It is important to note that bullying affects the targets, bullies, and witnesses of the act. Countless volumes of research have come up with “anti-bullying” programs, and despite increased media scrutiny of the vice
and campaigns against the act, the vice remains a thorn in the sole that has to be removed and eradicated from the social platform. Bullying is a social issue that is complex and requires a lot of determination, courage, and leadership to address. With an increase in technology that has provided rapid and impulsive communication, it has only opened up channels and an increase in bullying degrees than never experienced before.
This has called for immediate response than never ever before in addressing the social menace
. It is in line with this that this paper acknowledges the fact that, to promote the prevention of bullying school
administrators, educators, and socially dominant figures need to work together. The paper will look at ways of preventing bullying at both the school and community level.
Before this paper ventures further in describing some of the possible solutions that can be implemented to prevent bullying, it is important to state what bullying is and what it is not. There are several errors I made in the process of writing my first draft. There are various grammatical errors that my first draft contains. For example, in the first paragraph of my draft, I wrote “in contrary” instead of “in contrast”. This led to that statement conveying a different meaning, which I had not intended to convey. In some sections of the draft, I also failed to use punctuations efficiently. For example, there are areas where I failed to put commas, which led to the statements becoming a bit difficult to be understood.
There are several phrases which I used in the draft that were a bit confusing to the reader. For example, the phrase, “increase in bullying experience than never experienced before”, was confusing to the reader. What this phrase simply meant was that technological developments had led to rapid flow of information, which had in turn led to an increase in bullying in our schools.

How to Respond to Criminal Behavior among the Youth

Criminal behavior has been a major area of focus to most psychologists. This is especially due to the age old debate between nature and being well nurtured. Transition from childhood to adulthood is a complexperiod especially for the youth. In most cases, it becomes difficult for the youth to engage in various systems and they tend to be more conscious of their aging. Whereas most of the youth gradually transform from childhood to adult hood, this is the major stage in life which should be taken more seriously and in most cases, be prioritized in the society (Florez, 2008). Families should give the youth a chance to express their views on different aspects. Through survey data, it was identified that more than 732 youth are transitioning from out of home care to adulthood across for major states.
Based on research aspects, offences committed are attributed to the youth in various countries. Foster youth, just like their peers, tend to engage in less crime over a period of time. Bullying is mean spirited and unwanted intimidation by another student. Bullying can come in many different forms but the result is an imbalance of power where one student suffers physical and verbal attacks as well as social exclusion. The bully repeatedly focuses in on their victims and subjects them to continued harassment and false rumors. Bullying causes the victims extreme emotional damage and lifelong pain but occurs most commonly in the school setting. In order to ensure that bullying is prevented the educational system will need to become more proactive and create programs and services designed to educate, reduce, deter and punish bullying.
Types and Extent of Bullying
The three types of bullying experienced by the youthful victim in the school setting consist of verbal and physical assaults as well as social exclusions. The types of verbal threats the victims of bullying suffer are name calling, false gossip, lewd sexual comments, taunts, and threats to cause harm. Physical assaults include hitting, kicking, pushing, tripping, pinching, and spitting on the victim. Social exclusions includes the bully taking steps to isolate the victim from peers by leaving them out of social events or gatherings and talking rudely about them to other peers. Other students will fear the bully and go along with their mean spirited actions. The victim will be isolated and the bully will take steps to embarrass the student in front of other peers. The bully will spread malicious rumors and make rude comments to the victim.
Adolescents are extremely sensitive to rejection and the opinions of peers, both of which can serve as catalysts for revenge (Booth, 2011). The result is the bullying becomes escalated and the victim takes revenge on the bully or physical altercations occur. Bullying is a major problem in society. While bullying occurs most in the school setting there are other places where bullying occurs. Bullies target victims using social networks and will bully them at social events. Victims of bullies are harassed and attacked on school buses and on school playgrounds as well as in the victim’s neighborhood. While bullying can happen anywhere it is most prevalent in schools making it the responsibility of educational systems to take steps to see it stopped.

