tables, pie charts and bar graphs. Qualitative data was analysed qualitatively by organizing data into themes as
per the objectives of the study and the findings were presented in a narrative form. The study found that
delegation of duties had significant influence on teacher retention in public secondary schools in Kamukunji SubCounty, Nairobi County, Kenya. The study observed that all the school principals 100% and 91.0% of the teachers
agreed that delegation of duties provides teachers the ability to learn and develop new skills. This means that
delegation of duties significantly influences teacher retention. The study concluded that delegation of duties allows
teachers to acquire and develop new skills, as well as build trust and increase communication between them. The
study recommends that the administration of the school should make an attempt to allocate responsibility roles to
teachers as early as possible and allow them to gain the requisite experience.

Leadership Style and Teachers Commitment in Public Primary Schools in Bomet C...Reuben Chirchir
This document discusses a study on the relationship between leadership style and teacher commitment in public primary schools in Bomet County, Kenya. The study found that:
1. Teachers perceived their head teachers as practicing transformational leadership styles like idealized influence and intellectual stimulation more than transactional styles.
2. Teacher commitment was found to be moderate overall, with normative commitment being higher than affective or continuance commitment.
3. There were positive correlations between transformational leadership and normative commitment, as well as between transactional leadership and affective commitment. However, the correlations were low, possibly due to other challenging factors in the work environment.

Teacher leadership plays a vital role in educational reforms and school improvement. It is defined in various ways, but generally involves collaboration, sharing best practices, taking action, and role modeling. Teacher leaders address issues affecting the school and classroom more directly. They also improve student achievement when given decision-making powers. Challenges include existing school norms, but teacher leadership can be promoted through distributed leadership models and principals who motivate and focus on instruction.

Educational leadership style and teacher job satisfaction- InstrumentSYIKIN MARIA
This study examined the relationship between educational leadership styles, teachers' years of experience, and teacher job satisfaction at two middle schools in South Texas. The researcher collected data using the Multifactor Leadership Questionnaire, Job Satisfaction Survey, and a demographic questionnaire from 67 teachers via SurveyMonkey. The results indicated that teachers reported moderately high job satisfaction and utilized transformational, transactional, and passive leadership styles moderately often, with the strongest correlation between transformational leadership and job satisfaction. There was no statistically significant relationship between job satisfaction and teachers' years of experience.
Correlational designs allow researchers to examine relationships between two or more variables by collecting data on all variables at the same point in time. Key aspects of correlational designs include correlating predictor and criterion variables to predict outcomes, displaying scores in scatter plots and matrices to show associations between variables, and using techniques like partial correlations and multiple regression to analyze multiple variables. Conducting high quality correlational research requires adequately sampling participants, selecting appropriate statistical tests, and properly interpreting results to understand the direction, magnitude, and strength of relationships between variables.
Narrative research design focuses on studying individuals by collecting and telling stories about their lives and experiences. It derives from narrating or telling stories in detail. Researchers describe lives through stories, experiences, and narratives. It is used when individuals are willing to share their stories chronologically. Key aspects include collecting first-person accounts, restorying while following a chronological structure, identifying themes, and collaborating closely with participants. The design was developed in education in 1990 and involves multiple steps from identifying phenomena to validating reports. Ethical considerations are authenticity, data distortion, and ownership. Evaluations note its individual focus, use of chronology, context description, and theme emergence.
The document provides an overview of grounded theory, including its definition, history, uses, and evaluation. Grounded theory was developed in the 1960s by Glaser and Strauss as a qualitative research methodology to build theories inductively from data rather than testing existing hypotheses. The key steps include collecting data through methods like interviews, coding the data to identify concepts and categories, and developing a theory grounded in the data to explain a process. The theory is evaluated based on its connection to the raw data and usefulness in explaining the phenomenon under study.
The document defines experimental research and provides details on key aspects of experimental design. It discusses that experimental research involves testing ideas to determine their effect on outcomes. Random assignment of participants to groups is a critical characteristic, as it helps control for extraneous variables. Various types of experimental designs are described, including between-group designs like true experiments, quasi-experiments, and factorial designs, and within-group designs like time series experiments, repeated measures experiments, and single subject experiments. Threats to validity like internal, external, and statistical conclusion validity are also outlined. The document provides guidance on how to properly conduct an experiment and evaluate its quality.
This document provides an overview of ethnographic research methodology. It defines ethnography as writing about groups of people through observation and interviews to understand their culture, including behaviors, beliefs, and language. There are different types of ethnographic designs like realist, case studies, and critical ethnographies. Realist ethnographies take a third-person objective viewpoint while critical ethnographies aim to advocate for marginalized groups. Key aspects of ethnography include identifying a culture-sharing group, collecting emic and etic data, describing cultural themes, and interpreting findings through detailed descriptions and thematic analysis within its cultural context. The document outlines steps for conducting ethnography, including gaining access and approval, collecting multiple sources of data through fieldwork, and
Action research is a method used by teachers and educators to study practical problems and improve their practices. It involves identifying an issue, collecting and analyzing data, and implementing changes. There are two main types - practical action research focuses on improving specific situations, while participatory action research takes a more social and collaborative approach aimed at emancipation. Action research was developed in the 1930s and involves teachers studying their own classrooms. The process is cyclical as findings are used to revise practices.
This document discusses mixed methods research, which involves collecting and analyzing both quantitative and qualitative data within a single study. It provides an overview of the main mixed methods research designs, including convergent parallel, explanatory sequential, exploratory sequential, embedded, and transformative designs. For each design, it outlines the purpose, priority of quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis, and how the different data sources are integrated. The document also discusses evaluating mixed methods studies and some potential ethical issues to consider in mixed methods research designs.

