Audacity allows you to record an MP3 file by opening the program, clicking the red record button to begin recording audio, and then pressing the brown stop button when finished; the recording can then be exported and saved as an MP3 file.

1. Using Audacity to create
a quick MP3 File.

2. Open Audacity and
you’ll see a screen like this.

3. Click on the red button and
start recording.
You can use headphones if
you’d like.

4. While you are recording,
you’ll see your sound waves.

5. When you have finished
Recording your intro,
press the brown STOP button.

6. Then go to File, then Export.

7. Name File, save some place
you can remember.
Save as:
MP3 File.
You are done.
