1984 - 2016
INTRODUCTION
In today’s world, a fundamental factor in preparing children for the future is to have them experience
technology in positive and appropriate ways, and understand its impact on their lives. Finding
effective ways to build technology skills is a tremendously time-consuming task.
Our Computer Explorers (CE) Program, provides children with a chance to discover the endless
possibilities technology offers. Technology will play a critical role in the lives of future leaders and
professionals; children must understand how and why technology woks the way it does.
Computer Explorers not only teaches computer application skills, but also provides electric and
mechanical engineering, computer programming, film-making and editing, digital graphic arts, digital
microscopes, software design, robotics and other hands-on experiences. For over twenty years CE
has been providing technology education to children aged three and older across the United States
and internationally. After-school educational programs are in growing demand, as principals
recognize that the children build their math and science skills through exciting program offerings.
With a team of more than 600 technology teachers in the United States, CE teaches over 25,000
students a week and operates sites in the UK, China and Malaysia. Computer Explorers was CREATED
BY EDUCATORS FOR EDUCATORS and will provide an exciting after-school program for your school.
“The day is rapidly approaching when the primary discriminator between the haves and have-nots
will be the division between those who understand technology and those who do not. It will be age,
sex, color, or culture-it will be technology.”
Dan Golden, Former Director of NASA
Presentation to the Senate on Science and Technology

  • 4. INTRODUCTION In today’s world, a fundamental factor in preparing children for the future is to have them experience technology in positive and appropriate ways, and understand its impact on their lives. Finding effective ways to build technology skills is a tremendously time-consuming task. Our Computer Explorers (CE) Program, provides children with a chance to discover the endless possibilities technology offers. Technology will play a critical role in the lives of future leaders and professionals; children must understand how and why technology woks the way it does. Computer Explorers not only teaches computer application skills, but also provides electric and mechanical engineering, computer programming, film-making and editing, digital graphic arts, digital microscopes, software design, robotics and other hands-on experiences. For over twenty years CE has been providing technology education to children aged three and older across the United States and internationally. After-school educational programs are in growing demand, as principals recognize that the children build their math and science skills through exciting program offerings. With a team of more than 600 technology teachers in the United States, CE teaches over 25,000 students a week and operates sites in the UK, China and Malaysia. Computer Explorers was CREATED BY EDUCATORS FOR EDUCATORS and will provide an exciting after-school program for your school. “The day is rapidly approaching when the primary discriminator between the haves and have-nots will be the division between those who understand technology and those who do not. It will be age, sex, color, or culture-it will be technology.” Dan Golden, Former Director of NASA Presentation to the Senate on Science and Technology 3
