1. Causes Of Poverty Essay
Crafting an essay on the causes of poverty can be a challenging endeavor, as it requires a
comprehensive understanding of various economic, social, and political factors that contribute to
this complex issue. The difficulty lies in the vast scope of the topic, which demands meticulous
research and thoughtful analysis to provide a nuanced perspective.
Firstly, delving into the economic aspects necessitates a thorough examination of income
inequality, unemployment rates, and the impact of globalization on marginalized communities.
This involves sifting through an abundance of statistical data, economic theories, and scholarly
articles to draw informed conclusions.
Social dynamics also play a crucial role, involving an exploration of educational disparities,
access to healthcare, and discrimination based on factors such as race, gender, or ethnicity.
Tackling these aspects requires a deep dive into sociology, anthropology, and related fields to
comprehend the intricate web of societal structures that perpetuate poverty.
Furthermore, the political dimension demands an understanding of policy decisions, both
historical and contemporary, that shape the economic landscape. This involves scrutinizing
government policies, international relations, and the influence of political ideologies on poverty
alleviation efforts.
The difficulty intensifies when attempting to synthesize these multifaceted factors into a
cohesive and compelling narrative. Balancing objectivity with empathy is crucial to avoid
oversimplification or overlooking the human aspect of poverty. Crafting a thesis statement that
encapsulates the interconnectedness of these causes while providing a clear roadmap for the
essay adds another layer of complexity.
Despite these challenges, writing an essay on the causes of poverty can be an intellectually
rewarding process. It prompts critical thinking, encourages the development of analytical skills,
and fosters a deeper understanding of the societal issues at hand. However, it is essential to
approach the task with diligence, patience, and a commitment to presenting a well-researched
and thought-provoking piece.

2. Comparing Joseph And Dun
While you re doing fine, there s some people and I who have a really rough time
getting through this life, so excuse us while we sing to the sky. The artist writes this
in his third album Vessel. In this song called, Screen, he explains what is going on in
his mind, in a way that only he can understand. Tyler Joseph acts as an artist
/songwriter in the band Twenty One Pilots, with his best friend Josh Dun. With both
members in the group being christian, many of his songs reference and contain
messages about God. However, both Joseph and Dun explain that their reasoning for
making musicis to make people think , and also find joy in what they come to believe
Tyler Joseph gives an individual the opportunity to question their emotions and...

In the band s new album entitled Blurryface, Joseph makes up a character, who is
present throughout the album, named Blurryface. The purpose of Blurryface is to put
a face onto a person s insecurities and internal struggles. So it is possible to define
and understand what is being fought, but still able to conquer it. In one of the band s
most well known songs called Stressed Out, Joseph writes, ...Who is Blurryface and
why does he want me dead... This is Joseph himself trying to understand his own
compulsive thoughts and the demons in his head. By the end of the song Joseph has
defined blurryface, and writes, ...My name is Blurryface and I care what you
think... He realizes Blurryface for him is the need he has for justification, and
when he does not receive it he becomes his own worst enemy. The journey of
Blurryface does not end here, in the last song entitled Goner, Joseph writes, ...I ve
got two faces, Blurry s the one I m not, I need your help to take him out. Here is
where Joseph wins the battle, he has established the barrier between him and
Blurryface, and is where he asks the fan base to help. Instead of fighting the battle
alone, he recognizes the people who care for him and how much they can do for
him. Everybody has their own Blurryface, and everybody needs to defeat their
Blurryface, but not
3. We Real Cool Quotes
In both What s It Like to be a Gang Member and We Real Cool, gang life is
portrayed as a dangerous lifestyle for cool people to live by, demonstrating that it s
not a particularly nice way to live. As the author of What s It Like to be a Gang
Member said, I started in low level gangs, stealing, peddling goods, getting into
fights... This quote shows that the people living that sort of life can start off small,
doing smaller crimes, being in low level gangs, but eventually, they will be deeper
into gang business, and it will be harder for them to leave. They would end up in
more trouble, and in a higher level gang. He also mentions, there was immense
peer pressure to join in, whether you wanted to or not. As you can see, it s harder
to escape that lifestyle because you keep on doing it more, and you won t be able to

We left school. This quote basically tells you that they think they re really cool, and
that they left school. Leaving school usually means that the student doesn t really
care about school, or they don t have enough money to go. But, the fact that they
think they re cool, means that they probably just don t care about school or the
rules. She also mentions, We lurk late. As you can see, this shows that they live a
dangerous life because at night, many bad things can happen, and they might be
the cause of that. If they were the reason that those things happen, the police would
be after them, and they would have to run, or find a way to not get into trouble.
Finally, the author said, We die soon. This proves that they live a dangerous life
even more because a lot of them will die early from ass the things that do. They
could end up getting hurt badly from a fight, and could end up dying, or they could
get hurt by a lot of other things they do, like running away from people they re trying

4. The Kingdom of God
The Kingdom of God is a hidden, but important theme in the New Testament of the
Bible. It isn t a place, but rather a state of being. Jesus spends most of his life living
as an example of the Kingdom of God. Through Jesus teachings, people begin to
understand what it truly means to live in the Kingdom. This theme is mainly
introduced in the gospel of Mark and progresses further in depth throughout the New
Testament. The meaning of the Kingdom of Godis found in the words of JesusChrist.
He provides an insight to the Kingdom and how to be a part of it. Through a more
in depth look, one can find that many factors influence the presence and meaning of
the Kingdom of God. Some factors include, but are not limited to: lifestyle, the Lord s

