For the main edit, some shots will need to be rearranged or refilmed to better fit the timing of the music and tell the story. Black and white and flashback effects are used well but will be improved, and the order of clips will better match the storyboard.

Avicii wake me up (rough edit) evaluation
- 1. Lewis Dunn Avicii, Wake Me Up (Rough Edit) Evaluation The rough edit has pretty much all the clips and effects already put in which I will be using in my main edit. But at some parts the clips look unfocused, too exposed or just not a good shot. There are many things I will change when doing my main edit like some shots don’t fit the timing of music and I will have to rearrange some clips which then the story should make more sense. At the start of the edit the storyboard says its early morning so I will use the brightness effect to dim the lighting of the sky, and brighten the clips up as it gets more to early day. I have already tested this effect in some of the rough edits clips but still need more work. I like how for the flash back I have turned the clips black and white to show that it is a memory from his past and I will be using this effect later in my main edit. Also for some clips I’ve used the transition: Dissolve/ Dip to white this makes a flash sort off effect which shows that it has transferred to a flashback. It also looks good and works well with the music. The rough edit doesn’t exactly match up to the storyboard so in the main I will put the clips in more of the storyboards order. Also there are clips where Dan is running and he is wearing different clothes this completely ruins the edit so I will re-film the running clips so it won’t look odd when he suddenly changes clothes half way into the edit.
