Before talking about mobile robots first let's start with the main definitions of robot and robotics.
In short sentences, the robotics is the science or the area in science focusing on the relation or the
link between perception and action.

Robots always had a special place in mankind's heart. There has always been an aura of mystery and
discovery surrounding them. What is a robot? Wikipedia defines it as "an automatically guided
machine which is able to do tasks on its own." That is a good definition of a robot, but there are few
exceptions too. The term "robot" was first created by Josef Capek. It was used by his brother Karel

also shown robots in a different way. People thought of the idea that robots will become smarter
than humans. This, they think, will cause the robots to destroy the human race. Another hypothetical

technology in libraries. It provides a literature–based background on the general state of robotics
and adds insights related to the library setting. Additionally, it looks into the factors that libraries
need to consider when planning to acquire robots, including finances, staff and technical knowledge,
space and charging facilities. Finally, it provides a quick look at how this technology will affect both
the libraries and communities. I. Introduction The concept of "robots" has been with humans for a
long time. From the "robot–knight" plan of Leonardo da Vinci to the automatons of Jacques de
Vaucanson, to the robots created by several robotics companies, people have demonstrated a
fascination. The word robot came from the Czech word, "robota" which means "forced labor". In
1921, writer Karel Capek used it in his play entitled Rossum's Universal Robots (R.U.R.). The credit
for coming up with such term, however, goes to Josef Capek, his brother. Presently, robot means a
machine that performs complex actions, similar to humans or other animals; also a machine that can

The Next Hundred Years by George Friedman offers insight into his predictions and thoughts of
future events based upon cycles in history and deep research into country analytics. The book is
organized in a matter where it is chronological and provides information to support all of his
arguments and predictions. The first two chapters are critical to the understanding of the whole book

work field has changed in many ways. With emerging technologies it is hard not to see the
incorporation of electronics into everyday business functions. We all use calculators, computers, cell
phones, email, text, and tablets to assist us with everyday business task. With technology evolving at
an exponential rate the question is "how far do we go?" We have all heard the saying "work smarter
not harder." Many companies have taken this to the extreme by making systems that can work
without input from a person. They have come to call these systems artificial intelligence. With these
new systems we are now able to complete task without a person on the job. So now we need to ask

commonly defined as the "science and engineering of making intelligent machines, especially

by John McCarthy. It was in 1956 that McCarthy actually organized a conference to discuss the idea

It was the first robot to use vision to locate and assemble models. After almost 25 years, another
invention by the AI scientists astonished the whole world. In 1995, the first robot to run using an AI
chess program was invented by IBM, naming it the Deep Blue. Deep blue was considered a success

neurotransmitter. However, trouble strikes as someone steals them, but Hiro and Tadashi, his
deceased brother's medical assistant robot Baymax save the day along with the other multiracial four
heroes who were his Tadashi's friends at the institute as they capture the villain. Big Hero 6, in
particular, made me witness how Disney had began to endeavored taking a technological path,
opposed to other films intended for children. I believe that Big Hero 6 stands out from all the other
movies intended for kids, as from my analysis the movie made me see that it's characters were
mostly all centered around intellectual human–beings. But Disney still used a well–known cliche as
they still put at least one unintelligent character in the movie, mostly due to comedic purposes.
However, in Big Hero 6, there were some weaknesses that could've made this movie even better.