Introduction
This research paper will involve the reviewing of the issue of child abuse. Child abuse is an issues that has been happening in the society since the ancient times. However, in the modern world, the categorization and the definition of child abuse has changed. Definition of child abuse will involve the inclusion of the different forms of the abuse, common modes of child abuse and the interventions that can be used for addressing of the issues of child abuse. There are different reasons as to why the research study about child abuse is important in the current world, due to the fact that the gathering of data and information about child abuse will help in the devising of strategies and ways of addressing this crisis. According to reports by different organizations such as World Health Organization(WHO), most of the cases of child abuse can be avoided or even treated. Forms of child abuse such as physical, sexual, neglect and even emotional or psychological abuse can be prevented through understanding them.
Rationale for the selection of the topic of child abuse as a research paper is to pass information to the people about the adverse effects associated with child abuse, interventions which can be used for addressing the issue of child abuse and the possible reasons for the increase in the cases of child abuse in the modern world. Consequently, researching on this topic of child abuse helps in the minimization of cots that would have been incurred fostering care, counselling in the family as well medical care. Rationally, most people still have the mentality and perception that child abuse is characterized by the old definitions of working in farms and factories as well as plantations. However, in the current world, child abuse has been revolutionized as well. Issues of sexual abuse and exploitation, such as trafficking, rape and commercial sex are emerging issues in child abuse. Adverse effects of child abuse are normally evident due to the fact that some aspects of child abuse such as emotional hardly heal (Jud, Andreas, Jörg M. Fegert, and David Finkelhor, 17). Due to the fact that issues of child abuse have been ignored in the society, analysis and research on this issue will help in the addressing and handling of this issue.
Background
Different definitions and forms of child abuse have been suggested by both scholars and researchers. Basically, child abuse or even child maltreatment involves the previously identified forms, that is sexual, emotional, neglect and physical. Most of the countries have been sensitizing on the issue of child abuse, with these four notable forms of child abuse having penalties and custody depending on the seriousness of the case. Different perceptions and ideas have been presented with regard to corporal punishmen.
Almost 30% of youth in the United States (or over 5.7 million) are estimated to be involved in bullying as either a bully, a target of bullying, or both.
In a recent national survey of students in grades 6-10:
13% reported bullying others
11% reported being the target of bullies
6% said that they bullied others and were bullied themselves.

How to Respond to Criminal Behavior among the Youth

Introduction
Criminal behavior has been a major area of focus to most psychologists. This is especially due to the age old debate between nature and being well nurtured. It is the main responsibility of most parents to know the genetic makeup of their children, for the sake of responsible parenting and also, in order to determine the outcome of their behaviors and norms they chose to embrace. Research has been conducted regarding this debate for quite a while, and has proven that both genes and the general environment have a big role to play when it comes to the criminality of an individual(Levine, 2003). The behaviors adopted by children and the youth should be put into consideration, considering that this is what has an impact on the safety of the society and the nation at large. Poor upbringing for the youth hasa great role to play especially in determining the kind of negative behaviors they chose to embrace later in their lives. This paper shows the findings in research on aspects of criminal justice and at the same time, a presentation of the varying opinions on how to respond to criminal behavior among the youth.
Crime during the transition to adulthood
Transition from childhood to adulthood is a complexperiod especially for the youth. In most cases, it becomes difficult for the youth to engage in various systems and they tend to be more conscious of their aging. Whereas most of the youth gradually transform from childhood to adult hood, this is the major stage in life which should be taken more seriously and in most cases, be prioritized in the society (Florez, 2008). Families should give the youth a chance to express their views on different aspects. Through survey data, it was identified that more than 732 youth are transitioning from out of home care to adulthood across for major states.
Based on research aspects, offences committed are attributed to the youth in various countries. Foster youth, just like their peers, tend to engage in less crime over a period of time. Those who lack mentorship are more exposed to criminal elements and tend to participate more in criminal behavior (Ashford, 2009). However, foster youth also remain more prone to arrest just like their peers. The transition from childhood to adulthood should be well handled to ensure that children are raised in lawful environments and at the same time, are provided with basic resources and counseling to help them in the future.

