2. 1. ARE YOU MALE OR FEMALE?
Male – 14
Female – 6
These results show that my research was carried out on
both male and female members, which fits my target
audience. While they are not split equally, both genders have
a suitable amount of results.
3. 2. HOW OLD ARE YOU?
While not all categories had an even split of the
audience (>36 had none), 16 -25 fits into my target audience
specification which shows that the majority of results fitted into
my target audience. This defiantly emphasises the fact that I
will need to cater to this demographic within my magazine.

4. 3. WHAT FREQUENCY WOULD YOU
EXPECT FOR A MUSIC MAGAZINE?
The vast majority of results for this question was
weekly, which clearly shows the preferred frequency for my
music magazine. The only two other options of note, Bi -Weekly
and Monthly, show that they could be suitable for my magazine
as well. The Daily option only had one vote, and nobody showed
interest in any other option.

5. 4. WHAT PRICE WOULD YOU BE WILLING
TO PAY FOR THE Q3 FREQUENCY?
My results for this question reflected the results in
Question 3, the ≤£2 demographic mainly reflected the views of
people who selected weekly as their frequency, ≤£3 for BiWeekly/Monthly and ≤£1 for Daily/Weekly results. My chosen
price for my music magazine should therefore reflect my chosen
frequency as well, for example a weekly magazine if chosen

would use the ≤£1 - ≤£2

6. 5. WHAT DO YOU LIKE/DISLIKE ABOUT
CURRENT MUSIC MAGAZINES?
Likes – Some relevant results for this part of the question
included Concert/Band Reviews, a way to discover new
musicians and the magazines being clearly structured/well
written
Dislikes – Mainly included adverts, but some people also
brought up the fact that some magazines are biased and
dishonest
The results of these points show me what type of content I
should include in my magazines but also what I should not
include. The dislike of biased magazines could show that I
could advertise my magazine as being honest and unbiased
compared to other magazines which are not
7. 6. LIST SOME OF YOU FAVOURITE BANDS
This question was asked to find out which bands to
include for regular but especially feature content in my
magazine. For this question I had a very wide variety of
results, and one band was hardly ever featured more than once.
However, the traits of the bands almost always stayed the
same. While I will not be obliged to pick a popular band from
the results, I will be able to pick any as they are all liked my
target audience and tie in with the genre of music my magazine
portrays.
8. 7. WHAT MUSIC MAGAZINES DO YOU
READ FREQUENTLY?
This question has showed me what type of magazines my
target audience likes to read, it is apparent from the results
that most of the target audience reads both NME and Kerrang!
frequently. Therefore I should focus on including the appeal of
these magazines in my own. This is suitable as both NME and
Kerrang! are related to the chosen music genre of my magazine.

9. 8. WHAT COLOURS WOULD YOU
ASSOCIATE WITH THE ALTERNATIVE
ROCK/INDIE ROCK GENRE?
While this question didn’t provide a definitive set of
results, a few colours stood out as being popular choices:
Red, Black, White and Yellow. These colours seem like good
choices to include as part of the house style a choice will still
need to be made about which are the main and secondary
colours and where colours should go which can make a big