God s will must be done to enter the Kingdom of God. Jesus makes it known that
Christians should live for God and through God. People should do all things
through God to successfully enter the Kingdom of God. Christians should have joy
in all actions completed through God. Whether volunteering through the church, or
helping a friend, do it in the right mindset to please God. Authority in the Kingdom
of God is crucial to being a part of it. Authority is having power over someone or
something, the right to give orders, and enforce obedience. (Webster) With regard
to the Kingdom of God, authority fits into place in a couple categories. First, one
must have authority over Satan and evil to be a part of the Kingdom of God. Having
power over Satan is pivotal to God s Kingdom. Without power over Satan, has
someone truly defeated evil? Authority over evil ensures that no evil enters God s
Kingdom. The major ways we give claim to the Enemy in our lives are through sin
and through making agreements with Satan. (Eldredge) Jesus shows an example of
authority over Satan when he is in the desert. Satan tempts Jesus with many things,
but Jesus resists and conquers Satan with each temptation. He backs each temptation
with evidentiary support, beginning with, it is written, from the old testament. (The
Holy Bible, Matt. 4:1 11). Jesus shows that authority over Satan is important to the
Kingdom of God. Second, authority over

6. BethovenВґs Monnlight Sonata History
Beethoven s first movement from his infamous Moonlight Sonata is most illustrious
for its bittersweet melancholic sound. It is in the key of C# minor as it has four
sharps in its key signature and sounds like it is in the minor tonality. Beethoven gives
an indication to how the performer should interpret their role with the phrase adagio
sostenuto which means to play at a slow tempo(66 beats per minute) and to effectively
utilize the sustained pedal. Sempre e senza sordino means to the whole piece ought to
be played with the utmost delicacy and without damper. From the interpretations of
his instructions, it can be concluded that Beethoven wanted this movement to be
interpreted with sensitivity and colour.
The bass line is a prominent feature in texturizing the movement. The most distinctive
characteristics in the bass line are its Neapolitan chords which are strategically placed
amidst chords of double octaves. This prevents the movement sounding too much like
a lullaby and adds more colour and tension. The movement starts out pianissimo and
diverges between pianissimo and piano to maintain a soothing sound. Its luxurious
ostinato triplet melody creates a lullaby like feeling within the piece. However, the
melancholic tone is instilled within the 3rd bar where the d natural within the triplet
melody stands out. This adheres to the purpose of advancing the momentum of the
piece as the lowered d provides variation in the triplet melody so it is not as
repetitive. To

8. Wireless Sensor Network ( Wsn )
Wireless sensor network From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia A wireless sensor
network (WSN) is a computer network consisting of spatially distributed
autonomous devices using sensors to cooperatively monitor physical or
environmental conditions, such as temperature, sound, vibration, pressure, motion
or pollutants, at different locations.[1] The development of wireless sensor
networks was originally motivated by military applications such as battlefield
surveillance. However, wireless sensor networks are now used in many civilian
application areas, including environment and habitat monitoring, healthcare
applications, home automation, and traffic control.[1][2] In addition to one or
more sensors, each node in a sensor network is typically equipped with a radio
transceiver or other wireless communications device, a small microcontroller, and
an energy source, usually a battery. The size a single sensor node can vary from
shoebox sized nodes down to devices the size of grain of dust.[1] The cost of
sensor nodes is similarly variable, ranging from hundreds of dollars to a few cents,
depending on the size of the sensor network and the complexity required of individual
sensor nodes.[1] Size and cost constraints on sensor nodes result in corresponding
constraints on resources such as energy, memory, computational speed and
bandwidth.[1] In computer science, wireless sensor networks are an active research
area with numerous workshops and conferences arranged each year.
9. It Speaks With Authority In The Scarlet Letter By...
A quotation in a speech, article or book is like a rifle in the hands of an
infantryman. It speaks with authority. The Scarlet Letter Nathaniel Hawthorne
When he found the eyes of Hester Prynne fastened on his own, and saw that she
appeared to recognize him, he slowly and calmly raised his finger, made a gesture
with it in the air, and laid it on his lips. (Hawthorne 92 3). This quote reflects the
overall theme because when we look at the novel and the story, it all revolves
around secrecy and hiding the truth. This quote is from where keeping secrets
begin. Hester Prynne, the main character has committed adultery by cheating on
her husband, Roger Chillingworth (who was away) with Reverend Arthur
Dimmesdale. Hester has been caught because she couldn t hide her pregnancy
which led to punishment. While she is out on public display to be shamed, her
husband comes into town. Now, no one knows who her husband is, they just knew
she was married. As for Roger, he does not want anyone to know that he s the
husband. So when he sees Hester and she sees him, he puts his finger on his lips
so she knows to not say anything. Then, all throughout the book, the Author is
trying to hide that he s the father of the child and that he s the one who committed
adultery with her. The quote is the start and the theme of the book. The raising of
the finger to his lips is the sign of secrecy and from then on, it s a battle between
keeping the truth hidden and letting the truth and consequences get out. The
secrets are what causes everything in the book to spiral out and happen the way
they did. Their secrets have consequences. Beloved Toni Morrison That s what

had that lump and couldn t speak but her eyes rolled out tear. Them boys found out
I told on em, School teacher made one open my back and when it closed, it made a
tree. It grows there still. (Morrison 16 7 ) One of the reasons as to why Beloved
was written was to reveal the horrors of slavery and what it can do to a person. This
quote perfectly reflects that; it describes what Sethe, the main character, went through
as being a former slave. Sethe attempted to kill and killed her two
10. Analysis of Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening Essay
Analysis of Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening
Diction (i.e. choice of vocabulary) The diction of Stopping by Woods on a Snowy
Evening is extremely simple. None of the vocabulary is difficult or unusual, and
most of the most of the words are short and plain, for example woods , house ,
snow , horse . None of the descriptions, either of the setting, or the horse, is detailed
or elaborate: the horse is simply, little ; the lake is frozen (but we learn nothing else
about it), and the only time more than one adjective is used to described anything is
when we are told that the woods are: lovely, dark and deep .
One major effect of such plain and simple diction is to give the poem a ... Show more

12. The Effect Of Temperature On Dissolved Oxygen
The relation of earth and space science to the effect of temperature on dissolved
oxygen
Over the past few years, scientists are becoming convinced that climate change
caused by mankind has the potential to change Earth forever. If greenhouse gases
weren t there, global temperatures would be around 20 30 degrees Celsius colder
than it is now. This may be too cold for life on Earth to survive. The main force
behind Earth s climate is energy from the Sun. Energy travels from the Sun in short
waves infrared radiation. Some of the infrared radiation that travels from the Sun
does not get past the Earth s atmosphere, but, a lot of it does and it is then absorbed
by the land and the sea, and heats them up. The Earth re radiates the energy back ...