Bullying is mean spirited and unwanted intimidation by another student. Bullying can come in many different forms but the result is an imbalance of power where one student suffers physical and verbal attacks as well as social exclusion. The bully repeatedly focuses in on their victims and subjects them to continued harassment and false rumors. Bullying causes the victims extreme emotional damage and lifelong pain but occurs most commonly in the school setting. In order to ensure that bullying is prevented the educational system will need to become more proactive and create programs and services designed to educate, reduce, deter and punish bullying.
Types and Extent of Bullying
The three types of bullying experienced by the youthful victim in the school setting consist of verbal and physical assaults as well as social exclusions. The types of verbal threats the victims of bullying suffer are name calling, false gossip, lewd sexual comments, taunts, and threats to cause harm. Physical assaults include hitting, kicking, pushing, tripping, pinching, and spitting on the victim. Social exclusions includes the bully taking steps to isolate the victim from peers by leaving them out of social events or gatherings and talking rudely about them to other peers. Other students will fear the bully and go along with their mean spirited actions. The victim will be isolated and the bully will take steps to embarrass the student in front of other peers. The bully will spread malicious rumors and make rude comments to the victim.
Adolescents are extremely sensitive to rejection and the opinions of peers, both of which can serve as catalysts for revenge (Booth, 2011). The result is the bullying becomes escalated and the victim takes revenge on the bully or physical altercations occur. Bullying is a major problem in society. While bullying occurs most in the school setting there are other places where bullying occurs. Bullies target victims using social networks and will bully them at social events. Victims of bullies are harassed and attacked on school buses and on school playgrounds as well as in the victim’s neighborhood. While bullying can happen anywhere it is most prevalent in schools making it the responsibility of educational systems to take steps to see it stopped.
In 2001 in a report conducted by the Bureau of Juvenile Justice Statistics it was discovered that 20% of all students will be bullied while in high school while the number creeps up to almost 30% when dealing with school children from second to sixth grade (DeVoe, 2009). The Denise Vaughan audit team completed its audit field work on February 15,
2010. A conference was held on that date involving members of the audit
firm and Biltrite management. Participants in the conference were Denise
Vaughan, partner in charge of the Biltrite engagement; Carolyn Volmar,
audit manager; Richard Derick, in-charge auditor; Trevor Lawton, Biltrite’s
CEO; Gerald Groth, Biltrite’s controller; and Marlene McAfee, Biltrite’s trea-
surer. The Biltrite representatives agreed to all of the audit adjustments and
reclassifications proposed by the audit team, and they agreed to reflect them
in the December 31, 2009, financial statements. They also agreed to modify
and/or add footnote disclosures as recommended by the audit team.
At the conclusion of the conference, the audit team obtained a client repre-
sentation letter from Biltrite management and presented management with a
copy of the “significant deficiencies” letter outlining discovered internal control
deficiencies. The original of this letter was sent to Biltrite’s audit committee.
The legal action initiated against Biltrite by Rollfast, a competitor, for

Techtron Corporation is a developer and manufacturer of electronic window systems for small and medium-size automobiles. It has several international customers, including Vauxhall Motors (UK) and General Motors Holden Ltd. (Port Melbourne, Australia). Techtron has recently landed a contract to produce electronic window systems for the Hyundai Sonata, manufactured in Montgomery, Alabama. The project is to implement the BUMP client in java, with window size 1. Here is an overview of the three WUMP protocols (BUMP, HUMP, and CHUMP). Here are the files wumppkt.java, containing the packet format classes, and wclient.java, which contains an outline of the actual program. Only the latter file should be modified; you should not have to make changes to wumppkt.java.
What you are to do is the following, by modifying and extending the wclient.java outline file:
· Implement the basic transfer
· Add all appropriate packet sanity checks: timeouts, host/port, size, opcode, and block number
· Generate output. The transferred file is to be written to System.out. A status message about every packet (listing size and block number) is to be written to System.err. Do not confuse these!
· Terminate after a packet of size less than 512 is received
· Implement an appropriate "dallying" strategy
· send an ERROR packet if it receives a packet from the wrong port. The appropriate ERRCODE in this case is EBADPORT.

recommended that you implement this in phases, as follows.
1. Latch on to the new port: save the port number from Data[1], and make sure all ACKs get sent to this port. This will mean that the transfer completes. You should also make sure the client stops when a packet with less than 512 bytes of data is received. Unless you properly record the source port for Data[1], you have no place to which to send ACK[1]!
2. For each data packet received, write the data to System.out. All status messages should go to System.err, so the two data streams are separate if stdout is redirected. To write to System.out, use System.out.write:
System.out.write(byte[] buf, int offset, int length);
For your program, offset will be 0, buf will typically be dpacket.data(), where dpacket is of type DATA (wumppkt.DATA). The length will be dpacket.size() - wumppkt.DHEADERSIZE (or, equivalently, dg.getLength() - wumppkt.DHEADERSIZE, where dg is a DatagramPacket object).
3. Add sanity checks, for (in order) host/port, packet size, opcode, and block number.
4. Handle timeouts, by retransmitting the most recently sent packet when the elapsed time exceeds a certain amount (4 seconds?). One way to do this is to keep a DatagramPacket variable LastSent, which can either be reqDG or ackDG, and just resend LastSent. Note that the response to an InterruptedIOException, a "true" timeout, will simply be to continue the loop again.
5. Add support for an dallying and error packets. After the client has received the file, dallying means to wait 2.0 - 3.0 timeout intervals (or more) to see if the final data packet is retransmitted. If it is, it means that the final ACK was lost. The dally period gives the client an opportunity to resend the final ACK. Error packets are to be sent to any sender of an apparent data packet that comes from the wrong port.

Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.

