The classroom is the basic unit of organization of school and educational activity. But
in this basic unit there are some reasons can’t prevent students from acquiring knowledge
in classroom. One of These reasons is misbehaving, so teachers need to be well-qualified to
deal with such problems. ( K) is a specialist in managing students behaviour . she decided to
work in one of her case study . Cler is an qualified French teacher . She is teaching French
as a foreign language . She had some problems in managing the classroom and to involve
her low achiever in the lesson. . ( K) Kellington decided to attend Cler’s classes and offered
her help to fix her management problems by giving her effectives strategies in teaching and
to fix her ineffective ones.
Motivation is the key to a student's school success and is the driving force behind
successful learning. Missed of motivation was one of Cler’s mistakes . She was working
hard with students but she did not use motivation as an important way to engage them in
learning process. For example she had a reword system which was giving points to the
students, but it was useless until Kellington asked her to apply it again and use it to motivate
the students to participate.
Peer learning is a teaching and learning strategy that involves groups of students working
together to solve a problem, complete a task, or create a product. Peer learning was ( K)’s advice to
improve students’ work in Cler’s classroom. It was a great ideas to reduce the noisy in her
Moza AE
class and make them involve while they share their ideas. For instance, Kellington gave that
advice after realizing that most of Cler’s students were using calling out talking to each
other’s and few of them were not participating at all.
Building a relationship with students is the key of success. Teacher-child relationships
influence how a child develops. The relationship can relate to a wide range of school
adjustment outcomes, including liking school, work habits, social skills, behaviour, and
academic performance. Cler needed to build a relationship with her students from the first
day of the academic year. Missing that point putted her in situations that she couldn’t
understand why most of her students were not interested in her subject. Although, she was
trying to stay calm but she missed up it many times with the students. For instances, she
shouted many times saying ‘’ stop shouting ‘’. At that moment she needed to be patient and
ignore that student and get that chance to talk to him/ her secretly.
To sum up, being a teacher is not an easy task Is it?. Also, We all went through Cler’s
situation. She tried many strategies to make the students especially the low achievers
involved. Some of the strategies were ineffective like lack of motivation other way was
Moza AE
effective and worked with her such as peer learning . In my opinion, she should try
building a relationship with students to manage her class and make sure they get the points.