There are always natural variations in climate, however the variations caused by
humans are much greater.
Our planet now, is extremely different to how it was 300 years ago. The population
is now a lot larger. There has been the industrial revolution and there is more
technology around today. We ve used a lot of fossil fuels and we are now almost
completely reliant on them to do most things in our day to day lives. When fossil
fuels are burned, they produce a gas called carbon dioxide, which is also known as
CO2. The human race is now producing quite huge quantities of carbon dioxide, over
7 gigatonnes a year.
Carbon dioxide is a greenhouse gas that is found naturally in the Earth s
atmosphere. All the extra carbon dioxide, produced by burning fossil fuels, is
making the greenhouse gases around the Earth too effective. In other words less
energy escapes back into space. Instead, the trapped energy in our atmosphere heats
up the Earth s climate, causing climate change. There are also other things humans
are doing that are increasing the amount of carbon dioxide in the Earth s
atmosphere. Plants and treed absorb carbon dioxide as they use it to make food
through photosynthesis. This is another cause of an increase in carbon dioxide
because of the amount of deforestation that is taking place. So, instead of carbon
dioxide being locked away in plants and trees, it is up in the atmosphere. An example
of this is

Advocacy...
Beliefs are individualised opinions and a set of core convictions that can support
our actions as humans. I believe that it is beneficial for nurses and residents to
embrace the aspects of person centred care rather than focusing on the tasks
particularly in a gerontological care setting. I also believe that nurses have a
significant role in fighting for resident s rights and advocacy. This paper highlights
factors that are beneficial in the provision of person centred care in aged care
facilities. Also, the author wants to discuss how significant the nurses are as an
advocate for residents and to identify ways in promoting resident advocacy. The
said beliefs will focus on care in the elderly that may help in achieving their self
worth and will lead to positive health outcome. This essay will enumerate beliefs
and correlate it to evidence base research. The role of the nurses in caring and
advocacy comes with great responsibility. There are certain values that a nurse
should possess. Caring for a vulnerable person such as the elderly requires patience
and extensive understanding. There are several approaches that a nurse set into
practice when giving care to a person. One factor is focusing on the tasks, for
instance, taking of vital signs, wound dressing and attending to personal hygiene.
Another factor is a person oriented care wherein the nurse focuses on knowing the
resident, their beliefs, preference and applying it to the practice of tasks. Caring is
more than just a

created in order to suit towards consumers who are living a heavily sedentary life

products and presenting them in this way, those with cellular devices or access to a
computer are able to buy their desired item without having to move outside of their
homes. It creates a win win situation for the corporation and the consumer. However,
the issue comes from the fact that the consumer is not improving their overall health
by remaining inside their house and using these products that have minimum effects
on an inactive body. In this case, it will become a win lose situation with the
corporation being able to profit off of this type of consumers and the consumer not
being able to receive the results that they desire for after viewing the advertisements
that emphasized the notion of thin bodies being attractive. Following this case, these
advertisements spend more time on emphasizing the image of an active and attractive
body than the scientific properties that are found behind the use of a physical or

15. Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky Revelations
Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, who was later also known as Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky,
was born in 1840 in Russia. He was the first Russian who got an international fame
due to his music in the classical repertoire. Regarding our essay, we have chosen the
song which is originally composed by Tchaikovsky and then later in 1895, Ivanov
along with Petipa revised the Swan Lake.
The choreography of Swan lake The Kirov Ballet basically focuses on is the
Revelations and Bacchanale. Revelation is the dance that I like the most, however,
Baccanale is my least favorite dance. To me, the dance symbolizes the parson s
socialization in western civilization concerning roles of gender. In the past era,
there was a gesture that was separated from full embodiment and emotion, but with
the passage of time, those gestures become more recognizable and meaningful.
People move with the rhythm of the music, which is known as Dance. It is also
known as art performance that contains organized and selected movements of the
human body. There are several kinds of dance such as informal, professional
performance, and ritual performance. The dance involves several moves of the
body with the music in the specific space to express emotions, feelings of joy or an
idea to get delighted by the body movements and also with the purpose to release
energy.
Revelations
Revelations is my most favorite dance and it was first performed by the Alvin
Ailey in American Dance Theatre and is known as three section dance. The reason
why it fascinates me a lot is that each section of this dance focus and display
distinct factors that the people (Africans Americans) affected since the era of
slavery and it is still present to fight for their rights. The theme of this dance is a
unity that is showcased in every piece that was controversial in America because of
racial discrimination. Pilgrim of Sorrow is the first section of this dance that is
opened with a group of dancers. The dancers are in harmony using their arms in
alegato tempo to create angular shapes. The dancers constantly moved and separated
separately, but in the other step they would come back as one unit and become
coordinated where they extended their long arms upwards. Their hands in the air seem

