different, more concrete definition of moral value. Value then, can be
derived in the purity of one s motivation. Regardless of the outcome of such, intentions of good will
can never be unappreciated as lesser than. It exists as the foundation of all that can be regarded as
valuable, and must be the first step in the evaluation of the quality of one s actions. When one acts
from duty, rather than simply alongside of it, their actions have moral value (397 8). Duty stands as
the definitive motivator of one s action, of which the true intent can be derived

North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA)
The North American Free Trade Agreement was formed on January 1, 1994 with the final provisions
being fully implemented as of January 1, 2008. The agreement is meant to eliminate a majority of the
trade barriers, as well as invest in the three member nations: Canada, Mexico, and the United States.
NAFTA is viewed as one of the most successful trade agreements in history and has helped provide
increases in agricultural trade, as well as investments between the three member countries. The
purpose of the North American Free Trade Agreement is to eliminate trade barriers, which is mostly
done by eliminating a number of non tariff measures that affect agricultural trade between Canada, ...

(WTO) General Agreement on Tariffs Trade (GATT)
The World Trade Organization was formed on January 1, 1995 however; its trade system is almost 50
years older. Since 1948, the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT) had provided the rules
for the system. The main purpose for the World Trade Organization is to offer a forum for negotiation
of trade between member Governments. The bulk of these agreements came from the 1986 1994
Uruguay Round negotiations, as well as from the GATT. Currently, the WTO is host to a new set of
negotiations under the Doha Development Agenda launched in 2001. At the center of the WTO, are
the agreements reached between the majorities of the world s trading nations. These documents
provide legal guidelines (and rules) for international commerce and general business. These
agreements are ultimately viewed as contracts, binding the participating governments to keeping their
trade policies within agreed limits. The system s overriding purpose is to help trade flow freely for the
economic development and well being of participating governments and their countries. The General
Agreement on Tariffs and Trade was first signed in 1948, although some sources say 1947 (the year
the idea was conceived). This agreement is designed to provide an international

Persuasive Essay On Raising The Flag
Raising the Flag
September 11, 2001 was when the world thought it was over. Just by raising the flag from the ground,
it changed the image of America. Not only did the world suffer in fear, families from all over America
lost loved ones in this tragedy. Every day, there are cops, firefighters, soldiers, etc., who put their lives
on the line to protect citizens and their freedom from the ones who try to destroy that. On this day,
thousands of citizens watched their fears happen right in front of their eyes, while the heroes on the
ground stood in danger to save the innocent people. This picture represents heroic symbolism of men
and women whose lives will never be forgotten. Even with all the hate in the world, the United States
still keeps its ground by standing as one, keeping the flag raised to show we can overcome any
adversity, a symbolism of freedom, and religion/skin color does not define us.
The United States has been known for standing its ground since the first war. What used to be the
tallest buildings in America is now known as what used to be the tallest buildings. The top of the
building has now met the ground and in the picture, it shows what strength Americans have to stand
back up and start picking up the debris. These firefighters prove that in this picture. They are raising
the flag from the ground, as if they just got done with a war. Although, it seemed to have been a war
America was not aware of, it left with people dying and demolished buildings. These three firefighters
were the only people in this picture that we can see standing their ground by raising the flag, but all of
America was right next to them knowing they would overcome this adversity.
What the terrorists did not know was that even with the most heartache event in American history,
America still overcame this disaster and raised the American flag from the ground. As you can see in
the picture, the buildings have crumbled from a strike of hate. There are metal pieces that were part of
the building that are still standing. By the way the firefighters outfits look, you can tell that the towers
have collapsed not long before they started to raise the flag. In the background, there is dark dust and
metal scraps stacked like

Are you good at cooking? If you are good at cooking than you probably know that it is very important
to follow the recipe you are using. Well, there is a children s show in Iceland called, Lazy Town , with
an episode called Swiped Sweets and in that episode a character named Stephanie sings a song called
Cooking By The Book , in that song it talks about how you have to follow a recipe, and making food
is a science, and how she loves cake. Although the song is about making a cake how the recipe says, it
can be interpreted in different ways that relate to things in my life and maybe your life too. First of all,
in the song one of the lines of lyrics that can relate to me or you are the lyrics You gotta do the