A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

Chapter 1-A STUDY ON THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN LEADERSHIP STYLES AND TEACHERS’ JOB SATISFACTION IN TEN SCHOOL IN PETALING PERDANA
1. CHAPTER 1
INTRODUCTION
1.0 Introduction
Findings by Zembat, Koçyi, Tu, & Do (2010), school are organization that offer
education and instructional services. School is universally used as a medium of
education. Student start go to school from childhood until adolescent. The school
organization has different feature with other organization. Instructional methods and
activities must be considered from the student point of view and the direction of the
leader. Every school with high leadership qualities and management style is a key
factor for school effectiveness. (Machumu & Kaitila, 2014; Commonwealth Secretariat
,1996).
To achieve educational goals, one of the most widely used methods by
developing countries is accelerating the reforms and changes in the education system.
Education is not just to convey knowledge and skills but also to foster the future of the
people in the hope of furthering the development and modernization of the nation.
According to Mohamad and Jais (2016), Malaysia is aiming to become a centre of
excellence globally.
Teachers are an important group of professionals for the future (Silas
O.Falokun, 2016; Ingersoll, 2003). Teacher is who will responsible to convey
knowledge to student. Accordingly, the ability of teachers to control classroom and
manage student behaviour is emphasized to enhance the effectiveness of educational
outcomes. (Aliakbari & Darabi, 2013). Every school have a lot of teacher with
experience. Teachers need to have a skill to control the emotional and concerned
about his own feelings in order to produce a better job satisfaction. (Mohamad & Jais,
2016; George, 2000; Day & Carroll, 2004).
1.1 Background of the Study
Leadership style are cross-cutting issues and impact on teachers’ job
satisfaction. A study was conducted to determine leadership style that influence
teachers’ job satisfaction. Collaborating with leadership style is a dangerous emotional
2. response to teachers’ job satisfaction known as an activity where an individual cannot
complete the task assigned to them successfully. Every Manager in the management
and operation of their particular leadership style using the style of this is in fact a set
of patterns of behaviour that often occur during continuous work organization and
others who know him by it and as Manager for the Organization would be greatly in
collaboration with staff, leadership style Managers had a significant effect on the
morale of its employees. (Shafie, Baghersalimi, & Barghi, 2013)
Teachers' job satisfaction can be defined as the participation of teachers to
achieve school goals. Teacher’s job satisfaction is one of the most important variables
and has been studied over a long decade. Teachers' job satisfaction will influence the
decisionof the school organization. Teachers' job satisfaction also ensures that school
organization works well and consists of knowledge and skills that can guide teachers
to carry out various activities. High job satisfaction levels can improve cultural growth
and student success (Silas O.Falokun, 2016; Dale, 2012).
The successful of the school organization depends on social interaction and
relationships with teachers and leader has their own way of showing dissatisfaction
with something. Moreover Machumu & Kaitila (2014) say that ,school leadership style,
teacher job satisfaction is another important factor affecting school effectiveness.
Hence, leadership style would influence the teachers’ job satisfaction. By
produce best leadership will produce best teachers’ job satisfaction. Because teacher
is the main factor for growing a school, so that school organization must take serious
on teachers’ job satisfaction.
1.2 Statement of the Research Problem
The issues investigated in this study have been identified from these issues
relate to leadership style towards teacher job satisfaction. Discovery related research
with teacher satisfaction has been made. However, there is insufficient evidence of
the relationship between leadership style and teacher's job satisfaction to the needs
of school and the lack of need to be met.
Given the concerns and questions of leadership style and teacher job
satisfaction, there seems to be an urgent need to understand exactly what leadership
3. style affects teachers' job satisfaction. One of the key considerations, when the best
leadership style for teacher job satisfaction has been set up, how to meet the challenge
of educating leaders to change their behaviour to the most effective teacher job
satisfaction.
Study shows that leadership style are important elements in forming positive
teachers’ job satisfaction. However, teachers’ job satisfaction is the impact that can be
gained in teaching and learning process. As leadership style can affects students'
achievement, it is important that leader recognize the degree of influence they have in
forming a positive teachers’ job satisfaction.
Consequently, the purpose of this study focuses on the leadership style among
teachers’ job satisfaction. Finding must be collected to investigate leadership style that
influence teachers’ job satisfaction. Hence, by investigate the leadership style among
teachers’ job satisfaction, the school organization would use strategies that suit their
leader to be a best leader.

