The document summarizes several intellectual revolutions throughout history that transformed society:
1) The Pre-Socratic revolution introduced ideas of nature, natural laws, and that humans can discover these laws through science and technology.
2) The Copernican revolution proposed that the sun, not Earth, is the center of the solar system through Copernicus' heliocentric model.
3) Darwin's theory of evolution by natural selection revolutionized biology by proposing organisms evolve over generations through random genetic mutations and survival of the fittest.
4) Freud's psychoanalytic theory revolutionized psychology by proposing unconscious motivations shape behavior and personality.
5) Turing's contributions to computer science and algorithms were revolutionary to information technology

Computer Science - Classification of Programming Languages
Programming Languages are broken down into High level and Low level languages. This slideshow shows how they are classified and explains low level and high level languages in depth.
Jacques Vallee - UFOs - The Psychic Solution (1977)DirkTheDaring11
British version of The Invisible College (1975).
A SENSATIONAL NEW PERSPECTIVE
This brilliant, ground-breaking book examines every aspect of extra-terrestial phenomena - from flying saucers to alien voices, from space and time distortions to the mysterious powers of Uri Geller. Linking numerous accounts of UFO sightings to their psychic effects on witnesses, The Psychic Solution presents an entirely new and plausible theory on the true nature of the UFO experience.
By breaking the conspiracy of silence surrounding this extraordinary subject, the author reveals that UFO's are not, as hitherto believed, agents from some alien intelligence, nor are they products of mass-hypnosis but something even more dramatic - mirrors of a psychic reality originating in the human consciousness to serve and perhaps guide man's needs for the future...

Embracing GenAI - A Strategic ImperativePeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

June 3, 2024 Anti-Semitism Letter Sent to MIT President Kornbluth and MIT Cor...Levi Shapiro
Letter from the Congress of the United States regarding Anti-Semitism sent June 3rd to MIT President Sally Kornbluth, MIT Corp Chair, Mark Gorenberg
Dear Dr. Kornbluth and Mr. Gorenberg,
The US House of Representatives is deeply concerned by ongoing and pervasive acts of antisemitic
harassment and intimidation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Failing to act decisively to ensure a safe learning environment for all students would be a grave dereliction of your responsibilities as President of MIT and Chair of the MIT Corporation.
This Congress will not stand idly by and allow an environment hostile to Jewish students to persist. The House believes that your institution is in violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, and the inability or
unwillingness to rectify this violation through action requires accountability.
Postsecondary education is a unique opportunity for students to learn and have their ideas and beliefs challenged. However, universities receiving hundreds of millions of federal funds annually have denied
students that opportunity and have been hijacked to become venues for the promotion of terrorism, antisemitic harassment and intimidation, unlawful encampments, and in some cases, assaults and riots.
The House of Representatives will not countenance the use of federal funds to indoctrinate students into hateful, antisemitic, anti-American supporters of terrorism. Investigations into campus antisemitism by the Committee on Education and the Workforce and the Committee on Ways and Means have been expanded into a Congress-wide probe across all relevant jurisdictions to address this national crisis. The undersigned Committees will conduct oversight into the use of federal funds at MIT and its learning environment under authorities granted to each Committee.
• The Committee on Education and the Workforce has been investigating your institution since December 7, 2023. The Committee has broad jurisdiction over postsecondary education, including its compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, campus safety concerns over disruptions to the learning environment, and the awarding of federal student aid under the Higher Education Act.
• The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is investigating the sources of funding and other support flowing to groups espousing pro-Hamas propaganda and engaged in antisemitic harassment and intimidation of students. The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is the principal oversight committee of the US House of Representatives and has broad authority to investigate “any matter” at “any time” under House Rule X.
• The Committee on Ways and Means has been investigating several universities since November 15, 2023, when the Committee held a hearing entitled From Ivory Towers to Dark Corners: Investigating the Nexus Between Antisemitism, Tax-Exempt Universities, and Terror Financing. The Committee followed the hearing with letters to those institutions on January 10, 202