* Sub cultures Form Through Rewards.. Employees have many different wants and

behaviors desired by managers for the overall company. This is often how
subcultures are formed, as people get social rewards from coworkers or have their
most important needs met in their departments or project teams. * п‚· People
Shape the Culture. Personalities and experiences of employees create the culture of
an organization. For example, if most of the people in an organization are very
outgoing, the culture is likely to be open and sociable. If many artifacts depicting
the company s history and values are in evidence throughout the company, people
value their history and culture. If doors are open, and few closed door meetings are
held, the culture is unguarded. If negativity about supervision and the company is
widespread and complained about by employees, a culture of negativity, that is
difficult to overcome, will take hold. * п‚· Culture is Negotiated. One person cannot
create a culture alone. Employees must try to change the direction, the work
environment, the way work is performed, or the manner in which decisions are made
within the general norms of the workplace. Culture change is a process of give and

18. Literary Criticism Of The Ones Who Walk Away Essay
Can a literary criticism involving African Americans further enhance the
understanding of a short story about a utopian society? It may seem improbable from
the surface because these two pieces of literature seem unrelated when viewed
without intensity. The literary criticism, Playing in the Dark, describes the roles of
African Americans in literature and how these roles can also reflect and impact our
current culture and world. On the other hand, the fictional short story, The Ones Who
Walk Away from Omelas describes a utopian society called Omelas and the lifestyle of
its inhabitants. However, after understanding African Americanism and the
connection of dark and whitesymbolism through Toni Morrison s criticism, readers
can then comprehend the seemingly simple characters and the plot in The Ones
Who Walk Away From Omelas in better detail. Also, the ambiguous details of the
plot of The Ones Who Walk Away from Omelas are become more clear when
examined through the eyes of Toni Morrison and her criticism on literature.
Therefore, through the analysis of the concepts such as the co dependency and
reverse symbolism of black and white and the idea of naturalized associations in
African Americanism mentioned in Playing in the Dark, the symbolic meaning of the
roles of dark and lightand the relationship of happiness and sadness throughout The
Ones Who Walk Away from Omelas are brought into greater context through the city
of Omelas, it surroundings, and its inahbitants.

19. A Discourse On Inequality By Rousseau
Within A Discourse on Inequality , Rousseau reveals a core trait of his philosophy
that wasn t present in any of his predecessors; his faith and trust in the inherent
goodness of man. Many of the negative, evil aspects of humanity that he devotes so
much of his time to arguing against do not arise from men, but rather from various
socio political institutions. Rousseau was a strong writer, and like any strong writer
he used many different rhetorical tactics in his arguments. Rousseau s strongest
rhetorical device was his definition of mankind s nature, and the ways in which he
relied upon this true state of nature to continually enforce his argument that man is a
naturally good and compassionate being. In his demonstration of a state of nature that
no longer exists, which has, perhaps, never existed, Rousseau shows his audience
what a world where people lived within a pure state of nature would be like. In
attempting to define what human nature would be like without any social
establishments, Rousseau strengthens his idea that without these institutions,
mankind would be truly free and living without any type of dissension or conflict.
Rousseau often speaks of the true state of nature. Before continuing any further in this
argument, the true state of nature must be clearly defined and specified. Rousseau
describes the natural man, a creature he speaks of as a simple being without the
capacity for reason, morals, or self improvement. What he means by this is not the

Genetically modified organisms are not properly tested. In fact, the FDA abstains

time Bobby cleans his room, he gets to draw from the jar until he gets a reward. This

showed that the kingdom was willing to use prized items from trade in order to
showcase the princess. Not only did the court required the princess to look her
best, but also needed her to be a skillful candidate. Taihe had to learn a new style of
dance before leaving Chang an and had been trained to be an excellent

trained by the imperial court to only be married. A famous writing by a Chinese

low status of women in this era, their role in the society was needed to keep

When the environment for portfolio management changed and as Fletcher began
being overwhelmed with research, he sought to create a team of analysts that could
assist him with his work. Fletcher failed to build this team on his first attempt as a
result of several causes. There were multiple mistakes that Fletcher made that can be
seen in his interactions with people. The first was his assistant Whitley which he had

Even though this might have taken Fletcher more time to build his team, it could
have been more effective in the long run if he hired analysts with less experience but
more open thinking. An example of how this worked was with Whitley, who Fletcher
molded into a portfolio manager. From a broader approach, issues can be seen in
Fletcher s management style. Not only was it disorganized, but he spent most of his
time focusing on his work, not his team. This however was of course his nature.
From The Five Minds of a Manager Fletcher did not display all of the managerial
mindsets required to be successful. The most important was that he lacked the
collaborative mindset. Fletcher not only lacked an engaging personality towards his
team s problems, but he didn t consider the relationships among people. He thought
that as long as a person could perform their job, then that was all that mattered.
Getting along to him was not crucial. Of course, this is the exact opposite thinking of
the collaborative mindset which fosters teamwork and strong relationships. There
were some things that Fletcher did do well. For one, he began to have the reflective
mindset at the end by pondering as to how to create an effective team. This shows
that not only is he thinking about what has happened, but he may be starting to step

26. Analysis Of Angelou s I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings
The world of literature has been dominated by males throughout most of history;
this is due to the fact that women we re thought of as inferior to men. Over the last
100 years women have been proving themselves in this sexist society, especially in
the world of literature poetry, to be more specific. Two names come to mind when
thinking of great female poets: Maya Angelou and Emily Dickinson. Even thought
both of these women we re outstanding poets, they had quite different styles of
writing due to the difference in time periods, experiences, and culture. As time goes
by, society is influenced in different ways due to human evolution. This was true
for both Maya Angelou and Emily Dickinson. Maya Angelou was born April 4,
1928. This means she was born right in the middle of segregation. This influenced
Angelou because she was an African American woman who wrote about freedom
for her people. The best example would be her famous novel and poem I Know Why
The Caged Bird Sings. The book is about her life struggles and the poem is a
metaphor about a bird that seeks freedom. The final stanzaof the poem reads The
caged bird sings with a fearful trill of things unknown but longed for still and his
tune is heard on the distant hill for the caged bird sings of freedom. This excerpt of
the poem demonstrates how she yearned for her people to get the freedom they
deserved. The comparison of the caged bird and the bird that s free can be seen in
many different ways. The first one