Freedom, Freedom From Want, And Freedom Of Freedom
For generations, we as a society have evaluated what we call our freedoms, as they constantly
continue to influence our quality of life. In the 1940s, President Franklin Roosevelt s Message to
Congress promised the people of America Four Freedoms, or freedoms that are imperative to human
life. These freedoms included freedom of speech, freedom of worship, freedom from want, and
freedom from fear. Freedom of speech goes back to the first amendment where there is the liberty of
expression. Freedom of worship allows people to practice any belief system they desire, as well as
worship the God that they please. Freedom from want meant no citizen should have to yearn for the
basic needs to survive, and should be provided with a standard living. Finally, freedom from fear
meant for there to be no fear of having to use aggression against a neighbor, in addition to being
granted peace and a sense of security. These were the guaranteed freedoms stated by the president for
the future. However, as time progressed and certain events in history began occurring, these freedoms
may have slipped from view and become less practiced. It is clear to see that the United States
government did not effectively uphold these freedoms during, the time the U.S declared war against
the Japanese, during the scare of Communism, and in the day to day life for citizens in minority
groups. One of the instances in which we can notice this unsuccessful protection of freedoms is
around 1941, when President

Moving To A New School Essay
Madison Tritico
ENGL 1301 B07
Dr. Kovar
19 September, 2015
As an easy going person, I have never thought of the world as a harsh place. However, after going
through an intimidating incident, my view on the world is forever changed. Being bullied helped me
understand what some kids are going through everyday, and I have come to realize that bullying needs
to come to an end.
I never once believed I would be bullied; I expected every person I talked to, to treat me fairly.
Moving to a new school and a new place changed the way I portrayed others. I came from a small
town, with about 4,000 people, to a city with ten times more the population. The city was large and so
was my new school. I was so scared of what was to come of my new school. My mother felt bad for
me and introduced me to her friend s daughter, Jordan. Jordan is my age and she was going to the
same school I was. We became friends before school started and made plans of doing homework and
sitting together at lunch. I told her my worries of finding my classes and making friends. I even told
her about the cute boy, who was now my next door neighbor, Kenny. Jordan and I quickly became
friends and I was beginning to become confident on attending a new school. Little, did I know, that
becoming her friend would change my perspective on life, forever.
I eventually learned to choose my friends wisely on my first day of sophomore year. I walked into the
enormous building and was so overwhelmed

The Demon Lover, An Analysis Essay
In The Demon Lover, by Elizabeth Bowen, Kathleen Drover returns to London from her house in the
country in order to gather some things that she and her husband had abandoned during the bombings
of the war. It is a humid, rainy day in late August and her once familiar street is now mostly deserted.
The caretaker of her house is supposed to be out of town for a week and her arrival is assumed
unknown. Mrs. Drover enters the old musty house and discovers a letter addressed to herself and it is
marked with the present date. Curious to know if the caretaker is back in town and a little annoyed by
the letter seeming to have no urgency in being mailed to her, she proceeds upstairs to her old bedroom
to read it. In utter shock and complete ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When she was nineteen she made a promise to her fianc #233;, who her mother claimed was set on
her, not in love. A couple months after he left for war he was reported missing and presumed dead. At
thirty two she met and married her current husband and had children. Now, it seems that the demon
wants his fianc #233; to keep her promise. Bowen may have chosen to give her the last name of
Drover, because a drover is someone who herds animals to market and it seems as though her fate will
meet the same demise as the demon takes her away. Mrs. Drovers internal conflict occurred when she
did not come through on the promise that she made and now, it seem she can not even recall what the
promise was. She is faced with an external conflict as well because she will no longer have her family.
She is in the hands of a demon. The third person objective point of view forces the reader to conclude
for themself what is really happening. We can not hear her thoughts so it is impossible to know if she
really remembers this so called promise. The two main elements that really work together to make this
story felt by the reader are setting and language. The excellent use of literal imagery evokes the
readers senses and sends a chilling feeling of suspense and terror down the spine, thus, creating the
perfect setting. A sense of uneasiness is created

Essay On Confucianism
The three main philosophies of China helped shape early Chinese civilization; Mandate of Heaven,
Confucianism, and Legalism. The Mandate of Heaven was a belief that the Emperor was sufficiently
virtuous to rule. This explained the legitimacy of rulers. Confucianism was a philosophy created by
Confucius, hoping it would lead to a more stable state in the society. As a philosophy believed longest,
Confucianism provided basic foundation for moral, social, and politic norm for Chinese society.
Legalism, developed by Han Fei, intended to bring strength and unity of the nation by emphasizing
strong punishments and reward, tradition, and family. Legalism introduced clear laws and bureaucratic
government. Overall, between the time period from 221 BCE to 618CE, change was shown in
Legalism over time, while continuity was shown in Confucianism and Mandate of Heaven.

