There are 4 phases of wound healing: hemostasis, inflammation, proliferation, and remodeling. This document also describes the mechanism of wound healing. Factors that affect healing include infection, uncontrolled diabetes, poor nutrition, age, anemia, the presence of foreign bodies, etc.

- 7. AUTONIMIC NERVOUS SYSTEM A type of nervous system in human body. Human body have two types of functions voluntary & non voluntary. Voluntary word came from the word volunteers i.e. with own wish. i. e. the work we do with our wish. Ex. We walk, Pick up a pen etc Some functions of body are going on without our wish or without our decision. Ex. •Respiration •Heart Beating & Circulation of Blood •Peristalsis etc. Voluntary function is controlled by CNS. Involuntary function are controlled by ANS. These involuntary functions are even not controlled by ANS proper word is regulation.
- 8. i.e. These functions are not stopped or started by ANS but increased or decreased by ANS. Ex. When we run Heart rate increase and we stop heart rate decreases. This is called regulation. After exercise Respiratory rate increase and in sleep respiratory rate decreases. This is regulation of respiration by ANS. Respiration cannot be stopped & initiated by ANS. i.e. if we cut fibres of ANS to lungs & respiratory apparatus respiration won’t stop but its increase or decrease will be uncontrolled. All involuntary functions are regulated by ANS. EX. •Iris dilatation or constriction •Salivary secretion •Heart beat numbers •Blood Presculve •Respiratory rate •GIT Peristalsis etc. These functions are either increased or decreased with specific intention. Intention we will see later but two types of actions are shown i.e. Increased or decreased.
