Often humans form opinions about one another that may hinder them from listening to a particular
group or person effectively. Two ways listening can be impaired is by stereotypes and prejudices
formed before a certain person even expresses themselves nonverbally or verbally. According to the
book Fundamentals of Human Communication the word stereotype is defined as: Rigid and usually
negative assumptions about personal and social qualities of people who are members of a particular
social category. (G 10) Another scholarly source confirms this definition by stating that a stereotype is
a fixed or over generalized belief about a particular group or class of people. (Cardwell, 1996) Over
the years people describe types of communication as stereotypical because it allows a communicator

Abstract: In this paper a hybrid technique is used for determining the face from an image. Face
detection is one of the tedious job to achieve with very high accuracy. In this paper we proposed a
method that combines two techniques that is Orthogonal Laplacianface (OLPP) and Particle Swarm
Optimization (PSO). The formula for the OLPP relies on the Locality Preserving Projection (LPP)
formula, which aims at ﬁnding a linear approximation to the Eigen functions of the astronomer
Beltrami operator on the face manifold. However, LPP is non orthogonal and this makes it difficult to
reconstruct the information. When the set of features is found by the OLPP, with the help of the PSO,
the grouping of the image features is done and the one with the best match from the database is given
as the result. This hybrid technique gives a higher accuracy in less processing time.

be standing in the middle of a battle happening in a mirror image and not even know it. After viewing
Marvel Film Doctor Strange, the graphics will have you questioning if all these things could actually
be nonfictional; indeed, you may even find yourself wondering if you too might have the power of
mind to enter the Astral Plane. Although the graphics of this film are incredible there are still some
faults in this movie pertaining to onscreen relationship connections between certain characters, and the
underdevelopment of some characters.

movie. His character did a full three hundred and sixty degrees turn around during the movie and the

It is a common tendency for philosophers to invent their own vernacular, usually giving new
connotations and definitions to terms we find ordinary. An instance of this is Heidegger s Dasein . He
takes two very common German words: Da , meaning there and sein , meaning to be , but Dasein has
the heavy connotation of not only physically existing there, but being present in a multitude of ways
(Heidegger, 1927). Another example is from Foucault expanding the word government not simply in

Denoting particular connotations onto existing words enables philosophers to give voice to meanings

reader, gives into the assumption that the language is used in the usual way, then the philosopher s
words will appear to be outlandish and enigmatic (Shawver, 1998).
This begs the question: how does the reader then know if the writer is using an ordinary term or their