Personality Of Will

Me Before You, Will suffers the struggle that a quadriplegic must face on a daily basis. Will got
paralyzed by being hit by a motorcycle while crossing the street, and ever since that day has been
depressed and wanting to demise. That s where his altruistic caregiver, Louise, plays a huge role in
trying to lift Wills spirit and urge to live. There are three objects essential to knowing the personality
of Will: a wheelchair, a television, and a scissors.
The first important object that helps to better understand Will is a wheelchair. Ever since the accident,

Ever since Will has been hiding behind his hair and scruffy facial hair, Louise has wanted to cut it:
You could cut your hair. It makes you look like some kind of vagrant (Moyes 96). By referring to Will
as a vagrant, Louise convinces Will to finally cut his hair. By doing so, Will is revealed in a way
Louise never really understood. There is a scar on his forehead that she never knew about. The cutting
of Will s hair also made him see the world in a different light, literally. Instead of being stuck behind a
dark shadow of hair, Will is able to see more light. These small differences make a big difference
when it comes down to if he chooses to commit suicide or not. The scissors itself is a temptation to
Will. If he gets his hands on it, he could potentially kill himself. The scissors is a devil living on
earth (Personification).By allowing Louise to cut his hair, Will is taking a step in the right direction.
He is showing trust in someone when he has all the reasons not to, after the incident. For these
reasons, a scissors is necessary for the plot of the story to make sense.
Will is the opposite of an open book. He is hard to understand, but with the three important objects,
the reader can get a better understanding of Will. The dull, black wheelchair represents the the new
transportation he has. The television reflects a better future for Will. Finally,