The nursing tasks include an ongoing interaction with patients, families, and other

have the utmost responsibility to guard the patient s safety. However, the American
Nurses Association [ANA] (2015) made a valid point in stating that keeping patients
safe and well starts by having a healthy nurse working in a safe environment.
Additionally, Kieft, De Brouwer, Francke, and Delnoij (2014) also mentioned the
study of the direct correlation between the nurses working environment and the
patients quality of care. As such, nurses have to be cognizant of these environmental

29. Literary Analysis Of Amy Lowell s September, 1918
In September, 1918 , Amy Lowell shows her readers an interesting and illuminating
poem. That war can be an ugly time and the people that experience it often seems to
live in a broken world (19). To fight an evil, sometimes war is needed, nonetheless it
is still costly to the people living through the war. Some in a literal sense, like soldiers
fighting in a war, while some in a physical sense by the world that they now see and
live in. I find the poem truly interesting though, in how the author shows that even in
war we can still hold onto hope for more promising days. Lowell portrays a
melancholy mood throughout her poem that makes her readers thinking about war
but also the hope of it being over.
In this poem, we see the tone light and free, also much imagery. We see this
immediately with the first line saying, the afternoon was the colour of water falling
through sunlight (1). We immediately get a sense of a beautiful day, maybe even fall
with the trees descriptions in the following line, trees glittered with the tumbling of
leaves (2). Lowell shows such beautiful imagery throughout her poem especially in
her first two stanzas, that when we read that they are in the middle of war in the third
stanza, that it is slightly shocking. That there are two little boys, lying flat on their
faces (7) and that they are, carefully gathering red berries (8). Here Lowell shows
that it is still a beautiful day but the darker reality is that they are currently in a war.
Then we start to see the poem more in a melancholy light. That these two little boys
are picking berries to save for later, instead of enjoying it right now. However one
day the boys wish that there will be no more war (10), and that then, they could in
fact enjoy their berries, their afternoon and turn it in my fingers . In this poem, we
clearly see the different tones throughout. Lowell shows us the light tone, then a more
melancholy tone and then finally a hopeful tone.
Lowell s poem also seems to radiate a blissful moment and lesson in a time of
darkness. That yes, they are experiencing a war but it doesn t mean that there are no
more serene moments. For example, how Lowell describes the day, in the poem, as
peaceful and the people in the

The Baghdad battery was the foundation of this project and Baghdad batteries were

The battery is composed of a clay pot, a copper tube enclosing a half inch metal tube
and an asphalt stopper as a resistor. Inside the clay, there is a solution which contains
electrolytes such as vinegars and juice. Scholars found out that the Parathions first
ferment their wine as so that the wine will contain more free ions. And the copper

32. The Global Problem Facing Chinese Construction Firms
1. Introduction
Zhao and Shen (2008) and a number of other recent researchers considered that the
emerging problem facing Chinese Construction Firms (CCFs) with regard to
competitiveness is their insufficient share in the international markets (Liu, et al.,
2013; ENR, 2014). Chinese contractors have captured the market lead in the African
construction market, but challenges in the European and American markets still
remain (ENR, 2014). This is evidenced by the inclusion of 62 CCFs in the top 250
global contractors list in the Engineering News Record (ENR 2014); with these 62
Chinese firms accounting for 14.5% of the total international revenue in 2013. In

After China joined the World Trade Organization (WTO) in December 2001, the
government was able to extend its global reach and secure an increasing number of
foreign construction agreements (Wen, 2005; Hu, 2007). In 2014, Chinese president
Xi Jinping signed more than 20 bilateral agreements with Argentina to offer finance
and construction infrastructure in exchange for raw materials; The China
Development Bank will provide US$7.5bn in loans to Argentina for dams and
construction programs (Quirke, 2014).
International construction markets are considered more accessible to foreign firms as
a consequence of globalization (Kim, et al., 2010). Numerous Chinese contractors
have started to strategically develop overseas propositions to gain new revenue and
minimize domestic market risk (Li, 2006; Zhao and Shen, 2008) as domestic
competition in the Chinese construction market has become increasingly intensive,
due to numerous firms over borrowing and over building, causing an imbalance in the
economy (Anderlini, 2015).
Recent economic liberalisation of the construction market has placed private
contractors in a stronger position to compete for work. At the same time, to be
successful requires more sophisticated project management to enhance
competitiveness (Fang, et al, 2004; Lim, et al., 2010). It is useful to identify the

Electrical machines have gained a distinctive interest by experts because their
advantages are indisputable because of their ability to adapt to any environment and
their efficient efficiency, thus exceeding other non electric actuators. The induction
machine (IM) is currently the most widely used electrical machine in both domestic
and industrial applications. Its main advantage lies in its simplicity of mechanical
and electrical design (absence of rotor winding (cage machine) and collector, simple
structure, robust and easy to build .....). However, these advantages are accompanied
by a high degree of physical complexity, linked to the electromagnetic coupling
between the magnitudes of the stator and those of the rotor. This is why, for a long
time, IM was only used in constant speed drives.(El kharashi and El dessouki, 2014).
It is only after the revolution in electronics computing and power electronics that the
field of variable speed drive by AC machines has grown tremendously. Especially
since digital processors, such as Digital Signal Processors (DSPs), Field
Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs), which specialize in driving electrical
machines, have facilitated experimental implantation. It is not by chance that the
work on the IM is the subject of intense research in several fields, be it for the
synthesis of control laws, for the calculation and optimization of yield or for the
development of a strategy of diagnosis and detection of failures. This is confirmed

