INTRODUCTION
 Dubai Tower is the tallest skyscraper in the World with
height of 828m, it’s consisted of 164 stories in total.
 The tower includes resitendal units, offices, hotel and
resitendal apartments.
 The project was planned by Dubai’s government and
developed by Emaar Properties of Dubai with the purpose
of becoming a hub for finance, trade and tourism.

VISION
 More than just the world's tallest building, Burj Khalifa is an
unprecedented example of international cooperation,
symbolic beacon of progress, and an emblem of the new,
dynamic and prosperous Middle East.
 It is also tangible proof of Dubai's growing role in a
changing world.
 In fewer than 30 years, this city has transformed itself from
a regional centre to a global one.
STAKEHOLDERS
Samsung Engineering & Construction built the tower in
a joint venture with Besix from Belgium and Arabtec
from UAE.
Sharing a joint venture contract worth of 876 million $.
There was also additional eleven contractors with other
responsibilities, and three sub-contractors.

 Burj Khalife was planned to build at a cost of $1.5 billion.
 The Human Resources assigned to the project: 380 skilled
engineers and on-site technicians, 7,500 skilled workers
employed at the construction site.

 Burj Khalife’s construction was 6 years long and it started on
September 2004 and was accomplished in October 2009.

Monitoring and Improving
The Project
 Structural Health Monitoring Program and Network (SHM): To measure
the sustainability of The tower during construction process and also after
tower occupation .
Hyder Consulting
 Hyder was the architectural supervisor.
They made the infrastructure and
master planning of Burj Dubai
downtown.
 They created structural and mechanical
engineering plans of Burj Dubai
fountain and lake.
Turner Construction & Grocon Construction
 Were the project and construction managers of the project .
 Provided consulting expertise and controlling the cash flows
and schedules to ensure the effectiveness of the work that
was on going.
 Grocon played the role of the founding advisor of Burj
Khalifa.
