2. While Ella and I were watching the trailer for ‘Blue is The Warmest Colour’, checking for things we forgot to include in our film
trailer, we missed this key convention of film trailers: the Credits. We then screen shot it so that we could look through what the
credits actually consisted of to ensure we included the correct information in our own.
3. I want to include on my film poster the fact that my film ‘Loving
You’ is a Sundance Selected film, much like ‘Blue is The Warmest
Colour’ and ‘First Girl I Loved’ which will increase the films
credibility and make my audience more inclined to watch it seeing
as it has professional approval.
The credits have to include the
films age certificate.
In ‘Blue is The
Warmest
Colour’s credits,
the films title is
bold.
The films main
characters are
also credited
before the
films title.
The rest of the
people who
worked on the
film are credited,
e.g Director. I will
be using ‘Blue is
The Warmest
Colour’s credits
as a template for
my own.
4. I took the screenshot that Ella and I took from ‘Blue is The Warmest Colour’s trailer and began to edit
it on the editing app PicsArt on my phone. I cut out elements of the credits that were specific to the
film, for example its title, what the film was inspired by and the films screenplay writers.
I then began personalising the credits to my own film in order to get an accurate idea of what my
credits should look like.
5. I removed the production
company and replaced it
with my own so that I could
see where the company is
placed in the credits.
I included Ella and
I’s names next to
screenplay writers
as we both created
the storyline.
I also changed the fact that the
credits said that the film was
inspired by the films comic book, as
my film ‘Loving You’ is inspired by
true events, as stated in the film
trailer.
6. ‘Loving You’s Credits
■ After analysing what traditional film trailer
credits include, I created my own using
PicsArt. This will then act as my own template
for film poster as I can either copy the text
onto the trailer or removes the images black
background and drop the text over the top.
■ However, one thing I did forget to include in my
credits is the age certificate, however, I will
have to add that retrospectively when I'm
putting the credits onto my poster etc.