It is a political and social development that looks for EQUAL treatment of ladies and men Individuals need to acknowledge then woman s rights, misandry and matriarchy are three altogether different things. Matriarchy is indistinguishable to patriarchy, with the special case that the parts are saved and the lady is the power figure, women s liberation does NOT bolster that. Misandry is the statement of disdain towards the male sexual orientation, women s liberation does NOT bolster that, either. Women s liberation strikes to right some exceptionally clear and harmful medications and social convictions towards ladies until they are equivalent to men. It is extremely straightforward. The motivation behind why this development was named woman s rights is that ladies are thought to be abused more in correlation to men. It is much like prejudice towards dark individuals. Misandry exists, however it doesn t hurt men socially or politically. While misogyny has brought about the abuse of ladies as well as the lives of ladies. • 3. Macbeth s Downfall British politician William Pitt once said that [u]nlimited power is apt to corrupt the minds of those who possess it; and this I know ... that where law ends, tyranny begins . Pitt s assertion is substantiated by William Shakespeare s 17th century tragedy entitled Macbeth, where the protagonist Macbeth commits unspeakable crimes in his pursuit of power, including the murders of many innocent people such as King Duncan I of Scotland, Macduff s entire family, and his friend Banquo. Consequently, Macbeth becomes paranoid and is ultimately slain by Macduff at the end of play. Macbeth s lust for power leads him to his downfall as it causes him to slowly metamorphose from a courageous, loyal, and noble general to a brutal, cruel and inhumane tyrant. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This includes murdering his friend and ally Banquo, who has done Macbeth no harm, as well as attempting to murder Banquo s innocent son Fleance. Macbeth killed Duncan in order to make himself king of Scotland, but he fears that his felony will be futile in the long term if Banquo s descendants, rather than his own, are destined to wear the crown. In order to prevent his worst fear from becoming reality, Macbeth hires assassins to assassinate Banquo and his son Fleance, in an effort to prevent the witches prophecies about Banquo from being fulfilled. Macbeth attempts to tamper with fate even though fate is an inevitable course of events that is predetermined by God and is beyond human control. Macbeth kills Banquo in order to satisfy his greed and, thus, he must pay the consequences for his actions. Additionally, Macbeth developed hubris, believing that he is invincible and nobody can slay him. Consequently, Macbeth s hubris slowly becomes his dominant character trait. This is evident when Macbeth visits the witches at his own free will. After the witches give him the three apparitions, Macbeth presumes that the witches apparitions can never come true and, therefore, he is invulnerable (Shakespeare 4.1.104 105). Macbeth s hubris lingers to the very end of the play, even when he knows that his defeat is inevitable. When Macbeth finally realizes the witches deception during his fight with Macduff, Macduff suggests that Macbeth should capitulate. In turn, Macbeth replies, I will not yield,/ To kiss the ground before young Malcolm s feet,/ And to be baited with the rabble s curse./ Though Birnam wood be come to Dunsinane,/ And thou opposed, being of no woman born,/ Yet I will try the last (Shakespeare 5.8.32 37). This quote bespeaks the magnitude of Macbeth s hubris. Macbeth refuses to surrender to his enemies and demonstrates that his pride is so ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Earning Differences by Gender Despite women outnumbering men in U.S. colleges and the implementation of legislation like the 1963 Equal Pay Act the pay differences persist. According to some the pay gap persists because: Men are more likely to pursue college majors and advanced degrees in fields that lead to higher paying careers. Women are getting graduate degrees, but not necessarily in fields that give the best salaries. Discrimination remains a factor and it is difficult to document and measure. Women on average are working fewer hours than men, often to care for children or other family members. Opinion According to the United States Census Bureau, the changes in the real median earnings of men and women who worked full time, year round between 2011 and 2012 were not statistically significant and the female to male earnings ratio has not experienced a statistically significant annual increase since 2007. • 5. The Extraction And Absorption Of Casein Part A Part A of this experiment examines the extraction and absorption of casein within milk. The foremost objective is to effectively remove the casein rich curds from the milk by altering the pH using acetic acid. Then, the objective is to dry the curds so that only the proteins and various other materials remain. Afterwards, this part aims to evaluate the spectrum of copper (II) sulfate pentahydrate, then use this spectrum in comparison to a solution of Casein sodium potassium tartrate and NaOH in a copper (II) sulfate solution, also known as the biuret test. This denotes the presence of protein.1 The ultimate objective of this part is to characterize the protein Casein. Casein is a highly hydrophobic protein.1 However, it s compact spherical particles are able to be held together through interactions with calcium in milk. This allows the hydrophobic protein to be suspended within the polar solution through the presence of calcium ions. When acid is added to a solution the number of H3O+ increases.1 Because proteins contain regions which are charged, the addition of large amounts of acid alters the charge of the side chains these changes can dramatically alter the non covalent interactions of the side chains.1 Essentially, the addition of the acid creates an environment which alters the charges of the side chains this causes significant changes to the forces within the protein folds, altering the protein. Those people may not understand how each branch keeps one another in line or how their duties are divided. Each branch has its own individual set of responsibilities and duties to make sure the government is run precisely and that the rights of the citizens are respected. • 10. Basic Rules Of Evidence Are No Different For Electronic... General Requirements for Admissibility Generally, the rules of evidence are no different for electronic records than for paper records. Medical records are first subject to the hearsay rule, which says that any statement made out of court by a person not currently testifying is not admissible. However there are a number of exceptions to this rule, one of which is the Business Records Rule. Medical records are considered business records. For any business record to be admissible in a legal proceeding, it must be properly authenticated. In the case of medical records, a sponsoring witness must normally testify that the medical record meets certain conditions. Usually the sponsoring witness will be