The 1960 s were a time in which Americans started questioning everything they

are immune to laughter because they are victims of the combine. The central conflict
in the novel revolves around the power struggle between Nurse Ratched and
McMurphy. McMurphy has no qualms; he is careless and crude. Nurse Ratched is a
ruthless dictator, who strongly encourages patients to follow her rules in order to
avoid harsh consequences. McMurphy recognizes this immediately and becomes the
chief leader of rebellion in the novel. He encourages gambling on the ward, deviously

The period of the 1920 s to 1950 s where known as the studio era in Hollywood. A
few major companies monopolized the industry through vertical integration when the
film companies controlled all production distribution and exhibition. The majors
determined which movies were shown in which theatres, choosing their own over

staff went to agents who brought them together with a script and a director and a

1 Samuel picks up the theme of war, disobedience and provision from Judges and
carries them forward through God s use of Samuel and Saul. God used them to
bring Israel victory over their oppressors despite Israel s continued disobedience.
Through his provision of the judges, victories and kings, God displayed his
omnipotence over the Israelites. Since these themes are carried over throughout
Judges and 1 Samuel, Godis shown to be the same God over his people.
From the start of Judges, war is a prevalent theme. This theme is present in the first
verse when the Israelites asked, Who shall go... against the Canaanites to fight
against them? Time and time again the Lord raised up judges to deliver Israel from
the oppression they faced. Even Gideon was referred to by God as a mighty warrior
in chapter 6. Similar to the judges, Samuel was called by God to deliver the people.
According to the New Oxford Annotated Bible, Samuel is depicted as a transitional
figure leading up to the king the people asked for. Saul was appointed the king

Vincent Millay spring is conveyed as the opposite, death and a meaningless life.
The natural imagery that Millay applies to the poem is very dark and tense. On the
surface the smell of the earth is good (line 8), it is apparent that there is no death
(line 9) in spring, but the truth is under ground are the brains of men [,] eaten by
maggots [,] life in itself is nothing (line 11 14). The image that is created in this
poem fluctuates as first we are presents with a lie, that spring is beautiful in its
entirety. However, Millay reveals the truth of spring by talking about its weaknesses.
Although natural is related to beauty, in this poem Millay utilizes the natural essence
of the underground earth and maggots to create a very horrific and intense profile of
spring. In addition the plot twist surprises the reader not only through the words but
also by the sudden change in the visualization. This surprise quickly makes the reader
visualize spring as death, the underground and maggots , instead of the smell of the
earth and absence of death Millay appropriately utilize the imagery of nature to
promote the theme of how spring signifies death and a pointless life. Furthermore this
signifies that image and existence of death overwhelms the beauty that life

The consumption of the oil cause changes in the supply and demand. The United
States produces 11 million barrels of oil every day. We are one of the biggest
countries to have a big influence on the production and prices of the oil. The basic
supply and demand theory explains that the if a product is produced more, the
cheaper it should sell. If a country were to double the output of oil day, prices
would fall and the Production is high, but the distribution of oil isn t keeping up

by Laban, the father of Leah and Rachel. The deal with Laban was to for Jacob to
work for Laban so he could Marry Rachel. Instead of this Laban deceived Jacob and
after seven years gave Jacob Leah when Jacob found out Laban said he would have
to work for seven more years to marry Rachel. Nevertheless Jacob throughout his
life deceived people he loved and was deceived by people he trusted. God is
accepted Jacob and that his descendants would rule the land of Canaan through
Isaac s blessing. Esau also accepted Jacob into love and was kind to him when they
met further in both of their lives . When Jacob saw Esau coming he had four
hundred men with him, Jacob was fearful of his brother so he guarded his family
and prayed to God that his brother would spare his life and spare the lives of his
family. When Esau came to Jacob he didn t kill him, but embraced him and helped
him. Jacob also did not accept Leah, Rachel s sister for whom he loved more. This
favor towards Rachel also followed through when she was barren, but finally gave
birth to Joseph. Jacob loved Joseph more than all his children Chronicles 5:1 the
45. Battle On The Plains Of Abraham And The Metis
Battles help students realize the perspectives of each side. For an example, Battle on
the Plains of Abraham and Battle of Seven Oaks have perspectives of British and
French or Scottish and The Metis, which makes students become more aware of
which side they agree on . However, both of these battles started with a vengeance,
hatred and wrongdoings, but differ in the terms of their elaborate details, specific
reasons, and surprising results after the fighting.
One similarity between these 2 battles is that the English side caused both of the
battles. The British caused it by capturing Louisberg and Quebec on the other hand,
the Scottish banned the Metis from trading meat, fish, or vegetables from the Red
river. Both, British and Scottish tortured their enemies in different ways. The Scottish
starved The Metis and took things away from them whereas The British bombarded
Louisberg so the French would surrender it. In addition, the French ... Show more

battle are still remembered today (park). One of them was taken at the Plains of
Abraham while the other one was taken at Seven Oaks near the Red River. About
1300 soldiers died on the Plains of Abraham. Equally, both of these militaryfights
lasted for about a few minutes but happened on different times of the periods. Unlike
the Battle on the plains of Abraham that happened on September 13th, 1759, The
battle of Seven oaks happened on the June 19th,1816. The Battle on the Plains of
Abraham was the bloodiest battle in Canadian
46. The Ebola virus (EBOV) Essay
1.Introduction
The Ebola virus (EBOV) is a dangerous virus which has a chance of mortality when
infected up to 90%. This makes it one of the most deadly viruses for humans in the
world. 1, 2 It does not stop there. Various EBOV outbreaks have fatally infected tens
of thousands of chimpan zees, duikers and gorillas. It those areas it is a great threat
to the wildlife.3
EBOV belongs to the order of the nonsegmented negative sense (NNS)RNA type
viruses, the Mononegavirales and it is part of the family Filoviridae. EBOV is a
member of the genus Ebolavirus. This genus has five distinct species: Bundibugyo
ebolavirus, Zaire ebolavirus, Su dam ebolavirus, TaГЇ Forest ebola virus and Reston

