FIRST USE OF WORD ROBOTICS
MEANING OF ROBOTICS
THREE LAWS OF ROBOTICS
ESSENTIAL CHARACTERITICS OF ROBOTICS
TYPES OF ROBOTS
ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES
3. What is ROBOT?
A reprogrammable multifunctional
manipulator designed to move material, parts,
tools or specialized devices through various
programmed motions for the performance of a
variety of Tasks.
5. Robotics is the branch of mechanical engineering, electrical
engineering, electronics and computer science that deals with the
design, construction, operation, and application of robots, as well
as computer systems for their control, sensory feedback, and
information processing.
6. 1.The manipulator:-
It is just like as human
ARM.
2.The Endeffector:-
Endeffector is just like
as the END of human
arm consists
FINGERS,PALM
3.Locomotive
Devices:-
It is like as human
mussels means
POWER SOURCE of
manipulator and
endeffector
11. A person can guide a robot by remote
control. A person can perform difficult and
usually dangerous tasks without being at the
spot where the tasks are performed.
Virtual robots don’t exits In real life. Virtual robots
are just programs, building blocks of software
inside a computer.
12. 1. Going to far away planets
[Mars Rover Sojourner ,Upcoming Mars Exploration Rover and
underwater robot Caribou ]
2. Spying on people in ways people can't move and from views
humans can't reach
[Oscar Pistorius is a South African runner
who do not have lags ]
3. Going far down into the unknown waters
where humans would be crushed
4. Giving us information that humans can't get
5. Working at places 24/7 without any salary and food. Plus they
don't get bored
13. 1. People can lose jobs in factories
2. It needs a supply of power
3. It needs maintenance to keep it running
4. It costs money to make or buy a robot
14. Today we find most robots working for people in industries, factories,
warehouses, and laboratories. Robots are useful in many ways. For
instance, it boosts economy because businesses need to be efficient
to keep up with the industry competition. Therefore, having robots
helps business owners to be competitive, because robots can do jobs
better and faster than humans can, e.g. robot can built, assemble a
car. Yet robots cannot perform every job; today robots roles include
assisting research and industry. Finally, as the technology improves,
there will be new ways to use robots which will bring new hopes and
new potentials.
