The third shot shows both Alice
and Maggie in the shower together,
this is the first time the viewers see
Maggie.

Shows Alice finishing off her
sentence as she looks up towards
Maggie, who is now her girlfriend.
This is all seen from Maggie’s point
of view, with an over the shoulder
shot.

12. SHOT 11
Brad, Maggie’s ex-boyfriend, finds
out about Maggie’s secret
relationship with Alice. He becomes
the ring leader of social media
bullying towards Alice. Over the
shoulder shot of a computer with
nasty online posts about Alice, then
a reaction shot to the posts.

From now on,
shots become
a lot shorter
and faster to
mirror Alice’s
psychological
state
Maggie and Alice are arguing about
the social media posts. Minimal
dialogue used, music becomes
louder. Shot reverse shot or
breaking of the 180° rule, to
highlight the ciaos of the situation
and symbolises change.