Interferon signaling is the release of proteins by the host cell to communicate to the
immune system that there are pathogens present in the host cell. Second in
combination with NP and VP35 it takes part of the formation of the nu cleocapsid
and third, it is shown that without VP24 there is far les VP30 in virus like particles.
The last shows VP24 is nessecary for a fully functional nucleocapsid.13
The polymerase cofactor VP35 is a protein in the nucleocapsid that just as VP24,
possesses the ability to inhibit interferon signaling.14 Also it probably regulates the
transcription and replication.15
VP30 is also in the nucleocapsid and possible has a direct interaction in the
transcription of EBOV RNA. Also it probably regulates replication. 15
The RNA Polymerase L protein is a part of the replication and transcription cycle. It
is also believed that it regulates the enzymatic activities for replication and
transcription
The NP plays an central role in virus replication. Also it is necessary, together with
VP24 and VP35, to build nucleocapsid like structures.6 Although NP is so important
for the virus, its exact role is still unknown.

47. Perjury
PERJURY
WHAT IS PERJURY?
Perjury is the willful and corrupt taking of a false oath in regard to a material matter
in a judicial proceedings. It is sometimes called lying under oath i.e., deliberately
telling a lie in a courtroom after having taken an oath to tell the truth. It is important
that the false statement be material to case at hand, means that false statement could
effect the outcome of the case. It is not considered perjury, for example : to lie about
age unless age is a key factor in proving the case.
Perjury can be used as a threat. Although, perjury is a very serious crime under state
and Federal laws, and while prosecutors often threaten prosecution, the member of
actual prosecution for perjury is tiny. The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The allegation that, Zaheera Sheikh took money to retract her statement is open to
judicial scrutiny. Witnesses turning hostile in several cases take not only the courts
for a __ but Justice itself.
Zaheera Sheikh is not a only example of someone allegedly having committed
perjury there are majority of cases in which witnesses give false evidence or retract
their statements at a later stage, which results in the accused being acquitted.
If the Indian courts started taking action against falsehood the case of perjury would
outnumber all other categories of cases. But the Best Bakery Case, as indeed the
Jessica Lal Murder Case, have become high profile and are therefore being
highlighted and discussed in detail.
Under section 191, of the Indian Penal Code, perjury is defined as giving false
evidence . The person is prosecuted to have given false statement at some point, but
hardly anyone, including legal experts, can recall a single case before Best Bakery
Case and the Jessica Lal murder case in which a person was prosecuted for making a
false statement before the court.
Under section 191 of the IPC, an affidavit is evidence and a person swearing to a
false affidavit is guilty of perjury, which is punishable of imprisonment which may
extend to seven years.
However, action against making a false statement should be
48. The Hegemonic Construction Of Ireland
Migration has fundamentally changed the nature of Irish society. Ireland has recently
become a country of immigration; nonetheless the changes have been rapid and have
changed the country significantly both north and south of the boarder. It is one of a
number of peripheral European countries which has transformed from having a
lengthy history of emigration, to becoming a recipient of substantial inward
migration. In Ireland today, migration Is one of the topics under discussion
(Gilmartin White 2008; 143). Although written in 2008, the statement remains true a
number of years later. Irish society has changed much in the last decade; new
immigrant communities of ethnic minorities are visible throughout the country. As a
consequence of immigration, people are different in significant ways and these
differences create both opportunities and challenges.
This essay aims to analyse the current hegemonic construction of Ireland as an open,
welcoming and multicultural society on account of immigration. Additionally, the
essay will draw upon the overpowering prejudices shaped within contemporary Irish
society by way of examining experiences of racism within migration and non
nationals. For the purpose of this essay, the definition of an immigrant will follow
closely what Hammar has proposed, An immigrant is a person who migrates to a
country and then actually resides there longer than a short period of time, i.e. for
more than three months (1985; 11).

49. Wedding Planning Mistakes
Houston, we have a problem. No bride wants to hear those words, but people do
make mistakes in planning their wedding. Wedding planning mistakes can be costly,
stressful and time consuming. Here s some top wedding planning mistakes and how
to avoid making them.
Assuming your parents will pick up the cost of the wedding
Today s wedding couples are older and have been on their own for a long while.
Mom and Dad are getting ready to retire. Don t expect them to foot the bill on a
$30,000 wedding. Before you start planning your wedding, sit down with your
parents and ask if they are planning to contribute towards the wedding costs and if
so, how much. Don t expect that your parents will pick up the costs of the reception
and his parents the alcohol, DJ and flowers. They may not be in any financial
position to help you out.
Overspending your budget
You have a budget for a reason. It s the sum of money you have available to spend.
With the current state of the economy, it doesn t make sense to overspend and start
your marriage in debt.
Being disorganized
Disorganization will make you crazy and stressed out. Its so easy to buy a wedding
planner book or wedding software and keep records of your wedding expenses, guest
list and the thousands of details you need at your fingertips.
Letting your guest list get out of control
Most wedding venues have space limits and you ll have budget constraints that will
force you to keep your guest list to a target number. There will be a certain
50. Why Do We Have Hair
Why do we have hair? Long ago in Ancient Greece there was a little town called
Oldiron. This little town was ruled by King Alexandros the great. He was known
for his heroic feats of courage and bravery. He had fought ferocious centaurs,
women disguised as snakes, blood thirsty vampires, fire breathing dragons and
many creatures considered impossible to defeat. There was one mythical creature
that was really quite a headache to get rid of. This monster was Morpheus. It was
the perfect weather for the town of Oldiron to relax. They were all hard working
people especially the king. They all worked hard to keep the town peaceful and
prosperous. Because the town was extremely wealthy, many ferocious and greedy
beasts thought only of plundering this towns wealth. One unusual thing about the
town was it was the first ever town in the universe where people were know to have
had hair. The story behind this was quite terrifying even just listening to it. Well
here is the story of how the world got hair. It was a cold and freezing morning,
something that was very unusual in the town of Oldiron. Usually when it was cold
or raining it was a signal from the Gods that people were coming to invade the
town. Alexandros! Alexandros! Called Queen Dia. Yes my dear what is it? Replied

