Blackberry
Student 1- It was one of people's favorite phone before technology changed. I feel like the brand did not stay up to date with the evolving trends and changes which led them to be a weak competition. Blackberry was a must have phones in 2000s but no too much when Apple and Samsung came to the market with better features.
Student 2- When I think of BlackBerry I think about a company that used to be one of the leading phone companies in the industry. At one point BlackBerry was one of the most used phone in world, but with technology getting better and better, and then the introduction of smart phones from Apple and Samsung pushed BlackBerry’s market share to the back seat. Unfortunately I see BlackBerry as a outdated brand that only caters to not the majority anymore. As a tech enthusiast, I’ve had seen over the past few years the rapid decline of BlackBerry. If you were to go out and take a survey, the mass majority will either have a Phone running Apple’s IOS, or Google’s Android system.
Student 3- For me the image use to be one that was quite favorable. Early 2000’s this was the “it” brand and was the phone we all wanted. Present day though it is a much different brand in my eyes. Blackberry never figured out how to compete with the iPhone and other new smart phones, and really just became a phone that I saw businesses give employees. Blackberry is all but dead in my eyes, with business use being the only thing keeping it around.
Student 4- Dead technology, they did not change and evolve as smart phones became smarter. They were more geared to mature business professionals. I did not even consider the brand with my resent smart phone purchase.
Student 5- When I think of a Blackberry smart phone, I think outdated. Blackberry was one of the initial smart phones to gain mass popularity and became an everyday consumer smart phone and not just for business users. In the recent years, Blackberry smart phones have faded away with the introduction of Apple’siPhone and the various Android devices. With the integration of easier user interfaces and greater advances in technology from Apple and Google, they took over the smart phone market share and have made Blackberry smart phones obsolete.
Chevy Volt
Student 1- When I think electric, I can't imagine a chevy brand. I see Chevy as big trucks and sports car. The car is very affordable but I don't think Chevy fits the electric car kind. I'm not too familiar of what the car is fully about.
Student 2- I am not too familiar with this product, from the name volt I am assuming it is a variant or type of electric car. After looking it up on the Internet, I can see that it is a very well built design for an electric car. For now when I think of electric cars I either think of Tesla’s or Prius. I think once marketers promote the product more. More consumers will see the brand more often.
Student 3- This product is by far the one I have the least knowledge, and idea of an image for. As for Chev ...

Student 3- This product is by far the one I have the least
knowledge, and idea of an image for. As for Chevy itself we
know they have the “Like a Rock” image they have built for
years with their trucks, but for their endeavor into the electric
car world I can’t really say I think about Chevy much when I
think electric car. I hope to become more familiar with the
product as they move forward, but at this point I don’t think
Chevy Volt when I think Chevy.
Student 4- Before this assignment I had never heard of the
Chevy Volt so to me the brand image is nonexistent. When I
think of Chevy I think of American trucks.
Student 5- When I think of Chevy Volt I think of innovative
and eco-friendly. What I know from Chevy volt is from Internet

towards the use of electric vehicles and the lack of charging
stations in the area does not allow for an established Chevy Volt
brand.
The United way
Student 1-
a good organization for helping others. Doing good thing for oth
ers and creating a better world. Improvement for families and ot
her people who need help by bringing communities together
Student 2-
I have donated to them on several occasions. When I think of
this brand, I think of a well-organized company that provides
help to so many different charitable organizations. When I see
this brand, I see it as a brand that focuses on the community,
family and well being.
Student 3-
I have a lot of appreciation and respect for this charity. I have
donated to The United Way for years, and also in a previous job
did a lot of volunteering with them. When I see this brand, I get
a feeling of doing well for others, and an organization that is
focused on helping people. I know when I hear charity, I think
the United Way, and would think for a lot of people that would
be the same.
Student 4-
I have worked with them before and I consider them highly
organized and well accessible. They not only work on families
current needs but also fund programs to help families become
self reliant and self sufficient.
4. Student 5-
I am not very familiar with United Way. All I associate with the
United Way brand is it being a nonprofit charitable organization
and fundraising.
