This document outlines an approach to elder-directed care focused on well-being. It discusses defining elderhood beyond ageism, and identifying the domains of well-being: identity, growth, autonomy, security, connectedness, meaning and joy. Care facilities are encouraged to incorporate these domains into care planning by understanding residents' needs and goals. Methods like Eden's Well-Being surveys can measure baseline well-being. The document also discusses leadership challenges and virtuous cycles that empower well-being, engagement and results. Living more slowly and creating social capital are presented as keys to a deeper, more connected life for elders.

A No-Fluff Practical Guide to Boosting Mental Wellness in Your WorkforceRobin Schooling
The exhaustion and burn-out are real. What started as a couple of weeks to flatten the curve in 2020 has morphed into a never-ending marathon as the pandemic rages on. Now, more than ever, the mental health of workers should be at the forefront of companies focused on delivering the best products and the best services to their customers, because it’s hard to have a healthy business if you don’t first have a healthy workforce.
In this webinar we discussed the steps teams can take to foster better work environments including:
• Creating safe places for honest dialogue at work
• Building trust in times of uncertainty
• Encouraging self-care from a top-down approach, from the C-suite to the front line
Presented at Agile Indy. September 10, 2014
Organizations around the world are introducing Agile values and principles to improve the culture of their workforce and their responsiveness in an ever-demanding marketplace. Many, even after spending for outside experts and coaches, are not achieving the results promised. Based on the book “Becoming a Catalyst: Scrum Master Edition,” this presentation will introduce the importance of finding people in the organization to accelerate sustainable and meaningful change from the inside-out.
During this session, we will cover:
• Why we need to encourage, coach, promote, and reward “catalysts” – people brave enough to resist the status quo and accelerate the change to greater agility and responsiveness.
• What characteristics should we promote, develop and coach with our catalysts. We’ll focus on the Scrum Master but cover other roles as well.
• How to use everyday interactions and ceremonies to accelerate culture change.
• How to use a “values and principles” approach to coaching leaders in an Agile environment so they can become catalysts in our new culture.
• How do we keep our catalysts healthy while tackling daunting systemic dysfunction and releasing organizational “scar tissue”.
Are you the leader of volunteer engagement that your organization needs you to be? Join your peers to meet, explore the qualities and skills of a good leader, and share experiences around leading the strategy and implementation of engaging volunteers to become that leader.

Honest upward communication cannot be treated as an option. It needs to be a requirement. While many managers have years of education and experience in training for their positions, they often have little training in how to effectively influence upper management.

Organizations and Individuals That Have Invented New Tools for New TimesPaul Schumann
This is Part 8 of an eight part series of presentations entitled Leadership in the Interactive Age, originally presented over the National Technological University's satellite network in January and February, 1995 by Paul Schumann, Donna Prestwood and Barbara Benjamin. Some of the topical references are out of date but the concepts are still valid. They're probably more apparently valid now then they were at the time of the original production.
This power point is the result of the past 3 years of examining the personal risks involved in leadership and how to prepare yourself so that you not only survive but also have strateiges and a tool kit to evolve and thrive as a person engaged with leading change.

Antibiotic Stewardship by Anushri Srivastava.pptxAnushriSrivastav
Stewardship is the act of taking good care of something.
Antimicrobial stewardship is a coordinated program that promotes the appropriate use of antimicrobials (including antibiotics), improves patient outcomes, reduces microbial resistance, and decreases the spread of infections caused by multidrug-resistant organisms.
WHO launched the Global Antimicrobial Resistance and Use Surveillance System (GLASS) in 2015 to fill knowledge gaps and inform strategies at all levels.
ACCORDING TO apic.org,
Antimicrobial stewardship is a coordinated program that promotes the appropriate use of antimicrobials (including antibiotics), improves patient outcomes, reduces microbial resistance, and decreases the spread of infections caused by multidrug-resistant organisms.
ACCORDING TO pewtrusts.org,
Antibiotic stewardship refers to efforts in doctors’ offices, hospitals, long term care facilities, and other health care settings to ensure that antibiotics are used only when necessary and appropriate
According to WHO,
Antimicrobial stewardship is a systematic approach to educate and support health care professionals to follow evidence-based guidelines for prescribing and administering antimicrobials
In 1996, John McGowan and Dale Gerding first applied the term antimicrobial stewardship, where they suggested a causal association between antimicrobial agent use and resistance. They also focused on the urgency of large-scale controlled trials of antimicrobial-use regulation employing sophisticated epidemiologic methods, molecular typing, and precise resistance mechanism analysis.
Antimicrobial Stewardship(AMS) refers to the optimal selection, dosing, and duration of antimicrobial treatment resulting in the best clinical outcome with minimal side effects to the patients and minimal impact on subsequent resistance.
According to the 2019 report, in the US, more than 2.8 million antibiotic-resistant infections occur each year, and more than 35000 people die. In addition to this, it also mentioned that 223,900 cases of Clostridoides difficile occurred in 2017, of which 12800 people died. The report did not include viruses or parasites
