A mission statement is a statement of the purpose
of a company or organization, its reason for
existing.
The mission statement should guide the actions of
the organization, spell out its overall goal, provide
a path, and guide decision-making. It provides
"the framework or context within which the
company's strategies are formulated."
24. HERC Mission:
The mission of the National HERC is to facilitate
national strategic initiatives that help the regional
HERC’s accomplish their goals and to promote HERC
wide visibility.
The mission of the regional HERC’s is to advance
the efforts of member institutions to recruit and retain
outstanding and diverse faculty and staff to assist
dual-career couples.
