QUALITY PARAMETERS – INDUSTRIAL CENTRIFUGAL PROCESS FANSNeelRao
It matters a lot when the time comes for selecting a quality industrial centrifugal process fan for your factory. It has to be selected carefully as high-quality industrial centrifugal process fans play a significant role in proper air handling arrangements in any factory. If you have to install a fan in a factory or manufacturing plant then you must consider many elements to fulfill your specific requirements.
Centrifugal fan which is also called as squirrel cage fan because of its hamster wheel design is widely used to move air/gas continuously in industries and commercial applications. The speed of the air stream entering into the fan, is increased by the impeller thereby it gains kinetic energy and accelerates radially changing the direction by 90°. As these fans are capable of displacing constant volume of air/gas at increased speed, they are widely used in various process applications in industries such as in material handling, boiler applications, transporting gas or materials, ventilation and combustion, air circulation and in other HVAC systems.
DRAUGHT FANS – WORKHORSES OF INDUSTRIAL PROCESSING PLANTSNeelRao
A draught fan is a variety of industrial process fan, also called a blower, that is extensively used in factories of several sectors in the industry. These fans are among the most crucial elements in any factory/plant, and can hence be called workhorses of industrial processing plants. Draught fans can be further segregated into two sub-categories- FD (forced draught) fans and ID (induced draught) fans.

Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).

Securing your Kubernetes cluster_ a step-by-step guide to success !KatiaHIMEUR1
Today, after several years of existence, an extremely active community and an ultra-dynamic ecosystem, Kubernetes has established itself as the de facto standard in container orchestration. Thanks to a wide range of managed services, it has never been so easy to set up a ready-to-use Kubernetes cluster.
However, this ease of use means that the subject of security in Kubernetes is often left for later, or even neglected. This exposes companies to significant risks.
In this talk, I'll show you step-by-step how to secure your Kubernetes cluster for greater peace of mind and reliability.
A tale of scale & speed: How the US Navy is enabling software delivery from l...sonjaschweigert1
Rapid and secure feature delivery is a goal across every application team and every branch of the DoD. The Navy’s DevSecOps platform, Party Barge, has achieved:
- Reduction in onboarding time from 5 weeks to 1 day
- Improved developer experience and productivity through actionable findings and reduction of false positives
- Maintenance of superior security standards and inherent policy enforcement with Authorization to Operate (ATO)
Development teams can ship efficiently and ensure applications are cyber ready for Navy Authorizing Officials (AOs). In this webinar, Sigma Defense and Anchore will give attendees a look behind the scenes and demo secure pipeline automation and security artifacts that speed up application ATO and time to production.
We will cover:
- How to remove silos in DevSecOps
- How to build efficient development pipeline roles and component templates
- How to deliver security artifacts that matter for ATO’s (SBOMs, vulnerability reports, and policy evidence)
- How to streamline operations with automated policy checks on container images

Climate Impact of Software Testing at Nordic Testing DaysKari Kakkonen
My slides at Nordic Testing Days 6.6.2024
Climate impact / sustainability of software testing discussed on the talk. ICT and testing must carry their part of global responsibility to help with the climat warming. We can minimize the carbon footprint but we can also have a carbon handprint, a positive impact on the climate. Quality characteristics can be added with sustainability, and then measured continuously. Test environments can be used less, and in smaller scale and on demand. Test techniques can be used in optimizing or minimizing number of tests. Test automation can be used to speed up testing.
2. Axial flow fan is basically a device that works on the
principle of increasing the total pressure applied on air in a
device. By applying pressure on the air, the Axial flow fan
moves the air in a direction parallel to the shaft. The shaft
is the place where the blades of the fan are mounted on the
main axle. The fan is designed in such a way that the
propeller maintains a pressure difference and thus it
retains the flow of air across the fan blades. the blades of
the propeller are made up of aluminum alloy or wood and
provide good performance. Thus as they are used in varied
conditions we should pay attention to the Criteria for
selecting the proper axial flow fans.
For more information Click Here.
3. Many parameters are to be kept in mind for selecting the
proper fan fit for your use:
• We need to confirm that the fan brake horse power (BHP) is low enough
that when environmental , drive and the losses from the motor are added to
it the HP does not exceed.
• We need to be sure that the horse power per blade or known as the
mechanical unit is not exceeded with more blades or more power imparted
to the system.
For more information Click Here.
4. • Check whether the temperature at the fan exceeds the maximum fan
operating temperature. If it does this fan could lead to over heating and
thus is not desirable.
• We need to duly calculate the blade frequency. The blade frequency is
an important measure of the performance of the fan.
• We also need to calculate the beam passing frequency.
• Lastly, also calculate the 1x harmonic speed of fan. It should be such
that the fan could work at its optimum efficiency.
• Also need to check the noise created by the fan with respect to the noise
limit specifications. This level is referred to as sound pressure level. As,
one could understand extra noise can produce hindrance in the working
of any device thus this parameter in very important.
For more information Click Here.
5. Axial flow fans are a very important part of any industry today.
Their uses in all industries are immense. They are used in jets to
even small and tiny appliances.
According to the different specifications uses are:
• Mxflo: Engineered to fit Mahle T65 viscous clutch
• Sickle: Radiators, compressors, generators, engine cooling
& refrigeration
• Increasing arc: Construction, Engine Power Units
• Pressure max: Tier 4/Stage III B engine cooling
• True Reversible: Wood drying kilns, Food Processing,
Radiators
• Airfoil: Cooling towers, engine cooling, HVAC, Refrigeration,
engine cooling
• Broad Profile: Cooling Towers, Coil Applications,
Condensers, Refrigeration, Ventilation
