channels of communication that
carry messages with an
instructional purpose. They are
usually utilised for the sole
purpose of learning
and teaching (Web crawler,
2013).
AV AIDS
Audio refers to sound waves that
can normally be heard by
the human ear.
Visual implies relating to the
sense of feeling
Aids implies those
instructional device or
teaching aids which make
teaching more effective
DEFINITION OF AV AIDS
Audio visual aids are anything by means of
which learning process may be encouraged or carried on
through the sense of hearing or sense of sight.

to forget. Proper use of teaching

image when the students see,
hear, taste and smell properly.

example for conceptual thinking.

• Those who have Learning Disabilities
• Student who have English as a secondary
Language
• Those having Oppositional Defiant Disorder
• Personality Development Delay
• Have the problem of Hearing Impairment
• Have the symptoms of Attention Deficit
Hyperactivity Disorder ADHD

Final words
Audio-visual aids surely facilitate language learning.
Both the teachers and learners are benefited from
different audio-visuals materials in language
classrooms. Audio-visuals make the language teaching
and learning effective making the class interactive and
interesting, motivating the learners, facilitating
language skills and so many.
It definitely increases the interest, knowledge and
proficiency in English language among the students .
