6. RHYTHM METHOD
• It requires nothing but familiarization with
the reproductive cycle of the women
• The couple should avoid intercourse
during stages when fertilization is likely to
occur (during ovulation)
• This method is somewhat unreliable due
to the difficulty in determining when he
right time is

7. INDICATORS OF OVULATION
1.Mucus secretions in the cervix
should be clear and watery
2.Slight rise of body
temperature

10. • Contains female sex hormones which are
taken in by women
• It act as a preventive agent in he formation
of new ova in the ovaries
• It contains 21 pills containing the
hormones and 7 pills containing nothing
• When the woman take in the 22 pill the
hormonal level will drop rapidly

12. • It is injected into the buttocks or in the
upper arm once every 3 months or a year
depending on the type of injectables used
• Some injectables prevent the egg from
ripening
• Some act as a synthetic hormone that
causes changes in the lining of the uterus
to make it less suitable for pregnancy

• They are packed in 3 different
forms: tablet, jelly and cream

inside the woman’s body
• It also aids in the prevention of the
transmission of harmful microorganisms
that cause diseases like gonorrhea and

uterus
• A thin dome shape rubber cap with sizes
dependent on the doctor’s suggestion
• It should be fitted before the intercourse
• It can be removed 12 hours after
intercourse

sealed to prevent the ovum from travelling
toward it
• It can be permanently or temporarily

releases the semen

eventually die and will be absorbed into
