We used the Nerds for ribosomes because they are small and spherical and the
Function of the ribosomes is the site of the protein manufacture.

Nucleus

The Nucleus of our cell is represented by an apple. We chose this because it could be cut
in a way to show the nucleolus and the outside of the nuclear membrane, the skin of the
Apple.

.

The cell membrane is represented by the licorice. We chose this because it could bend to
fit the plate. The cell membrane lets material in and out of the cell.

The Golgi apparatus is an organelle found in eukaryotic cells. The Golgi apparatus
packages proteins and before sending them to their destination. For the Golgi
apparatus we used a fruit roll up because it can fold up like a Golgi apparatus.

Mito

For the mitochondria we used licorice and starburst. The mitochondria produces energy for the
cell. We chose licorice and starburst because represent the folds within the mitochondria.

Rough
Reticul

The rough and smooth endoplasmic reticulum are represented by fruit by the
Foot. The rough endoplasmic reticulum is represented by the part that has small
dots and gashes. The smooth is just a plain fruit roll up. We chose this to
Represent the reticulums because they could be folded to shape easily

Lysosome

Lysosomes are the cells waste and digestive system. For the lysosomes we used
licorice as the outer edge and m&ms in the middle. We used m&ms for the middle
because it was the best fit for the lysosome.

Cytoskeleton

For the cytoskeleton we put marks in the cytoplasm. The cytoskeleton gives the cell is
structure and supports the cell.
Joey Dipietro
Nucleolus

For the Nucleolus we chose to do an mnm. We chose the mnm because it was small and
round like the nucleolus. The nucleolus holds the DNA

Joey Dipietro
Nuclear membrane

For the nuclear membrane we chose to use the skin from the apple. We
chose that because it protects the apple and it represents the nuclear
membrane the best. The nuclear membrane protects the nucleus.

Joey Dipietro
Cytoplasm

For the cytoplasm we chose to use frosting. The function of the cytoplasm is to hold
everything in place.
