The student plans to create a magazine about how York has changed over time for their target audience of teenagers aged 16-24 living in York. Each page will focus on a different decade from the 1980s to the 2020s using images and facts to show York's development. They will research York's history and use Photoshop to design the magazine. This project will help prepare them for their final major project and improve their production skills. They intend to complete a front cover, two double page spreads, and back cover showing how York has become more commercial.

2. Time
 Time eras of York during different decades, time is our theme, and our target
audience is people in York, therefore I am choosing to do this.

3. What I intend to make
 I intend to make a product for our primary target audience which is teenagers
aged 16 – 24-year-olds based in York. This will be related to the theme of time.
Putting both together, I will be making a magazine and each page will be a
different year to show the development of York over time.

5. Why I want to make it from a personal
point of view
 I want to make it because it will help me prepare for my FMP and improve my
skills in ideas and production, and also evaluation too. It is also an interesting
subject theme I am doing so it will be good to research on the topic

6. Why this is suitable for the project from
an audience point of view
 It is suitable for my audience because it applies to my target audience well,
because of my theme of time and it being about York, which is where my target
audience is based, this may interest them if they wanted to know about the history
of the place they live, especially with York being a historical city. To appeal more
to this target audience, I will use a brighter colour scheme and eye-catching titles
to make it clearer and more visible to read

7. What you intend to deliver at the end of
production
 I intend to deliver a good level of production of my product and keep to the
theme of time in York

8. Any research and resources you will need
for the production
 I will need to research about the recent history of York as it is the main contents of
my magazine, and find images, facts and statistics to use. I will need the resources
of Photoshop and the computer with internet so I can access it and save all of my
work on OneDrive.

9. How does it link to your specialism and
FMP
 This is good practice for my FMP because I am practising planning, production
and improving my skills on Photoshop to create this project, I haven't done
anything like this theme of time yet, so this should be good practice for my FMP
soon. I can also practice evaluation as I am doing a weekly evaluation PowerPoint
to sum up everything I have done and what I will do.

17. Equipment List
 I will use a computer in college to make this product, it will need internet access
so I can save my work online and also Photoshop because this is the software I will
use to create my work. I won't be doing a video project, so I won’t need any
cameras, lighting, etc.

18. Production Schedule
 Week 1 Production (12th – 14th Jan) – I will start off my magazine by doing my
front cover, and my first double page spread and collecting images to use for
them and add edits to them to blur them together and show the contrasts.
 Week 2 Production (19th – 21st Jan) - I will continue with my production and
finish it off in this week and do another double page spread. I'll finish off my
work and make sure it is all completed, and I've used all the images I need. Then
I'll upload it all to my Wix site.

 For my front cover and back cover, I will do them on the same double page spread
and use guide layouts in the middle of the page to separate them. The back cover
is on the left and the front cover is on the right, this is so you can fold it over and
present it