In an effort to prevent bullying which is very prevalent in our
schools, some states such as the State of Illinois have come up
with legislative measures that require schools to grow and
implement substantial policies that would help in preventing
8. and intervening in student bullying. In a more advanced effort
to prevent bullying, the Illinois State has stated under its laws
some statutes that are aimed at preventing bullying schools.
For example The School Code: 105 ILCS 5/10-20.14. This law
requires the district to develop and sustain a parent-teacher
advisory committee that together with the school board should
develop policy guidelines on pupil discipline, to furnish a copy
of the policy to parents and inform its pupils of the contents of
the policy (Berlin & Dalen, 2011).
The Illinois Criminal Code; Harassing and Obscene
Communication Act, 710ILCS135/1 clearly prohibits comments
that are intended or lewd to offend either via electronic
communication or via telephone. It also prohibits
communicating to a minor under 13years with the aim of
harassing or threatening them as it terms such an act bullying
(Berlin & Dalen, 2011).
Putting into consideration that nearly all students could be
perpetrators, witnesses or targets of bullying, and knowing the
fact that bullying could negatively affect the school climate and
students’ welfare. This calls for immediate action. The
inclusion of multifaceted approaches in an effort to reduce
bullying in schools has been dimed to possess a higher chance
of success in reduction of bullying. Inclusion of joint programs
that could register success includes:
· School-wide component, which are focused on creating
awareness, monitoring, training, and assessment of bullying in
our institutions (Bender& Lösel, 2011)
· Intervention programs for students who most often have been
perpetrators or targets of bullying.
· Classroom learning that is aimed building skills such as
empathy and problem solving in an effort to curb bullying.
Social and emotional learning is a bullying prevention
mechanism aimed at ensuring that students do not fall victim to
bullying by equipping them with social and emotional skills.
This technique is aimed at ensuring that students are equipped
with necessary life skills that will help them to effectively
9. handle life challenges, and help them thrive not only in their
learning environments but as well as with their social
environments. This mode of learning helps students manage and
recognize their emotions for others by caring and showing
concern and the establishment of positive relationships that will
reduce bullying in the schools (Bender& Lösel, 2011).
The school culture and climate are essential factors in the anti-
bullying, which should be considered. This is because the
school climate refers to how the students and teachers feel
about their presence at school every day. School climate is
influenced by a number of factors, such as; adult/student
interaction, structure of buildings and classroom, and the
feeling of safety and trust while at school (Goryl, Neilsen-
Hewett, & Sweller, 2013). This clearly shows that in order to
prevent bullying, both the society and school have a mandate to
create a school climate that promotes trust and safety to the
students. A healthy school climate should have the following:
· An environment that is conducive and supportive to learning
· An environment that allows room for effective interaction and
communication
· A good environment that promotes self-esteem and a sense of
belonging
The school climate goes line in line with the school culture. The
school culture should be one that does not tolerate bullying but
allows the peaceful coexistence of all students. Dr. Phillips a
researcher in student bullying once said that, “If people do not
improve, programs never will. By improving the school culture,
almost any focused program of improvement will see positive
results.”
On the other side, parents and social institutions such as
churches and other places of worship should be in the forefront
to instil good morals to the children. They should constantly
discuss with the children the negativities of bullying and why it
is a barbaric act, giving valuable reasons as to why they should
avoid the act (Goryl, Neilsen-Hewett, & Sweller, 2013).
It should be well noted that bullying is not a problem in itself
10. but rather the difficulty lies with the policies that run our
institutions. Most of these policies have lax penalties for
perpetrators of bullying and therefore creating a haven for
bullying escapades. If only the policies could be amended and
stricter measures put against bullying, then it would be a sure
bet that bullying would be extinct in the near future.

Bullying is one of the problems that many college students are
facing. There are different types of bullying and students have
suffered for quite long in silence. The first step I feel feasible is
to visit a number of colleges and collect information about
bullying. With this step, I feel that I will help in dealing with
bullying by getting to the root of the matter. The big question in
this case will be why students bully others. I will do so with an
aim of helping bullied students recover from the various
possible strategies, (Anonymous, 2013). Some of the strategies
will include getting a guest speaker to explain how one could
recover from bullying instead of suffering in silence. Getting
validation and recognition, talking to someone and seeking
medical care are among other ways of recovering from
11. bullying. Secondly, I will ask one of the workers in
rehabilitation centers explain the reasons why students bully
others. These reasons range poor upbringing to violence in the
home as one was growing up.
I have been saddened by the increase in bullying cases and I
cannot just continue to sit and watch. It is the highest time that
we talked about bullying from the perspective of why bullying
occurs. It will be easier to stop bullying than to cure the harm
that comes afterwards. Some students feel that bullying is fun
and choose to do it. They need to be aware of how hurting it is
and the ugly scars it leaves to the victim, (Goody, 2013).
Others think it is a way of creating popularity, expressing their
strength and control and in others it is a defense mechanism.
Most of these students had a tough background and it will only
be fair to research on the reasons as to why students bully
others to help fight the vice.
