What is the wage? –
It depends on the shift. AM shift is £9.11ph (40hrs per week). PM and Nights is £10.08
(37.5hrs per week). Shifts are Mon to Fri. Time and a half for weekends.
What holiday's do staff get?
Its 28 days per year. The 1st year they are on an accrual basis so works out at just
over 2.3 days per month.
How many roles are available?
It’s hard to quantify it but there’s generally a place for anyone who’s willing to give it a
proper go.
What is the application process?
Is there a job spec and an application form to send? – I’ll interview them and then invite
them to an induction if all goes well. All paperwork will be sorted at the induction stage.
Skills and Qualities
A skill requires learning,
often acquired through
specialist training and
knowledge. It can be
loosely defined as the
‘what’ we can do well
A quality, on the other
hand, is more about
‘who’ we are as a
person; a distinctive
attribute or
characteristic
possessed by someone
or something.
What are
transferable skills?
Transferable skills are a core set of skills and abilities,
which can be applied to a wide range of different jobs and
industries. They're usually developed over time, and can
be gained from previous positions, charity or voluntary
work, your hobbies, or even just at home.