Toyota Prius hybrid
Student 1-
Good for the environment and an affordable car. I think a better,
cleaner world. It is a good size car but I'm not too crazy about t
he car.
Student 2-
Toyota Prius: As for Toyota Prius the electric car pops up in
my mind. The Toyota Prius is very economical and
environmentally friendly. The image of Toyota has always been
a safe, cost effective, and environmentally friendly brand.
Student 3-
Toyota Prius hybrid- Not really familiar with the brand or
product, but I would say my first reaction is to the word hybrid.
We know Toyota has been at the forefront of the hybrid
movement, and so when I hear that brand and model I definitely
triggers a though about environmental issues. Hybrid cars have
forced us to think about the way we live, and things we can do
moving forward to be a part of a better world.
Toyota PriusHybrid certainly stands at the forefront of that
movement.
Student 4-
It was the best selling hybrid car in 2014. I consider it more
affordable and compact then its compediators. When I think
Toyota I think safety, reliable, affordable.
Student 5-
The Toyota Prius Hybrid makes me recall the Toyota brand as a
5. whole. I associate the Toyota brand with being reliable (long-
lasting), fuel efficient, and economical. The
Toyota Prius Hybrid model specifically I think of an
environmentally friendly brand.
Pepsi Max
Student 1-
An updated brand from the original Pepsi. When I see Pepsi Ma
x, I automatically think soccer, the world cup, excitement and a
very tasty drink. I did not grow up in the US and where I come f
rom Pepsi is the number one drink.
Student 2-
As a avid Coke drinker I see Pepsi max as an alternative to the
other popular diet sodas such as diet dr. Pepper and Diet coke.
So my opinions are very biased since I do enjoy over any other
product.
Student 3-
Being from DFW and being a huge cowboys fan I think the
instant I hear Pepsi max or really any Pepsi product I think the
Dallas Cowboys. Especially some of the silly commercials that
Jerry Jones has done with Pepsi, and also a lot of the
commercials done by players as well. Side note Pepsi was one
of the big reasons Jerry Jones wanted to and did
sign Deion Sanders as he had huge plans for marketing the
Cowboys through Deion and his relationship with Pepsi among
some other big brands.
Student 4-
Better then diet pepsi but I am Coke loyal. So to me they live in
Coke’s shawdow.
Student 5-
When thinking about a diet cola flavored soft drink I mainly
6. think of Diet Coke and Diet Pepsi. I had very briefly heard of
Pepsi Max before but it is not in my initial memory and would
not recall it as an option without being reminded of it.
Student government
Student 1-
I'm personally not too involved with with UTA's government. I
see them active around elections but don't really know much of t
hey are trying to accomplish.
Student 2-
Personally when I think of my student government the only
image that comes to mind is the few weeks on campus that lead
up to elections. Around that time there is a lot of campaigning
in front of the University center, to emails, and Facebook event
invites. Usually after this you really don’t here anything about
it again. I feel like there is a lot of hype about what will they
do to help the school once elected, but after that there is not
really any actions and communication with the student body.
The only thing I heard about the student government was the
reduction of cost of the connection café during non peak
periods a few weeks ago . That was the first time I’ve heard of
anything all year long.
Student 3-
I can honestly say I don’t have a strong image of the student
government at UTA. Not because they fail to do a good job or
anything, but I just cant say I have ever interacted or followed
much of their doings. The only really image I have in my head
is not very positive as in my opinion the student body as a
whole could do a better job of fighting for student rights. For
the most part though it seems this is something most students
just don’t spend much time becoming familiar with.
Student 4-
7. I consider their brand nonexistant. I have only ever seen them
once during this past election. Even then they did not speak
about their goals or future plans. I do not think they make
themselves heard or accessable to the average student. Their
past accomplishment are unknown to and for that reason I did
not even vote.
Student 5-
UTA’s student government makes me think of students who are
actively participating in the university’s extracurricular
activities and programs. Unfortunately I do not know much
information on our student government. I think this lack of
awareness for UTA’s student government brand stems from the
majority of students commuting and not living on campus.