2) How does the level of teachers’ job satisfaction at the ten school in Petaling
Perdana?
3) How leadership style influence teachers’ job satisfaction in the ten school in
Petaling Perdana?
4. 1.5 Hypothesis
The hypothesis for this study are:
Ha1: There is a relationship between leadership styles and teachers’ job
satisfaction in ten school in Petaling Perdana.
1.6 Operation Definitions
The following term are defined and used in this study:
1.6.1 Leadership Style
The definition of leadership (nous) from the English Oxford Living Dictionary
(2017) is the action of leading a group of people or an organization by the state
or position of being a leader or the leaders of an organization, country, etc.
Leadership has been recognized as avital focus in the field of organization
behaviour in which it is one of the dynamic effects during individual and
organization interactions (Wahab, Rahmat, Yusof, & Mohamed, 2016).
Accordingly, Leadership style is “evidence by a specific leader in a combination
of task-oriented behaviour and people-oriented behaviour” (Smith, 1999;
Owens, 1981). This study has identified a variety of leadership styles based on
the number of followers. The most appropriate leadership style depends on the
function of the leader, the followers and the situation.
1.6.2 Job satisfaction
Based on Cambridge Dictionary Online (2017), job satisfaction is the feeling of
pleasure and achievement that you experience in your job when you know that
your work is worth doing, or the degree to which your work gives you this feeling.
According to Song & Mustafa (2015), job satisfaction is the degree to which
individuals feel positively or negatively about their jobs. The level of job
satisfaction can affect the work done. The higher the level of job satisfaction,
the better the work produced.
5. 1.7 Limitation of the Study
Limitations are conditions beyond the control of the researcher that may place
restrictions on the conclusions of the study and their applications to other situations
(Nyiha, 2015; Kahn,1998). The limitation for this study is the different leadership style
for each school. Every school have their own leader, and every leader have their own
leadership style. It is how we want to combine every ten school in Petaling Perdana
leadership style.
1.8 Significance of the Study
In a school organization, teachers are an asset to help the school to achieve
their objective, vision and mission. Therefore, it is important for the school organization
to make sure their teachers satisfaction in high level.
Thus, the aspect of leadership style is an important aspect that impact our
teacher job satisfaction. Studies on leadership style are important and necessary but
unfortunately there is still litter research progress in this area.
Research findings from this study can help in making school leader more aware
of their own leadership style and capabilities and help them develop their own
leadership style to support teachers to manage with the increased demand placed
above them there by enhancing the level of teacher job satisfaction. This study can
help other researchers in the country to identify countries that need further research
to fill the gap of information and to supplement existing knowledge groups.
