Resources are anything that has utility and adds value to your life. Air, water, food, plants, animals, minerals, metals, and everything else that exists in nature and has utility to mankind is a ‘Resource’. The value of each such resource depends on its utility and other factors, e.g. metals are gold, silver, copper or bronze have economic value; i.e. they can be exchanged for money. Mountains, rivers, sea or forests are also resources but they do not have economic value. The given presentation briefly explants about the classification and availability of bio-resources and natural resources( mainly emphasizing on Indian natural and bio-resources) and also describes about bioproducts or green products.

A MODEL TO ESTIMATE STORED CARBON IN THE UPLAND FORESTS OF THE WANGGU WATERSHEDAsramid Yasin
Abstract
Climate change coupled with deforestation has brought about an increase in greenhouse gas emissions in the
atmosphere. One way to control climate change is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by maintaining the integrity
of natural forests and increasing the density of tree populations. This research aimed to (a) identifies the density
of stand trees in the upland forests of the Wanggu Watershed; (b) analyze the potential carbon stocks contained in
the upstream forests of the Wanggu Watershed; (c) develop a model to estimate potential carbon stocks in the
upland forests of the Wanggu Watershed. The land cover classification in this study used the guided classification
with the Object-Based Image algorithm. Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) was employed as an
indicator of vegetation cover density. Field measurements were carried out by calculating the diameter of the stand
trees in 30 observation plots. Field biomass values were obtained through allometric equations. Regression analysis
was conducted to determine the correlation between NDVI densities and field biomass. The results showed that
the best equation for estimating potential carbon stocks in the Wanggu Watershed forest area was y = 3.48 (Exp.
7,435x), with an R2 of 50.2%. Potential above ground biomass carbon in the Wanggu Watershed based on NDVI
values was 414,043.26 tons in 2019, consist of protected forest areas of 279,070.15 tons and production forests of
134,973.11 tons. While total above biomass carbon based on field measurement reached 529,541.01 tons, consist
of protected forests of 419,197.82 tons and production forests of 110,343.20 tons.
Integrated management of the environment of amazon to promote its sustainable...Fernando Alcoforado
To avoid the devastation of the Amazon rainforest and ensure that the natural resources in the Amazon are used rationally for the benefit of the vast majority of the population being a resident and economic and social progress in Brazil, as well as to combat global warming, it is essential to have a effective environmental management based on a network structure that integrates the actions of all public and private bodies operating in the Amazon.
This report gives an overview of the current status and potential future of the principal ecosystems of the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) and, by association, the well-being of millions of people who are dependent on the region’s ecosystem services.
HOW THE LULA GOVERNMENT CAN PROMOTE ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY IN THE AMAZO...Faga1939
This article aims to present proposals that enable the Lula government to promote the environmental and ecological sustainability of the Amazon. There are several environmental problems that affect the Amazon. The Amazon Forest is threatened with destruction due to deforestation and fires resulting from the expansion of agricultural and logging activities, mineral exploration that has been leaving a legacy of poverty and serious socio-environmental impacts, the implementation of highways that have been causing great environmental impacts in the Amazon and the hydroelectric plants whose planned reservoirs are causing so many negative impacts to the environment that their construction should not have taken place. Of all the existing environmental problems in the Amazon, the main one concerns deforestation and fires which result in the emission of CO2 into the atmosphere. In order to avoid the devastation of the Amazon Forest and ensure that the natural resources existing in the Amazon are used rationally for the benefit of the vast majority of the population living there and for the economic and social progress of Brazil, as well as the fight against global warming, it is essential that there be effective environmental management based on a network structure that integrates the actions of all public and private agencies operating in the Amazon.

In the past decades, the Rio Grande bosque in Albuquerque has been under significant stress due to drought, invasive species, climate change, wildfire, and other anthropogenic influences.
The bosque is a huge part of the local community, as it is home to a huge network of trails and attractions and visited regularly by hundreds of people year-round.
The preservation and restoration of urban forests around the globe such as this one is critical for conserving biodiversity in cities, providing access for people to enjoy natural beauty, and producing clean air and water.

Approximately 40 percent of the Moscow
Region is covered by forestland. More
than 300 rivers also traverse the region.
Beyond the seven million people who live
in the region, Moscow is home to dozens
of mammal species, more than 170
species of birds and a handful of aquatic
and amphibian species.
In 2010, the massive forest fire burned
more than 100 000 hectares in Moscow
Region, destroying wildlife habitat and
popular recreation sites for the densely
populated region. The damage has had
a drastic effect on the local ecosystem,
wiping out wildlife habitat, causing
increased erosion and decreased water
quality, and putting massive amounts of
stored carbon back into the atmosphere.

4. ABOUT THE PROJECT BUSINESS TO FOREST
The project is designed according to
international principles:
Accuracy: The quantified greenhouse gas
or carbon reductions will represent actual
emission reductions. These reductions
are based on approved methodologies
used by CDM and Gold Standard, yearly
monitoring and reporting. Moscow State
Forest University (MGUL) is the scientific
partner of the project.
Permanence: Permanence is commonly
referred to as the useful life of a project
in reducing carbon emissions. The forestlands being restored through this project
have been declared as «Protected Forests
of Moscow» by the Federal Forestry
Agency where no economic activity can
be done.
Leakage: Leakage is the positive or
negative impacts of a project on the
surrounding area outside the project’s
boundary. We had assessed the negative
impact and tried to minimize those
inevitable effects.
Environmental Benefits
Social Benefits
Climate Change Mitigation. Reforestation
combats climate change by carbon
sequestration. The amount of sequestered
carbon will be measured according to
international standards.
Lo c a l E m p l o y m e n t . T h e p ro j e c t
establishes alternative sources of income
and employment opportunities for local
people.
Air Quality Improvement. All forests
of Moscow region have official status«P ro t e c t i ve f o re s t s o f M o s c o w ».
Improvements in air quality generated
by reforestation extend beyond the
sequestration of CO 2 : growing trees
will remo ve air p o llu tan ts su ch as
nitrogen oxides, ammonia and sulfur
dioxide from cars and factories.
Wildlife Habitat Re-establishment.
Reforestation of forest land destroyed
by fire will create valuable wildlife habitat.
In turn, wildlife habitat generates forest
litter, which is an important part of the
food chain and enriches the soil.
Providing habitat for endangered and
threatened species is another potential
benefit.
Erosion Control and Water Treatment.
Tree roots stabilize land soil, which is
susceptible to erosion. By stabilizing the
soil, trees prevent sediment and nutrients
from washing into nearby streams and
rivers. Erosion control and water quality
potential prognosis will be made using
MGUL developed methods.
Recreational Benefits. The reforested
land will provide passive recreational
opportunities gathering forest produce
in cultural and well-being terms, such
as camping, hiking and bird watching.
Recreational potential prognosis will be
made using MGUL developed methods.
Non timber forest products (NTFP).
Local communities will get the opportunity
of gathering forest produce in cultural
and well-being terms including wild
mushrooms, berries, tree boughs, cones,
m o s s , sy r u p , h o n ey a n d m e d i c i n a l