someone who knows enough about your medical record procedures to testify about how they are created and maintained. Computer print outs are often used when the evidence is stored electronically. This is typical procedures for producing records from EHR or other electronic data systems. Evidence in Electronic Form While the basic rules of evidence are the same for paper and electronic records, there are several important differences. Compared to paper records, most courts consider electronic records to be more voluminous, more difficult to destroy, easily modified, easily duplicated, potentially more expressive, and more readily available. As a consequence, strict new rules were enacted in December 2006 requiring the preservation and disclosure of electronically stored ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In 1776, the American Colonies proclaimed independence with the affirmation that all men are equal, free, and blessed with the sacred rights to life, liberty, and happiness. These uniquely American ideals ideals characterized the young democracy in contrast to the oppressive monarchies of Europe. European citizens saw the correlation between America s greatness and its democratic principles. Due to the social upheaval in favor of improving the egalitarian image of the U.S., Antebellum reforms introduced the notions of universal liberty, but failed to follow through with meaningful change until later in American history. • 14. Pros And Cons Of Community Corrections Community Corrections With any type of crime that is committed by an individual, there comes a set of guidelines to follow when regarding which punishment that that particular individual will receive based on the categorization of their crime. Crimes can be inherently categorized into two distinctly different categories, the first of which being misdemeanors and the second being felonies. Sets of guidelines will vary when considering the severity of the crime based on which category the crime will fall under, as well as the prior criminal history of the individual who committed the particular crime that they are being punished for. From a statistical standpoint, there are nearly seven million individuals who are currently on correctional supervision within the United States of America (DeMichele, 2014). Of those seven million individuals, a meager two million or 30 percent are incarcerated within a jail or prison environment (DeMichele, 2014). The remaining five million or 70 percent of those seven million are currently being supervised through community corrections (DeMichele, 2014). As more countries rallied behind it, more objections have been made, particularly from Americans, regarding what many view as fundamental flaws. I have chosen two papers to compare and contrast the different viewpoints taken by the authors when reflecting upon America s involvement with the ICC. One calls for total rejection of the ICC, the other weighs the risks and benefits and calls for revision but acceptance. The first article, entitled National Constitutional Compatibility and the International Criminal Court , is written by Helen ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... She suggests a combination of the two approaches. Besides posing a threat to America s sovereignty, some aspects of the ICC pose a threat to the rights of American citizens. Many legal protections that Americans are entitled to under our constitution have no place so far in the ICC s treaty. Dempsey points out that the prohibition against double jeopardy, the right to trial by an impartial jury, and the right of the accused to confront the witnesses against him are American legalities not present in the ICC, and by agreeing to hand over our nationals for trial in an internationally regulated courtroom we are denying them these constitutional rights and participating in an unconstitutional act. Duffy imparts to us that although there are numerous flaws still present in the ICC, only time will smooth them out, and until then we are in a position only to work with it. In an unprecedented move in international law, the ICC states that it will bind to the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 22. Media Influence On Teenagers In today s age of technology, we are in almost constant contact with the mass media. Whether it be from the portable devices it seems every person has or the TV that remains on throughout the day, we are constantly absorbing the information they force upon us be it the good or bad. The ultimate presence of the media guarantees that what we hear, see, and experience thru it will influence the mind whether conscious of it or not. It is becoming increasingly clear that the media is one of the most inseparable things from a teenager s life. Teenagers are naturally curious. Faced with a multitude of choices and challenges, they often look for direction and guidance on how they can live their lives in today s society (Fox, 1999.) Because of this, maturing children look to this as finding out what is normal and acceptable or what is frowned upon and not accepted. The literature on the influence of media on teenagers is vast and most of them have focused on the negative impacts. They seem to advance the view that the way youth react to situations, or their mode of thinking is wholly based on the effect of the media, particularly television and movies, music, videogames, and the internet. Youth in sense represents the age group between 13 and 20. The outcome of media influences has largely been negative, especially since the above forms of media have negatively influenced the behaviors and sexuality of the teenagers (Stern and Handel, 2001). • 23. Kant Good Will The value of an action varies in regards to the qualifications of such. Mill found value in the consequentialist motives of an instrumental utilitarianistic will; Socrates emphasized the refinement of virtues in the proceeding actions of good men. Immanuel Kant took a differing approach to this, boldly stating that a good will is the only thing with full value in itself (394); making the claim that the source of value lies solely within the motive of the action itself. While earlier philosophers emphasized happiness as the end goal of all humanity, Kant sought after the fallacy in these claims. He found deontology as the final remaining factor uncorrupted by the possibility of human perversion, leading to a good will being the only marker of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... If, even with man s best effort, nothing is achieved, any process of good will must be regarded as such (394). This marks a definite shift in philosophical thought; the consideration of good without any remark on the consequences of one s actions and thoughts. Kant does not emphasize the creation of happiness as the goal of one s choices, since happiness is a subjective marker open to corruption (396). Multiple actions can produce this result, while the same action can differ in its consequences. This uncertainty necessitates a different, more concrete definition of moral value. Value then, can be derived in the purity of one s motivation. Regardless of the outcome of such, intentions