Normal Labour/ Stages of Labour/ Mechanism of LabourWasim Ak
Normal labor is also termed spontaneous labor, defined as the natural physiological process through which the fetus, placenta, and membranes are expelled from the uterus through the birth canal at term (37 to 42 weeks
Synthetic Fiber Construction in lab .pptxPavel ( NSTU)
Synthetic fiber production is a fascinating and complex field that blends chemistry, engineering, and environmental science. By understanding these aspects, students can gain a comprehensive view of synthetic fiber production, its impact on society and the environment, and the potential for future innovations. Synthetic fibers play a crucial role in modern society, impacting various aspects of daily life, industry, and the environment. ynthetic fibers are integral to modern life, offering a range of benefits from cost-effectiveness and versatility to innovative applications and performance characteristics. While they pose environmental challenges, ongoing research and development aim to create more sustainable and eco-friendly alternatives. Understanding the importance of synthetic fibers helps in appreciating their role in the economy, industry, and daily life, while also emphasizing the need for sustainable practices and innovation.
2. Intellectual Revolution
Greek speculation about “nature”
Known as “ Pre- Socratic” or “ non-theological” or
“first philosophy”
Three characteristics of this philosophy
The world is a natural whole
There is a natural “order”
Humans can “discover” these laws
Showed how society was transformed by science
and technology
3. COPERNICAN REVOLUTION
Nicholas Copernicus (1473-1543)
Astronomer and mathematician
Adopted the “heliocentric model” suggesting the
idea that the sun is the center of the solar system
Published an essay “ On the Revolution of the
Heavenly Spheres”
4. Aristotle, however believed that the earth is
the true center of all the orbitals carrying
the heavenly bodies and all motions are
uniform and unchanging.
Geocentric Model “geo” means earth
center
5. DARWINIAN REVOLUTION
Charles Darwin, Theory of Evolution
Suggests that all organism are related
and have descended from a common
ancestor
Explains that complex creatures
evolved naturally from simplistic
ancestors over time
6. Charles Darwin, Theory of Evolution
Proposed the “natural selection” organisms
survived due to random genetic of
mutations leading to the preservation of
their descendants.
“survival of the fittest”, the better adapted a
species is, the more fitted it is to reproduce.
7.
8. FREUDIAN REVOLUTION
Sigmund Freud “Father of Psychoanalysis”
Believed that when people explain their behavior,
they rarely give a true account of their motivation,
not because they are deliberately lying, but because
they are more adept at self- deception.
Freud’s structural theory of personality emphasizes
the role of unconscious psychological conflicts in
shaping behavior and personality.
9.
10. INFORMATION REVOLUTION
Alan Turing (1912-1954)
provided a fundamental
contribution to computer
sciences by refining the
concepts of algorithm and
computation.
Turing Machines
Turing Test

Domestication of turkey and dog
Cotton plants were used to make a textiles, and rubber trees were used to make
rubber balls (for performance games and rituals)
13. Combined crop rotation and slash - and- burn technique
to retain soil nutrients
Formed terraces along the mountain slopes
First to use irrigation techniques
Known to be the first to create the calendars
14. ASIAN CIVILIZATION
World's great early Asian Civilization one from India and from
China
Civilization arose in the Indus Valley 4000 years ago.
• People used weapon and utensils made of bronze and Cooper
• Shops are established around Mohenjo-Daro
Two World’s known religions: Hinduism and Buddhism
Hinduism in based on the four sacred books, Vedas. This holds
the records of Indian history and beliefs, which were written by
the Aryan people.
• caste system: priest called Brahmans ranked the highest and the
untouchables as
15. Two world's known religious: Hinduism
and Buddhism
Buddhism embraces follower who praise Buddha
(The Enlightenment One), in the person of
Siddhartha Gautama (a wanderer who believed that
human greed and selfishness lead to human pain).
Confucianism is based on teaching of Confucius
Emphasize personal and governmental morality,
correctness of social relationships, justice and
sincerely
Great wall of China was built to protect themselves
from the invasion of " barbarians" from other parts
of Asia
16. Middle east civilization
The home of the "cradle of civilization", many of the words' oldest
cultures and civilization were seen.
The history started from the earliest human settlements continuing
through pre- and post- Islamic empires.
Developed the following:
first Writing system in the world
potter's wheel, vehicular and mill wheel
first generalized governments and law cod
Foundation of astronomy and mathematics
17. AFRICAN CIVILIZATION
Lineage and culture achievements include in the
field of Mathematics, Astronomy, Metallurgy,
Agriculture and Engineering, Navigation, and
Medicine
in math, they developed the Yoruba system -
based on units of 20 instead of 10 and
required impressive amount of subtraction to
identify different numbers.
In Astronomy, African Stonehenge was
considered as remarkable accurate calendar.