Alexandros knew this was his chance so he took out his sharpest sword and pierced
the monster right in the head as hard as he could. But to his surprise the monster didn

Effects...
Introduction
In every work environment, there are various continuous quality initiatives in
place to improve organization s product or service quality. For instance, in the
United States, many patients have been losing lives due to serious and avoidable
medical errors or safety events (Muething et al., 2012). For this reason, it is crucial
to understand how these avertable medical errors or safety events can be prevented
or eliminated. There are factors involved in the process of analyzing particular errors
in an organization. This paper focuses on two processes of error analysis (Root
Cause Analysis (RCA) and Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA)) to address
unnecessary medical errors (Serious Safety Events (SSE)). SSE in a healthcare ...

These encounters make it cumbersome to classify alleviate primary causes of harm.
Therefore, it affects the ability of the society to identify and prove the efficacy of
patient safety risk management solutions that decrease medical errors and
preventable serious safety events.
Measures push for improvement, inform patients and effect payment. Both public and
private payers apply measures to make a decision on the health providers they should
contract and to enhance improvements in healthcare. Hence, describing, categorizing
and emphasizing on harm prevention is critical for any practical risk management
program.
To prevent or eliminate numerous deaths related medical errors. American Society for
Healthcare Risk Management has come up with Getting to Zero. Getting to Zero is a
Serious Safety Events initiative, which emphasizes on event investigation stages. The
core part of the investigation process is to establish harm score. This always prompts
an organizational response and risk management. Therefore, without proper and
accurate harm score examination, the chances for applying operational response may
be wanting.
American Society for Healthcare Risk Management developed Harm Classification
Tool to help risk managers and health care leaders to group an event when deviation
happens. Additionally, the tool aids them to ascertain what actions are suitable for a
particular event. The tool supports the American Society
52. Casey At Bat Analysis
In the poem Casey at Bat and story David and Goliath, a comparison of David and
Casey shows differences and similarities. Here is how they are both alike. Casey
and David are both alike because they both had a battle and they felt like they were
going to win that battle. I know this because in the articles it said that the people
knew that Casey was going to hit the ball and if the people believe that means that
Casey would believe. It also said in one of the articles that David felt like he was
going to win because he had Godon his side. So if David believed that he was going
to win because of God and Casey believed he was going to win because of the
people cheering for him that means that they both have a reason to feel like they are...

In Casey up to Bat his battle was to hit the ball and he struck out. In David and
Goliath David s battle was to kill Goliath and he did. If one struck out and the other
killed a giant that means that one lost their battle and the other didn t. Another
way I think they are different is because Casey boasted and David did not. In
Casey up to bat it said that Casey said that pitch isn t my style. In David and
Goliath it said that David said that he was going to win because God was on his
side. This proves that Casey boasted and David did not because if you watch
something go by you think that it s not good enough then that is boasting because
not everything is going to be perfect. David did not boast because he had a reason to
think that he was going to win and he didn t act like he was all that. The last reason
why I think they are different is because David was judged in a bad way and Casey
was judged in a good way. In David and Goliath it said that David s brothers called
him a brat. Casey was judged in a good way because in Casey up to bat it said that
everyone thought that he was going to hit. If you get called a brat that is offensive
so that would be a bad judgement. If everyone believes that you are going to hit the
baseball that would be a good judgement because people trust you.In the poem

disturbance of the circadian rhythms (sleep disruption and depravation) and its
negative impact on neurocognitive function and performance. Nightshift fatigue
related error was found to be 28% above baseline, 12 hour shifts also increased the
chance of error by 28% compared to an 8 hour shift, and the risk of error was ... Show

Nurse s sleep was evaluated using wrist worn actigraph with the support of a sleep
log; Karolinska Sleepiness Scale (KSS) and Occupational Fatigue Exhaustion
Recovery scale (OFER) were used to evaluate fatigue levels baseline and intershift.
Performance level was assessed using the Walter Reed Psychomotor Vigilance Test
(PVT). Consecutive shifts where found to increase the levels of ongoing fatigue
and sleepiness (sleep debt); with increasing performance issues (lapsing) on the
PVT test on the second and third consecutive shifts worked. This research study
includes a respectable data size (80 nurses) with respected and strong data collection
tests (actigraph, KSS, OFER, and PVT). Limitations of the study include a short
duration of data collection cycle, no measure of the effect of shift rotation preceding
the shifts worked, and possible data variance due to nurses who could have worked
multiple jobs.

54. Educational Changes in the 1920 s
Educational Changes of the 1920s The educational system of the 1920s varied
greatly from the educational system of modern day America. Segregation and a
lack of funding were huge issues during this decade. There were major concerns
over the effectiveness of intelligence testing. The 1920s were also a key point in
time for secondary education. The educational system may have faced many
challenges during this decade, but it also made great strides towards shaping today s
schools. Twentieth century New York City public schools were characterized by
their ability to educate the whole child and they had to act as parents, psychologists,
doctors, and social workers in order to adjust to the changes of the city. In more rural
areas such as Virginia, attendance was irregular, and the state had one of the lowest
rates of attendance nationwide prior to World War II (Sultana). An increased number
of immigrants in the latter half of the nineteenth century created a class known as the
immigrant child. Immigrant children referred to those of a lower class and did not
exhibit proper hygiene. These children were certainly in no way American (Sultana).
With these immigrant children brought beneficial changes to the educational system.
The purpose of such changes was to not only combat poor living conditions, but also
turn them into American citizens (Sultana). In order to create a more organized
structure, bureaus of educational research were developed. The purpose of such