of good will can never be unappreciated as lesser than. It exists as the foundation of all that can be regarded as valuable, and must be the first step in the evaluation of the quality of one s actions. When one acts from duty, rather than simply alongside of it, their actions have moral value (397 8). Duty stands as the definitive motivator of one s action, of which the true intent can be derived ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Since 1948, the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT) had provided the rules for the system. The main purpose for the World Trade Organization is to offer a forum for negotiation of trade between member Governments. The bulk of these agreements came from the 1986 1994 Uruguay Round negotiations, as well as from the GATT. • 25. Persuasive Essay On Raising The Flag Raising the Flag September 11, 2001 was when the world thought it was over. Just by raising the flag from the ground, it changed the image of America. Not only did the world suffer in fear, families from all over America lost loved ones in this tragedy. Every day, there are cops, firefighters, soldiers, etc., who put their lives on the line to protect citizens and their freedom from the ones who try to destroy that. On this day, thousands of citizens watched their fears happen right in front of their eyes, while the heroes on the ground stood in danger to save the innocent people. This picture represents heroic symbolism of men and women whose lives will never be forgotten. Even with all the hate in the world, the United States still keeps its ground by standing as one, keeping the flag raised to show we can overcome any adversity, a symbolism of freedom, and religion/skin color does not define us. The United States has been known for standing its ground since the first war. What used to be the tallest buildings in America is now known as what used to be the tallest buildings. The top of the building has now met the ground and in the picture, it shows what strength Americans have to stand back up and start picking up the debris. These firefighters prove that in this picture. They are raising the flag from the ground, as if they just got done with a war. Although, it seemed to have been a war America was not aware of, it left with people dying and demolished buildings. These three firefighters were the only people in this picture that we can see standing their ground by raising the flag, but all of America was right next to them knowing they would overcome this adversity. What the terrorists did not know was that even with the most heartache event in American history, America still overcame this disaster and raised the American flag from the ground. As you can see in the picture, the buildings have crumbled from a strike of hate. There are metal pieces that were part of the building that are still standing. By the way the firefighters outfits look, you can tell that the towers have collapsed not long before they started to raise the flag. In the background, there is dark dust and metal scraps stacked like ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 27. Freedom, Freedom From Want, And Freedom Of Freedom For generations, we as a society have evaluated what we call our freedoms, as they constantly continue to influence our quality of life. In the 1940s, President Franklin Roosevelt s Message to Congress promised the people of America Four Freedoms, or freedoms that are imperative to human life. These freedoms included freedom of speech, freedom of worship, freedom from want, and freedom from fear. Freedom of speech goes back to the first amendment where there is the liberty of expression. Freedom of worship allows people to practice any belief system they desire, as well as worship the God that they please. Freedom from want meant no citizen should have to yearn for the basic needs to survive, and should be provided with a standard living. Finally, freedom from fear meant for there to be no fear of having to use aggression against a neighbor, in addition to being granted peace and a sense of security. These were the guaranteed freedoms stated by the president for the future. However, as time progressed and certain events in history began occurring, these freedoms may have slipped from view and become less practiced. It is clear to see that the United States government did not effectively uphold these freedoms during, the time the U.S declared war against the Japanese, during the scare of Communism, and in the day to day life for citizens in minority groups. One of the instances in which we can notice this unsuccessful protection of freedoms is around 1941, when President ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 28. Moving To A New School Essay Madison Tritico ENGL 1301 B07 Dr. Kovar 19 September, 2015 As an easy going person, I have never thought of the world as a harsh place. However, after going through an intimidating incident, my view on the world is forever changed. Being bullied helped me understand what some kids are going through everyday, and I have come to realize that bullying needs to come to an end. I never once believed I would be bullied; I expected every person I talked to, to treat me fairly. Moving to a new school and a new place changed the way I portrayed others. I came from a small town, with about 4,000 people, to a city with ten times more the population. The city was large and so was my new school. I was so scared of what was to come of my new school. My mother felt bad for me and introduced me to her friend s daughter, Jordan. Jordan is my age and she was going to the same school I was. We became friends before school started and made plans of doing homework and sitting together at lunch. I told her my worries of finding my classes and making friends. I even told her about the cute boy, who was now my next door neighbor, Kenny. Jordan and I quickly became friends and I was beginning to become confident on attending a new school. Little, did I know, that becoming her friend would change my perspective on life, forever. I eventually learned to choose my friends wisely on my first day of sophomore year. Now, it seems that the demon wants his fianc #233; to keep her promise. Bowen may have chosen to give her the last name of Drover, because a drover is someone who herds animals to market and it seems as though her fate will meet the same demise as the demon takes her away. Mrs. Drovers internal conflict occurred when she did not come through on the promise that she made and now, it seem she can not even recall what the promise was. She is faced with an external conflict as well because she will no longer have her family. She is in the hands of a demon. The third person objective point of view forces the reader to conclude for themself what is really happening. We can not hear her thoughts so it is impossible to know if she really remembers this so called promise. The two main elements that really work together to make this story felt by the reader are setting and language. The excellent use of literal imagery evokes the readers senses and sends a chilling feeling of suspense and terror down the spine, thus, creating the perfect setting.
